Cast of Characters: Balder Odinson, Rogue

Balder Odinson has posed:
What is that horrible sound? It's been going on for 10-15 minutes or so. Outside the sanctum, holding the worlds most battered boom box, won in a drinking game, is a tipsy, armed and armored man, holding said boombox over his head.
It's the wrong song. It's a polka on loop. Balder's helmet is on his sword hilt. A light mist is starting to soak his head and the cloak. People are staring, but giving the obviously crazy man a wiiiiiide berth.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was told about the ruckuss outside by Wong, Doctor Strange's assistant and friend. He even went with Marie to the front door and pointed out it at the man standin gon the side street aiming the boom box up at the window that went into a closet inside the sanctum on it's second floor.

"Whats he doin'?" Rogue said to Wong.

"Imitating old stupid love movie." Wong told her. It was a movie well older than Anna-Marie was, so she wasn't familar with it at all.

Rogue did smile though, cause it was odd and odd was amusing to her. Rogue grabbed her hoodie and slipped it on over her shoulders, then went outside and walked toward him with her gloved hands inside of her hoodie's pockets.

"Hey." She said to him. "You're gonna get the cops called on ya." She stopped walking a few steps away from him, her brown/whie hair was blowing gently in the outdoor winds.

Balder Odinson has posed:
"Aye? Well then, I suppose they will learn that they do not mess with the Prince of Asgard when matters of the heart are involved." Balder replies, his scowl making the world seem a little darker. he is either really good at lining u with coincidences, or the theological ramifications are maybe disturbing.
He casts his eyes downwards. "I hurt thee yesterday. For that I am sorry. I do not like that thou art wearing Stephen's cloak. tis unseemly if we are courting. I do not like that thou didst not tell me that thine name was Ana. Tis a beautiful name, used amongst my people."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just stared at him while he talked, he was a lot taller than she was, so she had to look up at him and since the sun was setting it was sending bright yellow rays through some of the buildings which made her eyelids have to partially squint while she looked at him. Her right hand came up and she pulled her white bangs out of her face from the winds.

"Ya up'n took off before I could tell ya anythin'." She said back at him. "And its not like I have any idea what 'courting' means, neithe'ah." She smirked at the man then. She glanced back at the Sanctum. "Doctor Strange's cloak is different from the one you gave me, his is... alive... its got a personality and a mind of its own, its a magic cloak. Its helped me a few times, t'stay outta dange'ah."

She poked his shin with her booted foot tip. "Anna's just one'a my names, I got several. I'd planned on tellin' ya all'a them, if you'd wanted t'know. Ain't spent a -whole- lotta time togethe'ah, ya big goof." She smirked at him then.

Balder Odinson has posed:
It gets easier to see as it gets progressively a little darker as she does the unthinkable-- she speaks rationally and without any pretense. Facts and logic?! The gall.

The Asgardian Prince listens to the lady speak. His scowl fades into a frown, which deepens into a genuinely sad face. "I hath wronged thee." Slowly the polka-playing boombox slides down. He tries to shut it off. Wrong button. Wrong button. Wrong button. Wrong button. Wrong button. He just sort of holds it out to her, slumping even more. "I am sorry." He says quietly.

"Also, please turn this thing off before I doth pitch it into the ocean, my lady?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue folded her arms over her stomach and she watched him struggle with the boom box which just made her smile at him and slowly she shook her head when he offered it to her. She reached out her hands then and accepted it, scanned the old piece of technology over and then shut it off and dialed the volume down to a 5 for the next time it is ever turned back on.

"Ya didn't 'wrong' me." She said back at him, offering his boom box back to him then. "You're not from around here, our customs and ways are gonna be different from what you're used too. I don't fault ya for it... I even wanted t'run afte'ah ya and try to explain, its just..." Rogue sighed then and glanced toward the Sanctum for a second before looking back to him.

"I've been through a lot lately, its hard for me t'work up the nerve to chase afte'ah people right now. Ya seemed like ya wanted t'be alone, and I know that feelin'... Bette'ah than most."

