Cast of Characters: Dragonfly (Arazello), Ghost Spider

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
Dragonfly is lounging around on top of a building across the street, waiting for Spider-Woman's arrival. Waiting for quite a while. When the ... slower ... hero eventually shows she makes tsking noises.
"This is what you call racing?" she asks with a gleeful smile. "I was expecting a bit better than that!"
Her smile is then (badly) suppressed. Along with the little sniggering noise.
"So, how do we play this. You heard the detective. I'm the beautiful one. Maybe I should be the first contact?"
    Yeah, claws are out.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-Woman certainly tries her best to race, but...honestly...when she's swinging along and she sees that blur of color zooming past, she actually stops and sighs a little, shaking her head and pretty much gives up on the whole 'racing' thing, and just moves quick. So there is a bit of a wait before she swings up and over the roof, landing in a low stance before standing up to your tsk'ing noises.
"Yes yes yes. You win...you win." She says, looking over at the other woman and smirking a little. "I'll beat you at somethin'."
She moves to the edge of the roof and leans over, pulling the paper from her pocket and looking it over, glancing back at Dragonfly when she hears the cattiness. "Meeee-owwww! Calm down there. He just can't see my face. So you won by default. That's all." She looks back down into the street. "However...I agree. You probably should. I can watch out in case there's any unwelcome guests."

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
"Yeah, sorry," Dragonfly says in a chagrined voice. "I'm feeling a little insecure here. I'm really new to this game and, well, I guess I'm letting my nerves rule me."
She steps up, hand extended. "Dragonfly," she repeats by way of introduction. "And I caught yours as ... Spider-Woman, right?" She smiles, a genuine one that's not catty or sarcastic. Assuming she's not an actress in her day job, that is. "Let's start this over without me being a bitch, OK?"

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-Woman smiles a little when the woman seems put down. "Hey...You don't have anything to worry about. I'm sure if that was my first body I've seen, I wouldn't be as cool or collected. But I was raised by a police chief. So...that's like...nothing."
She turns walking over and shaking the woman's hand. "That's right. Spider-Woman. Nice to meet you Dragonfly." She says, moving to the edge of the building again. "Don't let those cops get you down or anything. They're just upset that they have rules, and we don't. They think we're the same as the idiots walking around in halloween costumes getting in their way. At least...usually they do."

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
"Well, actually," Dragonfly says, sheepishly running her fingers through her hair, "I kinda am one of those idiots."
She presses her mouth into a straight line momentarily.
"My first gig as Dragonfly wasn't ... great," she continues. "I had no idea how strong I was, how hard I could hit people, that kind of stuff. A few ambulances were needed. Thankfully nobody died. Not even the ones who got hit by the ricochets."
    Ricochets?
Seemingly not inclined to explain further, Dragonfly reaches across for the paper. "Let me look at that again, then I'll head down there and talk. I wonder if I should talk in spandex or out, though?"

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-woman blinks a little and looks over at the woman when she says that and she can feel the embarassment under the mask. "Oh! Well..." She stammers a little, then ahh's. "AHh. Right. Yeah. Well that's gonna happen unless you practice hitting /walls/...and well who does that?" She says, then raises an eyebrow at the mention of ricochets. "Uhhh-huhhh. Okay."
She lets you take the paper, looking back down at the building. "Alright. Hrm...good question. I'm honestly not sure. Might be best to go without. If they didn't want her to be seen talking to cops...they probably don't want her seen talking with someone in spandex."

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
"I could try to go into a window and talk to her out of sight, but ... she might get a little scared by someone just flying in like that. I'll try the front door, no spandex."
With that, Dragonfly takes to the air and flies out of sight. And is that a hint of an explosion sound in the alley? The one over there that had a flash of lightning?
Several minutes later a person walks up to the brownstone house. Brunette. Jeans. Bare arms. That's all that can be easily made out at this distance. She rings the doorbell. A short, but intense conversation, if body language is anything to go by, ensues before the woman is let in. The other woman fearfully scans the street both directions before stepping inside. It takes almost 30 minutes before the door opens and the brunette woman walks out again; the other woman does not let herself be seen. The brunette walks out of sight before the door opens once again and the resident woman leaves, a small knapsack on her back, a large, over-stuffed purse over her arm.
The lightning and thunder strike again, a different alley this time. Shortly thereafter Dragonfly plummets from the sky and lands behind Spider-Woman.
    "OK, done," she says.

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-Woman nods a little. "Yeah...you could...but yeah...yeah just the front door." She says as Dragonfly speaks, then watches the woman fly off. She blinks a little, jumping slightly at the sudden sound of lightning and an explosion. She raises an eyebrow and then looks back over to the building.
She waits, then smirks slightly at the figure walking up to the building. She watches the back and forth, watches the block in both directions just to make sure she doesn't see anyone getting a little too nosy.
When she's joined again, she nods. "Good work. Did...you tell her to leave?"

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
Dragonfly shakes her head. "No. I didn't have to. As soon as I mentioned that Vincent McCallum was dead she panicked and started packing."
A quick glance down at the home.
"She wasn't too hard to get answers from at that point; never seen anybody that terrified before." Short pause. "I... kinda let her assume I was a cop. That's bad, right? I mean I didn't say it, but she assumed and I didn't correct her."
She peers along the street in the direction that Ms. Miller fled down. "I could follow her without her knowing, but ... not sure that would do much that's helpful. What do you think? I could carry you if you want to follow."

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-woman hrms a little and peeks over the side. She raises an eyebrow a little. "She was terrified? Hrm." She looks over down the street and then shrugs. "Let her believe what she wants." She says, sitting on the edge of the building. "If she wasn't just his ex...I'd say follow. But...she's probably just going to a bus."
She turns and looks at you. "You're not carrying me. Even if we WERE to follow. You're not carrying. In this situation, going fast wouldn't help anyways."

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
"I get the feeling that she's his ex for a reason," Dragonfly says slowly, pondering with furrowed brow. "That he was mixed up in things that troubled her. And that's why she left him. She's probably just leaving as a precaution. She didn't seem to know that much. The only Boris she knew was a waiter at a restaurant. A Polish one, no less."

Ghost Spider has posed:
Spider-Woman looks over at Dragonfly, hrm'ing a little and nodding. "Yeah. Doesn't sound like much to go on." She says, resting her head on the palm of her hand. "I'm not worried about her. Boris was a waste...this was a waste..." She says, standing back up to where her feet are halfway off the building. "This is why I like to catch criminals in the act. None of this suspect stuff."
She turns and hops back off, walking over to Dragonfly. "Well...it was good working with you while it lasted." She says, slapping the woman's back. "Have a good rest of the night...and see you around probably!" She takes a step up onto the ledge and leaps off, just a second later a web shoots up, the girl zipping down the street.
Miss Dragonfly, if she was perceptive, could feel something taped to the back of her outfit, looking like a...flyer...for a punk show in a few nights!

Dragonfly (Arazello) has posed:
"Yeah," Dragonfly says, reaching around for the flyer, looking at it with a bit of a grin. "See you around."
She herself takes to the skies, straight up until a safe distance away before letting go and flying full speed for a short burst before plummeting down, her sonic boom echoing in the distance, to some nondescript alley in Flatbush. An alley struck by lightning.
