It's still relatively early on a Friday, just approaching the noon hour, which means there's a variety of people walking the mall, but not where it's overwhelmingly crowded. Lots of kids off school for the summer, some older folks taking their laps, and lots of business types from the Trade Center offices upstairs coming down for an early lunch when they can't go out to someplace fancier for a couple hours worth of business lunching.
One of the girls in question is notable in that, unlike moving in a pack like most of the students here, is separate, walking by herself as she idly slings a Victoria Secret bag over her shoulder. She slows as she approachs one of the fancier trendy stores, with a variety of club wear complete with blacklight and glowing jewelry in the window as she purses her lips, her eyes roving over them, before she sighs and keeps walking.
Not for the first time, Rachel reflects on the tragic state of her bank account...losing that metabrawl match and then compounding it by betting on the losing fighter in a later match really have cut down on her available cash reserves. But...she's determined to find something to add to her slowly expanding wardrobe. Something fun. That she'll actually pay for.
That Kitty won't give her those disapproving eyes over when she sees her next, if nothing else.
