Cast of Characters: Polaris, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel (Danvers), Rogue

Polaris has posed:
Lorna had been trying to not obsess over the incident in Genosha, but with most investigations stalled and her day to day routine disturbed her ability to work through her stress fell into her over planning skills. Meaning, she'd planned a fabulous, over the top birthday celebration for the twins. She knew that their birthday was soon to come and she knew that it would be hard to pin down both of them at once...

And as it turned out, Pietro was off being the speedster that he was, and so, Lorna settled for plan c... regarding birthday plans. The expensive restaurant was thrown out, and her plans changed. A more homey, relaxed setting was chosen instead. The hole in the wall pub and bar in Mutant Town would do. It was less likely to draw negative issues for the two Princesses to visit, and less likely to draw negative attention too.

The green haired mutant settled into a corner booth, settled in the plush leather of the seat and with a wrapped gift settled on the table top beside her. She was dressed in a simple pair of jeans, T-shirt, and leather jacket. Her green eyed gaze sweeping over the bar and back.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
A car pulls up out front of the pub and Wanda emerges from it. She glances around the familiar street, knowing the pub well. She pauses to look at the door before entering it. To some it might just look freshly painted, though Wanda knows the other one was literally blown into bits when it got between herself and the gangsters who were kidnapping Josh from the sidewalk outside.

She makes her way, in a faint blush on her cheeks for that memory. She'd paid for the repairs, but seeing the welcoming smiles of the wait staff upon her arrival were a balm for Wanda. She spots her sister easily enough and heads over to join her. If Lorna gets up on her arrival, she gets wrapped in a warm hug. Not just a brief greeting one like might have been the case a few months ago when the pair were still mostly distant to each other. A big long, appreciates-the-hell-out-of-her-sister hug which Wanda is prone to giving Lorna now.

"Thank you for this, it's so great getting to spend it with you. I hope Pietro is able to make it. We'll never know until we feel the whoosh of wind that he's arrived," she says with a soft, warm laugh. Wanda looks in good shape. Those days of her hair being dry and unwashed are past. Even in the days before losing Josh, Wanda's face was often a bit worried and drawn. None of that is there to be seen now.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
There are more than a few invitations for parties and the like that find their way to the Avengers Mansion. Everything from intimate little dinners to the kind of widescale festivities that would make Jay Gatsby blush. As a general rule, Carol would make herself as 'tentative' which was, as everyone in the Mansion knew, Carol-Code for 'I'm definitely not coming.' This, however, was a different case. Wanda was a teammate, after all. Also, Carol had been laying back watching Empire when Wanda had mentioned it - it'd be kind of hard to pretend she was busy.

Carol had insisted Wanda go ahead of her, giving her some time to catch up with her sister and talk about family things like who had the weirder adoptive parents - things like that. A short while later, Carol lands in an unobtrusive way in one of the alleyways outside and then pushes in through the bar's side entrance. Her brow immediately furrows at something, and her hands seem to dig a bit deeper into the pockets of her jacket.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna stood as she caught sight of Wanda and flashed her older sibling a grin, and made to return the embrace with a tight wrapping of her arms around Wanda's shoulders. She lingered, her eyes closing briefly and she only stepped back as Wanda did so. It made for a curiously longer hug, but it was one that the youngest magnet needed desperately.

"Of course! You and everyone were so thoughtful for my birthday, I wanted to return the favor! I feel like I could make some kind of a joke that father has children born in October, but that's rather low hanging fruit." She joked as she leaned back.

The magnokinetic glanced about once and back, sweeping back her green haired locks with a self-conscious sort of manner. "I think I saw a framed picture of Dad somewhere around here. Looked really ominous. Cape and all." She continued.

"Anyways, I got you a little something, I dunno if you want to open it now or later."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda does let Lorna go, but only after she's had a chance for her care for her sister to be expressed in the embrace. "They've probably had enough of our family in here. I had to pay for a new entranceway here," Wanda says, glancing back at the door with a rueful chuckle. "But I'm kidding, the staff were very sweet."

Wanda moves to take a seat in the booth. "Yes, it does seem to be a coincidence, doesn't it?" she agrees on their birthdays. "I wonder if yours was anything like ours. Apparently it was accompanied by the fiercest of storms over the mountain we were born on," Wanda says.

