Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Well....For once maybe New York is quiet. A few minor things like a mugging here and there, something for civilian heroes and police officers to worry about. Birds chirped, steady breeze in the air? A perfect day...

That is until the alarms on the library started to sound. It appears that a particularly annoying villain was up to the same old tricks....

The Abomination.

He had decided to accept a simple wrecking-crew job with a grand band of thugs with assault weapons. The villainy. One guy flies out the window and almost hits the pavement for a bloody ending.

Almost.

Thankfully, Johnny Blaze was there to catch him as the Hulk-like monster burst forth from the building. "I was wondering what I had to do to get attention!" The beast bellows, before it's eyes lock on Blaze. and vice versa.

"Run." Blaze tells the man he caught, who does so without even second guessing, leaving Blaze, Abomination, and Abomination's goons in a tense staredown as business is about to pickup.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
When someone like the Abomination makes an appearance, you can bet the Avengers will be in on it. Normally, the Hulk would be expected to deal with his ilk, unfortunately, Dr. Banner has more pressing priorities at the moment. So the streak rushing into action in the sky is Captain Marvel, "you know," she flippantly remarks, "I've heard that unlike the Hulk, you're supposed to be smart, so why attack a city with the highest concentration of superheroes?" It's a legit question, while her fists glow brightly with photon energy. Drawing attention to herself is usually Carol's go to step 1, minimize civillian casualties and damage. At least she can be a good dance partner for that level of threat.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Both Abomination and Johnny both look up to the Super-heroine that graces the skies, though Johnny smiles at the back up, he turns his head back to Abomination... and begins his transformation.

Eyes blaze ( hah! puns) like Hellfire as his face and flesh seems to quite literally burn to embers, like a wild inferno as it fades like paper set in a hot fire. muscles fade...until only bone remains, eternally alit with the flames of Hell.

Ghost Rider has awakened..and for now at least, Johnny was in partial control with Zarathos, the Spirit of Vengeance.

Nevertheless, Abomination keeps his sole attention on Marvel, barking at her. "Hah! I want to break things, so I break! Not even you will stop me!" those guns gone in on Marvel...before Ghost Rider punches Abomination right in the mouth, bringing the monster to a knee as gunfire rings out in equal measure against Ghost Rider and Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"I think one of the folks here is not just an innocent bystander," Carol remarks as Johnny goes through his hellish transformation, "I think you took on more than you can chew," she adds as she goes into evasive maneuvers around the shots fired her way, the glow spreading from her fists all over her body. "You know, if you promise to stand down, I promise not to hurt you..." she keeps talking, keeps drawing attention to herself, hoping to provide an opening for Ghost Rider to do his thing.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Abomination //actually// spits out blood..but Ghost Rider not even flinching as bullets ping off of him and the blow he dealt to Abomination //while// Captain Marvel effortlessly dodges the bullets fired upon her...well, it all enraged the creature. "I'll tear you to pieces!!

Abomination leaps at Danvers!! as if with intention to smash her (obviously) before a chain is wrapped around Abominations leg. the cause? Ghost Rider as he brings him back down for a forceful impact! but now...it's time for Marvel to do some damage, so Ghost Rider works on crowd control.

Without Igniting the chain, the Spirit of Vengeance swings that bladed chain in reverse for non-lethal combat...swinging it at the enemy gunmen and severely starting to thin their ranks.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"You don't know a lot about me do you...?" Captain Marvel asks, incredulously, as Abomination chooses to leap after her even as Ghost Rider's chain holds him back. She doesn't delay much, instead she showers Abomination with a twin surge of photon blasts, all the while flying upwards to give him more and more of the devastative energy, should he choose to try and keep pursuit.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
The Abomination is showered with blow after blow after blow of those Photon blasts, each one seemingly digging him deeper and deeper into the ground before anger just makes him stronger. He roars upwards at Captain Marvel and claps his hands! sending a viscous shockwave towards Danvers to try and bring her down!

Meanwhile , The Ghost Rider is taking care of business. though a shotgun blast finds purchase in the Hellhunter's Head, the Rider is unfazed, and proceeds to punch him with such force that it knocks him out! with only a few Gunmen left, even Abomination questions retreat...

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"Oooh, are you angry now?" Marvel asks, staring down at Abomination as he leaps up towards her, but as he sends the shockwave, she doesn't evade, instead she remains directly in its path. Her glowing aura intensifying as the kinetic energy smacks against her, fueling her power instead of hurting, as her eyes shift from blue to searing white. "Thanks for the juice," she quips, and now flies directly into Abomination, delivering a swift array of photon powered sparklefists, empowered by Abomination's own shockwave attack.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Soon enough, every single gunman is down and KO'ed...some of them maimed, but alive. but Ghost Rider snaps his head to the thunderous sound of Marvel beating Abomination to the ground.

With Abomination already stunned from previous attacks? he goes down easily from her onslaught, the team of Blaze and Danvers taking down the threat. With a glance to Marvel, she'll see him revert back to Johnny Blaze, fire extinguished and flesh healing over that bare skull to perfection...like he never transformed at all.

The heroes saved the day..and New York is grateful.