Balder Odinson has posed:
The tall Asgardian prince regards the little lady for a long moment. His left hand rises up to adjust her hood, pulling it out a little more to shield her face. It is maybe the most genuine thing he has done, and he has ever been genuine. "Thou wilt catch cold." He murmurs, in a quiet, caring voice.

She can see the wheels turning in that big head of his. He's not dumb. Far from it. He's just not good with feelings or human technology. He softly exhales. "I never wish to be alone." Balder says finally. He shows shame. 'I am supposed to be stoic. I am supposed to face down death steadfastly. But I know that when I die, I doom the world. I am going to die, and the results will be a disaster. I want to live a god life. A life worthy of celebrating. I have to be brave, because they call me brave. Fact of the matter is, I am here because here, no one knows me. I might make mine own name. My own path. Tis a more dangerous world than where I come from. I... am very tired of being the one left behind. I am tired of being the responsible one to sit on my father's throne whilst he rests. One brother craves power too much. Another will not let this world defend itself." He actually criticized Thor. He looks like he feels guilty.
"Thou art beautiful, and good, and kind, and gentle. THou art a warrior maiden. I am very fond of thee. Thou art the sort of woman that I not only want, but that I should want. I love thee for what thou art. I wilt not say I am in love with thee, but I wilt admit my fondness for thee is much more than like. I remember the taste of thine lips on mine." His cheeks burn crimson.
'What task must I do to prove I am sorry, and to gain thine forgiveness. If tis in my power, Balder will prove to Ana that he is so very worry, and that he is worthy of her forgiveness. Name thine price, shield-maiden of New York."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue listened to the Asgardian pour his heart out to her and it made her smile, not overly huge, just smile at him with a warmth and kindness. She reached out to touch his arm then with her right hand on his left elbow. "You're sweet as can be too, Balde'ah Odinson." She smiled again.

"You're tellin' me all these sweet little things about myself, and I'm more than happy t'eat'em all up. I just..." She drew in a breath and let it out sharply. "The man I was gonna marry two months ago, died in my arms, at our wedding. I still... have dreams of him dying while I held him there in my lap, his blood all ove'ah my dress." Rogue just simply shook her head back and forth softly.

"Its hard for me to look at anothe'ah person the same as I was lookin' at him, so soon. Even if you are pretty damn easy on the eyes and sweet as can be. You tempt me, with your sillyness and your sweetness, and these..." She felt his bicep a little. "Manly manly arms..."

Balder Odinson has posed:
"I will not pressure thee into my bed." Balder pauses. "Though I o not exactly have one." he admits. "Would have to take thee to Asgard. My mother would certainly start pressuring thee for grandchildren and make comments about the relative narrowness of thine hips and who thou wilt birth a 20 pound Asgardian child," And Balder wonders why he is alone?
He attempts, very gently, after painting that rosy picture to lift her up. He does not stop and think, and he kisses her unless she does not allow. Thankfully for him, it is a brief touch.
He grew up ignorant of his titles and his parentage. They said he was a foundling. he was heroic. Shy. Thor and Loki taught him to hunt, be a hero, and to wench. He has bedded his share of maidens, but Balder was always looking for something other than a tumble. He spent the night alone after they told him why they cast the spell on him they did. He's scared every day for what will happen when he died, but he refuses to hide in a hole. He's mad he has to be responsible. He's mad he has to die. He's mad that no one would ever understand that, as he he has to be stoic and accepting.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue would listen to his words and it'd make her smirk up at him. "Sounds like a right hoot." She replied then when he came to try to embrace her and kiss her, she seemed willing at first but then she remembered the lack of bracelet and she reached up to put her gloved hand in the way right before he'd touch his lips to hers and she'd open her eyes.

"If ya do that, right now, I'm gonna be standin' onve'ah your comatose body... all talkin' like you do." She said with a playful grin. Rogue would then bite her lowerlip and she'd breath softly.

