Synopsis:	Jean and Logan scout the perimeter for unfriendlies

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Lately, the school has been fairly quiet as kids were on winter break. But now that a new semester has started, people are starting to trickle back in and that's left the teachers very busy. But at least the weather has improved greatly, which makes her job sooo much easier. A cool winter frost still lingers in the air, and her breath is still visible as she stands on the school's front yard, dressed in a short green wool coat over jeans and a cream sweater, staring intently up at the sky, a concerned look on her face. Seems she's searching for..Something?

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> Logan is moving his way through the school. Taking in the sights. Peopel are slowly starting to bring life into the place. Before long he is out in the front yard pulling on the familiar brown bomber jacket. It hides most of the simple flannel shirt that clings to his frame. The shirt tucked neatly into his jeans, Logan walks out still taking in the sights. Ocean blue eyes help make small notes, "Hey Darlin'," he says in greeting to Jean.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey spreads out her arms and hovers a few feet off the ground so that she can get a better view of the sky..But there is nothing of interest to see. The sky is clear and blue, not a snowflake in sight, not even a cloud. So why...She closes her eyes, about to scan the area for hostile life forms, when a familiar voice cuts through her thoughts.\<br\>\<br\>"Huh..?" She blinks, coming back down, landing softly on the snow blanketed ground with a soft crunch. "Logan, hey! It's been a long time. How have you been? Did you have a good winter break?" she smiles warmly at him.

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> "Alright n' not much happened," Logan replies. She would know this is his way of saying, "I don't want to talk about it." He gives her an odd look, "Did ya loose Slim again or is somethin' else?" he asks. Jean normally doesn't do the flying bit unless there's something she can't find. Usually, it's important when she does this.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey smiles faintly at that, shaking her head. Although she does seem slightly concerned. "No, it's not that." she sighs, pondering, "Actually one of the students reported seeing an unidentified flying object orbiting over Westchester. Details were pretty vague, I wasn't sure what to make of it, but until I find that student for questioning, got to make sure the school is safe at least." she smiles tiredly at him. "So much for a good start to the school term.."

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> "In this place, that could be anythin' darlin'." Logan's guard is up. However, he can think of three people that can fly at the school alone. This list does -not- include Jean. It's possible that they saw something. It does merit -some- investigation, but Logan isn't too worried. If this object gets friends, or does something outside of flying, then the guard will go up more. "Any of the scanners pick up anythin'?" he asks.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey sighs and shakes her head, "Not yet..It could be they are either cloaked, or out of range. And it might be nothing, but w can't take that chance. At any rate, it wouldn't hurt to do a quick walk around, just to be sure. Maybe I will find this Kit while we're at it." she smiles, "Care to join me?"

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> "You gonna actually walk or do the flyin' thing? My feet are stuck ont he ground darlin'," Logan knows the adamantium skeleton makes things difficult sometimes. Logan suspects it would cause similar chaos with flight, if he ever could. "If ya stick to the skies n' wear a com, I can do the on foot lookin'. See if I can sniff somethin' out besides yer perfume n' conditioner." They're goo smells, but they're overpowering a lot of the other scents in the air. It does render his skill slightly moot, if necessary.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey chuckles, "Of course it would be easier for to fly, check skywards while you scout the ground." she nods, tapping her comm, "Never leave home without it. Keep in touch, let me know if you find anything. Let's meet up in the back yard." she peers around thoughtfully as she starts to go airborne, "I'm sure you know what to look for."

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> Logans own come chimes off from inside the coat. He does put the one on his uniform toward the chest. "Got mine," he chimes back on the charm then he starts to move with some hustle. He'll stop, "Sniff. Sniff," and Logan will move off again. Ocean blue eyes looking over everything to make sure scents line up with sights. This can be a way to find someone out. If an unidentified scent makes its way up his nose, Logan can see if someone is invisible. "Anythin'?" Logan asks.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey takes to the skies, using her powers to psychically scan the area. And realky there's a lot of area to cover, but fortunately she is able to cover a fairly large area thanks to Phoenix in addition to her own powers. Perhaps there is something that the mansion's scanners could not detect, a hidden, alien mind or the like. But so far, she finds nothing out of the ordinary.\<br\>\<br\>She frowns a bit, wondering if she should extend her scan to beyond the school grounds, but right now her priority is protecting the Mansion and its inhabitants. "Nothing up here out of the ordinary. You?"

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> "Same," he replies but presses onward. Keeping his nose figuartively low to the ground, he'll move. Sniffing along the way, Logan sees what he can rouse, if anything. Logan's just on a hunt to keep the school safe. The few students about will see how Logan moves, they may think he's a new night watchmen. They'll adjust any plans to sneak out. This complicates things highly.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey continues to scout the skies, using both her physical senses as well as her psychic senses. But it seems there is no unusual activity above or below for that matter. Which should be a good thing, but where did that report come from...? With a sigh, she descends to the ground again, landing in the back. "Skies are clear, no threats detected. You finished scouting the ground?"

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> "Mostly," Logan says firmly, but continues to move. Ocean blue eyes loking to see the same things the nose can sus out. Freshly cut grass, the winter night's air, and the normal smells that linger at the school. "When was it reported?" Logan gruffs, trying to see if maybe they can figure out the area.

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey nods, waiting in the back yard, sitting on a bench, waiting for him to join her. "That report? Oh about two hours ago. I only just saw it myself so.." she shrugs, "I did a psi scan but I haven't detected his presence on the school grounds so he may well be in town. I am hesitant to leave the school however, incase whatever he saw is still out there. It may be best to wait here until Kit returns." she shrugs, "We have done all we can, for now. and tomorrow is a big day with school starting up again. But then I guess someone like you doesn't need to rest ever."

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> Logan doesn't quite take a walk toward the bench, but it's far from a run. "We should send out people like Rogue n' Warren to look about. Extend out past the school a little," Logan says just thinking they need to expand their perimeter. However, he will sit ont he bench. "Didn't find nothin' on the ground. Nothin' outta place smell wise, couldn't see anythin' eeither," he admits and looks back to her. "Hopefully just a false alarm darlin'."

Phoenix has posed:\<br\>Jean Grey nods and taps her comm, reaching out to other Xmen to do just that. "Done. We can make sure things are safe at home, hopefully they can return with more information about this. In the meantime, relax, we've done our part."she draws a deep breath and smiles, glancing at him thoughtfully. "So, how did you spend your winter break?"

Wolverine has posed:\<br\> Logan smirks. "Like I said, not much," he says then gives a nod. "What 'bout you. Did you do anythin' fun? Slim take ya anywhere good?" Logan poses, he's genuinely curious. He'll smirk thinking Scott is someone that would visit an amish village as fun.
