Fancy Seeing You Here
Date of Scene: 28 February 2024
Location: RockWallz Gym - Manhattan
Synopsis: Peter runs into Bobbi at the gym! They haven't skipped a beat
Cast of Characters: Mockingbird, Spider-Man

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi Morse usually works out at the Triskelion, but there are times when a girl needs a change of scenery. RockWallz is one of her favorites, mostly because of the climbing wall.

Right now, Bobbi is about two stories up the wall in a free climb. She's following one of the more difficult hand-hold courses, and her harness is tied into the automatic belay system. The blonde wears black yoga pants, climbing shoes, a sports bra and of course the harness about her hips. She dips fingers into the chalk bag at the small of her back, dusting off the extra on her thigh as she plans her next move. It's going to be a stretch.
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter almost /never/ works out.

But he has to keep up appearances. Nobody wants to look at a guy like Parker, a known nerd, and suspect where he got all that packed muscle from. So, Peter is going to the gym. He can lift everything in here /extremely/ easily, but he's going to put on a good show so some of the regulars here can get off his back and he can post a couple of selfies working out.

Oh God, is Peter going into social media? That's a /terrible/ idea.

Or an amazing one, considering the man is wearing black sweatpants, a tanktop that shows off said muscle, and some simple running shoes. His hair is a mop of a brunette mess on his head, his eyes suddenly finding Mockingbird as Bobbi commits to doing some hard work.

A smirk comes across his face.

"Yeah girl! Get on with your bad self." He flirts shamelessly with Bobbi. Now to most, this would just be irritating catcalling. But this is kinda their thing.
Mockingbird has posed:
Given their respective positions in this conversation, Peter arguably has the better view. "Hey, Parker." she calls back down. In this gym she isn't Mockingbird and he isn't Spider-Man (with or without the hyphen).

"You better not be looking at my ass." Of course the way she says it very strongly implies the opposite.

She sinks into her current position a little, then lunges up and over to try for the next hand-hold. She catches it, and for a moment the blonde dangles precariously. The belay system whines as it catches up the slack, and then Bobbi finds holds for her other hand and one foot. Only then does she look down and flash him a grin.

"I'll be right down." And it's no accident that she punctuates with a double cheek-flex.
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter /really does/ have the better view at the moment. Peter has his bag looped over his shoulder, and even as she calls back to him, Bobbi can /feel/ the weight of eyes on her most likely. "Too late!" Peter smirks, his arms crossing over his chest as that ASS seems to just be staring right back at him.

All the same, he's impressed with how she's performing her gymnastics. Mockingbird has always been insanely agile, always been the kind of person who can just /do it/ and make it look easy. Peter can do it because he's hit his face a thousand times in order to do so. Bobbi just /that/ good.

Course she's flexing her cheeks now and Peter seems to be in an absolute daze.

"I'll wait!" He calls back up, smirking a little bit as he leans against one of the columns.
Mockingbird has posed:
Having made that stretch, Bobbi takes the next couple of hand-holds fairly easily. Acrobatics is a forte of hers, of course. Not nearly as much as his, but she lacks his advantages as well.

The final part of this course has her moving laterally for about 10 feet along an arch, using just hand holds. Bobbi dangles and works her way methodically along. "You ready to catch me if I fall?" she calls down, without looking. Expecting that of anyone else would be suicide, but Bobbi knows that Peter is more than capable of catching her from even greater heights.

She doesn't fall, however, finally making it across the arch. A couple more vertical, then she rings the bell at the top. Giving the rope a shake, the motor whines as she rappels down to the mat.
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter still just whistles. Even if Peter is better at acrobatics, it's because he's genetically more capable. He has the lightweight capability of a spider, proportionate to a human, anyway. But all the same, he just watches her go through the course, his hands at his sides as he reaches to lift the strap of his bag up and over his head so he can rest it on the ground. If she falls?

Well, she's not gonna fall. But if she does? Spider-Man has made more dangerous catches. "Always!" Peter calls right back up to her with the biggest smile on his face as he watches her continue her work. Finally, she hits the bell at the top!

"Wooo! Yeah girl!"

Peter claps and cheers for Bobbi, a little musical laugh touching his features as he watches her rappel down to the mat. "Look at you trying to get me nervous, make me think you're gonna fall." He snickers. "How've you been, Bobbi?"
Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi pushes off lightly with her feet as the line unreels with her descent. She beams when both feet touch at last, stepping right up to give him a bold, sweaty hug. "Sweaty." she replies with a grin, and now he is sweaty too.

Looking down, she unties the complex knot on the harness before unbuckling it to wiggle out.

The grin is broad, the look is knowing. Yeah, they've both done WAY more dangerous things than this. "I appreciate the support, though. How've you been, Peter? Still keeping in shape?"

She looks him over slowly. Yeah, Bobbi knows all about his genetics. She's even studied his cells and done some blood work, being the resident biochemist at SHIELD.

Picking up her gear, she steps over to gym bag and picks up a towel and a water bottle.
Spider-Man has posed:
You know those things that Peter doesn't really think about?

Yeah, this is one of them.

Bobbi walks right up to Peter and offers him a hug and honestly? He's more than happy to open his arms wide and give her a hug right back! He nearly picks her up off of the ground, a little laugh leaving his lips like it was the music of life. Though after a moment, Peter releases her and he looks at himself.

"Ugh, gross!" Peter chuckles, shivering and making a whole show of it. Though he smirks at Mockingbird as she wiggles out of her harness. What? She's wiggling. It's *nice*. Though when asked how he's been? Peter shrugs.

"Eh, Parker luck keeps me on my toes." His NOTORIOUSLY bad luck. "But I mean, work is good and I'm doing alright and good. Trying to stay in shape, you know. Thinking some extra muscle might help me get into this whole social media thing." He smirks at Mockingbird, watching her as she steps over to her gym bag.
Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi bends low and takes her time stuffing the harness into her gym bag. Then the climbing shoes come off one at a time. Yeah, she knows she's working it, and she glances over to make sure he's watching.

She stands bolt upright when he mentions social media, however, and Bobbi wrinkles her nose at that. "Seriously? Social media is a cesspool." she quips back.

Picking up her stuff, Bobbi wiggles her bare toes. "Listen, Parker. I'm gonna shower, but then you wanna grab a coffee or something? I drove over if you need a lift."
Spider-Man has posed:
Peter is /absolutely/ watching.

She bends over and works it, his eyes firmly on the curves and edges of her figure. She's VERY much so in shape and Peter looks like an absolute idiot while he stares at her. He's not hiding that he's staring either. In fact, when she glances over to make sure he's watching? He actually meets her eyes. His gaze a steady thing. Calm.

It's not hard to think about what he's thinking about.

"Ugh, I know right? But I'm thinking it might help overturn guys like Jameson, who just want to give me a bad name." Peter chuckles grimly. Though, he smirks at her. "Want company?" For the shower.

Though thankfully, she instead asks if he would like to grab coffee with her. "Sure. I'll ride with you too."
