Cast of Characters: Hercules, Wonder Woman

Hercules has posed:
It's the afternoon, and it's not quite a full day for Hercules until he's stopped by security. He's got some melee weapons hanging off his back, shirtless, his usual Hercules attire. "Hey, hey, it's okay! I'm Hercules."

"Sir," one of the guards begins, holding her hands out. "We cannot allow you in here, er, 'Hercules'."

"Hey, come on, I'm here to offer cheap labors, //epic// labors. Giant lions, a dragon, whatever these Amazonians need!" he insists.

One of the guards gets on a walkie talkie, contacting someone inside. Then an intern immediately heads to Diana's office, looking a little awkward. "Um, Miss Prince, there's someone outside claiming to be Hercules, offering labors. He won't leave."

Wonder Woman has posed:
It doesn't take long for Diana to arrive to where Hercules is being held back by the security that patrols around her Embassy. She's wearing a white slim fit dress that goes down to her knees and cover hear arms down to her wrists, her dark hair is kept up in a bun on her head and she has some simple black heeled shoes on her feet. She's very tall, taller than most women at over 6'0" due to those heels she's wearing, likely 6 foot even without them. So she's nearing Herc's own height right now.

Diana walks slowly down the steps while she looks upon him and she cannot help but show a faint smile as to the man's appearance. Whether he is who he says he is or not...

"Well." Diana speaks, her voice laced with a thick Greek accent. "You certainly look the part."

Diana approaches him, showing that same little smile and her hands come together in front of her lap. "To what do I owe this unexpected visit... Hercules?" She asks, of course knowing the legend of the famed name, afterall they would be related.

Hercules has posed:
"GREEK!!!" Hercules suddenly shouts, spreading his thick arms in excitement, which causes security to back up suddenly. "See, here's the thing..." He laughs, like someone who's in trouble, rubbing the back of his head. "I lost a bunch of money gambling... well, that's not entirely accurate. I borrowed a friend's horse, long story, and then I bet that horse while playing blackjack, and now my friend wants his horse back and I have to pay the guy I lost in blackjack to."

"SO!" his hands clap together once. "I'm here to offer labors, in exchange for foreign government money. You should have all sorts of epic things that need slaying, artifacts that need finding!" Then, suddenly, he flexes, wagging his eyebrows. "Or dinner escorts, hired muscle, I do it all! I'm Hercules!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
One of the security guards listens to all of this from the muscley-armed man and looks back over to Diana. "You want me to call the NYPD?" The guard asks, his voice laced witha thick New York accent.

Diana, meanwhile, had dipped her chin and was staring at Hercules with her dark eyebrows lifted up above her eyes as she watched and listened.

Her chin raises again and she looks to the Guard to offer him a soft smile. "That is okay." She tells the embassy guard before she looks back to Hercules.

"I am afraid that we do not offer money for services to random people who stop by... But... with a physique as impressive as yours, I am sure that you can find some work somewhere around here. There are... Construction agencies who are always hiring for their very many projects throughout the city. There are... city workers who could always use more heavy hands to help them, such as Sanitation workers or perhaps a Parking Attendant job."

Its possible that Diana thinks that this man is not actually Hercules, but rather a crazy person?

Hercules has posed:
"I'm looking for an epic //quest//, not actual physical labor, //a// labor. Does thou doubt my capabilities? Must I speak in a more respectful tongue for thee?" Hercules wonders, rubbing his bearded chin, then he suddenly holds up a finger. "I know //exactly// what to do!"

He suddenly walks over to a car, crouches down, then grips the sides, and deadlifts it above his head. And, while holding it up, he offers her a dumb smile. "Look at this epic strength! Do you truly have no big, important work to offer? No alien threat, a beast to slay?!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
"Thats my car!" The security guard shouts at Hercules when he lofts the vehicle up into the air. The guard stutter steps, not sure what to do... the guy clearly out-classes him strength wise. He looks back to Diana then, for support on this.

Diana draws in a breath and she steps down to the side walk, places a hand on the shoulder of the guard beside her to reassure him without words and then walks to where the car is being held up so high.

"How about this." Diana speaks to Hercules. "Please gently place the vehicle back down, and I will talk to you about this debt that you owe. Perhaps we can figure something out then where you can get this horse back and not have to worry about... owing someone money?" She asks the big beefy man, not worried about him being a threat... YET at least.