She looks up as she spots Carol slipping in through the side door. A hand is raised to help get her attention, and a smile of white teeth is flashed over to her teammate. "Carol made it," Wanda says, rising again to offer her a quicker hug than Lorna got. "Sweet of you to make it," she says warmly. Wanda looks back to the present. "Oh, well, I'd normally say I'd wait for Pietro. But knowing him maybe I should open it now?" she suggests.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"I haven't seen him," Carol says of Pietro as she approaches the booth, "I think you're probably safe to open your present. Not like he couldn't be here in an instant if he wanted to - if he's gonna miss out, that's his own damn fault."

The blonde avenger pauses at the front of the booth, reaches behind her and pulls a chair from an empty table. She places it at the head of the booth's table, forsaking either side and instead sitting there. She has no drink, but she nevertheless gazes back towards the bar once or twice.

"Happy birthday, Wanda," she tells her teammate, before glancing over to Lorna, "And a belated one to you, too."

There's a pause, then she adds: "I didn't bring a gift. I'm, uh, kind of terrible at picking them out."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna settled back into the booth with care, and reached over for the carefully wrapped present, holding out as the wrapping paper crinkled slightly under her grip. "Well, if Pietro shows up I have a gift to give him too. Otherwise, he can have it later." Lorna flashed her older sister a smile, her gaze swinging toward Carol and offering the blonde woman a nod and shrug.

"I think it's cool, Wanda likely won't hold it against you." She teased, and glanced side long at her older sibling.

Inside the wrapped package was a hand carved set of jewelry. A pair of earrings made of a cut piece of oak, and small round beads inlaid with red garnets, and tiny flecks of gold, and matching bracelet.

"I made them, I had time to kill so.." She shrugged and glanced at Carol as the other woman wished her a belated birthday.

"Thanks."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's smile is confirmation of Lorna's words that she won't hold it against Carol. "I'm just glad that you made it," Wanda says warmly as Carol pulls up the chair. "You'll like the food here too. The bbq bacon burger as I remember it is was very good," Wanda says in her quiet Eastern European accent.

She looks back to Lorna, grinning as she passes the beautifully wrapped present over. "Thank you, sister," Wanda tells her. She opens it up, and Wanda's face lights up as she sees the jewelry inside. "Oh, these are beautiful," Wanda says at first.

But then Lorna reveals the jewelry was handmade. "Oh, Lorna, you did exquisite work," she says, her eyes widening a bit. It doesn't seem lost on Wanda that the materials are things Lorna wouldn't be able to use her power on. She reaches across the booth to grab Lorna's hand and give it a tight squeeze. "I love them," she says. Wanda slips on the bracelet, and removes the small studs she was wearing already to put in the new ones. "How do they look?" she asks.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't know Wanda as well as some of the Avengers, but they have spent a bit of time together, enough to get to knoe one another on some level.

So when she was invited, she decided to come. Its about an hour and a half drive south of Salem Center, so she's running a bit late. The door opens to the bar and the not-21-year-old strides inside. In a leather bomber jacket, stylish aviators, low-rise blue jeans, knee-high leather boots, black gloves and a black top that has a sheer-upper-half (except for a modesty line over her chest) Rogue steps on inside, pauses a few steps in and rises a hand to pull her sunglasses off her eyes and out of her mane of dark brown and white locks.

Her right gloved hand runs through her hair, making it more sexy-messy than anything, and she starts to walk to where she spots familiar faces with a grin on her own.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"Those look great," Carol compliments Wanda and Lorna all in one, tilting her head to one side, "Let me get a picture."

A moment later she's produced a phone from her pocket - one of the latest out of Stark-Fujikawa to replace the one that was broken during her run-in with Sebastion. She holds it up, accesses the camera, and then frames both daughters of the House of M in her shot.

"Say: 'Where's my damn crown!?'"

As she takes the photo, Carol glances sidelong to spot the newest arrival. She looks at Rogue intently for a moment before looking down at her own clothes. There's no denying they're dressed similarly. Still, her days of being deeply bothered by that are long past ... for the most part.

Instead, the blonde raises a hand and gestures Rogue over.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shrugged once, tucking her hands beneath the table to hide any nicks to her finger tips or hints of splinters. To be fair, she'd balanced the wooden beads between metal tools. Learning over and over again how to spin, carve and rotates the intricately carved beads to create a fairly smooth surface. Finishing everything off with carefully high grade sandpaper and inlaying the precious gold beads and garnet chunks where appropriate.

