Location: Sunny Rose Antiques - Brooklyn
Synopsis: April interviews Thor and he tells everyone how horrible Janet is.
Cast of Characters: April O'Neil, Thor

April O'Neil has posed:
The April O'Neil podcast is held within a studio that is not far from her hom ein Brooklyn, its a building quite similar to the one her home is within as well. A brick building with several commercial spaces within it that have been converted into an office building and the studio in the back. She has three employees under her pay and they're all on hand for the live shows almost every day of the week.

This show was not live, it was being pre recordered at an unspecified time to keep security up so that they're not broadcasting an 'open invitation' to any of Thor's would-be challengers who might like to get him while they think he's distracted... or whatever you might describe it as.

Its still essentially the same feeling though, as there's no 'studio audience' just a small room with April on one side of a table, Thor on the other, and a manager at his desk beside them. Thor might take note of beside him is a set of shelves that is loaded with drinks of alcoholic varieties from all around Earth, April's had a lot of guests and most of them bring some measure of bottle of liquor with them as its become a tradition of sorts, its all opened to be drank or enjoyed as they talk.

When the show starts, April sits across from Thor, dressed in a light blue tshirt with a printed picture of a whale jumping over a boy on a rock in the ocean... its a Free Willy tshirt, yep. She's grinning at the Asgardian King.

"And... we're live." She starts. "With... his, eminence? King Thor Odinson of New Asgard." April has to laugh softly then. "I apologize, I'm not really sure how to address royalty of any design. I know titles like that have all manner of traditions in how to phrase such introductions, I'm sure I butchered it." Another small pause then from the young woman, barely even close to her mid 20s. "Its a honor to have you here, truly, there's no better way to describe THAT part, I am sure of it."

Thor has posed:
It's a strange and fortunate get for April's producer. Thor, King of New Asgard, Son of Odin. How did somone finagle that exactly? He never answers calls, has no representation, it seems like he's barely ever at the Avengers' mansion and New Asgard has been keeping to itself. That is until this wedding news exploded and the tourism overnight in the new township blew up into something so strange for those Asgardians to experience.
But, like most things in business, this interview was arranged by luck and having the right people know the right people. A friend of a friend knew Thor well enough to get his attention and keep it. Then one day he just /showed up/ as if that had been the plan all along.
"Thor is fine," He says as if by kneejerk reaction. He's seated there in the chair, a little too big for it in part so he's slouching a little with on hand upon the arm of the chair supporting him. He siles to the camera, warm and with a crinkle to his good eye. He looks back to her and if someone had no idea who he was they'd think he was some... surfer hunk from Cali. The way his hair is growing out and is pulled back, his scruffy beard, his weathered features, and the bright blueness of his good eye all lend a sort of beach bum air to him. Though he is wearing something better than that twitter photo of him with flipflops and shorts. Jeans, a white t-shirt, and a loose grey overshirt that's unbuttoned.
"I'm sorry, nobody told me of the," He looks over his shoulder, turning in the chair and threatening to perhaps unbalance it a touch as he motions to the shelfs of liquor. "The tradition of bringing a present. Next time I'll bring two bottles." He points at her and smiles.
"But yes, Thor is fine. Glad to be here."

April O'Neil has posed:
April has to lightly laugh at Thor's reaction to the liquor shelves and in response she's quick to shake her head to him. "Its perfectly okay." She replies, her right hand coming up to stroke a few locks of red hair back behind her ear. "I don't even drink that much, it seems that tradition has taken on a life of its own in solely so that the guests on the show can enjoy each other's tastes in various spirits." She grins softly then.

"So... in an effort to not just sit here and... fangirl at you endlessly for the next hour or so... I'm going to try and just jump right into this." Its true, she's in her early twenties and she's seated across from a King, a God and a rather attractive man all wrapped up into one. With a quick clearing of her throat, April rises her blue eyes back up onto him.

