Synopsis: Carrie and Twitch run into Scarlet Spider and social hijinks ensue!
Cast of Characters: Twitch, Scarlet Spider, Carrie Kelley

Twitch has posed:
It's a nice night to be out and about. The weather is clear and the lights from the moon, traffic and street lights provide enough illumination for Twitch to see what he's doing as he runs along rooftops. He moves from one to the other, leaping nimbly between them with a flip thrown in from time to time, just for fun. Landing on one rooftop and tucking into a roll before coming up into a sprint, he hauls ass for the next gap between buildings. Sailing through the air he lands on the edge of the next building over only to find the brick that his foot hits disintegrates beneath his weight! Suddenly, the young man finds himself falling and calling out, "Oh crap!" His body twists in the air, struggling to get his hands on something to keep him from plummeting to the ground.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider was out slinging.. (Like you do) the rythmic Thwip, Thwip of his web shooters letting him go along at a leisurly pace. Then he hears the cry of 'oh crap!' and starts swivling his head seeing the person falling, he quickly launches himself up higher than the falling youth towards a different high rise, his other hand moving to release a line of webbing that seems to spread out at the end, wrapping the teen entirely in the sticky substance. Tugging and changing the angle of his fall the slightly stretchy webbing has him swinging in a fast arc that has him swooping through the air about thirty feet above the ground before he's once more rising back up The Scarlet Spider launching himself towards the bundle to catch him and land on a near by rooftop.

"You trying to get yourself killed or something?!" he exclaims out setting him down on his side still rolled up like a corndog in his webbing.

Twitch has posed:
Suddenly having his fall halted and then finding himself unable to move as he's engulfed in webs, Twitch takes a second to try to figure out what just happened to him, eyes wide with surprise and fear. When he finally stops moving, set down on the rooftop by the swinging spider fellow, the young man turns his head to try to see his rescuer better, "No." He shakes his head as much as he can, "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened." In a futile gesture he attempts to muscle his way out of the webs, "I was just running along on the roofs when something gave way underneath me. That's never happened to me before." And then he seems to remember something, "Thank you for catching me. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't grabbed me."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley stands on the street below with her phone in hand to check a few messages. Basically, she was minding her own business and keeping to the side to ensure she wasn't blocking the sidewalk for those that wanted to just keep going by. It's due to this that the cry from above carries down to her causing her to look up with a puzzled expression. There was currently no one around that looked as if they may have yelled... and frankly it was a bit ... above her? She tips her head back to squint up at the sky unable to see much at all. Curious, she pulls her camcorder out to aim upward using the lense and the night-time lighting feature to boost her ability to see. Was something going on up there?

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider snorts. "Probably would have died." he says pulling out a small spray can that he sprays over the webbing causing it to rapidly dissolve. "Unless you can take a fall at terminal velocity and walk away, always try to overshoot your jumps, that way if the edge of what you land on falls away you don't create a sidewalk rorschach test." he says with a bite of amusement.

"What's with the getup? New Meta just getting your powers or something?" he guesses as he glances around, spotting the camera down below. "Hey! You with the camera!" he calls out quickly trying to web the redhead shutterbug and bring her up to roof level, a quite easy task with his enhanced strength!

Twitch has posed:
"I probably would have," Twitch agrees as the webbing around him disintegrates and allows him to move again. Once free of the sticky stuff he moves to his feet and brushes himself off. "I'll do that from now on. No way am I going to be taking chances like that if I don't have to."

Looking down at himself the young mutant nods, "Kinda. I don't really have any idea about how to make a better looking costume. Just working with what I've got."

As attention is drawn to the camera Twitch looks over to see the guy he's with attempting to web the videographer and pull them up. He lifts a hand to wave at them.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The lighting on the camera starts to fix itself allowing her a view of the rooftop. It was a bad angle to say the least but there were figures up there, tiny in the camera window. Then she's noticed. Huh? Her head jerks upward to see with her own eyes just in time to be webbed. A yelp comes from her as she's hoisted off her feet into the air abruptly. Heart leaping into her throat she ends up on the rooftop wide-eyed and gasping for breath. "What the hell!?" The camera is still in her hand thanks to the strap wrapped around her hand, but it's not exactly aimed at anyone or thing at this point. Tyler's wave earns an uncertain nod from her. "Geeze you New Yorkers are weird."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider sets the girl down. "You work for the Bugle? I'll pay you three times what Triple Jasshole Jameson is paying you, to scrub the memory cards." he says as he sets her down on the rooftop pulling out a money clip of 20 dollar bills from his utility belt.

