Late Night in Gotham

Synopsis:	Red Robin meets Spoiler.

Red Robin has posed:
Old Gotham, not the most luxurious place in the city to be, or even a place where people in general want to be, though, it is where a certain vigilante has decided to focus his efforts for the night.

Red Robin overlooks the main street in this run down part of town from a rooftop, his lense covered eyes look out at the city as he looks to his wrist mounted computer, crime alley has been a hotspot for the past two hours, three muggings and a drug deal, of course, all have failed, but still, they never learn.

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler had not been out on a 'real' patrol in almost two months. The new job Steph had gotten had been keeping her beyond busy. It was a great job with great perks. But so far she had been far more focused on keeping the job, maintaining her course load at Gotham U up to expectations and sleeping to find time to go out as Spoiler.

Not tonight! Tonight was gonna be different. The urge to go run the rooftops looking for two-bit criminals to take down was so strong it made her teeth itch. And so Stephanie had to heed The Call.

Ditching her bike behind a small shed in a back alley, Spoiler made her way up to the rooftops not far from where Red Robin had taken up station. Not that she knows this yet. Other than Batman and Batwoman, she hadn't run into any of the other vigilanties and heroes of Gotham for quite some time, if ever.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin looks down at his computer screen, well, the drone feed anyway and frowns. Slipping into the shadows he moves from one roof to the other and stops as he takes note of Spoiler. Remembering her in the bat-files, he steps from the shadows, his voice modulator working as it should. "I see we have a rookie out tonight." he says with a bit of mirth in his voice as he looks her over. "I think you missed most of the fun, better to start fifteen minutes after sundown, than close to midnight."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler had been standing at the roof's edge and turned at the voice. "Rookie? Just because you've never run into me doesn't make me a rookie. I'm more of a sophomore thank you very much." Her cape swirls around her legs and ankles. She's also saved up enough to upgrade her costume and equipment even. Hamilton Arms has paid Steph quite well in her position as Kate Kane's personal assistant. Just not enough to quite figure out how to buy all the kevlar and composite armor she had determined was needed to make Spoiler less prone to grievous injuries.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin chuckles. "Oh? well then, let's see your work first hand then." he says as he points to one of the alley ways. "Drug deal in progress, though, thease particular lowlifes also like robbing their customers, let's see how you do." He says, content to watch her work.

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler rolls her eyes. "That's very juvenille of you. Batman hasn't even been that demeaning to me." And with that she drops down to perch on a small roof where the building had been added on to. Crouched there she watched for a moment then pulled out a collapsalbe staff with her right hand, pressing the button to expand both sides.

As the deal goes sour and the dealer decides to rob the hapless junkie she throws down a trio of smoke pellets - these she'd already upgraded thanks to some advice from Batwoman. (Dear Diary: Why is it that whenever men play dressed up vigilante they get into pissing contests over who can do it better. And heaven help you if you're female. They feel totally threatened and revert to Tween-aged school yard antagonism.)

Dropping down into the smoke cloud, she immediately went for the drug dealer to disarm him of his firearm and then moved to try and take him down.

Red Robin has posed:
Watching with a critical eye, he gives a frown. "And it's not being demeaning, this is dangerous work, and it only get's more dangerous, might want to keep those feelings in check, else you could make a fatal mistake." He says as he waits for her to finish up. "Pretty good." he says as he pushes a button on his wrist com, landing to have a look at the delt with drug dealers, and turning on the buyers. "Save your money, this stuff will kill you." he says before grappeling back to the roof top.

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler rolls her eyes again. "Okay. Whatever you say. Thanks, dad." She turns and makes her way toward another building before ascending again, muttering under her breath, "Just out looking to help and the World's Most Unhelpful Boy Scout just /had/ t'show up.." Reaching the roof she began to move away from the area and away from red Robin.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin shakes his head and moves off in the other direction. "Newbies..." He says making a small stop at Crime alley before vanishing into the night once more.
