Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Lazarlite, Deadlights

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle's scan picks up someone running away taking something roughly the size of one of the energy weapons. He takes off after the person, drawing on his stored energy to speed him up some, cutting in front of the runner in a blue of blue and saying, "Going somewhere?"

Deadlights has posed:
The orange X's behind the thick black glass of the goggles on Deadlight's face brighten. One hand holds the wrapped weapon, while the other hand rises to Lytle's face.

With the middle finger up, and the others curled back down.

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle tries to sound confident and capable, no reason this guy needs to know he is just a teenager with a few tricks, "Open the bag and show me what is in it, if it is not contraband you can leave with it...otherwise I will have ti stop you and take you to the police waiting inside the bank." He is running low on stored power, but he still has a few normal tricks outside of his ability to boost his metabolism.

Deadlights has posed:
Deadlights wastes no further time and no further breath. Keeping silent is a way of life.

She brings her hand back to the bag clutched to her chest, holding it with both hands. Her head cants down to as if to look at the bag, thinking about it--

-- And then she drops down into a low foot sweep to try to knock Lytle off his feet.

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle absorbs kinetic energy, along with most other energies...if it impacts him directly. Deadlights sweep simply stops when it his him. It is not like she hit a wall, more like impacing an air bag. It does not hurt, it simply halts without any impact felt. Lytle shakes his head, "I guess we do this the hard way." He snaps the edge of his cape forward like a whip, striking at the arm holding the bag, seeking to force the woman to drop it.

Deadlights has posed:
Well that didn't work. She doesn't hold herself at fault for this; she doesn't know this enemy. Everything will be trial and error. The whip at her arm does nothing; it hits metal plating and heavy padding. Not enough to sting or make her drop it. She jerks her leg back, putting both feet on the ground, and using one hand, backflips up to a stand to gain distance from Lytle.

"What do you think you're doing?!" she demands aloud. "Under what authority are you acting?!"

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle replies, "United states penal code, anyone has the right to make a citizen's arrest of persons who are commiting misdomenors or low level felonies. You are fleeing the scene of a crime with evidence, that counts."

Deadlights has posed:
"You have no proof I am committing a crime, but seeing as how you are not a legally authorized officer of the law, I can sue you for assault, harassment, battery... the list goes on," Deadlights offers calmly. "Further more you have no idea who I am or what I'm doing. You don't know if I'm a plain clothes operative or a government operative. You didn't ask. You just charged in and attacked. kid."

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle points out, "You are in error, you attacked me first, all I did was ask you to stop and show me what was in the bag when you are running away from a crime scene. I counterattacked after you attacked me, which is perfectly legal."

Deadlights has posed:
"It's eleven AM. Why aren't you in school? Should I call a truancy officer?" Deadlights asks. "I'm 'fleeing a crime scene' because they are using weapons that do this --" She gestures towards the massive hole in the street which is fillng with water and leaking gas. "Which means we're presently in danger, and I have no idea if you're one of the people that just started shooting at me with those beams, pretending to be an officer of the law."

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle gestures around, "In case you failed to note, everyone who started fleeing the scene when the shooting began is long gone, and the shooting is over...also it is saturday, no school. I have not pretended to be an officer of the law...and you are wearting armor."

Deadlights has posed:
"Have you considered that wearing armor is probably a good indicator that I'm an operative? Get out of my way before the gas catches fire," Deadlights demands, getting irritated.

Lazarlite has posed:
Lytle says, "There is not any gas here, I did a refractivity scan on the air for it before I stopped you. Now, if you were an operative you would have shown me your ID by now. I am perfectly willing to let you go, if you simply show me that you are not carrying evidence being illegally removed from the scene of the crime." Of course, if she had been a bit smarter, this girl would have claimed to be a vigilante and to be taking the weapon back to her lair for analysis, Lytle knows that might have fooled him if it was done earlier.