Glancing back over at the other person up on the roof he nods. "You might wanna practice somewhere lower to the ground, find a parkour park or something." he adds sagely before turning back to the shutterbug.

Twitch has posed:
"Yeah. I'm going to go back to shorter buildings for a while. Maybe keep my grappling hook in my hand so I can use it if I start falling again," Twitch says to the Scarlet Spider as he watches the man deal with the girl with the camera. His hands slide into his pockets and he rocks back on his heels a little bit before he speaks to the young lady, "I don't mean to be weird. I'm just not used to people getting webbed up." He chuckles a little bit and looks around at the rest of the rooftop, "I don't think that it's something most people ever get to think of as normal."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"What?" Carrie regards the Scarlet Spider and the stack of twenties he pulls out with a look of sheer confusion. This was by far the weirdest thing she'd had happen to her before, and she'd had some pretty weird things happen lately. Before she can even come up with an appropriate response her attention shifts to the other fellow, who didn't look any more familiar to her than this spider guy did. "Yeah you and me both," she points out with a hint of snark.

Her head shakes and she reaches out to push Scarlet's money clip away with one hand. "No, dude. I don't work for anybody and I wasn't even recording. I heard someone scream and I was using the night function to get a look at what was going on."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider visibly relaxes, using the little sprayer of solvent to start the process of his webbing unraveling, soon leaving the girl free of the stuff. "Ohh! well yea.. Junior here almost made himself into a pavement pancake. " he explains motioning over to Tyler. "I'm The Scarlet Spider by the way, not to be confused with Spider-Man, we just happen to have similar skillsets." he explains as he introduces himself. "The Bugle likes to lambast folks of the spidery persuasion in their paper. I could see the headline now." he comments holding his hands out about two feet apart. "Scarlet Wearing Web-Slinger a Menace and Plague! Prevents possible purposful suicide" he quotes shaking his head.

Twitch has posed:
Hands still in his pockets, Twitch takes a long look around, leaning his head back to look into the night sky as if checking to see if something else might be out there before he returns his attention to the conversation at hand. "Yeah, I totally messed up a jump and almost fell. Scarlet Spider here bailed me out before I could splat." He sounds almost casual about it, but close examination would show that the youth is still shaken by his close call. "It's nice to meet you, by the way. I'm Twitch," he tells the other guy in a getup.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley rolls her eyes a little bit even though she could potentially see that being a thing. "I think it'd be better as 'Scarlet Spider scares teen into jumping', but that's if you want to be really mean." Lightly she clears her throat watching as the dissolving spray is spritzed on the webbing on her. Looking between the two as they introduce each other she ends up watching Twitch who was living up to his name. Frowning she asks softly, "You okay? Need a drink or something?"

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider glances over at Twitch, his mask hiding the grimace behind it. "Brushes with death will do that to ya, it's your body's responce to coming down off that adrenaline high, and depending on your adrenal responce you could be looking at something that could kickstart a sleeping elephant." he comments reaching behind him a hidden 'back pack' opening up to let him bring out a long clear plastic tube of red drink. "Fruit punch?" he asks before a second joins the first "pink lemonade?"

Twitch has posed:
Turning to look at Carrie the young man shakes his head, "I'll be alright. Just gotta keep breathing, right? I've only ever been that close to getting killed once before, but I got myself out of that one on my own." Seeing Scarlet Spider producing drinks suddenly has Twitch's eyes opening a little wider, "That's a good idea. I think I might need to invest in a Camelbak or something. I'm not really thirsty right now, but it's good to stay hydrated and running around like this is pretty hard work." He pulls his hands from his pockets and tugs on the vest he wears, making sure he's all straightened out. "I guess I've gotta get used to brushes with death if I'm going to run around in a costume. I just need to learn to minimize the risks I take while I'm doing it."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley just goes quiet for a few long moments watching these two exchange pointers on rooftop running. Ones she tucks away for her own use back in Gotham. Thankfully she'd never had such a close call... Yet. She knew it was a possibility though. Awkwardly she shuffles her weight where she stands before clearing her throat. "Not to interrupt this trade talk here, but... How am I going to get back down?"

