Date of Scene: 09 June 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: 142, 143, 222

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
The midmorning sun was bright and cheery. The blue sky dappled with puffy white clouds. Many people are enjoying hte park. Several are giving the prodtuction happening near the fountains and statuary curious glances. There's a white pavillion tent, closed sides, and another with a small table covered in makeup. Still another with a rack of clothing.

Among the statues and the fountains are several people. Two hold screens, reflecting sunlight onto a tall blonde man in a black and white tuxedo. An orante silver mask, the same hue as the burnished silver buttons of the white tuxedo shirt he's wearing, is in one hand. He's posing by the fountain with another model, a tall, but not as tall as him, thin beauty with a mane of tight brown curls. A man with a camera is giving directions, so the pair look at each other with faces angled slightly toward the camera. Another man, with dyed silver hair contrasting against his tanned olive skin, sits behind a table with a bank of compute monitors, shaded from the sun.

"Girl, you've got to give me more face," he says without looking up from the eight or so photos displayed on the screen. The poses are all minute shifts from what's going on at the moment: The blonde with his hand on the brown-haired girl's waist as if she is slipping away from him. She's in a silvery white princess ball gown, her face covered by a black mask made of lace and crystals.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
For Marinette, this was an amazing learning expierence! She got to see how it all actually worked. From start to finish.

Currently, she flitted back amd forth between camerman and the monitors, seemingly enthralled by it all.

"She has issues faking the emotion," is murmured softly. It surprises her really. Adrien seemed so good at slipping from on to the next. "Someone more expressive..." Again, she's flitting back and forth.

It's a 'business casual' style. A pair of nice slacks, plain colored tee and a half jacket all paired with a pair of sandals and her hair done up in a bun.
^rHer eyes flit up to the masked pair, her smile softening as they land on Adrien. The affection is clear.

Till (222) has posed:
"One of the most beautiful parks in Metropolis"? Say no more, Till is totally there. In his human guise, of course -- can't have fairies running around willy-nilly, can we? Actually nobody would probably see him, so it'd probably be all right. But, better safe than splattered, right?

Till's happily sitting in a patch of flowers, somehow without managing to hurt a single one of them with his weight. He's tending them, kind of, since he's pulling weeds away from the area he's sitting in, and piling them in a small 'compost heap' next to him.

He's close enough to the photo shoot to know they're there, but he hasn't been paying much attention. Not until the man behind the computer speaks. This makes him look up curiously. He blinks, them picks up the weeds in one hand and heads in the direction of the photo shoot. He'll toss the weeds in a trash can on his way, and tilts his head to watch the goings on.

So there he is, a kid with light brown hair and bright green eyes, dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans, and a pair of battered sneakers on his feet. He's out of the way for the time being, at least.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
For the cameras, Adrien steps toward the 'princess', angling his shoulders so the composition stays as dynamic as he can make it. He says something, just loud enough to be heard by those near him.

"Drop your chin a bit, the light's just there," he's saying to his partner, offering her advise. Perhaps she's new to modeling? As he speaks, he pulls her slightly with the hand on her waist to adjust her angle, making her frame look leaner in the photo.

"Maybe," says the creative director, looking up from the monitors again. "Fix your face. Come on! You've got ten frames left."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"She needs someone she clicks with..."

She just designs clothes, right?

With a sigh, Mari ignires the protests as she walks up to Adrien's counterpart. "Here... Like this..." She reaches oit to minutely shift the girl's face. "Think if this... He's Prince Charming... You spent dozens of lifetimes with him... loved him in each one.. but could never quite tell him amd now, now you have... Now you can finally be together... Except he's promises to someone else.. It's a mix of love and joy and sadness and longing..."

Her eyes flit to Adrien and she grins before looking back at the girl and smiling. "It's okay. He'll take care of you. Just trust him."

And then she's stepping back and out of the way, coming to a stop not far from Till. Her hands are shived into her back pockets. After a moment, she hlances at Till and grins. "What do you think?" is asked with a nod to the pair being photographed.

Till (222) has posed:
Till doesn't know anything about modeling, or outfits, or mugging for the camera. But he does think the dress is awful pretty! Thusly he's been keeping out of the way and staying quiet. In fact, he's found a flower to talk to nearby and has sat down to watch. He reclines back on his elbows, stretching his legs out in front of him and crossing them at the ankle. The flower has ended up next to his left side.