"They look amazing on you, but anything does.. SO. Moot point on my end." She drawled, and Lorna let her older sister take hold of her hand and give them a tight squeeze.

Carol's picture moment earned a flash of a smile and the green haired woman glanced back at Rogue's arrival with an arched eyebrow. "Hey trouble."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda laughs warmly and smiles for the picture that Carol takes. "Keep talking like that to me and I'm going to not let you go away again," Wanda tells Lorna.

The latest arrival shows up, and Wanda flashes a grin to Rogue. "I didn't expect you to make it. Really glad that you were able to," she says, knowing it's a bit of a trip down from Westchester, and especially with traffic what it is this time of day.

"We don't know if Pietro will make it or not," Wanda says. "But we can settle in for some good food and company either way." A waitress comes over with menus, passing them around. "How are you doing Anna-Marie? Are things well at the school?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue drags a chair noisely across the floor to park it back-facing toward the table and right beside her bestest pal Carol Danvers. She then straddles the chair backwards and places her forearms across its top. "Hey there, hot ladies." She says in a sassy voice with a big grin as her eyes roam over each of their faces. With a heavy exhale she looks to Wanda and shakes her head, then waves a hand. "I don't even remember what Pietro looks like, so big deal." She's teasing of course, maybe.

She then drops a hand down to her jacket and pulls a pair of wrapped presents up, they're about the size of a tablet or ipad each. She sets them down on the table and slides them to Wanda. "Happy birthday, Witchay Woman." Rogue smiles, all proud of herself. "Wrapped'em myself. Look it." She taps one gloved finger against the red and black wrapping paper. "Its got a W pattern. For Waaaaanda." Her eyes light up and her smile returns, she laughs. "I'm so clever."

She glances over to Carol and elbow bumps her, since she'd elected to sit right beside the inter-galactic bombshell of a super hero.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"Hey, you," Carol smiles as Rogue sits alongside her, repaying the elbow nudge with one of her own, "Caused any chaos lately?"

It's all said in good humor, and for the most part the blonde Avenger seems happy to sit with Rogue. Wanda's mention of the burger, however, raises Carol's eyebrows and she suddenly remembers that she's starving. Being bristling full of destructive energy is hungry work, after all.

She lifts a hand and tries to get the attention of someone to come over and take their order. Is it that kind of place? She can't really tell.

As she waits, she shoots the photos off to Wanda for safekeeping. Carol doesn't make good use of the cloud and she's known for smashing her phone with super strength if the mood and situation calls for it.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shrugged again in regards to their sibling that was absent, Pietro always came and go was he wanted. He was faster than the wind and just as chaotic. "What do you mean 'go away again'? I didn't go anywhere." She at least of all her siblings remained a constant. Genosha or the Mansion, it seemed to her at least. Either way the youngest sibling smiled and nudged Wanda with her shoulder.

"What do you like to eat here? My treat." She glanced at the plastic covered pub menu, arching a brow as she eyed the contents and found it.. surprisingly diverse. Her gaze swung back toward Rogue and she exhaled a breath. "Just picture our father, but younger and skinny." She drawled at Rogue's comment about forgetting what Pietro even looked like.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff tells Lorna with a laugh, "I mean I won't let you go away where I can't hear you paying such sweet compliments!" She grins across the booth at her sister and then looks back to the others as Rogue slides the presents over. "Aw, thank you," Wanda says as she takes them and opens them up.

As she does, the waitress is there to take Carol's order. It definitely is that kind of place. "I have only had the burger I mentioned, and some chicken fingers," Wanda says. The Transian woman says, "I've never understood why they are called chicken fingers. Wouldn't that be feathers?" she asks, before turning back to see what is inside Rogue's presents.

Wanda pulls out the electronic picture frames. One has an image of Lorna in it wearing a blond wig. Wanda touches the picture and it starts up, showing a video of Lorna ice skating, and from the way she's moving it seems she's having more trouble with the skating because she's drunk than because of the ice. Lorna falls in the video and Wanda covers up her mouth to try to hide her laugh, but it gets out anyway.

