Cast of Characters: Thor, Kid, Ekaterina Vespucci

Thor has posed:
Dreariness hangs like a pall over the city with the steady drizzle of rain from large grey clouds that rest low over the skyline. Just a sheen of mist that casts a hint of a gleam on the streets, the sidewalks, the windows of the many tall buildings. But here, in the Upper East Side, at St. Catherine's Park the grass seems to come alive and beyond out upon the river the white caps from the larger than normal waves all add an air of vibrance to the surroundings.
This time of the evening the traffic noise is muted, much of it blocked by the many trees and the sculptures there. But there's the occasional errant call of a seagull or the clang of a buoy far off. The lights of various ships travelling up and down the river can be seen, and beyond them are the lights of Jersey as well as the traffic across the bridge some ways to the north.
In the park itself there are relatively few people. A handful of couples walking along the cement paths. Umbrellas are held aloft to protect against the elements, and at times a person on a bike might ride past. But other than that it is fairly low traffic, and the people tend to keep to themselves. Though one figure might be worthy of some measure of remark. Though his clothes are muted, and wet from the weather, he stands near the railing that borders on the river. Umbrella in hand but not unfurled for use, he protects himself from the rain by the hood of his jacket pulled up over his head.

Kid has posed:
The dreary weather sometimes makes things better for folks, sometimes worse. It hard to say many days. Walking along the path was the large gorilla known as Kid, folks didn't pay him any mind...at least no up close. Just the occasional photosnap from afar. He was fine with that as water beaded on his fur and brow, occasionly dripping off.
Kid looked up to the clouds briefly, recalling memories of frost giants appearing from some stray minds that visted the park. But didn't linger long as he continued on.
The normally aggressive gorilla...was as calm as the rain this day. He soon nears the imposing figure, and joins him at the railing, leaning agaist it to look at the river and the boats. There was alot to think about.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Under a very large umbrella stands a small girl that Kid might recognise from the rooftop. She is painting a very accurate picture of the damage - her large cornflower blue eyes the most captivating thing about the girl's angelic little face. Her superpowered eyes detect every last detail of the scene and despite poor lighting she seems to be capturing every last detail of the scene almost a 4k screen on canvas butr with even more detail. How could an ordinary human paint this? Well more than a few people who have not notice Kid are heavily focused on the girl and her artwork.

Thor has posed:
As for the tall man, he turns and glances sidelong towards the gorilla. Under the hood the bearded blonde man has a single strapless eyepatch that might well mark him for who he is, or who others might think him to be. He tilts his head down as the umbrella in his hand makes a faint /whom/ sound that's subtle but might prey at the edge of perception.
From him it's to the youth who takes her time depicting the image before her on that canvas. A curious scene, the glance given from one to the other. He cocks an eyebrow and then lifts his voice, "I would be remiss if I did not mention that this is not the safest place to seek introspection." His voice is clear, strong, perhaps a touch bombastic and presumptuous though not in a conscious way.
He pushes off the railing, though some distance down the way from it the metal curving bars had been mangled by the aggression of the frost giants. "Twould likely be best to draw your inspiration from matters more gentle."

Kid has posed:
"Where is?" Kid signs, his watch speaking in his place. Him and safe did not go hand in hand. He wasn't particularly aggressive this day. "Does not matter much where you go, danger gonna follow in some form. Still, guessing you know what happened here?" he rolls his shoulders indeed there was some introspection going on. He recognized Thor certainly...but said nothing about it. Perhaps the fella didn't care to be revealed himself.
Though he glance at the twisted railing bars. Giants where something else, he wouldn't mind eeing them. None the less he turns and leans his back to the railing now, eyeing the picture Ekaterina was making. He watches for a moment before signing "Why would it best?" he asks "Gentle or rough, does it matter?" he was merely curiouse now.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat looks up from her work and offers the large Asgardian a sweet smile, "I think I will be okay. The Frosty blue monsters are gone are they not?" she asks - but knows the answer hence the tone of the asking. "You look familiar. Were you ever on a milk carton?" The small girl asks. As adorable as she appears there is something slightly off about the woman.