Marinette comes to stand near him then, and speaks! That seems to surprise him! But he looks up with a blink of his leaf-green eyes. Then he looks back at the models. "They're both very pretty," he offers. He shifts then, to sit tailor-style on the ground. "What's going on? I mean, I can see you're taking pictures. But... beyond that."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
There's a faint cry of dismay from the creative director as Marinette just walks on set. The photographer grumps faintly, but waits. Adrien too falls out of the pose as Marinette comes over, but as she speaks his eyes fall to her and... wow. Just wow. He smiles softly, giving her a nod when she flicks her blue eyes his way.

Attention back to his modeling partner, he turns that (almost exactly) the same smile he had for Marinette on her and she melts. Again, he adjusts their bodies, like a dance almost, for the last few frames, she's blushing, lips slightly parted. He shifts his expression to match the bittersweet story Marinette gave them so that sorrow and longing are all that can be read from him.

It's heartbreaking!

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Bluebell eyes flick to Till and Marinette smiles. "A photoshoot for my design showcase before break."

Her arms cross ovwr her chest, a smile blooming on her lips as she watches the girl who seems to have relaxed and caught on. "Much better..."

She looks back at Till. "I'm Marinette, by the way."

Till (222) has posed:
Till grins a little at Marinette's observation that the girl is doing better now. "Hehe... I bet. He's looking at her like nothing else in the world matters but her." He leans over to stage-whisper at Marinette mischievously, "I bet she thinks he's cute."

Then he leans back and nods at the introduction, the grin fading to a more friendly smile. "I'm called Trevor," he offers in return. "Good to meet you!"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Oblivious to the conversation happening over there, Adrien has taken the story given - because his photoshoot partner seemed to have reacted to it - and is running with it. Another adjustment to the poses and Adrien's put himself so that the lines of the tuxedo has much of the puffy skirt as its background. The hand closest to the camera collects the other model's hand, like he's either lifting it to his lips or is lowering from his lips, while the other hand brings his mask up as if he's in the middle of unmasking himself.

Absolutely no undertones here. Right?

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Bluebell blue eyes snap around to Till at his observations ath then back to the pair in front of the camera. Once can almost see the physical shift in her. The tension that suddenly enters her entire from. The way her hands curl into fists ans then uncurl. The waybher jaw clenches.

Marinette forces her eyes closed. Forces a deep breath in through her nose and out through slightly parted lips. "Just work. It's what the shoot requires." Was she explaining that to Till or reasurring herself. "Nice to meet you."

Till (222) has posed:
Till nods, watching Adrien again. "Yeah. I'd probably blush if someone I thought was cute looked at me like that, too," he confirms. If he notices the tension in Marinette he doesn't mention it.

However he does nod to her explanation/assurance. "Art needs to imitate life, right?" he reasons. "If it looks fake, the people looking at it will pick it up. He's probably imagining she's somebody that he really loves."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"That's a wrap!" calls the creative director, and Adrien steps away from the girl, smiling politely again, as if he hadn't been looking at her as if in a moment of forlorn love. The mask is handed off to an assistant as Adrien sweeps his green gaze about to find...

"Marinette," he calls out when he sees her, and he moves over, glad for the slight bit of shade near them. Black tuxedo in the middle of a bright and sunny day with reflectors shining the light on you? Hot hot hot.

Literally.

Adrien's cheeks are slightly flushed under the makeup, and there's the tiniest hint of sweat at his temples. But his smile is bright enough.

"Oh. Bon jour," he says to Till, not recognizing the young man for the small fairy that had come into his make up that one day in April during the swim wear photo shoot.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Aaaand there's another breath, in through the noae and out through the mouth. "Most people would." And another breath. His final statememt has a smile, tight but genuine, appearing. She's about to respond when the director calls it done.

Her name is called amd her eyes snap over to Adrien, one hand coming up to wave her fingers at him.

When he arrives, she smiles. "Thank you for doing this. I really appreiciate it."

And then introductions are made. "Adrien, this is Trevor. Trevor this is Adrien." Nope. No last name given.

Till (222) has posed:
When Adrien removes his mask, Till blinks. Hey! He knows that guy! But then... he can't let HIM know that he knows him. Because then he'd have to explain WHERE he knows him from, and then that would be a mess.

