Cast of Characters: Green Lantern (Jordan), Aquaman

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan, Green Lantern, was working today. Mission Monitor Duty. It was a hard job, but someone has to do it. His eyes scan the consoles, and his mind wanders, trying not to get too bored. After all, he had just returned from the place called "Knowhere" and that was a challenge to try and "police" in and of itself.

Taking a sip of coffee, Hal admires the amount of know how to set up this system. "Man, she's a beauty...I can see Batman's hands all over this...now to get another sucker to take over for me..." Hal's voice trails off, as he takes another sip.

Aquaman has posed:
The computer would register a Zeta Beam transfer into the station, and all of the various security measures would show that the new arrival is allowed entry. Arthur spends a few moments walking about, exploring the station, as he has barely, if ever, been up here. He runs his calloused fingers over the cold steel and more advanced metals, and he furrows his brow in thought. Eventually, the door to the monitor room swishes open, and in strides a face Hal may or may not be very familiar with.

Other then is 6'2", heavily muscled form, Arthur Curry looks like a normal guy. Jeans, boots, and a blue and black flannel over a faded Smashing Pumpkins shirt. He has a few hemp and beaded bracelets, and a sharktooth necklace. His long blonde hair is pulled back into a ponytail, showing off his stubbled cheeks and goatee. The twenty-something looks like some random Millenial beach lover.

He glances about the large room with wide eyes. "This place is pretty insane," he states with a deep voice, his Mainer accent slight but there.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Noting the new arrival on the scanner, and tapping the approve button, GL waits to see who it is, and nods with a smile. When the door swishes open, Hal turns, and offers his hand to shake. "Arthur! It's good to see you. How have you been? Not seen you around?"

Hal nods and says, "Yeah, she is pretty insane. All the latest and the greatest that the boys over at Alpha Flight don't get to see." Hal chuckles.

"I hear they have some nice toys as well though. I bet Bats would love to get a guided tour of her ample engineering deck." Hal nods, and waves his hands in an all encompassing gesture. "I like what we have though. Great place to watch over Earth."

Aquaman has posed:
He moves slowly across the room until he is staring down at the spinning globe below. He leans on the glass a bit, resting his forehead against it. "I've been busy. The sea is deep, and filled with things that need doing. Trust me, part of me would rather be off doing anything else." He turns to look over at the Lantern. "Sorry I've been out of touch. Black Manta was causing some serious issues in the Indian Ocean." Arthur pauses. "...He's a terrorist who is constantly attempting to dethrone me. Average Tuesday for us, really." he shrugs and steps back from the glass.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Watching as Arthur crosses the room, Hal nods, and says, "I imagine it is pretty deep. I can understand that, big time. After all, the vastness of space - deep. Lots of things I should probably be doing as well. Huh." That was something that made him think. "Thanks Arthur. made me think."

Pausing, Hal nods, and says, "I'm Hal by the way. Hal Jordan, just in case you didn't get Bats' memo." That was sarcasm. Batman didn't send out a memo.

"Black Manta huh? Terrorists seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately." Shaking his head, Hal says, "Want some coffee? I have a fresh brewed pot over here, if you like." Hal holds up his half-empty mug.

Aquaman has posed:
The big man shrugs a bit and chuckles. He then makes his way over and offers his hand. His skin is tanned, and his palm and fingers calloused, like from a laborer. "Arthur Curry. Folks call me Aquaman, I guess. It's sticking."

He nods at the mention of Manta, and chuckles a bit. "Black Manta has had issues with me since I took the throne. It's...complicated. Isn't it always, though? And don't worry too much about needing to do things. You need -you- time, too. It's why I've been spending more time sneaking onto land in civilian clothes."

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Shaking the man's hand, Hal does so firmly, and then releases after a few seconds. "Well, Aquaman in public, Arthur in private. Same here, Green Lantern vis a vis Hal Jordan." Hal smiles and says, "Not been much going on Justice League wise anyway, so you haven't missed much. I think we all have a lot on our plates, individually."

Nodding in agreement, Hal says, "Yeah, it is always complicated. I hear ya." With a smile, and a flash of willpower, Hal drops his GL guise, into his blue jeans, dark blue collared shirt, and brown leather "bomber" jacket, with a pair of worn leather boots. "Sounds like a plan. Civvies it is."

Aquaman has posed:
Arthur gives a normal firm handshake, working hard not to crush bones and all. He is not quite as good as Superman at holding his strength back, but he's getting better and better at it. No smooshed hands here! "Right. I don't even need a mask in public because most folks either, A) don't care about Aquaman, or B) don't recognize me without the scaled armor." He grins softly at that and shrugs, not seeming to mind. He then nods when he is told he hasn't missed much. "Good."

He chuckles as the other man drops to normal clothing.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"Quite a grip there..." Hal notes, as he can tell the man holds back. Chuckling, Hal says, "Yeah, I only use my mask in Earthspace, honestly. Otherwise, what's the point? Sometimes I use it as instinct kicks in, but I'm not too possessive of my identity, not like some others on the team." Like Batman, Superman.

"Other than that, if you have any questions, or want to chat about anything, I'm hip to that game. All in all, it's good to have another heavy hitter on the team like you. Especially considering what little I know about the depths of the oceans out there."