"I'm sure..." She softly shakes her head as she speaks. "Everyone who's watching and listening to this knows that you're one of the primary members of the Avengers roster today, and one of the founding as well. Jessica Jones is the closest to an Avenger I've had on this show and she seemed disinterested in the idea of ever being on that roster... What are YOUR thoughts about being on it? 'Earth's Mightiest Defenders' is how I believe they're mosst famously described. How well do you think they've been... living up to that lofty title? With groups such as the Justice League and Alpha Flight also doing their part."

Thor has posed:
"Well," His eyebrows climb, "We should clearly indulge while you ask your questions. Truthful discourse is best eased into being aided by a preponderance of liquor." At that he starts to sit up and smiles at April's manager off screen but then he turns fully around and pushes his chair onto its back-legs, arcing back and is able to reeeeach and grab one of the bottles that had been gifted to the reporter.
His chair thumps a bit as it sits back down on its four legs and he considers the bottle, turning it around to her as if asking if she would like some? Then makes a gesture for them to be brought some glasses?
It's then that his attention turns back to her, warmth at her description of him. "Being an Avenger is a noble thing, a stalwart endeavor." He answers her with that same smile, "And I feel we have been doing all possible to aid the people of Midgard."

April O'Neil has posed:
April remains where she is in her chair and her hands come up so that they fold beneath her chin as she just watches the King go for the liquor. "I had a feeling you might go that route." She said then to him. "They're there." She then uses her right hand to point to the glasses stacked up on an adjacent corner shelf. "There's ice there too." She indicates but he's likely already seen the mini-fridge doors beneath the shelf.

At his answer of the Avengers she just lightly laughs for a second or so before she nods in response to it. "Fair enough." She then tells him as he preps those drinks. "So then... a hard hitting question, prepare for it... If you could pick a single member of the Avengers to declare, here today, to thousands of listeners..." This video might make millions. "Who would you label your favorite member of the Avenger roster, other than, well you know. Yourself?" She grins at him then.

Thor has posed:
The appointed accoutrements are made use of, and in short order there's the hearty clink of ice in a pair of glasses, jangling faintly as he sets them down and then pours a caramel liquor into them, almost like an on-air commercial for Captain Morgan's.
Settled now back in his chair, glass held lightly in one hand he looks across the way at April as if seeing her for true when she asks her difficult question. "My favorite Avenger? The greatest worthy amongst a cast of worthies?"
He takes a breath, inhaled through his teeth as if having touched a hot burner. He shakes his head and hrmms to himself, gaze lowering. "You have to give me a little more to go on? In what capacity? In battle? Captain America assuredly is the best warrior to have at one's side. But the one of best vision? That would be Tony Stark, for he sees the future for true."
His empty hand uncurls to the side, "Favorite for the heart of the team? Then that would be the Winsome Wasp, for without her we assuredly would be dullards without the vibrance of life she so imparts."
"Ah, but now if you would know my secret favorite whom I hold closest to my heart? Well that would be Carol. For so much of how she lives her life is how I would do so if I had my druthers. Strong, yet with an understanding of responsibility."

April O'Neil has posed:
That provided answer just makes April show a shining smile as he speaks it. "I continue to see reasons as to why you're the King of your people. That diplomatic response was both... appropriately politically wise as it was eloquent and kind to your team mates." She lingers a grin, because its hard not to and then looks back down at her notes for just a very brief second. She glances back at him and snickers just a little. "Now who is your least favorite?"

She lets that linger for a second before she laughs and shakes her head to the man across from her. "You don't have to answer that, I'm only joking with that question. Its far from a fair question to ask someone, especially one of you and yours."

Quickly, April moves on. "I'm going to have to jump right into whats the biggest headline for you of late, so we can just, get it right out of the way." She says then with a light grin. "Your upcoming wedding... The world as a whole is dying to hear you talk about your wife-to-be and whats lead the two of you to this decision to become a union of the official variety? I don't think many know much of anything about her, people are quite eager to learn more though! Myself included. How does one grab the attention of the mighty Thor to the point that he's willing to settle down with them?"