"Hi!" Till says brightly, the sound all but a chirp, as Adrien greets him. He stands up, dusting off the back of his pants, as Marinette introduces him, and... bows politely. "Pleased to meet you."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Bowed at, Adrien smiles warmly, half bowing in reply before he looks over at Marinette.

"My pleasure. It would have been really awkward for you to try to redo this to fit someone else. After all, you made it for me," says the blonde to the brunette, eyes sparkling warmly before he looks back at Till.

"So, Trevor. Are you... a friend of Marinette's?" Thre's no jealousy there (yet!), just light confusion.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
A smile goes to Till, her shoulders relaxing only minutely.

"It really would have been a pain..." is agreed before Mari smirks. "Although, I may need to make a few adjustments." He was finally starting to gain muscle mass.

Till (222) has posed:
"Oh uh." Till pauses, looking to Marinette. "I don't know her, no. I just sort of wandered over when I noticed what was going on, and we struck up a conversation." And not to worry, Adrien -- Till looks like he's a few years younger than Marinette anyway. And he's so scruffy-looking, not nearly as polished as Adrien is; he looks like he got all those clothes at the nearest charity retail store.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Marinette seems relaxed and calm, mostly, though the smirk prevents Adrien from getting too territorial. He just smiles lightly, bringing a hand to the back of his head.

"Yeah. I've noticed. I really need to cut back on the croissants..." WHich is a dman shame because Marinette's fresh out of the oven home made from scratch... Inwardly, Adrien melts at the thought of the baked good, while whimpering in his head at the thought of giving them up.

"OH, that's nice," Adrien says very warmly indeed, without a single hint that he's dying a little instead at not eating as many flakey tasty warm buttery... ugh! Now i'm hungry!

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
And there's that stern look. "You most certainly will not, Adrien Agreste. You're finally starting to look healthy and it's wonderful that it shows and so help me, I'll rip apart any photographer that says differently. You eat just enough for your activity level." Hmph!

She turns her attention on Till and smiles. "And I appreciate the company and conversation." Even if some of it did lead to jer wanting to string the girl up. "Would you be willing to join us for a small smack and a drink?"

Till (222) has posed:
Till grins at the mention of cutting back on the croissants. "Why? You're getting all muscley, and girls like that!" And then he flexes his arms, raaaar!

...Yeah no, you have no muscles Till, stop trying to flex guns you don't have.

Then he blinks as Marinette invites him with them for a snack. "Oh uh. Sure." He starts to rustle around in his pockets. "I think I have some change..."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Yikes! Ok, Marinette! Ok. Down girl," Adrien is quick to say, hands coming up as if she were pointing a gun at him. But his lips are smiling none the less. With Marinette inviting the boy to join them for snacks, Adrien nods.

"DOnt' worry about it, Trevor. Catering always puts out way more than I can eat," he says, motioning for the pair to follow. He's got a tent to change in after all, and there's always a small table with fruit and cheese... only no one's eaten the cheese yet.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"He's not wrong, mon amour." There's a mischivious sparkle in Mari's eyes. Tje proud, happy grin is likely due to Adrien conceding on his diet.

She smiles over at Trevor amd then straightens to follow Adtien. "I think the skirt of the gown needs adjusted. It's too full..."

Till (222) has posed:
Till laughs when Adrien acts as though he's got a weapon pointed at him, and looks to calm Marinette. Though then he goes thoughtful, at Adrien's assurances. "...So it'd just get thrown away anyway?" he asks. Because then it's not 'accepting a gift'; then it's 'taking someone else's cast-offs'. And once it's thrown away, the previous owner relinquishes all rights.

At Marinette's confirmation of his words regarding the girls liking muscles, he gives a mischievous grin. "See?" Though he also follows the pair. He doesn't really have an opinion on the dress. But he does note, "I bet it's hard to walk in, with it being so long."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Pretty much. It's a bit wasteful, and I keep telling them to send it to a shelter, or something but.. I'm not sure it always happens. So, you're welcome to it. I never really like to eat right after a shoot," Adrien is saying, holding the flap open for Marinette and Trevor.

"You were going for dreamy, princess, right? It worked. Granted, it was a bit tricky getting next to it with all the fabric and not put odd shadows but.. it's fine. It really looked very beauitulf."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Blue eyes flitnto Trevor amd a brow arches. "You think so? Maybe I should find her and ask..." Because now her mind is back on business. "More or less but it shouldn't impede your partner's ability to get close," is replied to Adrien as she pauses in jer steps, mittering to herself as she reassesses the design in her head.

