Location: Liberty Island, New York City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Molly Millions, Solaire

Molly Millions has posed:
Liberty Island. The Iron Lady welcoming the poor and weary to the shores. Closed still from the night before, but truthfully that's part of why Molly likes it. Getting up the statue in the dark is one of those things that the cyborg does simply for the practice, to help the meat parts of her stay in shape. And the view from the rigid ripples of Liberty's hair at least contains enough lights from the restless city below that it almost reminds her of home.

Dawn's not far off now; the pale wash of the steel sky from light pollution being competed with by the sun lurking just over the horizon, but still too dark for the eyes of most. Especially given that most are not high enough off the ground to see the smudge of black and silver that is a lounging cyborg half dozing a hundred or so meters from the ground below.

Solaire has posed:
Flying at the skyline and refreshed from his promised missive, a glowing mote of starlight drifts near the city off the shore. The Iron Lady's torch seemed like a fitting welcome-back locale for Solaire to visit. The light moves quickly in the dark of before-dawn before slowing, dropping and landing atop of the blazing torch. The released light from Solaire brightens up a great deal and sends shimmers of heat for those nearby. He's making the torch shine, a beacon for his return while he stares down at the city away and below.

Molly Millions has posed:
And at first flush, Molly can only consider that she's overslept. Not that there's the flutter of eyes visible behind the silver lenses covering her eye sockets, but in the sudden jerk of the dark form on Liberty's head at the sensation of warmth. So first her head goes in the direction of the horizon as she splays her hands on the metal, and only slowly with puzzlement towards the torch, raising one to shield herself so she can at least squint in the direction of the radiance.
Calling out has the potential of drawing attention to the fact that he's not the only one up there at present, but still she draws up a leg to help keep herself on the precarious perch, calling out,"Dawn's not for another thirty-eight minutes... so unless you want to deal with the guards... you might want to tone it down a bit."

Solaire has posed:
The sound of another and the warning of guards has Solaire's radiance cut back significantly. The bloom of heat and light dissipates into the nightscape and only the light of his eyes remains present. Bright enough even so that his look towards the source of the sound and their up-and-down gesture are easy to read at a distance. Guards means quiet too, right? He isn't certain if he should speak up for the moment, and is contemplating how to get over to where the voice came from.

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly blinks away the corona of the effect, head tilted as she listens. The flare, to judge from the movement of the guards below, was just assumed to be reflection, in the willful way humans have of writing off something unexplained. She eyes the distance between the two spots with a slight shake of her head, rolling up onto her feet and padding carefully towards the spikes and thus, the row of windows below. Calculation is consideration, and there's a pause before the lean woman in black singlet and pants runs up one of the spikes and leaps from the crown to the arm below the torch with an inhuman degree of speed.
She's slower about the rest of the ascent, but eventually a pale hand clamps onto the edge of the railing and she slowly pulls herself up onto the torch's small balcony with a huff of expelled energy, offering out a now grimy hand with the word,"Molly." in lieu of a proper greeting.

Solaire has posed:
Solaire slowly skids himself down from the top of the flame down to the balcony with Molly and provides a nod of his head. "Manker Yrael, or, Solaire." is his return greeting. "It is a good daybreak to return to the world, no? Though perhaps any daybreak is good to return on."

Molly Millions has posed:
Molly isn't offended that her hand isn't taken, nor does she make a move to rise from being seated on the balcony for a few long moments so she can catch her breath. She wipes her hand off on her pants and leans back to properly get a look at him,"Manker, huh?" seems to be the one she picks to go with,"...Return to the world. So you're an alien, then? Are you?" she asks, dragging one leg up in order to help push herself to her feet before the guards might notice the black smudge of her lean form against Liberty's green. Her bare arms, fishbelly pale, are laced with tattoos like circuitry that appear black at first glance. Silver lenses sealed over her sockets. Ordinary clothing. Not the sort of person to largely even be noticeable on the street.

Solaire has posed:
Solaire nods. "I made a small trip out so I could vent myself. I fear that the.. news media may make a cover of it soon, some people were talking of the subject when I landed." he explains. Still in his dark suit he isn't too hard to spy out should anyone peer. His eyes are like stars being fed light from tiny webs on the canvas of darkness. His skin also exhibits a faint shine to it, light from beneath making it hard to miss his exposed features. "I thought being on the torch and looking like a flame would be a fun exercize, but. It seems that people are protective of their landmarks?"

Molly Millions has posed:
"Vent... yourself?" Molly finds that amusing, tilting her head to one side,"No idea what that means... but I'll believe you. This place is plenty full of weird." with her lenses, Molly is capable of seeing in the dark, but the extra luminescence is picked up from,"'s why they have the torch coated in gold, actually." she points upwards,"So that during the day it looks like it's on fire... but yeh. They get a little nervy about people being up here when the island's closed." there's a brief smirk from her,"You actually... are glowing, aren't you? It's not just my eyes?"

Solaire has posed:
Solaire nods. "One does not contain all the function and power of a star and not build up excess matter. After containing so much I start to run out of space and need to vent it out. Much to the distaste of the SHIELD group. I've been allowed to stay as long as I don't make emissions on the surface, so I must vent myself outside of the planet's sky.. I think it was called atmosphere?" his head tilting. Then he nods. "I do glow, a side effect of containing starstuff. When the concentrations are higher my veins are visible through my skin."