She appears happy to see Kid whom she apparently knows. "Are you still an avid astronomer my friend? She asks stopping her work.

Thor has posed:
Strong arms fold across his broad chest as the Thunderer looks between the two others who have found this place in the night. He answers Kid even as he looks to both of them there, "It is one thing to accept one's fate, another to tempt it." Such is the answer granted, though it assuredly does not seem to illuminate matters. Instead he chews the inside of his cheek thoughtfully and lets his consideration flit between them.

Kid has posed:
Kid nose flares as he signs "One night of stargazing is hardly grounds to be called a friend. But guess if you wish to think me an astrononmer you can" he didn't seem to care eitherway. The stars were a comfort sure, but not his life.
He eyes Thor and signs his reply "I rather tempt than accept, rather fight than sit back, and should death take me tommorow or even right now, than I hope I lived what I could to the fullest." his movement were slow...thoughtful even. "Still, why you here big guy? Something tells me you didn't come to just warn people it ain't safe here"

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
The small girl raises an eyebrow at Thor and interjects her introduction, "Sono la contessa Ekaterina Vespucci," she says in Italian but reverts back to english. "But everyone including the lowliest of my employees calls me Kat." To kid she asks, "How do you know that that isn't all the man here is doing. There are not enough professional warners - too often only signs and tape are left at the site of hazards. Maybe the city decided that each new disaster might need a human touch."

Thor has posed:
For some reason the words Kid offers to him might seem to strike a sour chord, as if the sentiment resonated with earlier words shared between others. He shakes his head and offers no further comment on that philosophy at the least. Instead he says simply as he looks between the two of them. "I am Thor, Odinson." He gestures with the umbrella behind him as he waves it to the side, even as the rain continues to lightly patter upon the ground and around them, catching his features now that his hooded head is turned against the wind.
"My intentions are my own, suffice it to say that ill matters came to the fore here and to linger without due reason is to court an ill end." Another shift to look at Kid, then back to Ekaterina. "If such is your intention, far be it for me to stand in thine way."

Kid has posed:
"I do not, hence why I asked" he signs to Ekaterina. He doesn't mention Thor is far from human. But than when thor mentions his own name, than he probably didn't need too. He raises an eyebrow in regards to employers...but signs nothing. He looks back to the river. He felt...the sourness from Thor, he doesn't know why it there...but he doesn't venture to ask. He didn't exactly put his best foot forward when he first met the man. He signs "...Jua Madala, but you can just call me Kid if yea like." a shrug before he signs "Well, I do linger for a reason. So guess I ain't inviting misfortune." he tries a smile, perhaps it was an attempt at humor.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"No waaay! Thor Odinson. Now I have met Frank Castle, Wonderwoman, Superman Red Robin, Batman, Catwoman, a Violet Lantern. I'm on my way to a full set of real life action figures," Kat observes. "Thanks for talking to me," she says effusively. Looks like before she was approached she was quite lonely. She smiles at the gorilla as well. Just as grateful for his company apparently.

Thor has posed:
"Mmm," Is all it seems likely that Thor will answer even as he gives them both a nod. "A pleasure, Contessa." He offers at the least though his expression is not exactly too terribly approachable. He swirls the umbrella once, as if a nervous gesture and then he gives a nod in turn to each of them. "In any case, I would not linger. It is unlikely that this place may be targeted again, but there may be some reason why it has been in the past that has slipped beyond my ken. For now if safety is not at the forefront of your thoughts, then let no shadow fall upon my actions.
That said he gives a nod and starts to step away, "Until another time," He begins to move down the sidewalk.

Kid has posed:
Kid merely grunts. And signs "Right. Another time." he had his doubts. But than again, the extrodinary had a tendency to throw a tantrum and toss would be folks togeather. He glances to Ekaterina, finding her statement...odd to say the least. He let out a deep growl and turns back to the river to watch it....before going to check out the mangled railing, curiosity getting the better of him.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Bye then," Kat says waving dejectedly - but still happy for having met someone famous again. She watches Kid proceed to do his slow inspection and returns to her painting.
