The Dragon and the Wilykat

Mutant Town is one of those places Wilykat might actually be able to fit in. There are others who are visibly different, and so far he's managed /not/ to simply go up to any of them and ask dozens of questions. His curiosity, while partially on them, is also on various storefronts and signs in the area. It's difficult to tell exactly what he's up to, but to the average person it almost looks like..window shopping? He's in front of some kind of clothing store right now, squinting at a few displays while looking between them and his own things.

For the place it is one of various extremes, some people look like normal humans, others in some cases look like animals. One or two cat likes that could pass for Thundarians, but also an APE man, a dog man. Who might remind thundarians of mutants from their world. But for the most part these are all outcasts. Perhaps echos of what had been or cound have been. Who knows what went wrong? But there is someone here who is on the look out in particular a Bio mechanical looking dragon, as he checks the area out paying attention to the felines. Cyberdragon is still nursing his ribs from a few days ago from in Gotham but he has been concerned for Tygra, he hasn't seen him in the forest and is wondering if he was in trouble. So looking around he spots Wilykat as he searches for that tell tail cat head symbol. The other thundarians had on them.

As it happens, Wilykat /does/ have one of those symbols on his belt, but it's not very large and it'll take a certain angle to notice it. He's peering into the building he's in front of, looking at the display, but he doesn't move to enter. There definitely are some around here that are curious enough to draw a second look from the feline, who runs a hand through his hair as he glances around while trying to figure out where he wants to go next.

The Dragon of course Spots the Symbol Cyber eyes are sharp and fast as he calls out a word that he heard Tygra call himself. (Thundarian?) the dragon says it softly, loud enough to draw attention, but not harsh enough to be a challenge. He does not approach the Cat boy? as he calls out again. (Thundarian?) and allows the feline to approach him of his own. He knows how dangerous people can be isolated and alone. And if he is as young as he fears the boy might react and run.

Wilykat fortunately has something that covers the potential language issue anyway, but hearing 'Thunderian' a couple times is enough to draw his attention, his brows shooting upward at the large mechanical-looking..dragon? "Oh no, it's the lizards!" he exclaims, and he does indeed turn to run even if he's older than Cyberdragon might be expecting, if he even has an idea about who Wilykat is depending on what Tygra may or may not have said. Forgotten is the window display along with any others nearby. Instead, he's headed for the closest alley.

Sadly, Tygra was still learning english so the ability to communicate is rather limited. Still watching the feline walking down the alley The Dragon or lizard follows slowly. His steps are slow and even allowing the Thundarian time to escape and when someone asks the dragon what is going on protectively he says. "I have been looking for a family of feline muatnts who have been seperated I believe he is one of them as he appeared to be wearing a red buckle with a black cat head in it." he says And of course he assures that he won't be fighting. And he continues to walk slowly into the alleyway protecting himself here with hardend armor, knowing he might have lost the thundarian, or be attacked. In this case allow the attack to happen offer no resistance.

When Cyberdragon gets into the alley, Wilykat is nowhere obvious to be seen. Suddenly from above, a few pellet-like things come down and explode into bright flashes in front of the robotic-looking thing. "It wasn't enough that you chased after us back home. Now you're here too?" he exclaims, and the translator ensures the words come through in actual English in spite of him speaking in the Thunderian language. Whether the flashbangs do the trick or not, he's ascending a fire escape ladder the rest of the way to the rooftop of the building it's connected to.

The Dragon is not overly effected by the Flash bangs as he says, "Wait I am not one of your enemies!" the words surprise me, your leader Lion-o had a Universal Translater too." he says. And the starts to Describe Lion-o in detail including the dagger that had the arms that curled up, the glowing eye. And of course that claw shield. Given the dragon has Wings whish he unfurls. "I met your friend Tygra in the forest, I am simply trying to reunite you all." he says.

Wilykat may not be visible, but he can still hear the words. Soon, his head pokes out over the edge of the rooftop, along with a hand that has a few more of the flashbangs in it. Though he appears fully grown, his overall demeanor comes off almost more kitten-like. Odd, perhaps? "..what? You've seen Lion-O and Tygra and you're not here to hurt us?" Oh, does he look skeptical, not yet letting down his guard. "Why should I trust you?"

