Date of Scene: 11 May 2017

Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Sibilance, Cheshire

Sibilance has posed:
It's the back alley of a string of stores, where people usually come in from the back to start their shifts or load boxes into a store room. A man in an apron steps out in the middle of the night, a cigarette hanging from his lips, and turns to pick up some boxes when he spots someone staring at him.

He freezes when he spots the slit pupils in a pair of shimmering gold eyes. The eyes seem to entrance him, and a soft, voice speaks up from the seeming homeless woman, who has wrapped her tail about her waist and hidden it under her coat so it's not easily seen. "I need one of the bottles from these boxes," she speaks in a sweet tone. "It wouldn't be too much trouble if you just gave me one of them... Just the one. Open the box and hand the bottle to me." She points to the box.

The man pulls a box cutter from his pocket, opens the box and retrieves a bottle of something that she stuffs into her coat. Then she says, "You were just helping a homeless girl get something she needed for a project. Okay?" And he nods dumbly at her.

Cheshire has posed:
On a nearby Rooftop, A darkhaired woman wearing a white cheshire cat mask gazes down the back alleyway. The contract she took called for the death of a rather dimwitted man who annoyed the wrong people. It didn't take much to find him. It doesn't take her much to find anyone.

As she sits on her perch she watches the display of power. Behind her mask, she snickers and then smiles full on, almost as wide as the mask. The man just went for it hook line and sinker. No doubt this was the guy.

She opts to play things smart. A Syringe is drawn and the needle is pressed into a candy bar. The contents of the syringe are pressed into the candy. The fluid undetectable even by those with enhanced senses. Now all that was left was to trick the guy. Easy. With expert markmanship she tosses the candybar and pegs the guy in the back of the head. Ducking down, she watches, hoping he takes the bait.

Sibilance has posed:
Thwack.

A couple of things happen here that will immediately shatter Cheshire's perception of what is going on. First, the man barely seems to react to the candy bar striking him in the head. He glances away from Sibilance just for a second, and then looks toward her again while rubbing the back of her head.

Second, Sibil's head swivels in a sudden and precise way the moment the candy bar even reached her vision. She stares straight up to where Cheshire is perched... and her tail uncoils from her waist, and the rattle on the end begins to hiss its little warning sound. She leers up in that direction silently, beginning to tense up, slowly backpedaling away.

This snake creature just mind controlled the store owner and now Cheshire spooked it. To call the situation tense would be an understatement.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire looks down and notes that her plan just got messed up. Great. Just what she needs. A little heroic Rattlesnake trying to save the day. She quickly drops down to the ground. Always have a back up plan. "We will speak in a minute Snake. You've already stolen today, certainly there is no harm in you turning a blind eye to this."

With no warning a sai goes flying. Cheshire is fast. Very fast. Olympian Level fast. The sai goes sailing towards the man. She keeps an eye on the Snake, making sure she doesn't do anything crazy again.

Sibilance has posed:
If there is anything Sibil isn't, it's a hero. She doesn't seem to react to the words spoken to her, she just stares... and then she jerks back so fast that she could dodge a bullet at point blank when the sai is thrown, ending up behind cover in a loud clattering of debris as she ducks behind cover.

That was... dangerously quick, quicker than any human being would be. If she wanted to she could've stopped it. But she didn't.

The store owner drops, and begins to bleed out on the alley pavement.

Sibil leers from behind her hiding place, only her golden eyes and her frantic rattling tail notable. No outrage, no hate, just... fear.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire snickers behind the mask. She quietly thinks to herself, 'That's done. Not as planned. Too messy. I'm better then this.' She quickly walks over and pulls her sai out of the man. A quick wipe down on the mans own clothing and then its put away. 'Now then. Time to talk to the snake." She never takes off the mask.

Turning to face the snake girl, she snickers. "Good work. Brave girl. So, Whats your story. Also we should probably move." She snickers.

Sibilance has posed:
'We should probably move' is the only thing that gets Sibil out of her fear posturing. She then just... launches up into the air and climbs the side of the nearby building, and slips over the lip over the rooftop, disappearing from immediate sight. One might think she ran off, except she peers over the side of the building and down at Cheshire.

It's probably a good thing she doesn't seem to want a fight.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire quickly climbs the wall. Moments later she is on the roof as well with no worries about anything. Any security cameras had been taken care of earlier and the only sign that she might have been there was the poison that likely hadn't had a chance to flow through the man's body. If anyone notices that, she deserves to be caught.

"So what's your Story? Going to talk now or are you just going to remain silent. You have an interesting talent from what I could see."

Sibilance has posed:
"I'm not worth knowing anything about," Sibilance tells Cheshire, her voice tense because she doesn't really want to get into a fight with this apparent assassin, but doesn't want to reveal anything about who she actually is. "Just call me Sibilance. That's all that anyone should know." She makes a plaintive gesture with one of her hands.

Then she lowers her eyes and crouches there in place. She keeps Cheshire at least in her periphery, so that she can react if the assassin gets any idea about witnesses.

For a snake person she has such a gentle, almost mousy voice.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire laughs to herself behind her mask. "Everyone is worth knowing Something about. You could have stopped me from crossing off that fool down there but you didn't." She smiles again. Its unseen of course. That mask, ever smiling with that devious ear to ear grin.

"Well Sibilance, My name is Cheshire. Seeing as we are both in this together now, You don't need to worry about me crossing you off too. Beside, Police are on strike in Gotham. So, I am guessing you don't have a home?"

Sibilance has posed:
"Would it really have mattered if I tried to stop you? Even the insane have their reasons, usually, you would have just come back for him."

Sibilance shrugs at Cheshire, looking back up to the smiling mask. "If you tried to cross me off, you would not enjoy the experience," she states, matter-of-factly, "I am not a victim and you would not come away unscathed."

She looks at Cheshire gravely.

"We are not in anything together. I did not kill that man. You did."

She's standoffish when it's implied she somehow helped Cheshire.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire snickers behind her mask. She thinks to herself, 'I like this one. She's got a little spirit.' She speaks up finally. "If you'd have interfered, you'd be dead. Pure and simple. I don't know how good you are but I do know how good I am. I know your fast. I expect some venom to match that rattle."

She crosses her arms and shrugs. "Yes I did. He upset the wrong people so he was dealt with. The reason We are in this together is, you had it within your ability to stop me and you stood aside. That makes you an accomplice but, no cops around so not like anyone would enforce anything."

Sibilance has posed:
"It makes it a coincidence."

Sibilance is not convinced that she is in anything with Cheshire even after that. "Would any other person be obligated to stop a murderer if they aren't wearing a shield?" She cants her head to the side a little.

"Don't follow me," she commands, making brief eye contact. It's a brief attempt at mind control, and it may not work on Cheshire. Then the snake girl turns to leave.

Cheshire has posed:
Cheshire Laughs, "Its why I wear a mask." She snickers. "I was going to offer you something but, it seems you are a little too busy. And the word you are looking for is, Assassin. And I am one of the best in the world."

When she speaks to her, she feels it hit her head. Mind control. It does affect her. So she doesn't follow. Nope, She snickers a little. "Will see you again, Sibilance." Then she's gone. Just flat out gone.
