Synopsis: In which Darcy and Chris have the same idea for lunch.
Cast of Characters: Darcy Lewis, Chris Redfield

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Midday in the Triskelion. The food court is a buzz with agents of all types getting food with their meal plan cards and settling down with friends and co-workers to eat and socialize. Darcy Lewis is among those in line for a meal, looking over the options on the cafeteria style set up before settling on the Khan's Grill at one end. She loads up her veggies, mixes her meats, and then hands them over to the chef with her picks for oil and sauces. And now, a waiting game for her plate of hot food amazingness.

Chris Redfield has posed:
Chris Redfield is right behind Darcy and settles on something he's used to. Mixed meat gril, vegg....actually it's just the same as Darcy, only different oils as he's more partial to marinaded chicken in his and Greek yogurts. Still he looks to Darcy with a wry grin. "Andd I heard a few of the guys in R&D complaining about our meal plans" he asides then nods to Darcy, "Hey what's up?" he asks, feeling friendly for once. He's got done with a shift that went all night, and he slept the morning away. So it's a brunch for Chris, adding in a second plate for said brunch....and ignoring the strange look he gets from a few agents. He's given his order in, and like Darcy, he's waiting for both plates. Because, hungry zombie killing legend is a bad idea, really. And he's not wanting to go outside the Triskelion for lunch...brunch....whatever it is. Mostly since he's liking the food his employers do. And he's too lazy to go walk around Lower Manhattan too. He's got a pair of cargo pants on, and a SHIELD t-shirt with a pair of workout sneakers on. Like he's been working out, unlesss sleep's a new exercise regime.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"The R&D guys can go suck it," Darcy quips, leaning on the counter in front of her and twisting a bit to look over a shulder at Chris. In contrast to the field agent, Darcy's in her SHEILD business suit. Sharp crisp lines of her blazer sweep her curves to her pencil skirt. She's actually wearing stockings today, complete with the seam on the back of her legs. Her shoes are still almost 'too tall for office work'. Ask her if she cares.

"Nada much. What's up with you?" she fires back, saying nothing about the about of food he eats. If SHIELD's meal plan lets him get that much in a sitting, that's none of her business.

Chris Redfield has posed:
"That's the problem. They did suck it and complained when they didn't get good enough food. Though why they were sucking on vegetables is a mystery. Go figure. R&D are just....stranger than WAND. Hey. I get on with those guys" he adds and smirks. He's noted Darcy's stocking....and....won't ask. He knows better and it's not his place to ask when considering his usual clothing. Still, he's needing all that food to work out.

Chris leans against the counter and grins "So when did we get a baker on the kitchen staff then? I swear we never got cake this good looking" he shrugs and is eyeing a freshly baked cake out the corner of his eye while talking with Darcy.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy rolls her eyes at the R&D guys while turning back to watch the cooks making her lunch.

"WAND's supposed to be weird though, isn't it? Like, that's the point? Weird Ass something soemthing Division?" Darcy quips, before her gaze slides toward the cake.

"Probably a few months ago? I don't know. It's not as good as Delia's though. I leave the Trisk for her tres leches..." Darcy comments, pushing up as the cook sets her finished plate down in front of her.

"Thanks, Marco," she says to him on a warm smile. Meal collected, she gives Chris a nod.

"Have a good one," she says with a tip of her chin. She turns and makes her way into the common room to try to find and empty enough for her table by the window, because her usual spot is taken. She is going to submit Jeffrey's transfer paperwork any day now. Honest to Jesus. The man is a hot mess of needy hot messes.

Chris Redfield has posed:
"Weird ass nerdy dorks?" Chris nods. "Lara's cool though. I don't mind her. Wish she'd loosen up and not be hyper focused on work. I mean, c'mon. Do we need to have an intervention of fun? I feel like tasking the new guys with going into WAND's ofices and decorating it" he says and gets his food.

Finding a table in the middle of the common room, diving into food. "See" he nods and waves to Darcy. he's not sure if it's a hey, mind coming and sitting near me or a catch you around wave.

Either/or.....as Chris smirks. WAND are odd. BPRD beat out WANDF in the weird department. Still, Chris has seen /weird/ stuff, too. Shaking his head, Chris has forkfuls of egg and fried bread. Gotta hand it to the cooks. They do good food work. Real good food.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Something like that," Darcy says. The only table she can find is the freshly emptied table in the middle of the common room. She and Chris arrive at near the same time, as if cued by him waving at her. She looks at the window, slightly longing, but this is a table and soon she will be eating.

Darcy settles to the table, smoothing her skirt under her like a god damn lady, and then breaks into the chopsticks she brought with her.

Chris Redfield has posed:
Didn't even plan that" Chris says and carries on eating....as much as he can eat without coming off as an unncultured slob. He gets up to get a coffee then returns, looking suspiciously at it.

"Decaf" he declares and sighs, giving Darcy a 'why?' look. Breakfast finished, he waits for a minute then carefully picks his way into his actual lunch....albeit with cutlery. Since he'd probably try to find a way to use chopsticks as a weapon. Chris certainly has his quirks really.....still he has his head down and isn't trying to forcibly open up positions on a recruitment drive by suddenly dead SHIELD people. That'd be a fast route to death.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
By comparison, Darcy's normal food to face manuveurs seem dainty. She watches Chris get up, in a frantic fit of energy, before quirking a brow at him.

"Did you try the decanter labeled 'House Blend'?" she asks, tone flat. Whatever 'killer death assassin monkey vibe' Chris things he has, Darcy either isn't aware of it, doesn't really care about it, or hangs out with the OTHER killer death assassion monkeys employed by SHIELD to be unphased by it all.

Chris Redfield has posed:
"....no" Chris says after a moment's pause. He even had the dots verbalised with a silent tilt of his head. "So that's what it was. Last time I tried it I didn't sleep for 24 hours. If it's toned down I'll try it again" he adds and settles back down.

He's toned down his usual way of eating, he's eating....as delicately as he can and sips his decaf, deciding okay, it's here, drink it.

Chris clicks his tongue as he gets an idea, shaking his head with a mischief laden grin.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Coffee hasn't changed, my dude. Still the same sludge as always. Kitchen staff know not to fuck with the caffeine of trained spies and killers, ya know?" Darcy deadpans before fishing out her phone to check on some of her mobile games while she eats.

Chris Redfield has posed:
Chris nods at the coffee comment as he falls quiet, focusing on food Momentary conversation aside, he's eating quietly and enjoying the food, SHIELD has good cooks. Goes with good spies and killers, too.

With his momentary madness aside, Chris is reverting to type, i.e. businesslike and grim. Hence his lack of conversation really.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy's eyebrows lift toward her hairline as Chris falls quiet. She finishes her lunch, and pushes up to clear her space. "Back to the grind. Peace out."
