Cast of Characters: Shadowlite, Darcy Lewis

Shadowlite has posed:
Most of SHIELD hasn't heard from Shadowlite in months. Why that is, nobody knows. He's keeping up with the contact information, but he's not been responding to contract offers for a while.

That radio silence was broken with the latest few offers; SHIELD could use more boots on the ground, but logistics is also looking for his specific talents. He's a known Darkforce using mutant, and has the ability to send large amounts of personnel and material clear across cities almost instantly... making him a supply divisions dream asset. He's also not bad in a fight and knows how to use Darkforce in versatile ways, making him capable of defending himself.

Tonight, the black clad mercenary has portaled into a closet nearby the office Darcy uses, and knocks on the door before he enters. In the light, Darcy can see herself reflected in the goggles Shadowlite wears, "Friendly neighborhood truck jockey reporting in." The modulated voice of Shadowlite quips, "I heard you're looking for supply help, and I've decided to take the job. Where do you need me?" The mercenary closes the door behind him and crosses his arms as he stands just a few feet from it, watching her.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"AH! Shit! Fucking Zobie Monkey Jesus on a stick! Warn a girl!" Darcy exclaims as the closet door opens and some guy in black with goggles steps out. She'd had her back to the closet door, not expecting anyone to use it as an entrance.

"Fuck. And use the goddamn front door like everyone else! Shit. Go out into the hall, count to ten, then walk back in through the fucking door so i can get my heart to calm teh fuck down. Shit, man!"

Shadowlite has posed:
As Darcy goes on her surprised rant, Shadowlite stands there, entirely unfazed. Then. When she's done... she can almost see the smile on his face as he replies, "sure. I can do that." He does sound like he's trying to contain his amusement, at least, as he reaches out and black lightning flits here and there a few feet away from the hand. Black mist emits from that hand as a hole in reality opens, and Shadowlite steps through. A few seconds later, and the portal closes behind him, like it was never there.

Ten seconds later, and there's a knock on the /actual/ door to her office.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy watches the mutant sahdow himself out. The time is taken to compose herself so that when he knocks, she's calming setting some files on her desk.

"Come," she says, voice clear and unflustered. First he came out of the closet, now he's going to come when called. None of this is lost on Darcy.

Shadowlite has posed:
The door opens, and Shadowlite walks in, a near mirror of coming out of that closet... right down to crossing his arms. "I sometimes forget that not everyone is up to speed on how I handle most of my entrances. For what it's worth, sorry for startling you." He gives in concession. Does he mean it? It sounds sincere, at least.

"So I've heard you need some help with the Mexico situation. Been all over the news, that." Shadowlite offers.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Yeah. Well.... Next time, there might be a tazer involved," Darcy retorts. The grin takes most of hte sting from her words.

"Yes. Shadowlite, right? Good. We've got some relief efforts done that way, and for some items, time is critical. If you're ready to travel, I'll take you down to Staging to show you what we need moved," she says, collecting a tablet and her blazer.

Shadowlite has posed:
"Good thing I have protection on my suit, then! Looks like I need to add electrical insulation to the list." Shadowlite quips, unfazed, before he starts to walk in, the trenchcoat he wears fluttering slightly with the moment as he slips his gloves hands into it's pockets, "I don't know if you've read my dossier of stuff I've shared with Longcoat, but I can't go from here to Mexico in one jump." Shadowlite points out. One hand slides out of a pocket and waves in Mexicos general direction, before going back to it, "I'm happy to bring stuff down there for you, but I'm not a miracle worker." A beat, "in that way."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy snorts faintly, moving to the door to lead the way down to the warehouse where she's got things staged.

"I've got that you can move shit. I was told you could move shit faster than we could loading it into a plane and flying it through customs. What will you need to make the jumps happen?"

Shadowlite has posed:
"A location. Preferably one I've seen before so I can aim well. I also need to be within a Manhattens distance of that location." Shadowlite explains as they head to the warehouse. "It's a bit like extending your hand into an unknown space and hoping you don't tear through tissue paper otherwise. Things on the other end don't tend to survive ripping open reality if I put the portal right on top of it. So, I can open a portal, and people can just take things through the tunnel and exit right into the aircraft or whatever you want to use."

He snaps a finger, "The tunnel is still a bit of a walk, but it's only about ten seconds or so compared to walking across this entire building." Another pause, "I wouldn't recommend doing that, by the way. I tried it. It's a /very/ large building."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Would security feed of some buildings work? I've got some warehouses lined up for you, to get us closer to our destination. From there, we'll convey it in," Darcy says, head tilting lightly.

Shadowlite has posed:
"If I have context to know where things are, it'd work." Shadowlite confirms. "We're taking stuff from the warehouse here and loading it into planes to take down to Mexico, right?" Shadowlite inquires.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Some of it, yes. There are a few things that really shouldn't be on planes. Don't ask. You don't have the clearance," Darcy states. "How much can you move at once?"
