This is a Triumph. Huge Success. I'm running out of white and Lorna's green dress.
Date of Scene: 22 October 2019
Location: Dining Hall - Xavier's School
Synopsis: Lorna's Mad, Rogue's a Cop, and Emma judges all
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Rogue, Emma Frost

Polaris has posed:
Lorna stepped into the kitchen, looking only slightly better than she had previously. Scott had actually taken the green haired woman out for coffee and tea... which then morphed into lunch and a 'I'm your leader and I care' check ins. Still, it had been the last time Lorna had actually eaten, and now it was clocking in well past the dinner rush and the students had already come and gone.

The green haired Princess slipped into the hall with a bag of chips from the kitchen and a six pack of soda in her grip. She clearly intended to spend the rest of the night up late and obsessing over bits and scraps of news from Genosha. All of which had been more or less radio silent since her father had ordered her to remain at the Mansion for her own safety. It was frustrating and Lorna desperately needed something constructive to do before she ripped something up or lost it and flew back to Genosha on a rage filled whim.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue strides into the kitchen after arriving home just a few minutes ago, she'd parked her car in the garage and came inside, through the halls and past the people within them to the kitchen where she sets her leather bag down and a handful of papers she'd gotten. The papers have the Salem Center Police Department logo on them.

Rogue leans against the counter and stares down them, reading the first few lines on the front page. Its an application of employment, to the police?

When she notices Lorna in the kitchen already, the Belle looks up and flashes her a smile. "Hey there, Pretty Princess." She states, turning to one of the fridges to go get a bottle of tea from it.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Genoshian Princesses too." Emma says as she looks up from the tablet she holds in one hand and her blue eyes linger on Lorna, looking up from her feet and slowly drinking in the royal mutant with a critical eye. "Chips and Soda... You really must be in one hell of a break up or - no, that's ice cream. Who are you upset at?" Emma asks, lifting her eyebrow and correcting herself midway.

Wearing a simple outfit of black yoga pants over a pair of knitted looking socks in dark grey, Emma stands firm in a white hoodie with danging draw strings that rest over the image of a sun peeking out from behind some clouds with a glass of red wine. "Come, drop those with Rogue. We have much to talk about." The white queen says as she motions to Rogue behind herself and then pauses and looks down at the papers. "Oh, SO much to talk about." As Emma claims a seat at Rogue's table and turns her icy blue gaze onto the papers before Rogue.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna squinted at Rogue's handful of papers, coming over to curiously peer at them. The young woman wore a pair of ripped, high waisted jeans, and an oversized black sweatshirt which was absolutely covered in safety pins up and down the sleeves. She was barefoot, and still clutched the bag of chips under one arm and six pack of soda beneath the other. She noted the police logos first, and arched an eyebrow upward. Anything else was cut off by Emma's arrival and comments.

A snort, that almost bordered on a sneer, twisted her lips and Lorna shot Emma a narrow eyed look. "Not who, what. I'm going to hole myself up in my room and rip apart everything all over again from my coronation ceremony and see if I can't find //someone// responsible. It's all I'm //allowed// to do apparently, since I'm not even supposed to return to Genosha until my father is satisfied with the security in the palace." She muttered darkly, stubbornly not so much as hinting that she planned to give up either of her snack foods or sugary drinks.

"And right now I plan to do that until I have answers. So. Unless you've got those.."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gets her bottle of tea out of the fridge and hip-bump closes the door. She turns and walks back to where her application to the Police Department lays and it makes her grin when she sees them both notice it, though she doesn't talk about it. She just opens her tea up, listens to them both, and then leans forward over the counter onto her elbows.

A light grin is shown to both of them, Lorna in particular. "You should tell your dad that he should look into hiring some Sentinels t'help protect the Palace." She jokes. "I'd love t'see his facial response to that." And her tea is then raised up to take a sip from it.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Okay then, /What/?" Emma asks as she sits down and presses a button on her tablet and then sets it too on the table away from Rogue's papers. The white queen tugs at the hem of her hoodie to make sure it sits correctly and then turns her head to face the southerner and ... whatever Lorna really is. Who knows.

"So you're going to let a man tell you what you can an can't do when you're what... thirty, thirty two years old?" Emma says, guessing at Lorna's age incorrectly, maybe even on purprose.

Frost then turns her look to Rogue and then down at the papers and taps the top one once with her fingernails and frowns deeply at Rogue but, surpresses her thoughts and then allows the girl to keep doing what she's doing. No need to discuss the ideas that could offend such a potent young woman.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shot Rogue a look, her expression sardonic in measure, and only faintly amused. Irritation was by far the winning emotion in her gaze as her focus returned back to Emma sitting primly like always. So utterly perfectly put together and proper. "I rewatch the footage and find out what is the common factor with who was present from the coronation to who was known to be present in the palace the last time this thing appeared. Then I pass that intel along and get this shit handled." She half way snarled, and her hands curled tightly around the plastic handle of the snacks and sodas in her grip.