The other one? Lorna, drunk still, singing Monster Mash while walking down a street and cheering at random passersby. "Oh. Oh Rogue. These are... priceless," Wanda says, laughing warmly and grinning to her sister.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue has to grin at Carol and nod her head once at her. "You know it, Sugah." She says in a sultry sort've way after leaning over to bump shoulders with the blond. "Wouldn't have it any othe'ah way in fact." She adds before swaying back over to her own air space. She averts her eyes over to Lorna then.

"Oooo, a younger Erik, ya say? Maybe its been too long since me'n Pietra hung out... now I'm hopin' he shows up." She looks over her shoulder toward the doorway, playing-up the 'looking for Pietro' motions now.

With a grin she looks back and spies Wanda diving into her gives. Sooooo... in preparation, Rogue hunkers down on her chair she's straddling and she plants her chin on the back of it with her gloved hands on either side of said chin fingers all straight and aimed downward. As the gifts are opened, Rogue's smile gets bigger and bigger in anticipation.

Once they're revealed, she points with her right hand, but keeps her head down on the chair like she's almost about to hide behind it cause Lorna's gonna throw something at her probably.

"The ice skatin' one is both funny and beautiful really..." Rogue says. "I figure the other one is gonna get broke before we leave here t'night though. Ya hang'em on your wall and just tap'em t'make'em play any time ya wanna watch!"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"Hah!"

Carol can't help but let out a single, barking laugh as she looks at the video picture frames. She tilts her head to one side, watching one and then the other as they're played. She can't help but grin, turning her attention to Lorna with raised eyebrows.

"You Genoshans have more fun than I'd thought," she offers, admiringly.

When food is ordered, Carol seems immediately contented. Knowing that the food is on its way is enough to ease her rumbling stomach - for now at least.

"Damn," she says with a sigh, "Now I feel extra awful that I didn't get you anything."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna made an 'awww' sound at Wanda's comment about keeping her around, but as the gift from Rogue was unwrapped her expression darkened immediately. Heat rose to her cheeks, and stained them a cherry red that suggested her hair color was related more closely to a fair haired ginger or blonde. She shot Rogue a look that could have melted stone, or sent any number of Genoshan dignitaries scrambling to bow and promise her anything under the sky.

"I know where you sleep." She shot back, turning her gaze to the menu and ordering with a stonily cold tone of voice.
% The Princess was not amused.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda looks towards Rogue at the mention of Pietro. "I can't even quite decide how that would go, but I'm pretty sure there would be some form of destruction that ensued before it was over. Probably with you flying around chasing him across the country, throwing heavy objects at him while he apologized," Wanda tells Rogue with a laugh.

She slides over to the end of the booth to wrap an arm around Carol where she sits in her chair. "You take me into space and give me my first view of Saturn. I'll call that a gift," she says warmly to her teammates.

She also leaves out the horde of alien creatures that had to be fought. That part can serve for a Christmas present.

Wanda flashes a smile over to Lorna as she sees her sister's reaction. "Family is nothing if we can't laugh at one another," she says, reaching over to give Lorna's hand another squeeze. "You should have seen me last April when I had too much wine. I threatened horrible things to JARVIS's memory core if the video wasn't deleted," she says with a blush and a laugh.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue keeps low behind the chair for the most of the present reveal, but she does tip her head so she can look sidelong to Carol. "Its sorta like they came from you too, in a twisted sorta way." She bluntly says, because she's like a wrecking ball like that. A light smile is shown before she looks back to the sisters.

At Lorna, Rogue then sits up again all straight and tall. A big grin of course. "Come ooooon." She goes with her best defense strategy. The 'come on' defense. Her gloved right hand motions to the motion photos. "Look at those moments captured in time. You are legit havin' some serious fun. More than you usually eeeever do. That stuff needs'ta be archived and cherished!"

A smile to Wanda then. "Long as I win in the end, which I mean, its a given, right?"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"You took to the whole outer space adventures thing a lot better than I thought you would, Wanda," Carol admits with a bashful sort of smile, "Hell, now that this whole sentinel thing has blown over we should see about taking another trip. If the last one didn't make you too space sick?"

She glances sideways at Rogue, elbowing her gently once again, "You can come too, you know. If you're not still afraid of space."