Thor has posed:
"Ah, least favorite Avenger!" Thor says as he shifts in his seat and smirks shaking his head. A quick drink from his rum and crinkles his nose at her playfully, "You are certainly not pulling any punches, Ms. O'Neil. I shall return to the mansion and my clothes will be thrown onto the street and I shall be left to fend for myself. Is that your game?" He asks the last as if accusing her willfully but clearly not serious.
"Least favorite, at present, is assuredly Rogue. For she was on our team, and had been doing so well. I had been grooming her to accept the role I have on the team as Strongest Avenger, and then she up and departs."
A shake of his head as he clucks his tongue and looks away as if fighting a sniffle then he adds, "Disappointing. But such is today's youth, aye?"
Of course at the end there he laughs and shrugs it all off as he holds up a hand toward her. "But in truth, least favorite? Well there was..." His brow knits together, "We had that Swordsman fellow for a time? He eventually tried to kill us. That wasn't pleasant."
But then he redoubles his attention paid to her, leaning forward in his seat when she offers her next question. "Ah, Lady Ellisandra. There is so much to tell." He nods slowly, "We have only met not too long ago. But we are getting to know one another and with time hopefully we will be able to look back and laugh." Thor's smile is warm as he adds, "But an alliance solidified by marriage is important for our peoples. Hopefully this will help both Kingdoms."

April O'Neil has posed:
April just grins through the part about his clothing being thrown out onto the streets and his revelation of Rogue as his least favorite of the recent Avengers roster. "I remember her." She replies to that part. "She made quite an impact in a short amount of time. Shame she left the team so soon... She's beautiful too, as I recall. Like a super model! I imagine thats what made her leave, a modeling contract of some variety." This just makes April grin and she shakes her head lightly again as she glances down to the tablet computer that she uses to keep her notes on.

Admittedly, she's nervous... she's generally not that nervous as the guests she have are usually people that she isn't intimidated by, but she's young and this man across from her is unlike the entire pantheon of people she's interviewed over the past several years of her life as a public figure in the realm of media and news.

The moving on to his marriage makes April somber up a bit as she listens and lightly nods her head to him two quick times. "I do think its important for your people. My heart is broken for them even still, after I heard about what happened to your homeworld... I saw on the news everything related to your ship that made its dive into the ocean. It was... harrowing to see."

"What -is- the status of your people, on that subject?" She asks. "For those of us who don't know much about New Asgard as it is today... its not often an alien society is granted the right to become members of Earth's... community. How are your people adjusting?"

Thor has posed:
"I believe we're doing well," Thor says as he leans forward, another sip of his rum and he sets it down so he can speak and gesture more freely. "For a time we had felt as if we were merely treading water. But then we turned a corner, gained some of our old sense of selves back. Norway has been most kind with us and we have shared what we can with them. Now we are building on our home, and if feels as if matters are looking up."
He spreads his hands then and smiles, "And with the wedding in the offing, so many of the world's reporters have decided to visit New Asgard and word is getting out about what we have done. So that is a good thing that has come to pass."
That said, Thor sits back in his chair and crosses his legs. "If we are able to maintain our current status for a time, we may be able to restore some of Asgard's lost greatness. Perhaps even the rebuilding of another Bifrost is in the offing."

April O'Neil has posed:
"I am very glad to hear that." April says to the turn around for those of New Asgard, and for the tourism boon to the young new country and home for many displaced people. "If I ever manage to do any traveling abroad in my life, I'd love to your new home a destination to get to. But... I'm a bit of a anti-traveler myself as I'm..." She clears her throat. "Terrified of flying." She flashes him a little grin. "Ridiculous, I know."

A quick breath is taken in then and April sits up a little higher in her seat. "Where is the wedding going to be held?" She then asks before quickly adding. "And can you explain the... Bifrost for us, lame... uneducated Americans." A light smile is displayed before she shakes her head. "Its what you use to travel between places, almost instantly, right?"

