Cast of Characters: Wolverine, Rogue

Wolverine has posed:
Logan's looking out the window in the backyard. Fall and Summer are fighting over which season is in control. Honestly, Logan is fine with the heat staying around despite it being September. Ocean blue eyes look over the students moving about. They're watching, studying as the gears in his head turns.

"Somethin's different 'round these parts. I can feel a change in the air n' it's got me thinkin'. I'm sick of standin' by," Logan's gaze doesn't move when he says the words. Rogue is about in the room. It's why Logan is actually speaking aloud instead of internalizing his thoughts. He's using her as part sound board, but Rogue is good council. So, the man's taking advantage of that quite a bit.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't usually bother Logan when he's in one of those sort of broody thinking moods he gets into every once in a while. So she's content with just sitting in bed, legs tucked up, pillows keeping her propped and reading a book. Of course, she keeps her ears open for the just in case - so when Logan does begin to speak, she puts her book down, marking her place, and looks over to him.

"I'm goin' ta guess you ain't just talkin' bout the weather what can't make up it's mind..." She begins, setting her book aside and turning more towards him so he has all her attention. Even if she's currently talking to his back. "What do you feel, Logan? What's changing?"
Wolverine has posed:
"I've been thinkin' 'bout it since Betsy n' I talked. She talked about 'Chuck's Dream' n' how it works or does this n' that. It made me think of Chuck's Dream. What he wanted all of us to do," his gaze continues to just look. Honestly, it's unfocused, the gears are just turning.

"It feels like I'm starin' at a bunch of puzzle pieces. I see how some fit bit can't quite figure out how to put em' in the bigger picture. Other pieces I see don't fit. I'm wonderin' what I can do to boot somethin' in the ass n' put a fire under it," he admits honestly. Logan hates admitting that he feels like the answer is so close yet so far.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue rolls her eyes. "You can't make everyone fit. It's impossible..." She stands then and walks up to him, lifting a hand to place on his shoulder. "Even if you could, not everyone would accept it. You have to let them find their place. To fit in where they wish to... or don't wish to. Charles had a dream... but it's not on us to force that dream into a reality. We're just here to make sure these kids grow up in a safe space."
Wolverine has posed:
"I think we're even failin' at that. And I ain't talkin' 'bout forcin' people. I just feel like we're slackin'. I'm tryin' to figure out how to connect the solution I see, the School bein' stronger, wit' how everything is now. I know it can be fixed, but I don't know how," Logan admits honestly. Those ocean blue eyes look toward Rogue for a moment. "I feel like I'm not doin' my part there. So, I'm tryin' to figure out how to pull more of my weight," Logan hates that he feels that way.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue sighs. "I don't know what to tell you then. I don't think we're failing... I think we're doing our best with what we have. Charles ain't here... so why the hell do we have to keep his dream alive? These kids are happy, healthy and learning. There's not much more to want for, is there?" She turns then, sitting on the edge of the bed then. "There's no more weight to pull for what isn't there to do or fix..."
Wolverine has posed:
"The kids are happy, but I'm feelin' like somethin' is wrong, missiin' or needin' fxin'," Logan shakes his head. "I'll figure it out," then he sits on the bed fr a moment. "How are ya feelin'?" he asks honestly on that front.
Rogue has posed:
"Does this mean that until you do figure it out you're going to be a mopey grump the whole time?" Rogue gently teases before shifting to settle back in the bed once more. She fluffs up her pillows, tucks her legs in and nestles back all content-like. And closes her eyes. "Also, I'm fine."
Wolverine has posed:
"Naw. A couple of sleepless nights, but nothin' too bad," he admiits honestly. A smirk pulls at his lips. Logan tosses a look at her before he tosses a pillow at her. "Good. Hate it when yer a pair of grumpy pants too," he says with a smirk.
