Synopsis:	Benjamin Reilly runs into Carrie Kelley in Central Park. They see the sights and chat awhile before parting ways.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
it's a bright and sunny day, hardly a cloud in the sky as folks have come out to picnic and have fun out on The Great Lawn. With a camera hanging around his neck Ben Reilly walks up to a hot dog stand pulling out his wallet "Two Dali Lamas, extra onion." he says "and a diet soder" he adds waiting for the food the young man seeing something in a near by tree that he pulls his camera up to take a picture..

Carrie Kelley had been intending to come to New York for quite awhile now to follow up on some possible connections she'd made. The fact that college had just let out for Summer break, and she wasn't intending to take any classes this quarter, made it the perfect opportunity to head over today. The fact it was sunny and lovely out has her lingering in the area enjoying the scenery. Beneath that tree with the bird that Ben is looking at, she stands with her own camera up. It wasn't a still picture camera though. No, this was a mini HD camcorder which she was lining up to record the best view of the park she could find for some possible stock footage.

     Benjamin's camera isn't anything to sneeze at, though it /is/ about 10 years old at this point. Taking his hotdogs and drink he turns around noticing the 'professional' kit and makes his way over curious about the entire setup. "Making a movie?" he asks when he's about eight feet away, one hot dog brought up to take a third of it in one bite the man mmming and closing his mouth in gastronomic bliss for half a moment.

Carrie Kelley blinks several times as she looks away from her camera toward Benjamin. The unfamiliar man is regarded warily only a moment--He was eating a hotdog and had a camera as well. That, somehow, made him seem a little less threatening than a potential stranger in New York might be. "Sort of, yeah. I'm going to be doing some shoots for a PR video and I thought I'd get some shots of New York that were more unique than the same old city skylines, and Statue of Liberty. I don't know if I'll use it yet, but..." She trails off looking back to raise her videocamera up again. "The line of trees here with the towering skyscrapers in the background just make it seem all the more impressive, don't you think?"

     Benjamin looks around and grins. "Yeah, The City's pretty awesome at times. You can get another wide angle shot up over by Belvedere castle, there's an observation deck that'll let you get all of The Lawn if you've got a wide enough lense, or can do panamoramic shots on that beast." he says pointing to the camera. "What model is it?" he asks holding up his own camera "mine's an old Nikon from 2016." he explains the slightly scuffed up camera..

Carrie Kelley finishes her shot apparently as Benjamin continues to talk. The camera is lowered, video screen clicked into standby mode as her attention turns to him. "There's a *castle* here?" Yeah, she definitely wasn't from around here. "I'll have to look into that," she decides mumbling to herself about it with a nod. Hm. Then the question of the camera comes up. "Oh, it's a Sony High Definition mini-cam with a hard drive and expandable SD slot. Makes it easier to do video editing later by porting it over to the computer. Plus Sony uses ZEISS glass for their lenses which has some of the best clarity on the market. It's not top of the line, but I made sure to pick the features I wanted that would help me most. I got it used for two hundred."

     Benjamin nods and grins "Nice, I sort of use to work for the Daily Bugle, this was the camera I used back then." he explains. "I'm Ben by the way, would you like me to show you the castle? It's just a little bit to the South West of here over on the other side of The pond and past the Shakespeare theater." he explains. "I've got the day off and am just enjoying the weather, I could be a native guide for you, show you some of the other spots you might like to get some shots of that aren't your standard 'This is The City' shots." he offers..

Carrie Kelley turns to offer her hand out in greeting. "Carrie Kelley," she offers with a smile. "Nice to meet you, Ben. I wouldn't mind some other shots. I should try to get some dramatic ones from different heights at some point though. You said there's an observation tower?" That might work for what she had in mind. "I don't want to steal all your free time though."

     Benjamin shrugs "I've had worse days than showing a tourist around the city." he says with a grin. "Besides, you'll be entertainment me getting to see your reactions to the city in general." he adds cheekily. "You setting up to go to NYU next semester?" he asks curiously motioning towards the path they need to take to head towards the castle.

Carrie Kelley chuckles softly at that response. "Okay, if you're sure." She moves to fall into step beside Ben as they walk along, and she does indeed allow herself a few moments of touristy distraction at the different sights that the park offers. Every now and then she raises her camera to line up a shot in the view screen just to see how it would look. "No, I actually attend Gotham University," she explains. "I had the chance to help Tony Stark out with a lecture he was holding there, and suggested he ought to give me a chance to redo the Avenger's PR video on their website because the current one is reeeeally bad. It was a long shot, but he surprisingly agreed to let me." Lowering her camera again she grins triumphantly at sharing that news. "Which is why I'm here. I'll be filming at the Avenger Mansion later."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Benjamin nods, soon arriving at the pond at the end of The Lawn, the castle in question visible across the small body of water. "there she is incase you want to do an establishing shot out here." he says before motioning to the path that'll take them around to the castle proper..