Scarlet Spider has posed:
"Well, practice, practice practice." The Scarlet spider says leaving his wallet, and the two tubes of drink sticking to one hand he reaches into his belt puches coming out with a buisness card. White with red webbing on the front and a black spider icon in the center, the back has an email address on it. "Contact me if you want to get some pointers. I can help you hone your talents, and if you make a misstep prevent yourself from making unintended pizza. He explains before turning back to Carrie

"Jump?" Scarlet Spider suggest cheekily. "I can let you down, sorry for basically kidnapping you, I'm... paranoid when camera's are out." he explains "Fruit Punch? Lemonade?" he asks tucking his wallet back in it's spot on his utility belt. "Want me to take you down right now?" he asks

Twitch has posed:
"Thanks, man," Twitch says as he reaches forward to take the offered card and look at it. "I'll hit you up. I can definitely use the help." As was evident when he nearly got splattered. He approaches the edge of the building and looks down from there, nodding to himself before taking a step back, "I've gotta get used to the heights, too. It's neat being up so high, but it's hard to gauge distance and stuff." Then he looks over Carrie and lifts his chin at her, "You doing okay? It's gotta be pretty surreal for you. I know it is for me."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley offers a faintly amused smile at the pair, though she does cross her arms and give a shake of her head at the offer of a drink. Well... Then again... She reaches out to take the fruit punch with a mumbled thanks. "I'm fine. I grew up in Gotham. A killer clown is our worst terrorist, and gangs are pretty typical in my old neighborhood. Though," she starts to add as she tips back to take a drink of the fruit punch. A sigh is let out after, "Got to admit that was like the most unexpected roller coaster ride."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider nods his eye lenses shifting as he lifts his eyebrows. "ohh, yeah, it's pretty wild. If the two of you want, I could show you what it's like." he offers in a friendly manner as an idea comes to him.

Twitch has posed:
"Oh yeah. I've heard Gotham's a rough town," says Twitch as he walks around a little bit, examining the stuff on the building's roof as though it might make sense to him. Based on the look of confusion on his face as he looks over the building's equipment, though, he doesn't seem to have much of a clue. Then his head whips around so he can look at Scarlet Spider again when the superhero speaks, smiling beneath his mask, "Sounds like fun. I'd like to give it a try."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley chuckles faintly at the offer. "I have to say you're at least a lot more friendly than Gotham's resident hero. Batman is kind of... Imposing. To say the least." The offer of going swinging through the city earns a hesitant shrug. "I... don't see why not. I mean it could be fun." A hesitant glance is cast toward Twitch. "Not like I'll get a chance like this again, right?"

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider shrugs. "Visit New York more often, who knows, you might get to meet Iron Man, or Mr. Fantastic." he says nodding. "ok, so hold out your arms and legs like you're modeling for Vitruvian Man. but bend your legs a little." he says to the both of them, quickly creating a web 'harness' that will let them sit comfortably in the strong webbing. Then he slips first Twitch on like a backpack, then Carrie on like a satchel on his front, the two sitting 'side saddle' facing each other. With a little more web locking the two in place as he stands up as easily as if they were made of paper. "You both comfortable?" he asks as he starts to walk towards the edge of the building.

Twitch has posed:
"You've met Batman?" Twitch asks Carrie with wide eyes, sounding very impressed. "Neat. I know the Scarlet Spider, he's a pretty kick ass dude." Then he nods, "Yeah. It's one of those things you don't want to say 'no' to. You never know if you'll get another chance." At the Spider's instructions Twitch does as he's told, arms straight out and legs slightly bent. Surprised at the ease with which the superhero moves with two people attached to him Twitch chuckles and nods his head, "Surprisingly comfortable, yeah." As he sees the edge of the building approach he takes a deep breath and another little laugh escapes from him, "This is definitely not where I saw this night going."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Oh I already met Iron Man. He's why I'm in New York. Though it was without the suit," Carrie has to add with a small shrug. "And yes I met the Batman. Once. I was used as a sheild by some ninjas fighting him..." She trails off though as she moves into the position requested. The webbing was done, and she's apparently clinging to his front looking a bit uneasy. "You sure you can hold both of us? I mean, I'm sure you're strong, and I know I'm small, but..." Her own eyes go over to the edge of the building as well. Reaching out she take shold of one of Twitch's hands giving it a squeeze of solidarity. "If I scream don't take it personal!"

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider grins. "Lemme just say.. I can pick up a mini-Cooper and swing it like a baseball bat. The two of you are much easier." he says as he suddenly bends his legs and launches himself off, the trio flying a good thirty feet in the air before gravity takes over. With a quick Thwip thwip thwip he's swinging easily reaching ninety miles an hour from building to building taking ninety degree turns with quick high speed twists from his webbing.

To keep things intresting he at times will let the trio drop down lower before quickly launching them back up higher between the tall sky scrapers. "Either of you ever been to the top of the Empire State Building?" he asks over the rushing wind..

