A Meeting of Daughters
Date of Scene: 03 November 2018
Location: Space
Synopsis: Sindr is 'killed', the war goes on.
Cast of Characters: Sindr, Gamora
Tinyplot: Burning Host

Sindr has posed:
Some time after the fight between Sindr, Drax and Power Girl, inspections of the place she fell reveal that she is 'gone'. From that alone, it could be surmised she is dead, or if one takes the absence of a body as a sign, that she is at least no longer where she stopped moving down into the planet crust.

It's away from that, listening to her troops talk about their Queen, that her survival is discovered along with her location. Apparently she's taking up residence at a nearby city where the fighting is all but concluded.

It's largely quieted down in said city; there's some resistance fighting but most of that has been quelled. The civilians, at least, are by and large unharmed and able to pick up their lives. Rebuilding will come later, perhaps. There are patrols; heavier than a calm occupation, but not terribly so.

Gamora has posed:
Running in with a team can get quite noisey, though, one assassin, an affinity for getting where she needs to be, though, isn't allowed, and a weapons harness strapped to the teeth make the most dangerous woman in the galaxy now also, the heaviest armed woman in the galaxy as well.

Gamora shows up in the throne room of whatever building Sinder is in, purple cloak drawn back from her head as she casts her yellow eyes down at Sindr from a tall window. "Stop the occupation, or what the kryptonian did to you will be a sweet dream to the oblitheration I bring."

Gamora then leaps from the window to make a three point land, her sword out and twirls as she stands up. "I am Gamora, Daughter of Thanos, killer of the magus, and Guardian of the Galaxy."

Sindr has posed:
Sindr is caught lounging on an actual throne that seems to be made entirely of flame. There is a faint smirk flashed as she's addressed so bluntly, and she responds, "And I am Sindr, Daughter of Surtur and Queen of Muspelheim. I have come to conquer this... system, I believe you call it... fighting me will not accomplish what you're asking. My troops will continue to fight, and these people will be conquered."

She rises, her motions languid, though Gamora is likely able to discern that she is far from being treated dismissively. Sindr is ready for a fight.

A blade erupts into being, also formed entirely of flame and thunks tip first solidly into the floor. Sindr rests her hand upon it, fingers stroking the pommel with a familiar - almost fond - motion. She muses then, "I wonder..." trailing off as she looks Gamora over.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora looks upan the woman and smirks. "There is nothing you could offer me to take over worlds for you, I know what your father did to Asgard, and you will not do the same to terra." She says as her free hand shoots out, tossing a few mechanical disks at the sword, upan impact they would burst into a hard foam, used to put out fire. Thats followed by her kinetic heat shield being turned on as she charges at Sindr, leaping into the air as she brings godslayer down.

Speaking of Fathers, mine taught me to kill gods, you, are not a god."

Sindr has posed:
The foam encases the blade, but it seems to continue existing. Sindr, however, leaves it there and has another in hand by the time Gamora reaches her. "Then you may be ill equipped for this, God-killer."

Her own blade, crafted of Muspel-fire and Will, may not react as Gamora expect. In spite of being fire, it is just as solid as the throne appears to be. Sindr lifts it to block the first strike.

She uses her tail in an attempt to sweep Gamora away - preferably into a wall - timed for the moment contact is made with the blades.

"Indeed. Speaking of Fathers - I am not mine. Are you?"

Gamora has posed:
Godslayer is a blade on par with Wonder Woman's sword, and so, it starts to cut through the firey blade before Sindr get's a lucky hit to the assassin. (Lucky in Gamora's mind anyway.)

That tail hit was painful, and one could feel a tendon or two snap. As the Green Warrior lands againsdt the wall, before landing on the ground, she simple tosses her arm out, and it snaps back into place, in time for her to grab a rifle from her back which she starts to fire right at Sindr, it;s not a slug thrower or a heated plasma gun, but a kinetic blast gun.