"I'm told I'd kill babies inside'a me too, Balde'ah." She said softly then. "I'm the absolute worst person you could eve'ah want to be your children's mothe'ah. They'd die inside'a me before they eve'ah saw the light of a day. Here, or in Asgard."

Balder Odinson has posed:
With a single brow tilted, Balder scoffs, "Rogue. My mother is the goddess of making babies happen." He says, a little put out he's not getting any sugar. Like miffed. "If my mother can make is so nothing in Asgard can harm me other than mistletoe, and yet make it so I am simply an Asgardian on Earth, methinks tis a triviality for her to ensorcell thine womb so that you might bear children. Certainly, she might limit it so that though might not bear others children, for magic is costly, and certainly it would likely be contigent on other things." He just shrugs. "But if thou wishest children.... I am certain that can be arranged." He says it quietly. "It is normal for the maiden to be kissing the prince at this point." he prompts. He doesn't mind a little coma. her kisses are worth it.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue jsut listened to him and she released a light laugh and shook her head side to side. "I'm... not ready for a life like that, Balde'ah." She told the attractive Asgardian. "I'm only eighteen, nineteen in a handful'a months. I have trouble takin' care'a myself, let alone twenty pound babies." She flashed him a brief grin until he told her about the kiss. "You don't unde'ahstand that me takin' in someone else's memories, their personality, their soul... Its hard on me. Its not somethin' I enjoy doin'. I only do it if its necessary, t'help my friends or if I'm in serious trouble."

Rogue just gently shook her head. "I like you, Balde'ah. I really do, but you want things I don't think I can give right now in my life." Rogue was a teenager, who didn't know where she was in life. She didn't know anything about Asgard, the idea of going to some foreign... planet? To be magicked up to have babies for a man she'd only known for a handful of moments? Wasn't sitting right with her.

Balder Odinson has posed:
"Hel's bells woman, not now!' Balder exclaims. He stares at her. "Nay! I say thee nay. Not yet!" Balder almost drops her he is so shocked. "Nay Ana. I cannot say nay fast enough. Not yet. I am not taking thee to asgard to marry thee!" It might be vaguely insulting at this point. he continues on. His laughter is nervous and a little too loud. "No> No. Nooooo." He says. 'Perhaps some day. If tis what thou wishest. I just got out of Asgard. Ha. I am not going back just yet to attempt to take Midgard girl as a wife. Ha. I say thee nay once more, lovely Ana. More that the future hath a way of taking care of itself. Worry not. If Balder be the man that you doth settle down with, well, Balder hath ways to give thee the life thou wishest."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughed softly and she reached to be set back down on the ground and put her gloved hands onto his forearms and then down to his wrists and his hands. "Gotcha." She said up at him. "More 'lost in translation' stuff, I guess." She smirked up at the Asgard man and released a light sigh. "Maybe someday. I don't know." Rogue smiled at him and she glanced down at the boom box. "We need t'get you a cell phone though, so ya... so ya don't eve'ah do this approach again." This made her smile a bit larger up at him.

Balder Odinson has posed:
'Thou didst not approve of the tactics from Sayeth Anything? Lloyd Dobbler doth not appeal to thee/" he pauses. "Good. Twas a bit on the pathetic side for balder's tastes. A man should take what he wants, should it be moral to do so, regardless of the consequences. A lady of value is no prize no be won though. She must have fire. She must say no and mean it, and say perhaps when she can be persuaded to change her mind." Balder apparently holds women in very high regard.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue laughed softly and she shook her head side to side. "That movie is like a hundred years old, Miste'ah." She said up to the tall large man. "I've neve'ah even seen it before. But I'm sure its amazing." Rogue glanced around and then looked back at him. "How about this... How about you wait out here while I go grab a few things, then we walk down t'the phone store and we get you something t'call me on, and then we practice with it for a bit until ya get the hang'a it?" She said, grinning now at him.

Balder Odinson has posed:
He looks dubious. He makes a slight face. "An inexpensive one. Unless Stephen is buying." he concedes. Oh look, Balder can be petty! His concession is begrudging.
