Date of Scene: 22 September 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Ekaterina Vespucci, Gamora, Shadow

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
It's ladies night at Ekaterina Vespucci's club Aeterna. The club is moderately busy. It is one of the rare nights also when the clubs owner the Contessa or Lady Artifice was present in her own club. She's at a lonely corner of the bar dressed in a black dress showing her curves and a delectable degree of decolletage. Usually Ekaterina or Kat as she prefers dresses down in winterwear that she swims in covering her figure completely. She is short with an angelic face and large cornflower blue eyes that many find to be her most appealing feature. She looks to be in her 20s. If this wasn't her establishment she would probably get carded at the bar.

Kat orders a Long Island Ice tea as she sits and listens to the soft Jazz music she has playing in the background. The club doubles as a gallery - Kat using it as a place to sell art outside of her commercial gallery. There is a restraunt, dancefloor and of course a fully stocked bar.

Gamora has posed:
Thanagarians, A crude Bounty Hunter, and a stolen... ahem... aquired ship, Gamora has had quite the week thus far. Luckily, her star drive on that ship she... has... was able to make a stop at earth, on her way bac kto Knowhere. Having had to buy a new outfit (getting money by handing over a very rare metal.. on earth.) She walks in wearing a black blouse and black overshirt, and a mid thigh black skirt with a studded belt and calf high boots. Her green skin and colored hair easily mark her as 'not human'. Maybe a Mutant, a tough statuesque mutant that doesn;t get carded, and makes her way to the bar. "Black hole... wait you wouldn't have that... Dry martini." She says, trying to remember an earth drink quill was talking about. "Shaken not stirred." Well, that's how Quill said you should order one anyway, if he is wrong.. she will have to beat the truth out of him.

Shadow has posed:
One of the (admittedly, minor) downsides of being a somewhat public figure is having to watch out for paparazzi dogging your steps hoping to get a scoop on your social life to sell to the nearest tabloid.

Natasha has a more effective countermeasure to them than most of her social peers, but even so she prefers to relax in places that place a sufficient value on privacy and discretion that she doesn't /need/ to use them, except on her way in. The fact that nobody really notices one more nondescript taxicab helps as well, of course, and in sleek leather pants and a loose black satin shirt she doesn't resemble her public persona very much.

She slips a gratuity into the bouncer's hand as he waves her through, then makes her own way to the bar where she arrives just in time to hear Gamora place her order, and raises an eyebrow at the green-skinned woman.

"... Hmm. I'm seeing two, maybe three possibilities here. One, you are a great deal younger than you look and you've never been to a bar before... But then you'd also be too young to have seen those movies. Two, you've led a surprisingly sheltered life and this is still your first visit to a club... But you're /entirely/ too much at ease here. Three... You're at least as mature as you look, and you're entirely at home in a bar or club... But your only link to /earth/ culture is via a particular series of movies."

She tilts her head and smiles. "Tell me if I'm warm," she teases, then turns to look at the bartender. "Cancel that order before the lady does herself a disservice, and bring over... Hmm. Two shots of Bourbon, for starters."

She turns back to Gamora. "It is of course entirely possible you'd wind up actually /liking/ a Martini, but only the utterly pretentious or the most masochistic fans will order /that/ particular combination..."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat looks up at what is transpiring in front of her arching her brow.

"Kat," says the girl behind the bar. "We are running out of champagne."

Kat looks up at the attractive blonde bartender before replying, "On ladies night no less? This is a nightmare. Is there anywhere we can go to buy it on bulk at this time of the evening?" she asks the bartender.

"I suppose I should talk to Rick the manager," the bartender disappears. Kat goes behind the bar to replace her.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora turns to look at the woman adressing her, and who actualy canceld her order, oh well, this 'Bourbon' couldent be as bad, heck, if her friends are to be beleived, the stuff she drinks would be a 'dare' on earth. Sour Green, Black Holes, asguardian fire water, and Galactis' tears (that one stings) are her prefered drinks. Looking over the woman, she tilts her head. "Almost had it on the third one, My only link to earth is a misplaced terran redeemed space pirate who will sleep with anything, and no, I have not slept with him." She says. "Do you make it ha habit of approaching Aliens? I admire your courage." She says with a smile. She looks to Kat, who is now behind the bar, a raised eyebrow before turning her head back to Natasha. "By the way, I'm Gamora... you can call me Gamora." She says, if it was a joke her deadpan delivering and stoic face don't show it. She does down the drink without even a flinch. "Need somthing stronger, this is too sweet." She then waves to the bartender. "Strongest drink you have, I don;t wanna limp away from this bar." She says, her attempt to be funny, yet again, though it comes out as boastful and confident.