Thor has posed:
"It shall likely be in New Asgard, we have not set a date. But there is much to do before a marriage. For our traditions and customs must be solidified as well," He takes a breath and then waves a hand to the side, "So there is much to be done. I am not certain if it will even happen this year. But I shall let you know, Ms. O'Neil."
There's that smile again and then he explains, "And yes, that is it exactly. The Bifrost is the rainbow bridge between Asgard and the other realms of existence. It will allow us to travel instantly across vast distances. It is what allowed us to maintain contact with our allies over the years. Also once it is completed, it shall be a boon to the people of Midgard. Hopefully it shall open up the galaxy to all who wish to travel so."
A small nod is given as he seems to believe his words rather openly, then he reaches for the bottle again and tilts it on its side to refill his glass.

April O'Neil has posed:
April takes a sip from a bottle of water beside her while Thor speaks of his wedding and she then sets the bottle aside and brushes some of her red hair out of her eyes off of her face again. "Even an average person's wedding can take a long time to plan out. I can't imagine what must go into one for Royalty, let alone Royalty of the magnitude of... well... the two of you, to be frank. Its quite a bit different even from say, one of the weddings of the English nobility here on Earth. They're widely considered massive celebrities, but you and your betrothed? I'm probably going to get a lot of vitriol for this, but I'd say you two are... on another level."

The young woman has a sly grin show upon her lips for a moment as she lets that settle before looking down to her tablet computer again before she raises her brows and glances back up to the new New Asgardian King after he explains the bifrost in summary. "You really need to get someone onto you wikipedia page, I think some very uninformed folks have been putting information on there." She grins again before shaking her head to clear her thoughts.

"So you're saying this Bifrost bridge will be open to the public... to travel, anywhere they'd wish in the, universe? Or just the galaxy? I mean there's what? 200 billion stars in the Milky Way alone. Don't know if anyone would need to explore beyond that, really." April laughs softly to Thor then. "That'll be a hell of a boon to your tourist market, I'd say, offering trips like that! Where would you recommend a beginner first visit? Some noob, like me..."

Thor has posed:
"Ah," Thor looks to the side, modesty not exactly fitting on his features but he still makes the attempt. One hand lifts to wave off her words and he says, "I will be pleased once we have all matters handled and a clear course of action. All the lovely extra bits I shall leave to Princess Ellisandra's discretion." He gives a single solid nod and then refocuses on the reporter.
At the mention about needing to get someone on his wiki his brow knits, "I'm sorry, what is this wikipedia?" He leans forwards as if trying to steal a look at her notes then takes another drink of rum. "If it's something that should be done I should likely see it done. But..."
Then she shifts gears and he entirely forgets about Wikipedia and instead speaks to the Bifrost. "Well, matters must be 'hammered' out," His lips twist at his horrible joke then continues, "We'll have to coordinate with the governments of the world and other nations in space, see what is best. Depending on how much mystical power it takes it might be a rare use, but if it will aid the people of Midgard then we may be able to do more."

April O'Neil has posed:
April responds to Thor peaking over at her Stark Tech tablet by just swiping her finger over the screen to bring up the New Asgard Wikipedia page. She then twirls the tablet around flicks the screen toward the television monitor mounted on the wall beside them. "There." April points at the Wikipedia entry for the Bifrost. "It has the description detailing that the BiFrost is a... bi-sexual wizard, named Frost." She then groans and looks back to Thor.

"I think you've got some internet trolls playing with your page... er, Wikipedia, its like..." She tries to think of how to describe it to him. "Its like a 'grand compendium' of 'all information' about a subject. All stored online, on Earth's internet." She even momentarily tries to talk like him when saying those emphasized words, broadening her voice and the like... she's an attractive woman, young and all, but she's definitely kind of a nerd. "Its also a hive of all of Earth's worst people doing terrible things..."

With a throat clearing, April shakes those thoughts away. "Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you do with the Bifrost. Do me a favor and don't be like Jurassic Park, only leaving it to the super rich to get to go and experience it." Another small smile is shown to the Kingly fellow across from her.

Thor has posed:
"A compendium?" Thor redoubles his effort to look upon the tablet and make sense of it, clearly intrigued. "Does Loki know of this?" He asks as he lightly touches a hand to the tablet and turns it, eyebrows lifting with incredulity. "All knowledge, such an undertaking."
But then he becomes distracted and looks back up towards her, smiling in response as she asks him for a favor. "Oh if it becomes fitting and we are capable of allowing people to travel as they would, then we would not stand in their way. Heimdall might take exception, however. Or perhaps engage an assistant for it has been his role to guide the travellers."
Another drink of rum is taken then he settles back into his chair. "Though the internet, I have heard much of that, though I do not believe I have partaken of its benefits. Beyond the occasional glimpse when my comrades have asked me to."