Molly Millions has posed:
There's a laugh from Molly, not one of disbelief, but one that can't quite... contain, her amusement,"That's a new one on me." she offers,"By comparison I'm completely normal. So... you... visiting? Refugee here? We should probably move before the sun really comes up... you might be able to hide in the glow but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't work for me." she casts an eye over the railing, and then back,"So if SHIELD knows you're here. I'm guessing it's at least not your first visit? Which is good... because I'm a horrible tourguide, Manker."

Solaire has posed:
Solaire shrugs. "Well. Not visiting much of my own volition. My world was destroyed and I spent months adrift. Your star likes to boast of its accomplishment in harbouring life, and so I made my way here. It was a couple months ago that I first landed, SHIELD was quick to greet me and do some mild investigation." more of his story revealed. "I was left to my own devices and have simply been exploring." his eyes scanning for the horizon. "Where to go, then?"

Molly Millions has posed:
"Does it?" Molly's attention remains on him, though her eyes are concealed and reflect back only her surrounds, the way her lips are parted makes no secret of her slightly boggled fascination,"I'm... sorry about the loss of your planet?" it sounds thoroughly inadequate, even to her ears, but still,"I suppose that depends. Well, it's almost breakfast time. D'you eat? Or.. well, I suppose glowing makes that difficult. Let's start with the basics." she straightens herself up properly, keeping one hand on the railing to steady herself,"Do you eat? And if so, do you have things that you can't eat? Human... things.. that is?"

Solaire has posed:
Solaire nods. "Indeed, always shining its pride and proclaiming to be one of the most significant stars. It gets a little annoying to see all the time. On occasion we get a good talk going but it usually revolves back to the people here." a warm smile is given to Molly, "I do and can eat. Anything that I can melt down to drink or swallow whole, eventually it all gets churned up into more starstuff. I do not have to, but a leftover of my prior state means I do become hungry and thirsty. Increasingly even if they are left untended, a distraction and suffrage even if not damaging."

Molly Millions has posed:
"Sounds obnoxious to me." Molly gives a lopsided kind of smirk,"Can't say I've been further than low orbit, though. But, well, I'm human." mostly. Kind-of,"Excellent." is offered regarding food consumption.

"Don't know how you got up here? Sadly the only way I get up and down is by climbing... but if you see that dot out there on the water?" a small dinghy 'borrowed' and left to bob far enough out not to catch the attention of the authorities,"I can... meet you there in about twenty? Unless you have a better option? I suppose unless we want to hike over to Mutant Town that you're going to have to put up with my cooking skills... or... lack thereof. If that's alright?"

Solaire has posed:
Solaire seems puzzled. "That word is new to me. Nox I believe is something bad or dark, but." he shakes his head. "I can fly, I could possibly escort you as well. Maintaining my heat level for both of us may be difficult but perhaps I could manage something. A long jump and perhaps skid over the water seems to be the best for that." thinking aloud as his eyes turn to measure the distance from statue to the shore.

Molly Millions has posed:
"Extremely unpleasant." Molly offers with a dip of her head before her brow arches,"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you mean... the brighter you glow, the better you fly? But you produce more... heat?" it's not that she doesn't respect the distance to the ground, far from it. It's a loooong way down for her given the way she wets her lips,"What are we talking, here? In terms of... human tolerances? I mean... I would probably survive? But it wouldn't be pretty."

Solaire has posed:
Solaire nods, "Perhaps. I am uncertain how tolerant your kind is to my radiance. But, no. I mean directed heat emissions that either excites the air in my path or in a way to produce favourable current below to ride upon. It is enough to boil the waters on contact and keep me afloat if need be, hence my suggestion of skid. Perhaps the water vessel is the most safe option." he offers apologetically.

Molly Millions has posed:
"Well, my displays aren't shrieking that you're causing significant damage to me presently. I have no experience with flight of that kind, though I've worked in low-gravity environments before. Though maybe, yeh, we should aim to collect the boat... if you can get us to the ground without me winding up breaking every bone in my body?" there's a vague smirk from her,"Just... let me know what I need to do, yeh? Unless you generate enough radiation or electromagnetic interference to fry my systems, I'm a little more resilient than most and will... repair."

Solaire has posed:
Solaire shakes his head. "Part of why I am not allowed to vent on the surface, SHIELD has determined my emissions to be.. high in gamma radiation and dangerous. So I have been limited to generating heat fields and filtering my light. This does mean I need to vent more frequently however." he explains. "I could make a strong enough pocket, perhaps, to soften the fall to tolerable limits."

Molly Millions has posed:
"I have pico machines in my blood and they'll warn me if I take too much damage from your presence, at least." Molly offers with a faint smirk, considering his words silently,"Rendevous with me at the boat in twenty... recharge or... whatever... I'll climb I reckon. Probably safer that way." there's a slight nod of her head,"No need for you to... overwork yourself... when I've got some good limbs, yeh? Besides... swim first thing in the morning is supposed to be good for you." she shifts, with the intention of slithering out between the supports of the railing and shimmy herself downward again, pausing only to hear his assent or declination.

Solaire has posed:
There's no real word given from Solaire. As Molly makes her point to rendezvous he's already casually hopped off the edge and started falling down like a stone. His landing seems okay, and from above it's hard to see his glow- hair and all.