Hercules has posed:
Hercules verrrrry carefully starts to lower the car, until it's gently down onto the ground again. "You're a diplomat, right? That sounds good to me! Now, I don't normally get myself into these situations..." which is a complete lie, but, well, he is Hercules and anyone would know he isn't always honest. "But I'd owe you!"

Then, reaching out for her hand, he smiles. "I've never seen any diplomats who look like you. Normally they're nerds in suits." He looks her up and down, no shame on his part. "You are not a nerd in a suit."

Wonder Woman has posed:
The security guard rushes over to inspect his beloved car after its set down. He gives a glare at this Hercules fellow while he extends his hand toward Diana.

Diana, shows a warm and calm smile and she reaches out to accept the handshake. "You know..." Diana says to him then, her husky voice is as unique as her appearance in such a role as hers. "If you truly are Hercules... Then we share the same father." She shakes his hand and then retracts hers. "Come along inside, you can tell more about this person who you owe money to and I can see about getting the debt resolved, perhaps in ways that don't involve picking huge things up as measures of value." She shows a grin then and motions toward the small stairweay up into the New York Embassy for the people of Themyscira. Its not as nice as the Consulate in Metropolis, but its still quite a residence for the Manhattan area.

Hercules has posed:
"You couldn't have //waited// to tell me?" Hercules asks, his priorities on that information clearly a bit backwards. "I don't remember seeing you on Mount Olympus, but father //did// get around." He watches her, like some kind of pathetic giant puppy. "Are you //sure//?" he asks, pleading for a different answer.

"I was in a place they call Hell's Kitchen, riding my friend's horse. My friend is this guy I pay money to pull me around in a carriage sometimes. But I saw a card game happening on an old picnic table. So I decided, sure, I'm Hercules, I can play a card game! Then I lost the horse to some mob guy! I'd just steal the horse back, but I can't just go back on a bet!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana pauses when he seems to be uninterested in going inside and rather keep it a show out here where other people on the street have already been recording him picking up the car and setting it back down, taking photos and the like from across the street or down the sidewalk from where they are... at least this was one of the lesser busy streets on this side of town though.

Diana shows a faint smirk to the man then and she just turns to face him again, her fingers inter-lacing together in front of her lap. "I am quite sure." She tells the large man. "My mother is Queen Hippolyta of Themyscira. She begged Zeus for a child and he was kind enough to grant it to her. She sculpted me from clay and he willed me to life. So yes, he is my father, in a... untraditional sort of way." She shows a smirk to him then. "I have been to Olympus, but it is not a place I consider home, by any means."

"That being said... you should be more careful about the bets you place. How much, precisely, do you owe?"

Hercules has posed:
"That doesn't count at all!" Hercules suddenly shouts, then he finally //does// start to head inside, waiting for Diana to lead the way again. "One thousand dollars. I know it's not a lot, but I rarely bother making money, I usually have something left over from a quest! But it turns out I've been broke for a while."

He reaches down to turn his pockets inside out. "Lot of people out there. They act as if they've never gazed upon the glorious form of Hercules before!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana shows a knowing smirk to the man then as she turns and leads him the rest of the way into the Embassy's lobby. Its an expensive looking building with dark wood floors and white painted walls. Tall ceilings and a lot of art decorating the walls and furniture pieces.

"If you wander around New York with weapons on your person, you are bound to draw a lot of attention. Regardless of your other unique features." Diana tells him after they pass inside. She walks toward the receptionist's desk, the receptionist is stationed there... a middle aged woman... who's given Hercules a very uncertain stare.

"A thousand dollars... Hmm..." Diana picks up a tablet computer off of the corner of the desk and she turns then to look back at Hercules.

"How are you to pay this?" She asks him then. "I would very much like a chance to speak to this 'mob' person rather than give them money of any value."

Hercules has posed:
"Cash, then I get the horse back. Heyyyy..." Hercules leans in, staring at her closely while rubbing his chin. "If you're super strong, I don't suppose you're thinking about going and stealing that horse back after beating the guy up, are you?"

He reaches out to place a firm hand onto her shoulder. "Because if you are, my clay sister who definitely doesn't count, I guess I can't stop you. Oohhh well..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana glances at the hand that goes to her shoulder and then she looks back up at the man who's maybe an inch or so taller than she is right now. "No." She replies to him, showing a smirk then. "Not everything has to be settled with punches and 'beatings'." Her head shakes side to side and she glances back down to the computer in her hands. "My reputation alone is enough to likely settle this. All I wish to do is speak with them, calmly and on good terms."

