LexHub: Impressions
Date of Scene: 25 May 2019
Location: Lex Luthor's Office - LexCorp Tower
Synopsis: Dracula is invited to LexCorp Tower to discuss LexHub, along with Arella.
Cast of Characters: Lex Luthor, Arella Despana, Dracula

Lex Luthor has posed:
The design has been completed, with prototypes for each LexHub module up to snuff for LexCorps standards. The next official phase is getting Alpha Flight approval... but Lex wants to get more input on current specifications first, as well as make some connections.

So it is that Dracula was invited to LexCorp Tower for a social dinner at his office to discuss LexHub and other matters.

In the 'apartment' half of the office, a gourmet chef has prepared human, dark elf, and vampiric meals, with Dracula's choice of blood type via LexCorp blood banks.

Lex himself sits at the end facing the door outwards, with two solid oak chairs on the other three sides ready for Dracula and Arella to make their choices.

Lex himself wears a dinner tuxedo as he sits against his chair. Seems the Man of Tomorrow is taking this dinner a bit formally.

Arella Despana has posed:
Arella Despana sits at her allocated position on the table her expression could be summed up as resting bitch face. As attractive as the Dark Elf woman is - Lithe and voluptuous - and having taken all the fashion advice anyone Lex furnished her with could offer - Arella was still highly dour. Her dourness a common trait to the Dark Elves or Svartalfar. She actually had an infamously wicked sense of humor but rarely laughed or even smiled.

She wears a killer tailored gown displaying lovely decolletage. Possibly tailored if Lex thought it necessary. As for the 'Dark Elf' menu - Arella is fine with human food. Her tastes are crude - she cannot differentiate between a hotdog from a stand and a fine steak dinner.

She does not speak yeilding the floor to Lex. Her unnaturally large green eyes scan the room.

Dracula has posed:
Dracula's expression is equally humorless. Tonight he is dressed in a modern yet expensive suit and tie. He notes Arella momentarily before his eyes dart back to Lex. His accent is modern Londoner, "Your hospitality is gracious as always Master Luthor. I look forward to seeing your inventions. My own laboratory has collected dust nearly as old as this nation. Perhaps I will be inspired tonight."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"One can only hope." Lex quips, his tone and demeanor one of someone used to entertaining guests. Lex takes a slice of steak, bites, chews, then continues, "I was hoping to get your opinions and some requirements for potential visits to LexHub. I realize you probably don't want your weaknesses to be broadcast to the world, but given that it'll be in space, I'd like to know a few things to adjust specifications."

Lex gives a side nodding gesture to Arella, "Arella is fairly easy to accomodate... but you are a different matter. Would you prefer to write it all down, or would talking here be fine with you?"

Arella Despana has posed:
"I'm probably older than some of that dust," Arella remarks blandly - looking to Dracula and narrowing her green eyes, "I'm sorry but who are you? Dracula? The Dracula?" Arella has had time to absorb alot of Earth's culture. Enough actuallyto be incredulous when confronted with what is supposed to be a ficticious celebrity.

Dracula has posed:
Dracula gives a slow nod to Lex, "Indeed. But it is sufficient to merely state that as long as I am not in direct sunlight there is no need to accomodate me further. I cannot handle silver but I imagine that such a weak metal is not standard for space faring vessels." His eyes dart back to Arella, "Yes." And that is that before he returns his attention back to Lex, "Fortunately my weaknesses are not commonplace in most contemporary settings provided that it is not in broad daylight."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Silver is a very useful material for use in some components, but LexHub itself will not have much silver, no." Lex takes another bite, before he continues, "My initial thoughts were to make a module designed specifically for your kind. There aren't many viewports outside the control center and the eventual teleportation hub, but those that do will have armor plates and sunlight shields, and I'd be happy to give you a remote that can access those."

Then, Lex looks to Arella, "This is 'the' Dracula. My initial impression has been he doesn't like to leave his home... and likes the world to not believe he exists. You'd be leaving this dinner with that understanding." Lex notes.

Arella Despana has posed:
"/The/ Dracula reveals his weakness as part of the initial conversation. I do need to ask - are you who you were revered as historically - are you Vlad Tepes?" Arella Despana has to ask. Her meal forgotten. As a profoundly curious creature the alien scientist only has eyes for the anomaly before her - a million questions in her mind. No judgement of course give how universally awful she ha been in her past. Poor Lex is forgotten in her fact finding mission.

Dracula has posed:
Dracula gives a nod to Lex before turning his head now to look upon Arella, "I am revealing only the weaknesses that will be relevant on Master Luthor's space vessel. But even with that knowledge I do not fear reprisal. We have no reason to be enemies and vampiric weaknesses are easily found in books of.. varying sorts. I have already informed you of my identity however and I am not here for an interview. What do they call it now? Google? Technological divination is not something that I have much use for but I do know that information is widely available. I am certain that you can learn all about me using such mediums. And you knowing my weaknesses is of no consequence. I will be frank: I do not fear you. Now.. will that be all?" His tone has become slightly annoyed at this point, as if he has been asked these questions before.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Space /station/." Lex corrects Dracula with a casual tone, taking another bite of steal. "As he says though, I didn't call him here for an interview. Rather, to discuss updates, and LexHub." Another bite of steak, "By all indications, Alpha Flight is going to be required to inspect the modules before we're allowed to send anything up into space. This means any alterations will need to be subtle, and easily explainable. Sun covers are very easy to explain to them, for radiation... so that won't be an issue." Another bite.

"What will be an issue is I have no frame of reference for how their sensors work, so I don't know if they'd be able to detect vampires from their station." Lex continues.

Dracula has posed:
Dracula pauses for a moment while Lex eats, being briefly reminded of the hunger for food, "Yes I can imagine that only magical sensors would be able to detect the undead. I may be able to assist in that regard. Space is truly a new dimension of perception for me. I have obviously known of its' existence for some time but I have never been there. To my knowledge none of my progeny have either and I believe it best to keep it that way. But I have that under control. No vampire other than myself will ever leave this planet. I believe that is in all of our interests"

Lex Luthor has posed:
"LexHub is an entirely technological construct, though if Doom and you both have magical requirements of some kind, I'm willing to put them in. Just keep in mind that LexHub is being disguised as mostly a commercial nexus. The Hub stands for the station being just the beginning. I have a vested interest in getting us out into the solar system... and we need a place to start to build satellites and ships for industrial exploitation." Another bite.

Then, Lex sighs, "I've heard of other vampires around. Are you sure you can speak for anyone not in your domain?"

Dracula has posed:
Dracula laughs, "I keep tabs on all vampires who are descended from me. The other bloodlines are usually far too busy trying to feed without being hunted down by either Winchester, or Slayer, than to be going into space. The progeny of Cain are few in number and I have also kept a watch on them. It is safe to say that the number of vampires who would have a desire to expand their domain beyond this planet are few enough in number that we can suppress their ambitions." He pauses for a moment, "As for magical sensors? I have experience regarding the marriage of magic with technology. I understand that Doctor Doom also has experience in such. The sensors seem to be the main issue and as such it wouldn't be a problem for us to devise a solution."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Then I'd be happy to show you to the Project chamber after this and see if you need to make any alterations or additions." Lex finishes his steak, "or shall we go now?"

Dracula has posed:
Dracula replies, "I would be happy to see them if only to be certain. I would not want to keep you longer than is necessary however."