Realizing that the needs to show his good will he will say, "Here." and then the dragon's head lift sup and the throat opens up, sliding down as as someone actually steps out of the dragon, Human, but masked. He also looks like he has bandages around his chest. The Dragon slowly back away and stands to the side of the human. The human looks up in the direction of the feline. "This is my companion A symbiotic life form. Together we are Cyberdragon." he says hoping that he can earn enough benefit of the doubt to have the feline approach him.

Wilykat stays put while the show is going on down below, but he squints then looks on the surprised side as the creature stepping out of the robot thing is not in fact a lizard, but someone looking very much like most of the people he's spotted in the city so far. Slitted eyes move from person to dragon, dragon to person, and back again. "...what?" he just asks, though the other hand also appears as it grips the edge of the rooftop. The flashbangs don't come down, but neither are they put away yet.

"I am a hero. In much the same way the Thundercats were on your world. We have champions of truth, and justice, honor. We keep our identities secret to protect our friends and loved ones. Some heros gain very powerful enemies." He has learned body language and keeps his hands open palms up trying to appear non threatening. "Seems you are too concerned to talk I will take my leave. I'll return tomorrow and if possible I will bring Lion-O." he says and the dragon moves to the human and the human turning around to walk out of the Ally, and in a flash of light the dragon and human are one creature once more as he continues the slow walk out of the alley.

"I've already seen him," Wilykat shares after the talk of bringing Lion-O is raised. While he doesn't come all the way down yet, he puts the flashbangs away and moves back to perch on the ladder, then comes down a level. "I don't know much about what anyone does here. You just looked like one of those mechanical lizards they used on my world," he explains, and it can be seen his tail looks a bit frazzled, still.

Stopping and he turns around slowly allowing himself to lean against a wall as someone comes in, a big guy concerned for the Kid with plenty of muscle as he looks to the dragon and says in a deep voice. "Hey you bothing this kid scales?" he says with a growl... And then the dragon looks to him and then the Kid he says. "I don't know. Am I?" he says as the Guy clearly taller than the dragon and a lot more well muscled looks to the kid.

"Whiskers! You're big!" Wilykat exclaims. Maybe he picked up that word from being around Lion-O too much, but the way it sounds it could pass for a Thunderian version of a swear word. That's the first reaction from the wide-eyed cat as he openly stares, only remembering to say something else after Cyberdragon prompts him to. "Huh? Oh. Uh..we're okay. He knows some friends of mine." Hopefully this isn't a mistake.

The Guy inhales and he then looks to the kid and says to the dragon, "alright you cause trouble here scales and I'll pound you up to your neck in the ground." he threatens as the guy does move on down the dragon explains.

"Don't mind him. Mutants tend to be very protective of their own around here. and you are close enough to be seen as one so it's a good place to hang out. Unfortunatly humans born with A set of DNA genes that activates gives them unusual powers or appearances. It's a issue of fear and concern for some people." he says. The Dragon doesn't move from his relaxed spot leaning against the wall. He knows to let the Thundarian approach him. "I also met a friend of yours Tygra, He had a similar reaction to you gave me. Though I think he intended to try and attack me."

Wilykat's tail is no longer quite as puffy as before, though it's still fluffy when it's seen to move. Around the time the rocky mutant guy is leaving, the Thundercat moves down another level. It's about a six-story building, so he's still got a little ways to go. "I..don't really know what you're talking about with all that, but I think I get the overall idea." The protection thing, looking after one's own. Then he sniffs, amused. "That sounds like Tygra to me."

As he smiles seeing the Cat's nerviousness he says. "Yeah he lost his Universal translator. A mind reader joined my mind, his and hers into a sort of meeting where we could understand each other. Was a unique experiance of course. He's been trying to learn English. Sadly I haven't seen him for a couple days." John is amased at just how much The thundarians are Catlike."

"One of the reasons I wanted to speak with you is not everyone is friendly here. There are those who will come after you because you are non terrestrials. One of them is interested in me, I think they have their hearts in the right place. Their diplomacy could use some work I admit."