Till (222) has posed:
Till nods. Now he feels better about it. "Well, that's why fast food places and restaurants throw out their old food," he offers, as he ducks into the tent. "Everybody wants to sue everybody else. They're trying to prevent someone from getting sick from eating something that was sitting under heat lamps all day and then suing them over it. It's super-wasteful, and /I/ sure wouldn't mind it if I got a bit of a tummyache from eating stale food, if I was hungry."

Marinette's question gets a tilt of his head. "Maybe, a little. You might still be able to have the full floofiness if you, sort of, concentrate the floof on the sides? That way it's not in the way of her feet or whoever's trying to get close?"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Adrien puts a hand at the small of Marinette's back to help get her moving into the tent before he steps to the side, where there's a smaller clothing rack and his normla clothes hung up.

"She'll probably tell you she loves it as it is. I know that I don't like telling a designer I don't like what htey made. I mean. It's something they've put their heart and soul into. It's be horrible if I crushed that by saying I didnt like it," Adrien says as he pulls off the jacket and starts to hang it.

"So, I always try to make sure that what I'm wearign looks the best that I can make it, because someone put themselves into the clothes. Anything less just seems ...rude." As he's starting to undo the buttons of hte shirt.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Guides forward, Marinette blinks as she's brought back to the here and now.

Finding the nearest place to sit, she looks at Till and Adrien, adressing the former first. "Maybe. Or creating a false bell... Hmm... Definitely something to consider..."

Tjen sje blibks over at Adrien, brows knit. "It's kind of you notnto want to insult but I'd prefer blunt, honest feedback on what works and what doesn't. The clothes are meant to be worn and moved in so if something doesn't work for a photoshoot, it certainly won't work once out on and worn out. Which is a serious design flaw and it's only a disservice to tje designer if it's put out there, talked up and e made to look good, and then fails once put to use."

Till (222) has posed:
Till tilts his head at Adrien's explanation. "I guess that makes sense," he replies. Though when Adrien starts unbuttoning clothes, Till turns his back and looks the other way. Whoop! Let's not stare at the human, they don't like that. Marinette's words get a nod, even if he's not looking. "That's true," he agrees. "Because you have people who will be super-blunt and just say it's bad. That's super hurtful, and way less useful than 'this particular thing doesn't work, how can we fix it?'."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Opposite the clothing rack Adrien's next to is the table with his own little trays of fruits and cheeses. The shirt is hung up, and Adrien starts to get the tuxedo pants off next. Models....

"There's a difference between honest feed back and being hurtful. And you're talking about the difference between haut cuture avante garde looks and ready to wear. If you're doing ready to wear, then most definitely I'd tell the designer is something's pulling oddly. But if it's avante garde? It's more art than clothing anyway. I'm just the canvas." A personality-less, blank thing for an artist to impose his/her own will upon, his/her own ideals of beauty. Pants get hung up, demin pants drawn off their hanger to be stepped into once the shoes are toed free.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Marinette blinks several times befoee she frowns. She doesn't like the description there.

Standing, she makesnher way to the flap of the tent and opens it just enough to peek out. He was right. The dress was complete impractical. She doesn't wanr to design things that can't be worn well. What's the point in that?

Closing tje flap, she walks over and snags a random something from the tray to nibble on while she thinks. She xould be chewing on a piece of napkin for all she knows.

"You're right..." Her nose wrinkles as she sits back down. "I may need to redo the shoot..."

Till (222) has posed:
Till's keeping his eyes turned away from Adrien while he changes. Sure, Adrien may be used to people ogling him -- if he's a model, that's kind of his stock in trade -- but it's still not polite to stare at someone. He frowns a little at Adrien's words, though he can see the sense in it. So instead of arguing, he provides a counter-point. "At least they didn't make you model spray-on clothing."

Though he raises an eyebrow at Marinette, looking in her direction as much as he can without inadvertantly 'sneaking a peek' at Adrian. "Redo it? Why? Was something off about it?" he asks.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
His own pants pulled on, Adrien looks up and watches Marinette go to the flap to look out.