April O'Neil has posed:
April doesn't stop him from taking a closer look at the tablet, it even makes her smile to see him doing it because he acts like... well he acts like she remembers her great grandfather acting when he looked at one of their handheld video game systems back when she was a child visiting their house in Massachusetts. Completely foreign to the device. Its endearing.

"Right, well... you're better off not being on the internet." She quickly surmises. "Your brother Loki." April then hooks onto that mention. "The world doesn't know much about him, less than we know about you and we arguably don't know 'that' much about the true you either... which is why you're here-in part-to help alleviate some of that."

A leveled stare leads into her readied question line next then. "How would you describe your brother, Loki?" She asks. "What I do know of him, is... just tidbits of talk, gossip really. Is it true that he's, some sort've... antagonizing, trouble maker? Not to be trusted, where you're... one of Earth's mightiest and MOST trusted protectors?"

Thor has posed:
"Ah, Loki." Thor reels a little at the concept of the question, as if she asked him to catch the wind and paint it blue. He lifts his now empty glass and ponders its depths as well as he ponders the question. The corner of his lip is drawn between his teeth and he worries at it for a moment. "Well, you see, much of what Midgard's people know of us. My brother, my father, Asgard... much of it is true. For we shared with your people our history back when we first visited. But much of the stories were grown forth from your peoples' own authors after we had left."
He gestures to the side widely, then realizes he's still holding the glass and sets it down on the table with a clink. "So, I mean. Yes, my brother has a penchant for trickery and mischief. But we are not limited by such definitions... entirely." It's clear he's hemming and hawing a little bit, but trying to be best for his brother.
Then he shifts tone and there is something more... regal about him, something more reflective and perhaps even introspective. "Much has happened since we lost our home. We have come together as a family. For our people. There is a strength in Loki that I could see surpassing my own. I would trust him with my life. And have."
That having been said he then seems to shift subtly back to a more at ease posture as he adds, "Perhaps you should have him on your show?" He asks with a smile.

April O'Neil has posed:
Throughout all of what Thor says of his brother, April's eyes remain upon his face, taking in what he's describing and deciphering how she can tell that this subject is dear to him, its important that he describe it 'just so' unlike the other things she's already asked him about since the start of this conversation.

"That is a fascinating thing." She then softly says. "To think that your people's history has been apart of our world's culture for so long that our historians and authors have started to put... their own 'spins' on all of it. Now, you and yours are back to us, to show us the truths and falsehoods of it all. What we've gotten right and what we've gotten wrong. Nothing like that has ever happened in the history of humanity before, and I think thats in-part why people find you and... say your Brother, as well as the rest of your people, so compelling of a story."

April then flashes a big grin. "If Loki would ever consider doing something such as this... I would be more than happy to have him. We do these almost every day, ya know. We gotta keep the list of interesting people coming in and sitting down with us for a couple hours. Otherwise, nobody's gonna listen or watch, and I'm going to be out on my butt talking about trampolines and people turning 100 years old again." Ah the days of April's early reporting gig with Channel Six News...

"So then..." She continues. "God of Thunder. King of Asgard. Soon to be husband... to one Princess Ellisandra--from space no less--do I hear little feet running around in the future? Children of Thor and his new bride-to-be?"

Thor has posed:
"I'll be sure to mention it to him," Thor says with a smile and, to be fair, he most likely will. Even if it's the worst possible time to do so. He takes a deep breath and nods then as he listens to the further words of the young reporter, following along as he can.
Then she preps her next question with due import and he seems to be held in suspense the same as her audience until she finally utters the question and he smiles with a low chuckle. "Oh, perhaps. An heir would be good of course. But we Asgardians do not have an overabundance of children. Usually our families have one or two over their considerable lifespans and so... well... it may be quite some time for your viewers."
At that the Thunderer grins and gives a small wink towards the camera as if letting the good people at home know that he can see them and saying hi.

