Cast of Characters: Carrie Kelley, Doctor Strange, Robin (Wayne)

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The last thing Damian had said before he slipped into a coma was 'Doctor Strange' which is precisely why Kestrel had ventured out of Gotham to seek the Sorcerer Supreme. It was at least a familiar place, his sanctum, as she'd been here several times before in her civilian guise. As it stood she wasn't entirely sure if she ought to reveal herself properly or not... But that mattered little at the moment in light of the situation. With her hood pulled up she approaches the door to... Knock. Like a normal person. What she had manners even if she was a bit insistant in the knocking.

Doctor Strange has posed:
The door to the sanctum does not like to be knocked upon. Or so it would seem as the door seems to retreat from Kestrel's knuckles with a hurry pull inwards. Open to the heroine, the foyer of the sanctum looms with a hat rack and umbrella bucket against one wall and a carpet that rolls out into the grand landing that is the main hub of the house.

A voice echoes through the halls, untraceable and yet close at the same time, "Who is it that seeks my aid?" And from above, silhouetted by the window of the anomaly rue, Strange floats, looking downwards to the entry way.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel doesn't seem to care much about the door pulling away all of it's own. It opens. That's the most important part as she strides inside without any hesitation though she does take care not to step on any odd designs on the floor, or bump into anything. When Strange's voice comes from overhead she tips her haed upward peering from behind her mask, beneath the edge of her hood... And her hand sweeps up to push it back and away.

"Kestrel from Gotham and Bludhaven," she offers back solemnly before just letting out a mildly exasperated sigh. "You can stop the dramatics. I was told to come get your help by..." Here she falters. Dammit, Damian.

Sighing again she rakes her hand back through her hair. "I do need your help. There was an accident with something from another dimension and now my friend is in a coma after being hit by it. Please, if you can help, he needs it."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Where is your friend now?" Stephen asks, floating rapidly to the floor, the cape at his back flairing wide in an impossible action before it lowers back down as if he was in gravity more like the moons. He looks to Kestrel, the seriousness in his face shows that he will help in any way possible as quickly as possible. Strange doesn't deny those in need.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Thank you," Kestrel lets out in a rushed breath of relief that had been held while waiting for a response. There was still no guarantee he could do anything, she knew, but this was the best chance at the moment. She trusted Damian knew what he was asking for even if she didn't just yet. "Outside in the car," she explains as she turns back toward the door and the steps only to not need to go very far.

Alfred stands there solemnly holding a tiny figured wrapped in a blanket. Kestrel steps up lifting her arms to take the burden from him with a whisper of, "I'll stay with him, I promise." Really, was there any other way to get here quickly without drawing too much attention? Besides the fancier cars that Alfred had access to also had a suitable amount of room for holding a prone figure safely.

Kestrel turns back toward Strange carrying the young boy in her arms with her expression one of worry. "I have some information on what it was that he was working with if it helps," she offers quietly.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen was following Kestrel to the car as he thought they were going to be going somewhere, but nope, turns out they're going to come back inside. "God woman, would you stop moving him around so much." Stephen says with a frown before he reaches to his shoulder and with a tap, the cloak slips off and around to create a flying table cloth for Stephen to work at.

"Put him on the cloak." Stephen orders as he begins to unwrap the bands at his wrists and tosses them to the floor behind him. His scared hands shake before his eyes for a brief moment before Strange looks to Kestrel. "Tell me everything you can. Quickly." The wizard demands.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The boy in the blanket, was Damian Wayne, give or take a number of butterfly closures on his face and body. The wounds were cleanly cut, but were still bleeding. There were signs of electrical burns, albeit minor.