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"You said that you used to work at the Bugle. What do you do now?" Carrie asks as she moves around, considering a few shots. It was lovely but not quite what she wanted. None the less she takes a few panoramic shots as they move along. "Besides helping tourists get interesting shots in the park."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Benjamin shrugs. "Right now I don't have a job, just got back to the city after being away for about three years. I did a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, even spent six months in Italy as an English teacher." he explains walking along the path. "Now I'm back and havn't really looked for much. Might see about doing a courier job in upper Manhattan." he says simply. "Til then it's helping pretty girls around the city, and elderly ladies across the street." he explains cheekily..

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Really? I don't think I could ever just drop things and go off like that. Too much of my home in me, I guess. But then," she adds with a chuckle. "That's Gotham. Once you're there you really don't leave." Carrie lowers her camera again in favor of sweeping her hand back through her hair tucking it behind her ear. "That's kind of cool though. Traveling like that. Did you enjoy it?" Even as she asks she flushes a little with a smirk at mention of pretty girls. "Oh, well then, I should stop taking up your time so you can go find some to show around."

     Benjamin shakes his head kicking an aluminum can up and into a near by trashcan as they pass. "You'ed be surprised, sometimes life has a way of making you have to go away for a bit. Besides, it was good for me, rounded me off a bit more as a person traveling and working here and there making my way across the country, then over the ocean. Knocked off the sharp corners, you know?" he explains his last three years, a return smirk on his face. "Nah Red, I'm fine with who I'm showing around right now." he teases coming around the corner the trees parting to show the front exterior of Belvedere Castle.

Being called 'Red' earns a laugh from Carrie. "Red? That's a first. It's usually 'carrot top' or something. Always been fond of 'soul-stealing ginger' personally." Grinning broadly she turns to point the camera at Ben including him in the shot a moment as she walks backwards a few steps. "I guess Red works though." She hasn't quite let herself look at the castle yet, and so slowly turns around to face it swinging the camera with her for a smooth transition shot. "Wow, you weren't kidding about this place."

     Benjamin sticks his hands in his jeans and just smiles for the camera. "Nah, not enough freckles to call you a Ginger maybe if you tanned a little more." he snarks grinning and nodding as he motions to the castle. "Yup, it's even been in a few movies, one starring Christopher Reeves, and it's Count Von Count's home on Sesame Street." he adds what little trivia he has to the castle. "Maybe you could get Tony Stark to do a 'One! One Avenger, AH AH AH' for the PR film, you could edit him into that window over there." he says motioning to one of the higher up ones.. "At least for the Gag Reel."

Carrie Kelley snorts faintly. "I seriously doubt that. He seems like the sort of guy who just stands around barking orders at least until something catches his eye. Avenger or not, he's still a billionaire playboy. I know how that works out. Gotham has our share of them, too." Though most didn't wear power suits of that sort. "It is pretty interesting though. The castle I mean. I'm just gathering some stock footage for now. A bit of showing the city that they live in off as well. Give it a more human aspect. Since some of them aren't."

     Benjamin snorts "Tony? Barking orders?" he says before catching himself.. "Uhh... I've kinda met him a time or two, he came across as snarky, flippant, and a little bit silly." he comments blushing a little at his initial reaction. "He runs the buisness well, but I think he'ed be lost without his Assistant." he adds trailing off to a mumble..

Carrie Kelley considers this a moment lifting a hand to cup her chin in thought. "Really? He seemed pretty aloof and preoccupied when I met him... and he just kept telling people to fix things." She frowns faintly. "Then again... You're right. It was more everyone else running around trying to please him than him ordering. I didn't really notice before. I was too upset they were mucking around with my sound system. It took me hours to get that just right."

     Benjamin nods. "Yeah, he'll be preoccupied all the time, probably has a hundred different things going on in his head at the same time, probably up to and including him designing his next suit. I swear I think he makes them by the dozen, with a different iteration on each, must be cheaper that way." he says with a chuckle. "Reed Richards though... " he blows out a bit of air. "That guy's got like a thousand different things going on in his head, he's so far in the clouds he's got trouble knowing what month it is, much less what day." he says with a chuckle..

Carrie Kelley listens with a slight tilt of her head as he speaks of people with such familiarity. "Seems like you know a lot of powerful people. Got a lot of interviews with the Bugle?" It wasn't that far off a guess given what he'd told her so far. Putting peices of stories together was something a director did after all.