April O'Neil has posed:
A nod is given to the Asgardian before her and she motions to the shelves of alcohol to indicate that he's more than welcome to sample more of whats available should he so wish to!

"If you think people around her go a bit ga-ga over Royal weddings, you should see what they do when it comes to brand new Royal baby photos or video being issued out to the masses." April replies then with a big grin as she idly twists her chair back and forth just a little. "Its thousands of gossiping fans, millions likely even!"

"Well!" April says then with a quick exhale. "I wanted to bring up a more serious subject for you. I know you recently had a confrontation with a group of Sentinels that were near the state line between New York and Mass... I read a rather unforgiving article about you and it in its aftermath and was hoping to give you a platform to respond to that journalist. To let you speak back to them, here on this show. If you'd like to do so, of course."

April turns her tablet computer to him and slides it over the table to him. "You're welcome to refresh your memory of it, if you haven't read it already you're free to take a moment to do so too. If you'd like. Of course. If this sort've thing has no impact on you, we're more than welcome to talk about something else too."

Thor has posed:
Accepting the tablet to peruse the article, Thor at first looks at it with trepidation, then knits his brow in concentration. He looks mildly uncomfortable, almost comical for a moment like a grandmother trying to see if the newspaper looks better up close or far away, then settlings in at it some middling ways away.
"Ah, right, let me read then." He focuses and hmms to himself, and at one point he seems to stop and reread something, then when he continues a small scowl is on his features. He starts to shake his head as he reads and then frowns all the more.
"Bah," He says at first, but then he gestures with the tablet. "And you want to know what I would say to this varlet if they were here? Well..."
A moment is taken as he composes his thoughts and then elaborates, "Dear muck-raker. Your vile article is a conflagration of bile and inaccuracy, so much so that I know not whether to correct you or have your fangs pulled, villain."
"Damage in the city of Boston? Pfft, I know not if that was the city we were nearest to, but we engaged in battle upon one of the great thoroughfares of your civilization with the cars rushing hither and yon. This simple mistake has me doubting if you even chose to look into these events or are simply trusting to what you have been told by those who likely were never there."
"The fleeing criminals were apprehended, and indeed I did smite the Sentinels as they so rightly deserved. It is the responsibility of the powerful to act with restraint, and these 'Sentinels' have none. They crushed the life from two of the criminals as they fled in fear for their lives. This is not the wise action of a keeper of the peace. It is the action of a coarse cretin seeking to harm those he cares little for."
"And yet, if these automata are answerable to the control of others, then who has commanded that these mortals should die?" His eyebrows climb as he nods a bit, "If no one commanded their deaths, are these machines given the power to judge and execute as well? Look to the one who claims to hold sway over the monsters. Look not to the ones who have been slain."

April O'Neil has posed:
Throughout Thor's reading and rebuttal, April sits poised on the edge of her seat with her hands up near to her pointed chin and a stylus pen between them that she uses on her tablet. She keeps her full attention on his face and after he speaks that impassioned speech she just has a grin spread across her lips.

"That was eloquent and elegant." She says back to him. "This is why you're the King of your people. Well... this is one of the reasons, I've seen signs of a few others as well." She grins more, and yes she's being flirty, she's a woman in her early 20s who's single and--shutup, of course she's flirty.

A moment or so later and April retrieves the tablet computer and twirls it back around to face her. "Well then, I think you've handled that terrible article quite readily. We'll have to find something else for you to tear apart now. Dah-uh, someone else. Some one else." She stammers that part out and gets covered in a blushing effect across her cheeks that she's grateful to let her long hair hide while she looks down.

"Okay, so." She clears her throat. "What was I saying?"

She glances up at him with a grin. The Podcast carries on for quite a while longer, mostly going over subjects such as Thor's desires for New Asgard here on Earth. What he'd like to see the Avengers turn into in the future and his thoughts on other super hero teams and if they should all be merged into one global defense force rather than separate entities...