Twitch has posed:
When his hand gets squeezed Twitch grips it back, "Yeah, I'm going to try not to scream but I'm not making any promises..." And off they go! "Ha ha ha ha ha!" laughs the youth as he fly through the air. Though there's some nervous tension in his laughter it's clearly genuine. Then there's the change of angle thanks to Scarlet Spider sticking a web to swing from, "Woo!" Far too much fun to be had doing this. At the Scarlet Spider's question Twitch shakes his head and yells over the sound of the wind, "No!"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The high pitched sound of the wind whistling by drowns out the sounds of the city... Wait, no, that's Carrie screaming until her lungs give out. After that first downward swing though she takes a deep breath and clings tight to both the hand she holds and to Scarlet. "Okay okay okay I'm okay!" It's more said for her own benefit, stubbornly, as they swing along. It WAS fun admittedly but not knowing him well made it unnerving, too.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider makes his way towards the building in question, his webs slinging out faster and faster as the three pick up speed, and height, Scarlet Spider using the webbing like a sling shot at times. "Alright, hold on!" he calls out as he launches himself from the tallest near by building. Not /at/ the Empire state building, but at an angle that'll take him past. Soon his webbing has them spiraling up the side of the building, faster and faster, higher and higher. The Scarlet Spider doesn't stop either when he's at the observation deck. No, he goes for the grand tip, right where blimps would have docked right at the tip of the spire. "Welcome to what I think is about the best view in the entire city." he says proudly

Twitch has posed:
"Wooo!" Twitch calls out again as they swing through the air, holding on tightly to both Scarlet Spider and Carrie's hand. The thrill of the ride has him grinning beneath his mask, hard enough that his cheeks will probably be feeling it when everything is said and done. Once the trio reaches their destination the young man lets out another pleased sounding cheer, wordless and clearly full of enjoyment. "That was awesome!" And then he looks down and around to fully experience the view. "This is amazing! I can't believe I'm actually up here and swinging around with a superhero and stuff. This is amazing!"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley finally finds herself laughing after going through a series of fear, uncertainty, doubt, and finally just enoying it. Maybe the fact that the motions were more uniform as they swing around the tower. Once landing at the top she is allowed to breath deep again. "Holy crap that was amazing," she gushes with another laugh. Still having a chance to have her feet on something solid again was nice. "This is higher than anywhere in Gotham."

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider nods. "Hope this makes up for the.. rough handling earlier.." he says turning around slowly on the top of the spire to let the entire city in it's lit glory show the way. "Allright folks I just got some chatter about a break in across the city that police are going to check out, it sounds pretty routine so I Can drop you each off where ever you want between here and back where I ran into you both, but I'll need to leave after that to see if they'll need help." he explains

Twitch has posed:
Twitch continues to laugh for a few more seconds as he studies his surroundings, enjoying the view. "You can drop me where you picked me up, man. I think from there I can find my way back to my ride." He pats the Scarlet Spider on the shoulder, "This was really cool, man. Thanks so much for everything tonight." He looks towards Carrie and says, "I hope you get back to Gotham okay."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley nods in understanding. "Yeah, just... somewhere with a point of reference for me to navigate is fine. I'll find my way back. GPS is great," she explains with a chuckle. "I will, thanks," she adds to Twitch with a nod.

Scarlet Spider has posed:
Scarlet Spider nods, and with a final launch of his legs sends the three flying off the second tallest building in NYC the wind whistleing around them, Soon he has them back at the intersection where they met, a spray of the solvent has the three unstuck from each other. "Nice meeting you two." he says simply shaking their hands before he runs off vanishing into the night and heading for trouble.

Carrie will find that in her back pocket at some point during the whole ordeal Scarlet Spider slipped ten twenty dollar bills in her pocket along with one of his cards.

Twitch has posed:
Once he's back on the ground Twitch runs a hand through his hair to make sure it's as in place as he can get it and smooths out the front of his costume. Looking at Scarlet Spider as he shakes hands he says, "Nice to meet you, too. I'll catch you around." Then he looks towards Carrie and says, "If you need a lift somewhere my bike is parked right around the corner. It's not swinging around the city, but it's pretty nice for regular transportation."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley gives a nervous laugh at the pair, nodding. "Nice to meet you guys as well," she agrees even if she realizes she never gave her name. "I'm Carrie," she offers finally. Twitch's offer of the bike earns a shake of her head. "Thanks, but... I think I need my feet on the ground for awhile. Take care."