     Benjamin coughs and shakes his head "uhh, no, nothing like that." he says rubbing the back of his head. "I uhh.. sorta had an intern ship at the Baxter building, and got to meet Tony Stark while I was there." he explains flushing a little as he's let his relaxed state let a little too much information out..

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley lifts an eyebrow slightly at that considering him a long moment. An internship at the Baxter Building? For a photographer? Interesting. "Sounds like you've had a pretty eventful life so far. That's cool though. Sometimes you take what opportunities you get when you get them after all. I wouldn't be here otherwise." Her attention shifts back to the castle taking a few more shots before lowering her camera completely. "I should save some hard drive space. I've only got so many SD cards with me today."

     Benjamin grins. "I was a photographer for the Bugle, I didn't say that was my college major." he says offhandedly. "IF you've got an android cellphone, that model of camera should have bluetooth capabilities. Here, let me see your phone for a second." he says holding out his hand.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Well yeah, who doesn't these days?" Carrie considers Ben a moment uncertainly at the request for her phone. A deep breath is drawn before she pulls it from the pocket of her jeans reluctantly. "Okay, but if you run off soon as I hand this to you, I'm chasing you down and beating you up." Maybe she's teasing. Maybe. Either way she hands it over to see what he intends to do with it.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Benjamin grins. "Trust me." he says taking out his phone as well, soon his thumbs are flying across both before he places his under hers the two phones back to back as a computer script starts running across hers. "Ok, so on your camera there, go into it's menu, find settings, and go down into networking, you should see a bluetooth menu, like you would your phone, hit on, and make visible." he guides flipping through settings on the phone. Soon enough the phone and computer are syncing up together. "Now, if you set yourself up a storage server, your camera will stream the pictures at a full 8k or the max resolution of your camera, which ever comes first to your phone, and this app I installed will then forward it to your server if you put in it's IP address and other information. Right now I've just got it going to your Google Drive. Five Terabytes though will fill up fast." he explains holding the phone back out to Carrie.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley nods as she takes in everything that was explained with a studious frown. "I'll have to see what I can set up then," she reasons as she reaches out to take her phone back. "Thanks. ... This isn't going to spy on me through my camera from now on is it?" An eyebrow lifts curiously with a little grin to show she was just teasing. That was a lot to take in though. "I'm going to guess your major was computer programming then?"

     Benjamin winks. "only when you're in the shower." he says playfully "Little bit of Engineering, little bit of comp sci, had some biophysics thrown in there for good measure." he answers. "if you don't already have a server, talk to Stark, you're working on a project for him, he can allocate some company storage for you to use." He comments slipping his phone back in his back pocket.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"I don't really have a direct contact for Stark. Then again, I haven't really tried to reach out again past the deal we'd made," Carrie admits with a small shrug. "Thanks. This should help either way even with my own Drive account. You're a handy man to have around, Ben."

     Benjamin grins. "I'm a man of many talents, it's what got me by as I did my little walk about." he says simply. "So, I take it you're going to GCC studying cinematography?" he asks curiously. "What do you plan to do with it after you finish? Not a lot of movies made in Gotham.." he comments

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"No, there's not," Carrie agrees with a shake of her head. "I'd like to direct. I teach acting as well though. I could become a teacher. It would just take switching up a few classes." Which means she's considered it or at least looked at the possibility. Her fingers roam over the buttons of her camera with an impassive expression. "I honestly haven't figured it out at this point. A lot has happened lately that's been making me rethink my life in general. Not in a bad way," she hastens to add looking back to him with a smile. "Just kind of eye opening stuff. I want to do more."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
     Benjamin nods. "Doing more if you're able is always a good thing." he says with a chuckle his watch suddenly beeping and vibrating. Pulling out his cellphone to check on what the notification was he lets out a sigh. "I've got to run and take care of an errand for a friend. It was nice meeting you, would you like to swap numbers? Maybe we can grab a bite to eat or I can show you broadway at some point if you like musicals?" he asks his voice both apologetic and hopeful..

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley blinks out of her thoughts when the cellphone goes off. "Oh, right, of course. Not a problem. Thanks for showing me a few sights." Flashing a grin she chuckles, and nods. "Sure thing, Ben." Pulling out a little notepad with a pen she scribbles down her number and hands it over to him. "I'll probably be in the city awhile. It's not too far a trip from Gotham to visit on occasion either."

     Benjamin grins at the note an impish look on his face. "You know, we /both/ have our cellphones right here.." he says quickly tapping in a text to Carrie. 'Hey Red, hows youse doin it reads. "Have fun, stay safe, Feel free to call me if you need anything or get into any trouble." he says as he turns to dash off back towards the city proper..