She puts her eyes back up on his face then and shows a faint smirk. "He will likely see reason when I have a chance to explain everything to him. And this way, no money has to be transfered to anyone. And your horse friend can be returned to its proper care giver." And then Diana shows another soft smile.

Hercules has posed:
"Well, if you can just fix it all, I won't complain! This is my favorite embassy, no one's arresting me!" Hercules takes his hand back, then stares at the tablet, squinting. "Why do you do this, anyway? Wear a suit, stay in this stuffy building. You could be running around kicking things, drinking beer, not wearing a shirt, sometimes waking up in a barn for some reason."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana hears these words and she cannot help but smile then and laugh even a short little laugh at them. She also shakes her head right to left once. "Waking up in barns without clothing on is not my idea of fun." Diana responds to him. Her eyes then go up to look at him. "And the Justice League is where I do my fighting. Against... foes like you described. The kind seeking to do harm to innocents. I share my schedule between here and there. We have many capable warriors in our League, they do not always need my presence. I go when a situation arises that warrants my style of attention."

She motions to the computer in her hands then. "Do you have a name for the person that you owe the money to so that I might reach out to them to fix all of this for you?" She asks then, her pointed chin dipping a little as she awaits the answer.

Hercules has posed:
"Lenny the Shark... that was probably a red flag." Hercules considers, in hindsight. He's always much better at hindsight than foresight. "You don't like waking up in barns without clothes on?! Do you //ever// have fun?" he suddenly wonders, looking almost worried. "And the Justice League, I've heard of that, they've got that Superman guy you see sometimes. I'd love to fight that guy!"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana shows a smirk then at that initial response and she nods her head slowly and drawn out. "I have fun. Just my own kinds of fun. Fun that doesn't involve... any of that." She replies to him while she jots down that name of the mobster that the thousand dollars is owed to. "I shall find this Lenny the Shark..." Her expression momentarily sours as she doesn't like that name at all, and then she looks back up at Hercules.

"You are welcome to stop by the League's Hall in Metropolis some time, it is possible that you could meet with Superman there, as well as many others. You seem to be a man who does a lot of traveling, with or without horse, so I imagine you could find your way there fairly easily." She shows a smirk then to him.

Hercules has posed:
"You can't just cut out entire categories of fun! I have to get you a keg, then you'll really live life." Hercules decides, and then nods in agreement. "I travel all the time! I'll visit the League, seems like the kind of place a guy like me should hang around. Everyone talks about how strong Superman is, so I'll challenge him to a friendly duel."

"I have a number, for when you find Lenny." He grabs a card sitting in a stack on the desk, and a pen, then writes his number down, offering it to her.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana shows a smirk then as she turns around to offer the tablet to her Receptionist who'll take the information down to get what Diana needs from it. "I will take that under consideration." She replies about the keg and the fun, now glancing back to him to show another faint smile. "We will have this all settled for you though and you won't have to worry about anything... Other than being ready for the pain that Superman inflicts on his sparring partners." And she shows a bit of a grin with that little bit of sass given back to the large man before her.

"My receptionist can take down your number if you provide it to her, we will make sure to contact you to let you know when it has all been settled too. And see? Helping people, without any need for fighting."

Hercules has posed:
"I don't know if I like all of this non-violence, but if it gets the job done." Hercules reaches out to place his hand on her other shoulder, now. "You're a very refined woman, it's no surprise that you're royalty. You know exactly what you're doing. Me? I never know what I'm doing, I just go in there and swing an axe, or a hammer, and hope everything turns out okay! I save my deep thinking for the intricate art of love."

He finally starts to head for the exit, raising a large hand. "I'll see you around, clay sister who doesn't really count."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana shows the man a warm smile after he says these words and the hand that goes to her shoulder finds her to be as sturdy as a mountain, which is surprising considering her frame and body look nothing like such a thing.

"We are what we choose to be, and we do as we see is best to be done." Diana replies to him then as he turns to start to leave the way he'd entered. "Please do be careful. Do not rush to violence, it may land you in far more trouble than you wish to be in." She's instantly worried about him, or for him.

"If you need assistance, seek me out. I will be here or in Metropolis at the League's Hall." She adds though, just to make sure he knows she's here to help.