Shadow has posed:
"You may call me Natasha," the dark-haired woman replies with a smile of her own. "And as a matter of fact, I've... approached... Every single alien I've encountered personally so far." She chuckles as she takes her shot. "And I suppose habits need to start somehow, don't they?"

She sets the glass down again with practiced ease, leaning back slightly to watch what Gamora decides to put away next.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"I would suggest abisinthe," says Kat. "Sono la Contessa Ekaterina Vespucci," she introduces herself in Italian. "But everyone calls me Kat - I am the owner - so if there is anything you ladies require then please do not hesitate to ask." The Contessa was a notorious underworld figure and this kid was claiming to be her. To any observer Kat was waaaay too young.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora nods and once the drink is passed to her, she downs that as well. "Better, but still weak, anything stronger?" She asks as she sets the empty shotglass down. She looks to Natasha and offers a smile. "Well, if you keep being cute, you might end up in bed with every alien you've approached." She says with a smile, yeah, she might not be as flirty as some people, but when she has an eye on someone, it;s not hard for her to let those small flirty words to slip out.

Shadow has posed:
Natasha laughs at that, but it's a warm laugh - no mockery, cruelty or spite, just the warm delighted tones of someone who's suddenly heard something amusing. "On the very first date? Are you in the habit of flirting with every woman you encounter on an unfamiliar planet?" she replies, clearly teasing, but somehow without malice, then turns to look at Ekaterina, eyebrow raising in surprise.

"... Signorina Contessa, buonasera" she replies in the same language with barely a trace of a Swiss accent, then switches back to English. "I must say the stories told of you fail to do you justice..."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Alien?" Kat says, "Well I do believe its a first for me meeting an alien. Unless you count the kryptonian I met in Metropolis." She smiles at the women sweetly noticing the flirt she begins to move give Gamora and Natasha some space. No need to be a third wheel here. But then Natasha addresses her.

"Stories of me?" Kat asks. In truth she had been doing her utmost to fly beneath the radar. Very few people knew what she even looks like.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora blinks and tilts her head at kat. "You have a Kyrptionian here... I thought their planet was destroyed, some mining accident.. or was it a cival war... Easy enough for them to assimilate anyway, they look like terrans, and asguardians, and a whole host of other species." She says offhandedly, and finaly gets this drink called everclear, it looks like water. "Not every woman, and not every planet, I'm picky." Which is a compliment, and once she takes that drink, she widens her eyes just abit. "Thats... not water..." Offhandedly, she does understand the itallian, that universal translator in her head is a wonderful device, sadly, she can;t speak this new language, only a handful of space languages, glad that english is one of them.

Shadow has posed:
Natasha smiles at Kat. "There are always stories where women of wealth or power or both are concerned," she points out. "When I feel less than charitable I suspect it is because most men's worldviews can't accept the idea of a woman rising this far /without/ some 'unfair' advantage..."

She tosses back her second shot of Bourbon, then smiles at Gamora. "No, no it isn't - and I'm afraid you won't see me drinking it. I sometimes think the name was chosen deliberately as a pun and a warning all at once."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Oh yes a few Kryptonians - this one is called Superman. Very charming. A real boyscout. He rescued me from a Bank robbery." Kat smiles sweetly at Gamora as she explains.

"I have quite a few unfair advantages. I started off with quite a bit of money for example. But I am not a member of the idle rich. I own a security firm several commercial galleries and a charity soup kitchen. I also teach Art History at the local community college here. You can see some of my students work up on the walls." Kat is a busy little bee.