Sindr has posed:
Fortunate for Sindr as well, since now she can form her tactics around this information. Oh, a gun. How quaint! She gets hit by the first blast, and Gamora is likely to notice the well schooled frown on her face. A shield is quickly formed of the flames, interposed between herself and the blasts of kinetic energy.

In return, Sindr flings a burning spear at the green woman - solid enough to inflict damage even if it doesn't get to set Gamora on fire as well.

"You are well trained, Thanos-dottr! Indeed, I have been /blessed/ with worthy foes since arriving here!"

Gamora has posed:
A not very happy look on her face as she dodges the fire spear. Gamora then slams her sword point down into the floor of the throne room, causing the floor to crack in an outward Patter, before she picks up peices of the floor anf starts to hurl them at Sindr, aiming for the woman's face.

It looks like a Futile effort, to some, but then a javelin made of Kolveria steel is launched from the ceiling at Sindr's tail, and once more Gamora comes down with godslayer in both hands.

Sindr has posed:
So there's all the plinking of rocks that Sindr deflects with that shield of hers, so she's sufficiently distracted when the spear comes from the ceiling - and frankly, that's a rather unexpected thing to happen. "ARGH!" bellows the giantess, since her tail isn't exactly the toughest part of
=her body.

Still, the spear doesn't quite pin her down, nor is it enough to put her entirely off-guard when the assassin comes for her again with that blade of hers. Only this time, instead of meeting it head on, the shield is used at an angle to deflect the attack rather than block it.

Another blade is formed in Sindr's hand, thrust at Gamora under the shield and timed with the woman's landing. "Why? I don't regret my fortune, but why do so many crawl from under their rocks to defend this world from me? Raethon, Terra, whatever it's called."

Gamora has posed:
"A child's trick." Gamora says about the blade comming from under the shield to get her, as she uses that fire protective energy shield to allow her to place a foot on the blade and bound over the Shield, putting her legs around Sindr's neck and poising her blade right above an eye. "I can heal from being burned, can you regrow an eye?" She says as her landing on the woman's shoulders (Facing her) was with the force of 100 tones, her full strength capacity it seams, the green daughter of thanos has gotten serious.

Sindr has posed:
Sindr is no weakling herself, and abandoning her weapons to defend against this new attack, she reaches up to grab Gamora's forearms. "We clarified this; I am no god, and you are ill equipped." she replies.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora's legs tighten around sindr's throat, and she frowns. "Ill equipped is a strong word, and it looks like I'm going to crush your firey neck, be glad, there are others who could die for somthing like this... well... you'll die too." She says as she let's go of godslayer and then headbutts the pommel, aiming it right for sindr's head. "You are pretty enough, I could have bedded you in another life."

Sindr has posed:
That invokes laughter. Loud, boisterous laughter the sort worthy of the norse gods enjoying a feast celebrating their latest battle.

The blade strikes home, and Sindr's grip on Gamora doesn't let up. Flame erupts, flowing through the room like a destructive tidalwave.

*WOOOSH* *BOOOOOOM*

Another glowing hot crater is left where Sindr was, and unfortunately for Gamora burns aren't all she has to deal with. At least some of this building is coming down too.

As the last of the flames flicker away, there's a voice, "See you soon, Thanos-dottr." fading into the ether.

Gamora has posed:
Gamora raises a hand up to see how bad the burns are, yep, metallic bone underneath, pretty damaging. "Pretty Fire, why are the pretty ones crazy?" She asks as she picks up godslayer and turns to make a mad dash out of the building, bowling over minions and guards as she does, they ARE child's play, even in her burned weak state of health. Well, 100k credits is 100k credits.

Sindr has posed:
It's pretty much a mad dash to evacuate the building. Some folks probably aren't going to make it anyway.

Some /really/ diehard enthusiasts have to be taken care of along the way, but they're not really a match for Gamora. She'll escape easily.

Gamora has posed:
A credit chip in a civilian;s hand and a new, yet ragged, cloak later and Gamora is walking out of the city dressed like a civilian, and heading back to the Milano, a good day's rest and she will be fine.
