An Apology
Date of Scene: 18 January 2024
Location: Logan's Room (North Halls), Xavier's School
Synopsis: Rogue apologizes to Logan with words. And cigars. And shirts.
Cast of Characters: Rogue, Wolverine

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is sitting on her usual perch of a window ledge with the window itself cracked open so she can smoke on a cigarette. On the bed are a couple wrapped boxes, not in Christmas wrapping, but something more ordinary. Plain white paper really. She glances from outside the window to the door, her left leg bouncing a bit while her right leg is tucked under her in the way she usually sits on the ledge. To make things more drastically dreary - it's pouring rain outside.
Wolverine has posed:
Logan is actually outside of the mansion. And for once he's using an umbrella. Ocean blue eyes are just doing a bit of looking. He's nearly done with a peremiter check. Yes, the simple umbrella sticks out thanks to the white and black colors, but that's the point. The rain can mask some scents. So, Logan's trying to make himself an easy target in case something is stupid enough to try.

Rogue would recognize him moving close to their window, but the intent is to keep moving. She could always stop him or call out to the short man.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue blinks as she spots the umbrella, and she knows who it belongs to. Curious why he's using THAT one and walking around the mansion but to each their own. "Loooogan! You're wanted upstairs..." She calls down, making him an even easier target because she's just called him out. She'll apologize for that too if she can get him to come inside the mansion and upstairs to their room.
Wolverine has posed:
"Who's asking?" Logan asks with a smirk. His gaze goes upward as he looks toward the source to that particular voice. He knows who it belongs to. Still, Logan's not going toi rush off to the source just yet. Right now, Logan's just going to draw this out for a moment or two.
Rogue has posed:
"Someone who has something really important to say but isn't going to yell it down so the whole school can hear!" Rogue replies with a grin. She knows he's teasing her. Playing with her. Perhaps making her suffer for whatever reason. That's fine. She can get him back for that later. "I mean, unless you don't wanna talk. Or open your presents... I can just return them.... and go fly off to WhereversVille for a while..."
Wolverine has posed:
Logan smirks a little bit at that comment. Ocean blue eyes watch at her for just a second more. It's just to annoy her and truly test the stupidity of those about. They would never take a shot at Logan so close to the mansion, but stupier things have happened before. Logan will make his way through the mansion. Properly dispose of the umbrella. Everything that needs to be done to avoid tracking in too much water. Then he just shows up in the room. No knocking, just an entrance. Ocean blue eyes scan the small room unsure if Rogue would have stayed in her spot. "Presents fer what? What did ya do?" Logan asks with a smirk pulling at his lips.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue snerks and shakes her head, putting out the cigarette her usual way and then shuts the window. Turning, she stands straight and walks over towards him. "See, you think you got me by asking that. Thinking I'm going to play innocent or somethin'. But I ain't. I mean I didn't do anything -wrong- per se... but I also didn't do somethin' right." She says this as she picks up the bigger rectangular box wrapped in white. It can still be lfited with one hand it's just on the bulkier side.

"I didn't put a lot of faith in you being able to put trust in Nathaniel. I guess a part of me was scared you'd take the first change ya got and try to rip 'im apart." She pauses and takes a breath. "I was wrong. You listened, and you gave input, and I think you actually do mean to help take care of...whatever the hell that is what's coming." She holds the box out to him then. "I'm sorry I doubted you. I'm sorry I was snippy with you about it. Forgive me?"
Wolverine has posed:
Logan's face actually turns serious when she brings up the word "Right." That's when Rogue tells him, this is indeed serious. And so, he listens. Then his eyes go down at the next set of words. "Ya should have," Logan's not going to lie there. "You were one of the first to cast doubt when ya should have been the opposite," Logan says knowing that those words are going to sting. They're meant to.

"I ain't gonna lie n' say I haven't thought of killin' Sinister as much as an athlete dreams of winnin' whatever championship they're gonna for. I have. I just trust those two assholes to have an interest in keepin' the world spinning. No one to dupe, reign over n' anything else if we're all dead," Logan will take the gift for a moment. "But wee've all made mistakes. We'll see how disappointed I am after the gifts," yes, there is only one in his hands that he knows of. Rogue just has girlfriend advantages if she feels things are going South. He knows she's not afraid to use them, either.
Rogue has posed:
Once the gift is unwrapped he'll find it's a box of cigars. Not just any. His favorite. In one of those specially humidified boxes to keep them fresher for longer. And they likely traveled a long way to get here. "I know. But where there's history there was enough room to wiggle in some doubt. People say I trust Nathaniel too much. But I'm always going to argue that I keep him just close enough where he thinks he has a hold. He doesn't. And I don't call him by that other name cause a name means something. I give the evil inside him power if I use that name. Or so I believe." It's that sort of free world hippie vibe coming through from her upbringing. SOmetimes you can't put that down no matter how hard you try. "Sooooo.....do you forgive me?"
Wolverine has posed:
Seeing the box, Logan lets out a long whistle. He stifles a comment. "Bringin' out some big guns today Darlin'," Logan's going to be a little hard pressed to not forgive. The gift is extremely thoughtful.

"When it came to you n' Sinister, I trusted you. I thought he was takin' advantage of -you-. People can be deceptive when they get in people's ears. Look at Jamestown, Waco n' people that lead those places. So, I was worried ya were gettin' wooled pulled over yer eyes. My fear wasn't -wit- you, but what was happenin' -to- you." Logan pauses for a moment. "But that still hurt. That still stung. Ya forgave me fer that. I can fergive ya fer this. Just give me more credit next time, 'cause I got a lot of favorite n' a lot of resources. If I -needed- him dead, he'd be dead. Hell, maybe I'd just send the guy to Heaven. Put him in a place he can't do anythin' n' keep the boyfriend upset." Logan's not sure if he knows an angel. Well, an actual angel. Warren doesn't count.

He believes that there would be a friend, or a friend of a friend, that cold aid Logan. So, he could give it a try.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue listens, nods, and finally just holds her hands up. "Enough said. Forgive and forget. I've got plenty of faith in you Logan. I promise." She says this and then smiles. "The other package is just a few tee shirts in random colors cause I know you often rip your clothes when fighting or going out being all manly in the woods. There might be a couple new flannels in there too." She offers.
Wolverine has posed:
"Now yer just butterin' me up. What else ya shootin' for? Or did ya think ya were in that much trouble?" Logan's curious about this one as he watches her. "Is there a third or fourth gift? 'Cause I think yer actin' like people in comedies. They ain't sure how many gifts to get, so they determine the amount at osme point, but they've gouth half of a store isle just to give em' a window. I'm expectin' half of a store iaisle at this rate," LKogan comments idly as he is looking at her curiously.
Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughs and shakes her head. "The cigars were the big thing. The shirts were really just because I noticed your supply was getting a bit low..." She offers this much and then moves to give him a kiss. "But if you really wanna be buttered up... we can always have make up sex..." A gleam in her eyes as she says this and she even - perhaps - moves around to the side of the bed as if to get her point across.