"Mari! We can't redo the shoot. It's a wrap. It's done. Don't worry. For what it was, and for the shoot, the dress was perfect," he tries after she goe to the food tray to grab a random thing. He reaches for his shirt.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"I don't want to design clothes thay can't be worn..." So, technically, yes something was off about it. "Even if it's just once in a while. That gown was meant for a masquerade ball, yes bit it should be comfortable to wear as well. Easy to move in. Otherwise... Why bother? So it can hang in a closet somewhere?"

Till (222) has posed:
There we go, Adrien's dressed now. Till turns back around then, and snags a piece of the cheese. He looks around a moment, to see if he can spot the not-cait sidhe around. Probably not, he figures, since there are people in 'business mode' in the tent, so he only looks around for a moment or two. He doesn't interrupt Adrien's and Marinette's conversation, but he's listening, even if he seems to be more concerned with the food. If there's strawberries like last time, he'll definitely be interested in those!

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Strawberries and grapes and kiwi and melon. It's all there. And Adrien doesn't try for it. He pulls his jacket from the hanger to pull it on.

"It's because you're practical, Mari. If you ask if things pull or constrict, we'll tell you. And during fittings you should ask us to walk and move and bend and anything else you think needs to happen in your clothing, and watch.." Adrien's a bit at a loss, trying to help, but not sure he's doin gmuch good.

The cat sidhe is no where to be seen.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"Is being practical a bad thing?" It's asked as a general question, not being directed at either in particular.

She smiles up at Adrien. "I'll remember that. Wouldn't the ... I supppse not if I am them... Right. Anyhow."

She pushes up and walks over to Adrien and reaches up to hug him. "Thank you."

A smile is sent to Till. "Both of you."

Till (222) has posed:
Till didn't figure he would be, since this is all human business that's going down. That said, Till makes a note not to eat all the cheese. Also to bring him some tuna if possible. Unless he's one of cats that like chicken instead. Hrm. This bears further thought.

Ohey kiwi! Those are hard to get hold of. Literally, since in his natural form he's only a little bigger than one. He always found it odd how something fuzzy and brown on the outside and green inside could taste so much like a strawberry. Either way, nom!

He nods as Marinette thanks both of them. "I'm not sure I did a lot, but I'm glad it helped," he offers honestly. He has to pause, to wipe a kiwi juice drip from his mouth, whups! But then he adds, "Clothes are going to fall more or less on one side of that line or the other, I think." He puts his hand out to either side of him, as if weighing two things. "That line of 'for looks'--" He tilts to the right a little here. "--Or 'for life'." He tilts back to the left.

"Like, high heels," he brings up. "I can't imagine running in a pair of those. I've seen people who do, but I bet a nice pair of sneakers -- or even just flat-soled formal shoes -- would be more comfortable. Or those super-clunky boots the rock singers used to wear in the 1980s, when they had all the makeup on. I don't know how they walk in those things. But those people are willing to sacrifice a little comfort to look the way they want. And the other way around, I doubt someone who wants to laze around the house would do that in a cocktail dress. I don't think it's so much that 'pretty clothes are impractical', or that they SHOULD be that way, but I think it's all right for them to not be as comfortable as 'lazing around' clothes."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Happy to receive the hug, Adrien smiles as he rests his cheek onto the top of Marinette's head. His green eyes flit to Trevor and a smirk can be seen and heard.

"Running in heels is certainly not easy at all. Really, they should be illegal," he comments into Marinette's hair on a faint chuckle, as if sharing an inside joke.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
A soft snicker and Mari's eyes squeeze shut in an attempt not to outright laugh even if her shoulders are shaking.

After a moment, she clears her throat and lifts her head slightly to smile up at Adrien. "There's a reason I wear flats or kitten heels," is said with a wink before grins at Till. "And I think you're right. I'll just have to learn to deal with it."

Till (222) has posed:
Till wrinkles his nose when Adrien mentions banning high heels. "I don't know about that," he notes. "Now I've seen some crazy styles that should be, because I have no idea what the designer was smoking. Like, this one pair..." He pauses, raising his hands, clearly having trouble describing them. "The heel was on the front. Except the shoe forced the woman's leg en pointe, and she had to walk with her legs always bent, because the heel was actually strapped to her shin, and this big huge pointy bit propped her up from in front of her shin..." He shakes his head. "I don't know if I described it right, but it was weird."

He nods at Marinette's words. "It's not necessarily bad for clothes to be more for looks than comfort, I don't think. Wearing clothes that aren't perfectly comfortable is the least of the weird things people to their bodies to look pretty."
