Date of Scene: 23 April 2019
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Darcy Lewis, Elektra

Darcy Lewis has posed:
It'd been weeks since Elektra spoke with Darcy. Weeks of radio silence, and then, a text: RAM. You. Me. Josie's. 8pm.

At 8, Darcy dropped herself into a booth nearish the back. It was the table that told people 'leave me alone with my beer and wings'. Both of which are in front of the SHIELD agent, sweat from derby practice drying on her skin, still making her hair darker at the temples. Her skate bag is on the bench next to her, taking up the space between her and the wall.

Elektra has posed:
It had been a long while - partly because there was just so much that Elektra had to tend to now that she was 'back', and partly because she'd still been trying to figure out who and what she was. In the gap of time since she last saw Darcy she'd taken up training with her old Sifu, Richard Dragon, and spent some time back on Kairos. There was the rise of the Foot clan. And she'd also been turning her thoughts to ideas of something of a gala.

>>Deal.

The text back had been succint, but affirmative. And at the assigned time, Elektra arrives. She's dressed casually, for her, in jeans and a form fitting tee - clearly having taken the time to change from work before showing up. Amused to find her 'date' a dishevelled mess and clearly quit post-practice.

With a soft chuckle, Elektra leans to place a light kiss on Darcy's cheek before taking up a seat opposite her at the table. Lips curling over amusement, "What? It's a date, is it not? It's good to see you, Darcy."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"And not our first. Are you going to pin me to the wall out in the alley or wait to get me back to your place?" Darcy retorts, having leaned into the kiss after the initial startle of someone there passed. With Elektra in her seat, Darcy pours her a beer and slides it over.

"Fuck. If I'd known, I might have shaved."

Elektra has posed:
Elektra's laugh of an answer is soft and rich and carries only within the space of the booth, "Oh, I have choices, do I?" She reaches for the beer Darcy has poured, wondering, "Did you order food? I forget, is tonight wings and beer, or pizza and beer?"

Not that both couldn't happen.

"I think I would like to cook for you some day. Or maybe take you back to Georgian Creeds." Actually, the thought of taking several people there occurs, and she tucks that away for future pondering. "It's good to see you, but I do have to say, that not shaving? Tsk. Deal breaker."

Absolutely teasing. Elektra relaxing, and taking a swallow of her beer. "Now, tell me all the things that have been happening. It's been too long."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Did she order food? Pshah! Darcy shoves the wings toward Elektra while taking one for herself to eat.

"It's a whatever the fuck kind of night. Of course you got options," Darcy chuckles. "I like being cooked for. I even wash dishes after," she adds, not really caring where they go for a 'special' night.

"Hmm... all the things? Well.. I passed my evals, so that's a thing."

Elektra has posed:
Wings are taken gratefully, even if Elektra doesn't rightly have to eat. It's the remembered things. That, as the entire point of the evening is to reconnect - something you can't do if you sit watching the other person eat.

"I remember the first time I had these," Elektra says softly, chewing and swallowing the meaty bits from a flapper. "I forget what nonsene Matt and I had gotten up to - likely no good - and he drags me in here for 'just one drink', sassing Josie like he owned the place."

Which causes her to grin to herself. "I should do that, actually.." An enigmatic statement she doesn't explain, but carries on from.

"They were both the best and worst wings I'd ever had in my entire life. I think I fell in love with this place right on the spot. It was so very different than what I was accustomed to."

Her reminiscence has her stilled a moment, then is banished with a smile for Darcy. "Passed your evaluations? I'm curious, what does someone in acquisitions do for that?"

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy falls silent and almost still as Elektra recalls memories, grins and for a moment seems almost alive again. And then Elektra smiles and Darcy rolls her shoulder in a shrug.

"Well, you know. the usual: order paperclips and reload toner cartridges," she says. It's not at all what she actually did, but it would be something she'd make her interns do.. if she were put in charge of evals... just for the shits of it.

Elektra has posed:
"So, exactly what I thought. Filing in triplicate. Beating the four-minute mile for banker's boxes retrieved from the bowels of that monstrosity of a building you work in?"

It was good to be able to joke lightly about things, and to speak freely. Before, everything was always tinged with putting people in danger, or having to be so very careful about what was aid, filtering before words even left her mouth. Not that Elektra was one to speak quite so freely as others, but this was freeing. So very freeing.

"And of course you wouldn't have mentioned it if it were merely that. So what did they have you do?"

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Shoot guns, punch people, and try to out parkour an experienced agent," Darcy admits finally, pulling another wing out of the basket for herself.

Elektra has posed:
"That's all?" A chuckle escapes the woman as she takes a moment to sip her beer before putting the glass down and reaching for another wing. "Did you enjoy yourself?"

Elektra knew that such things weren't for all people. There was a very fine line between recognizing the necessity of such things and being able to actually do them. Fewer still took matters as far as she, herself, did.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Kicking Barton's ass? Hell yes," Darcy replies. Her grin is all mischief, and even though she lost, she had fun and was more than willing to get a rematch.

Elektra has posed:
"Barton? Which one is that?"

Darcy's grin is noticed, and enjoyed. The last time she'd spent with the woman, Darcy had been upset. Elektra hadn't been certain if there would be any future moments such as this with her again. "Why can I picture you barrelling around the way you do in the Derby rink, hipchecking and otherwise causing havoc?"

In her own line of work there were no evaluations. You lived or you died. If you woke up the next day, you'd passed until the next test. Though she, herself, was now in a very grey area of that. She'd died and come back. She was neither alive nor dead currently. She merely was.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"The archer. Don't know it you met him," Darcy says, tossing back a swig of beer. Yes, she had been upset. Upset because she had to face a friend she thought was dead but wasn't any more. It was... dizzying. Now? Darcy's just rolling with it.

"Maybe because that's exactly what I did?"

Elektra has posed:
Here Elektra has to shake her head. "I'm afraid the only archer I know is one of Matt's little friends. Cute thing. Terribly young." As though Elektra herself were ancient - but then again, Kate Bishop /was/ young in many ways of the word that Elektra had never been.

"Oh, really? You know, I'm reminded that someone promised me a Derby date and never delivered on it, hrm?"

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Saturday night, then. Libetry Belles vs Gotham Knightlife. I'll get us in, you get teh concessions," Darcy says, sauce on the corner of her mouth.

Elektra has posed:
"Oh, that sounds divine," Elektra murmurs, having no clue whether or not it does, but mostly happy to see her friend enthused, and to be able to spend time with her. "Should I bring anything, or anyone?"

She'd going to have to consider looking such a thing up to find out what one actually does at such an event.

"And of course the after-party is on me."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Anyone? You wanting a threesome now? Before we've even had our first romp? My, my, RAM. Aren't you adventurous!" Darcy fires back, refilling Elektra's beer mug.

"Bring cash and be ready to keep me from getting into fisticuffs. Giggle B pisses me the fuck off, and she knows it."

Elektra has posed:
"Cash I can do," Elektra murmurs, making a mental note to make it cash, and not a card. The thought does suggest that things may not end up entirely legal, but when has that ever bothered the woman?

Surprisingly, Elektra not only accepts the refill, but drinks from it. She's not been one to more than make noises at nursing a drink in the past - always needing to be alert and aware, her life depending upon it. But since becoming Black Sky, there is no inebriated. There is no many things, though thankfully most aren't lamented in their loss.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Awesome. Pick me up from work?" Darcy asks, grabbing another wing. "And wear something... that's gonna make people wanna peel it off you. Because that'd make the after party lit as fuck."
