Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Sibilance, Zhao Lin

Sibilance has posed:
Sibil is standing in her Garden with a cup of tea in one of her hands, a small cloud of steam rising from the cup from the fresh heat of the liquid inside. She is dressed in a blouse and a pair of khaki shorts, a little old and worn, suggesting that this is what 'normal' looks like for a rattlesnake woman. She can dress like this only because of the warmth that constantly fills the greenhouse that serves as her home away from home.

She's holding a calling card in her other hand. She stares at it, and turns it over, and then turns it over again, and sips from the cup of tea. She looks frozen in thought the way someone would be when trying to make a difficult decision, complete with knitted brow and troubled frowning.

Zhao Lin has posed:
"I heard you wanted to see me." The voice comes from behind her, from Zhao Lin standing in the entrance to her garden. His tail sways slowly behind him, and he rumbles softly to Sibilance. He likely startled her, but he knew that would only be momentary once she saw it was him. He greets her from where he stands with a bow, before offering her a smile as he crosses the garden to embrace her for a moment. "What is so urgent that you actively sought me out?" he asks, hands on her shoulders now as he looks into the serpent-woman's eyes, as if seeking out the answer there. He was, it seemed, concerned for her to have done such a thing.

Sibilance has posed:
Sibil doesn't even startle because she could likely feel his mental pressure before he spoke, instead looking on Zhao with a smile as he bows. She holds her arms out at her sides in surprise when he approaches to embrace her, prompting her to lean into the weight of his body and close her eyes for a second, her nose pressed against him. But when they pulled back and he gave her the serious look, she held up a card. It was a green card with a black skull in the center, and Arabic writing as well as a phone number.

"The League of Assassins gave this to me," she tells Zhao, "I think they want me to talk to them... I think I overheard their leader talking to someone about..." She hesitates. "The destruction of Gotham," she says, looking back down at her hand. "They're enemies with SHIELD, and other organizations like that. W... what do I do?"
She looks up to Zhao's face, her face fearful and her eyes watering a little. "What should I do?"

Zhao Lin has posed:
Zhao Lin takes the card from Sibil, turning it over, examining it. "League of Assassins?" he asks, scowling a little. His tail gives a flick behind him, irritably perhaps. "Gotham... I have not made my way to Gotham yet," he says, "But if this League gave you a card to contact them, it sounds as though they are trying to recruit you." Zhao Lin rubs at his chin slowly, then pauses in that to take a drink from his canteen. He considers the card as he does so. "Anyone whose calling card contains an image of a skull is probably not anyone you desire to associate with," he concludes, after wiping his mouth on his sleeve, "You would be better off trying to avoid them." He holds out the card to her. "Unless you feel you cannot. Then... we may need to stick together until they lose interest in you."

Sibilance has posed:
Sibil takes the card and turns it over and over in her hand again, then finds a nearby table to set the card down on. She breathes a big sigh, sounding a little hissy because of how her mouth works, and promptly gives Zhao a hug with one arm, sipping tea with the other.

"I could be a very effective assassin," she admits, with a little sadness in her voice, "And they wouldn't judge me too much for my appearance." She smiles at him, but it's clear it appeals to some darker part of her, the part tired of hiding all the time. "I don't think they will pursue me actively. If they did, I believe they would've told me so."

Zhao Lin has posed:
Zhao Lin puts his arm around Sibil's waist, holding her in a relaxed grip when she hugs him. "If you were to call them, they would tell you to come alone. I would not be able to follow to help you leave if you were to... turn them down and it went against their wishes. You may be better off simply discarding the card in the river." His tail flicks again, and he rumbles low in his throat. "They may also have someone watching you, if they have such an interest in you already." He glances around a little, huffing a breath. "Is there anywhere you could go that would be safe, if you must run from here?"