Gamora has posed:
"Males... they would forget to breathe if it wasn't programmed into what little brains they have." She says as she orders a beer this time, somthing bitter. "They talk of a glass ceiling, but there is no such thing. I'm the deadliest person in the galaxy." Well, since the talk of their 'work' is concerned, she might chime in on that part. "You both are now safer than you've ever been." it's not a boast, it's the truth. She could go toe to toe with any named 'god' and probably win.

Shadow has posed:
"I'm pleased to hear it," Natasha replies without a trace of irony or insincerity. "If I may ask, what brings one of the galaxy's deadliest warriors to our humble little planet?"

After all, the point has been made more than once by extraterrestrials with varying levels of tact that Earth is generally considered something of a backwater world, albeit one with a disproportionate number of anomalies sometimes...

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat swallows a bit as Gamora states her qualifications looking a bit on the nervous side. She finishes her Long Island Iced tea and says sothing bland like, "Well it is good to be safe... I guess."

"Can I get you ladies anything else maybe some food?"

Gamora has posed:
"I had to escape a ship full of... bird men with sticks up their butts. I aquired one of their ships, and decided to stop here on my way home." Gamora leaves out the part that Lobo probably wont be her,e hoping his attention span is weak and he can forget about her, last thing she needs is to attempt to kill a Czarian. "It is good to be save Kat, you are too sweet to kill, and natasha is too cute to kill." She says, though then the topic of food is brought up. "The only earth food I've had has been this Mak-un-cheeze, and Ramen noodles. though, if my, crewmate eats it, I doubt it's high quallity." She says, yeah, her crewmates are good for alot of things, but ettiquette isn;t one of those things, the biggest idiots in the galaxy, but they are her idiots.

Shadow has posed:
Natasha smiles. "Does that mean I'm not sweet, or that Ekaterin isn't cute?" she teases, then when Gamora mentions those foods her expression takes on the polite neutrality of someone who knows it's impolite to make a face in decent company, but who really wants to. "... Both of those can be prepared well, but they're more commonly regarded as 'comfort food', or when one is on a tight budget or in too much of a hurry to prepare or purchase anything better."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Well that's good to know," Kat says with something of a strangled voice. If she is a crimelord she does seem awfully nervous around admitted killers. Or maybe it's an act? This is unlikely as at a glance one can tell Kat has no poker face. You don't need to be a telepath to read her mind. It's all there on her sweet little face.

Kat orders some small eats over the phone. "You might... like these she says smiling helplessly at Gamora and Natasha.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora blinks and smiles. "Well, I'm not adverse to tryin somthing new, this beer is pretty good.. Heinekin... I like it." She says, maybe one day, she can share some food from knowhere with thease ladies. She then looks to Nat and smiles. "One can be both, but I prefer to point out one's strong points." She says and to prove it, leans forward and places a kiss on Nat's lips, it's not anything overly romantic, more like somthing abit longer than a peck.

Shadow has posed:
Natasha blinks in surprise at the unexpected kiss, then smiles back at Gamora, a slight blush on her cheeks. "... Well, that's certainly interesting," she admits, then turns to look at Ekaterin. "Are you quite all right, Contessa?" she asks.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"I'll just be over here and leave you two alone - looks like you might want some privacy," Kat says smiling sweetly and goes over to the other end of the bar. "Oh um..." Kat says to Natasha, "Just call me Kat."

Gamora has posed:
Gamora smiles at Natasha and gives a sly wink. "There's more where that came from." She says, as she finishes her drink. Placeing a credit card on the bar, the name on the card being Bambi Long, she smiles. "All the drinks on me." She says and tilts her head at nat. "So, are you still curious?" She asks with a smile to the other woman at the bar.

Shadow has posed:
Natasha chuckles at Gamora while offering a brief wave to Ekaterin. "Oh, I'm always interested in seeing new experiences," she replies, raising a brief eyebrow at the name on the card.

"Do you often go into clubs on new worlds to find a girl and a good time?" she asks, half-teasingly.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora smiles at Natasha after her tab is paid for and writes a note, it;s hteh otel and room number she is staying in, because she will not sleep in a cockpit of a fighter ship. The writing is rather alien, but the numbers and name are there and legible. "If you are still interested." She says before she slips from the bar and out the door.