Damian was unconscious, he'd been receiving infusions of blood while he had been treated. The small teen had scars around his body, just one sign he was more than what he seemed on the exterior, a life he gave up to be something better.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel winces at the scolding though she knew he was right. When the cloak goes flat she lays him out atop it gently, careful not to jostle him further than necessary. "He had been working with some red crystals from Apokalips," she explains. "Part of a flying aparatus they'd gotten ahold of. Just before it exploded he heard something, I think. I didn't hear anything... Then it blew up." Her now empty hand gestures at him in indication. "He went into a coma shortly after being injured while we worked to stop the bleeding. He asked for you first."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Apokalips." Stephen repeats and then looks to the staircase nearby and a second man is standing there, who also repeats. "Apolalips. Got it." Wong says with a hard and sharp nod before retreating up the stairs towards the library in a vigorous sprint.

Stephen then turns back to Kestrel. "I'm going to need your help, and this is going to get messy." Stephen says before he presses down on the largest wound and then orders Carrie to put her hands there so he can move on, "I'm going to seal his wounds." The wizard notes with a quick glance over his shoulder before he looks back and begins to twist his fingers and hands into odd gestures.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The bleeding had been staunched, much more than originally, but the wounds from the chaos crystal had kept him from healing properly.

When pressure is applied, the wounds do halt bleeding for a time, only to start seeping around the hands.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Whatever is needed," Kestrel says simply as she's directed to place her hands to hold. She does exactly as asked without flinching or minding the blood that seeps around her fingers wehre pressure is applied. It's his orders she's following right now, and she doesn't dare waste any time to do so. With the continued bleeding though she adds, "We've got blood for transfusions in the car along with IV equipment. Just in case."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange's hands are suddenly engulfed in a yellowish glowing aura and he presses his palms against Damian's chest and the aura starts to envelop the youngest Robin. "Damnit it." Stephen says to no one, "Stabilize damnit!" The wizard demands as he's trying to convince Damian's skin and muscle tissue to seal up as it was, even though something is incredibly off with the boy.

Strange looks up to Kestrel and barks loudly. "Go get it quick. Just the blood." Then he looks back to the staircase. "Come on Wong... I can barely keep him alive, get me what you can now." The wizard whispers to himself.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel jerks her head to the side almost tapping her ear to her shoulder in the process. "Transfusion bags, no IV," she says aloud into her comm even as she's already on the move to receive the requested items. It only takes a few moments and she's back with a small cooler. It was about the size of a transplant cooler though it was cleverly disguised with Red Sox stickers and other items making it seem more like a tailgate cooler. As soon as it's opened it looks far more high-tech than that with a temperature regulating unit inside along with several transfusion bags in the proper blood type.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Open one, he needs it quickly." Stephen says holding one hand out to suck the blood out of the opened back and coil it through the air and pushed back into Damian's body via some of the darker magics Stephen is having to cast - inversely - to get the blood to go back into the host body and he tries to hold it shut. At the same time Stephen is using his abilities to gather the shards of the alien crystal in Damian's body and he's wanting to remove them but he gets the sensation that he shouldn't and instead moves them to rest against the lower organs of Damian, and he begins to stitch the crystals back together. "WONG!? Any news yet!?" Stephen yells loudly through the house and just then the Asian man steps out and is running down with a single book. "Omega Energy Stephen. Nasty NASTY stuff." Wong reports, drawing a scowl from the wizard's face.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel does as asked tearing the bag open. Even if the back of her mind was screaming that's not how you treat blood! This was all a matter of trust. Trusting that Strange knew what he was doing, trusting that it would work for Damian. Or if not trust, then hope.

When Wong comes back mentioning the Omega energy she gives a quick, curt nod. "The crystals were power sources of some sort. I wasn't involved in investgating it myself." Reaching down to lift one of Damian's arms lightly she indicates the wound on that arm. "Those little burns have been getting worse. Could it be holding a charge still?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
Wong answers this time as he reaches out to catch Carrie's hand. "No no no! You mustn't touch." The wizard says with a frown and a shake of his head. "The omega energy is supposed to basically errupt any organic tissue it touches" Wong answers as he reads from the book to both Stephen and Carrie. "This boy is someone, or something very special." Wong notes.