"And don't start with me about listening to //men// Emma. You walk around wearing a thong and corset at a mens club. Those rules are outdated and if you had any true power there, you'd wear whatever you wanted and get respect regardless."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smirks at Emma and then raises her free hand up to her forehead where she gives a mocking salute to the white queen. But she still doesn't comment on why she has a Police Department application in front of her.

Her green eyed gaze then goes back to the Genosha Princess and she just... grins.

Her tea bottle is raised up to her lips and she sips from it. Then she sets it back down and shakes her head side to side. "Your dad is a hottie, for his age, as we've debated before. But I don't wanna go near him for one big damn reason, other than you don't want me to." She grins again. "But yeah, one big damn reason? I don't wanna turn inta... whatever it is ya got goin' on there, Lorna-loo."

Rogue straightens up then. "Which I mean t'say, all the drama and stress. Your gonna age like ten years in the next two from all'a that."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Oh, they don't expect you to command respect. That's something that is earned." Emma states rather matter of factly to Lorna, and smirks. "I wear it because it's comfortable to me and because of the power showing my skin gives to me over the weaker sex." Emma says almost smugly but then she waves her hand before any more words can be flung in her direction. "I will speak to my peers about trying to make things more palatable for yourself, but know, if they do agree, your standing will be unique and likely cause unrest within." Emma says, knowing Rogue is here and thus she will not reveal details as she expects Lorna to do the same. It is a hush hush club after all.

"Dear Anna Marie has a point Lorna, we don't want you looing fourty do we." Emma says before chaning the subject in a manner as only she can. She taps the paper and leaves her finger there and then looks up from her manicured nail to Rogue, expecting just her face to be enough to coax out the explination from Rogue.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shot Rogue a look, "You are not helping." She ground out through gritted teeth, not moving to sit down or so much as loosen her grip on either the snacks or soda. She still clutched at them with an iron, unrelenting grip. Her anger was there boiling away just beneath her skin and Lorna was inches away from losing whatever 'cool' she managed in her day to day life.

"My father survived the Holocaust and untold horrors therein and you want to tell me that a Nazi showing up in Genosha, on my coronation and birthday celebration is no big deal?" She was snarling at this point, and her glare was passed between the Southern belle and fashionista in turn.

"I will do whatever I damn well please, and I will wear whatever I damn well please without anyone speaking on my behalf. Now unless either one of you has anything actually helpful to my immediate goals. I'm going to go back to my rooms and ignore the rest of the world for a few hours."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't really want to talk about the papers in front of her while Lorna is having a crisis, as Lornas do. So she ignores Emma's looks and puts her green gaze upon the Princess then just smiles at her.

"Not tryin' t'get ya all worked up." She tells her. "Just tryin' t'dig around for somethin' that'll make ya laugh and relax a bit. Thats all. Yeah, that stuff is weird, if not outright terrible. But what can ya do about it right now? It doesn't look like much, so you... I don't know. Just look around ya, enjoy whats here."

Rogue motions toward one of the two entrances to the kitchen out to the west wing main hallway. "I just came from Salem Center where I fought some weirdo Robot Men who were controlled by a old man who's fingers I broke and then helped the Police arrest'em. Prior t'that? I was a tthe Apple Park Fall Festival, and its f'ing gorgeous and fun... they're doin' live music every night this week up to Halloween. Go do stuff like that!" She motions to Lorna. "Get your damn head outta Genosha for a while, it'll help you."

Emma Frost has posed:
"We all know your father survived the Holocaust, it's well known Lorna, and I'm not telling you what you should wear, I'm telling you what to expect from others for wearing what you want." Emma says with her look falling away from the southerner to address the upset princess to which Emma does stand up and puts her fists at her waist as she gives the green haired woman a much more thorough once over this time. "I may be a mind reader Lorna, but I was not aware you were attacked so recently and though you might not want to hear it, your father is right to try and protect you with a miniature exile." Emma says with a look to Rogue looking for affirmation though she really doesn't need it.

"Anna Marie is-" Emma closes her eyes and puts her fingers up to her mouth for a moment. "Is rrrr- right." Then she shudders. "You really shouldn't focus on anything for some time and relax Lorna."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna exhaled roughly through her nose and inhaled sharply, somewhat mollified by the way that Rogue and Emma changed tactics at least. Some of the tension slowly leaked through her shoulders and down to her grip on the plastic and aluminum cans. She closed her eyes briefly, and seemed to reign herself back in once more. "Scott already took me out for lunch and did the check in. I didn't talk about Genosha, or missions. I did the break. I had the healthy food. I did the walk outside. I have done what I'm supposed to do and now I have to do something productive before I snap." She breathed, her voice barely above a hushed murmur.

Finally, she opened her eyes as she looked between the two women in front of her.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just has to smirk at Emma's hesitation to agree with her on the proper things Lorna should be doing right now. She gives her a slight nod to at least acknowledge that she did finally agree at least.