Who knows how long it could take for Wilykat to learn any English? At least Tygra has an education to fall back on. Without that translator, Wilykat would be completely lost. He looks about the same when he's told of a mind reader linking multiple ones together. "Okay..." is all he has to say to that, though he frowns at the lack of news regarding Tygra. And, yes, they're very catlike, especially Wilykat.

"Well, I don't know anything about anyone here except for one or two people, so everyone could be dangerous to me unless they can prove I should trust them," he points out.

As he looks to the Cat and then Spreads his wing out to full extention and back up. "Well the fact that I am not chasing you through the air I would hope is a good start." he says with a smile John is himself more 16 so he understands some of the idea of being lost and alone. "I hope the question isn't offensive but. I have to ask, but you seem much younger than the other Thundercats. In ages relating to adult hood how old would you be?"

Wilykat moves down one more level, probably only twenty or so feet above Cyberdragon's head now. There's a brief flinch back when the wings unfurl, apprehension showing for a few seconds before he settles again. "It's a good start," he agrees, but a little confusion lingers at the question of age. "I don't really know how old I am," the cat has to admit.

"The only reason I asked was you seemed like a young boy. I do understand the whole lost and alone thing. My mother died a while ago leaving me on my own. Forcing me to deal with the local athorities to avoid being put with a family member who would have taken advantage of me. Or worse with total strangers. With you it's even worse, Stranger in a strange land, I would like to try and help you find Lion-o I know he was at a garden area, sadly I haven't seen him there after I had to leave him with Vorpal." The dragon says.

The dragon says. "Tygra I know the general area of I never really pushed to hard to look for him, I think he's still nervious around me."

"I /was/ a kitten..before," Wilykat answers evasively, now down to the last level of the fire escape before he'd have to hop back to the floor of the alley to go any lower. Then he nods slowly to the news shared, only saying, "Then you kind of know what it's like. And..Vorpal? He took me there. Maybe I can help find Tygra, too." The thought of reuniting with all of the Thundercats is definitely something he could focus on to drive him further.

With a smile, "When was the last time you actually had something decent to eat?" He makes a motion and says. "Plenty of resturaunts in the area, might not be the best food but I'll pay for it. You take your pick." he says with a smile knowing that it should put the kid at better ease. "Yeah It can be hard. Eventually I did find someone to help me. Not the full story of what happened. But close enough."

WilyKat (283) has posed:
Wilykat's eyes go skyward, like he's in deep thought over the question. "This morning, but if you're offering.." Here he hops back down the rest of the way. Free food is free food! You don't want to know some of the stuff Kit and I have had before!" While it may still be odd to be talking to a big robotic dragon with someone inside it, how must the one inside feel about dealing with, essentially, cats from space?

As he smiles and will allow himself to be beside the cat from space, As he looks around and starts to head to the areas. "ACtually We have places were the homeless can get free meals. I often volunteer my time to cook for them when I can do so. Keep that to your self, I don't want to be ambushed in the future."

"Who's Kit?" He asks and then says, "Realitive from the sound of your voice." he says and soon they will get to an area of Mutant Town that has some food vendors that have hot fresh food being cooked.

"You do? But I have a home. Sort of," Wilykat replies, though it seems he's talking about it in a different way, holding a different interpretation of what constitutes home. He merely nods from there and lets the big dragon lead the way back out, keeping a generally safe distance up for the moment. "She's my sister. We're twins." Before elaborating, some really tasty smells begin to reach his nose, and he immediately licks his lips.

One of the best ways to earn trust is food. And with Kit choosing. The chance of it being laced withsomething hurtful is less likely. John inside the suit is also aware of some body language, This thundarian is used to life on the streets. "So What is your name, you never mentioned." he says with a smile pulling out some money that should be enough to cover anything the kat wants.

"Wilykat," says the Thundarian, and brief observation would show he is indeed accustomed enough to life on the streets that he's got a general sense of wariness about him. On the other hand, food breaks down a lot of barriers. When they come up to one of the vendors with the hot dogs that are so popular in the city, he gravitates toward that one and points toward it. "What are those? I want some!" A beat later and he adds, "Please?"