Stephen frowns as he keeps the blood fused in Damian's body and keeps stitching the crystal back together in the boy's abdomen. "It feels like to me the energy from the crystal is keeping him both alive and killing him at the same time..." Stephen says pondering how to remedy this. What step needs to be taken. It reminds him of an organ transplant he saw start to go wrong once. Basically they had to sever and then reconnect the organ as if it was reset, give it a jolt to get on the right rythym. "Does the book say anything about creating or harnessing omega energy?" Stephen asks.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's body takes to the infusion well, overall he's getting better, it's the problem with the omega energy.

When observed, the areas around the burns look slightly better, then back to their original state. When the shards weave back together, the burns get better, to the point of looking very minor. The combined remnant chaos energy giving more energy to heal himself.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen takes a deep breath and sighs. "This. This is going to hurt." The wizard warns no one and himself as he lifts one hand up and away from Damian's chest before he recommends, "Step back you two. This will not be pleasant." The wizard speaks before the glow at his hand changes from golden to red and black with arcks of the same between his fingers. Then without a word Stephen presses that hand back against Damian and the whole room surges with energy and the lights all go out after a bright light errupts between the two and Stephen is sent away from the young man. Out cold.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel blinks when her hand is caught preventing her from outright touching Damian. The explanation garners a solemn nod of understanding though as her gaze flits back toward him. "He is amazing. In ways I can't say," she murmurs. It would be so easy. The Son of the Bat. Grandson of the Demon. Yadda, yadda. The titles that she knew meant so much to him in different ways. It wasn't hers to speak though.

When Stephen mentions hurting, and stepping back, she does so albiet reluctantly. "What are you going to--" Too late. It happens. Her hand lifts to block the sudden burst of light, but her mask blocks out the worst of it as it automatically darkens against it. Once it's done it comes back to regular vision allowing her to see the passed out Strange, and Damian with a small worried yelp. Was he going to fall now that Strange was out? Was Strange dead?

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The rapid infusion of omega energy both rips into Damian, and heals his wounds and burns. He gasps, and sits up suddenly.

After the initial shock of the boost, he looks around and holds his side, where the largest of the wounds was, and now, gone. In fact, all of his scars had faded. A couple blinks, and those haunting green eyes focus back and on Kestrel. "Kestrel..." Then to the Doctor. "Raven was Correct afterall." Before he shuddered, putting his fingertips to his cheek, there was no mask, nothing.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel reaches into her belt to pull out a spare mask. It wasn't Damian's own, but it was a spare one that she kept on her as Nightwing had mentioned it coming in handy on several occasions. Just in case. It's held out to Damian with a wry smile. "No names were mentioned," she says, simply, by way of apology. "Time was rather short. Are you... How do you feel?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian holds up a hand to the offered mask. He had already been seen with it. "I feel fine." Not delivered with the indignation of a defensive wounded child trying to be strong. This was surprise, considering the shape he was in before.

"It's fine, Kestrel." He stands up from the cloak of levitation, and looks himself over. Despite the black slacks with bloodstains, he looked right as rain.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel tips her head to the side with a scrutinizing gaze that runs over Damian just to ensure he really was feeling okay. "You do look all right," she has to admit thoughtfully. "Which is saying something given the amount of blood we had to give you to keep you going. You were pretty much bleeding out. Wounds weren't closing," she explains as her gaze rakes down to the spot where she'd earlier been indicating those odd electrical burns.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian gives a ponder to the situation Carrie mentioned. "I'm guessing the crystal had something to do with that."

Upon inspection, Damian had no traces of the crystal left in him. "How long was I out?" He asks, not sure how long.

  "And...how many people know?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Kestrel informs Damian on the length of time, then explains, "Just me, Tim, Alfred and Doctor Strange." There's a pause as she adds, "And Wong who works with him. Your father was out and..." She glances aside with a hint of guilt. "I didn't want to bring the topic up until we knew if this would work or not."