Her eyes then go back to Lorna and she tilts her head slowly. "I'm glad Scott was there t'try'n help ya out. But honestly? I've known ya for quite awhile now and the deeper you seem t'get inta Genosha's politics and--bullshit--the more you seem t'inch closer TO snappin'. I legit think you need t'take some time off'a that stuff and find something else in life that you wanna focus on. There's gotta be something else that you'd like to dive inta, nice'n deep. Even if its just... I don't know... teach a class here, or go TAKE a class somewhere. Seriously. Your mind is boiling over with the drama'a that island paradise, and its not lookin' good from where I stand, Green Peace."

She takes another sip of her tea then and reaches into her back pocket to slap a pair of steel handcuffs down onto the police application making a significant noise of metal on marble counter top.

Emma Frost has posed:
"I'm not sure when Anna Marie learned so much about psychology, but she's not wrong." Emma says with a subtle hiccup before she shakes her head and then lifts a hand to brush her hair back behind her ear. "Lorna, you're mind is going to snap if you keep this up, and I'm afraid I might give it and your some help and do it in a controlled manner, just to make sure you can recover properly. So either I break you, or you take a break." Emma says, arms crossed and she's about to give her finall command when-

    CLANK

Emma looks down at the cuffs and then to Rogue and the wind goes out of Emma's sails, and she almost deflates before reaching her finger back over and taking the cuffs from Rogue. "You don't need these." Emma states as she twirls them around a finger effortlessly.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna eyed Rogue as her friend went on about what she needed to stop doing, and how she needed to R-E-L-A-X and get into something, anything else. The green haired mutant lost whatever anger had remained in her frame by the time that Rogue finally finished speaking and she reached up to drag her hand through her hair as she set the chips down for a minute. She'd sensed the metal handcuffs but hadn't commented, not until they were abruptly slapped down onto the counter top. She arched an eyebrow upward, as Emma reached down for them and took them.

At first it looked like Lorna might say something before she thought better of it and shook her head. "And just because you have telepathy Emma doesn't mean you're a qualified therapist. I have one, they're in Genosha. I'm fine. I'm going to go be productive instead of sitting here and wasting time." She murmured, moving to pick up her chips with a shake of her head. One last glance spared for either woman, in particular the handcuffs, and made to leave the room and head back upstairs.

Rogue has posed:
When Emma swipes her handcuffs off of the papers, she just smirks at the white queen then looks over to Lorna as she--low and behold--doesn't really respond to the advice that positively. "Okay, have fun stormin' da productivity castle." She says to her friend, knowing full well she's just playing with her. She wishes Lorna the best, but she can't do too much to help her with these problems, unless she didn't know of some options yet!

Either way, she looks back to Emma then and her left hand goes behind her hip and she pulls a second pair of handcuffs out of her left jeans butt pocket, then slaps those down onto the counter as well. "Sure I could use these." She replies. "I got the cop that gave me this application t'give'em t'me. He said he didn't use these anymore, for work.." Rogue grins then for a second.

"Besides." She says, giving a little sassy sway to her hips as she looks down at the 2nd set on the counter. "I sometimes needta deal with other scum bags, so if I had handcuffs, I could ya know... cuff'em t'something and then come back t'them later without them havin' run off, ya know?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma closes her eyes and shakes her head at Rogue and a small sigh escapes. "You are incorrigible Anna." Emma states a she takes the cuffs in hand and puts them down on top of the second pair, her hands falling into the large single pocket of her hoodie and then she looks over her shoulder to Lorna as the princess storms off. "When you're done banging your head uselessly against the wall, we're a text away." Emma calls, almost sounding cheery and friendly as she sits back down and looks to Rogue and demands. "Spill it."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue watches Lorna step out of the kitchen, or sweep out of the kitchen in a haze of stress... she just glances back to Emma. "Anyone who gets in that girl's way is goin' home in a BODY bag." She then states dismissively before she watches the white queen drop the 1st pair of cuffs back with the 2nd.

She just shrugs her shoulders inside of that pale army green long sleeved tshirt she's wearing. "I had t'break up a fight with some weirdos. Ya know, half robot types. The Cops showed up. One've was young, around my age. He found out I was an Avenger, said he'd seen me fightin' Frost Giants once on television. Said he'd love t'have me on the 'Force' with him. So he insisted I take all this stuff."

She pauses then and clears her throat. "And asked me out on a date for Halloween night. Costume party, or some shit, with the Cops. Which sounds like it could be amazin', or horrible. I'm not sure."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I will help you get a costume if you'll wear it and let me know how the party goes." Emma says with a smirk on her lips briefly before she reaches a hand out of her hoodie to gather up the tablet and gives the southerner a smile. "You know I'm going to give you some hard times about going to officers balls and childish mocks such as that." Emma says with a playful wink almost before she stands up from the table once more and begins to walk towards the doorway.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue leans against the counter then and crosses her arms against her stomach, she smirks at Emma's words to her. "I seem t'recall you bustin' up one'a my Halloweens a couple years ago, then surprisin' me with a hellava gift." She responds, taunting the woman but doing it in a playful way. "A costume from you? I'm terrified, but also curious. So I'll wait'n'see what ya come up with." Rogue then gathers up her stuff and moves to sit in the windows at the kitchen table, taking her tea with her to drink and enjoy some time in the kitchen at least until some students come in and make it less enjoyable.