"Pleasure to meet you Wilykat." and with a smile he nods and says.

"You don't know what a hot dog is?" the guy asks.

Cyberdragon says, "My friend is not from around here. So no he doesn't They have a lot of names. Frankfurters, hotdogs. Sasuages depends on the meat used." and he will himself order some that are put in the Deep Fryer to be made fresh as he smiles. allowing the Kat to get what he wants as the dragon smiles pulling out some paper money he got from stark so that if it is traced john won't have his personal money traced to him. He also makes sure to let Kat know of the various condiments, asking the vender if he can get a small taste of them before he just piles on the in grediants. And of course he will be given a small taste of each one. Chili, mustard, katsup, relish, onions, etc. And Of course the Dogs are cooked quickeely and served in a decent amount as the vender is suurprised when the dragon offers him a bill that he says to keep the change. Perhaps he is over paying for the food?

Wilykat has the look, depending on one's perspective, of a cat that might have stepped out of a Renaissance Faire or something along those lines, what with the tunic and all. The style is definitely not what most would consider modern. He nods and repeats the part, "Not from around here," with the translator doing its job all the while during the conversation. There are words on the cart, various brand names, prices for each thing and so on, but he can't figure out a single thing they say so he has to keep it to the verbal stuff and pointing at a few pictures.

After sampling each condiment, he goes with four hot dogs with literally everything on them, doing his best to avoid any drooling or premature consumption, waiting (if not entirely patiently) for the yummy-smelling food to be ready.

When it is, Wilykat nibbles at the end of the first one, then he must deem it worthy because he literally gobbles all of his hot dogs down in a time that would put competitive eaters to shame. "Ohh, theef are goof!" he exclaims within a few seconds of stuffing his face. Om nom nom.

of course he playfully scolds the Kat when he speaks. "Don't talk with your mouth full, and slow down before you choke to death, no one is going to take yourt food." he says with a smile. He himself has a Soda more or less to allow the Kat to eat his food. Still finding a place to Sit down the dragon is apparently very lax, infact he is very keenly observing the area making sure that no one is sneaking up on them. And he will need to get more information on the robo lizards that he was mistaken for.

In fact he would love to get all the Thundercats to meet Tony Stark. Stark has treated him alright and good. And it would help keep them out of SHIELD's Radar. Then there is Superman, the hall of justice. Superman is an alien Refugee of sorts from a destroyed planet.

If Cyberdragon knew anything about Wilykat, it's that is isn't a slow eater. "M'fine!" he insists, but when he tries a soft drink of his own to wash some of it down, he comes off looking like he's got more energy than he did a moment ago. The eyes are a little wider, his activity level a little higher, his tail a little more straight out and bushy. "Oh wow that was really tasty thanks for getting me some I'll definitely have to get some more next time!" he says, rapid-fire. Hyper cat.

Oh shit Cyberdragon realizes, "Oh shit sugar rush." he says, "Sweets must give you aboost of energy, I'll have to remember that in the future." and he thinks the best thing to do is to help burn that energy safely and smiles. "Looks like you are ready for some exercise. Let's find out, just how agile and fast you up, Up for a little race?" he says as he can hear his other half talking about the injuries he has. And right now John wants to burn that energy off so Kat doesn't get himself in trouble.

"Where? To get more food? You're on!" Without actually waiting for the guidelines of this race, Wilykat breaks off into a run by starting on all fours before going more upright again, the tail trailing along behind him. It's not close to Cheetara's top speed, but as he vaults over a parked car it's clear to see he's very agile, quick, and nimble, even more than he ought to be thanks to the effects of the sugar. "Ummmm where are we racing, anyway?" he calls back over a shoulder.

As he smiles and says, And then will show Wilycat a hologram of the area and where they are pointing the starting point at one end of the street and then back. The rules are simple, for him no flying and no tripping, but to run around a 4 block square all of which includes mutant down and then back to the starting point.

John knows he will be hurting but that energy in him john can just see troubling as if Kat wins he'll get some more food, and if Cyberwins he gets to teach cat some lessons concerning the value of money in the region. In addition to another lunch.