Then, almost realizing her lapse in manners, she turns her attention to Lorna: "That invitations open to you as well, Lorna, if you're interested. I'm rapidly becoming Space Uber and I'm kind of okay with it, honestly."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shot Rogue another look, "If this is the result of 'having fun' then I'm definitely not doing so again around you." She grumbled, crossing her arms as she glanced at Wanda, somewhat mollified as her older sister softened the blow of her friend having //filmed// her drunk antics. Most of which she herself couldn't remember clearly.

She huffed once, shooting Rogue a narrowed eye look that promised revenge, even as Carol spoke of outer space trips and ubers. The green haired woman shook her head, "Thanks but no thanks. I don't want to know what it would do to me to leave the Earth's electromagnetic fields behind. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it if I'm honest."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda placed her order with the waitress, and after the time spent looking at the videos, the food is reading and gets delivered to the table. Wanda got the burger again, with an extra dill spear on the side, and some cajun seasoning on the french fries. Also she got a plate of fried pickles for the table to snack on.

Wanda tells Carol, "To be honest I was pretty nervous. The whole vacuum thing has always seemed just a horrible way to go. But, the view was pretty incredible." Wanda pulls out her phone and pulls up the snaps she made of Saturn. There's also an alien craft in a few of them, but mostly they were just pictures of the view of the ringed planet. She shows them to the others at the table.

"There are so many demands placed on us. I learned after awhile to embrace the fun when I can," Wanda tells her sister. "And Rogue, is nothing if not fun," she adds with a chuckle.

The waitress finishes putting plates of food in front of everyone. "Anything else you need?" she asks. She looks to Wanda and says, "I haven't seen Josh in here in awhile. how is he doing?"

Wanda gives a pleasant enough smile back to the waitress. "Busy. If I have the chance I'll pass along you said hi," Wanda says, a suitably friendly statement, even if it avoids the truth of the matter. The waitress moves off and Wanda focuses for a moment on her burger, quiet as she cuts it in half to make it easier to eat, it being kind of tall.

Rogue has posed:
Truth be told, Rogue didn't film Lorna. She found the videos online posted by people she knew who DID film her and upload them. But still. That detail probably remains under wraps.

Rogue just looks between the others, wraps her fingers on the back of the chair and nods to Carol once. "I do hate space. Vehemently in fact. Its weird and its confusin' and people say its just the simulation that we all live inside've that is rapidly expandin' until one day it'll all black back inta the center'a the universe and another Big Bang'll happen which just resets everythin' t'do it all ove'ah again. I mean legit, what is there t'like about space? Its the worst. It represents all've our mortalities. Even like, Deadpool's." She's been listening to weird podcasts lately before falling asleep.

BUT, with a heavy sigh, Rogue shakes her head and looks around for the waitress. "Can I get a beer? Whatever's darkest and most expensive? Thanks. I like beer like I like my men, right?" A snorty laugh follows that last part.

She glances back to Carol and smiles at her. "But yes, I'll go. Only if I get t'punch other things from space though. I dig this punchin' stuff like ya wouldn't believe." She mimes a punch out into the air above the table and even adds a quiet vocalized "Pow!" to cap it off.

Her hands back on her chair, Rogue looks to Wanda's phone and the imagery she has there. She grins at the compliment the Scarlet Witch provides her and nods once to the phone. "Ya didn't happen t'see Elon Musk's car out there did ya? I heard there's a legend that when he shot inta space years back, that there was a dead body inside the space suit that was in the driver's seat." She glances to Lorna (not skipping a beat with her fuming vengeful rage-filled glares) and Carol. "Totally wanna find it and rip it open t'see whats inside."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"You know what baffles me?" Carol asks, "It's twenty twenty-seven. We have an actual space station - more than one! We're teleporting from Earth to orbit like we were dialing for pizza. But nobody has officially landed on Mars yet. I feel like with all of the flying super-people around, we'd have done that by now?"

She shakes her head, waving a hand dismissively. Astronaut concerns.

When the food arrives, Carol eagerly tucks in to the point where she just starts talking altogether. She nods appreciatively at both Wanda and Lorna, and frowns when Rogue talks smack about space - but then says she'll go anyway. All of it without any words from Captain Marvel, who just holds her burger (not cut into pieces because she is tough) and munches away at it.

"Mf uf fuuhfuhfuh!"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna picked at the fries she'd ordered, her thoughts more or less on her sibling's birthday and overwhelming desire to do just about anything to make her sister's day special. Even if it meant just glowering slightly at Rogue. Though she didn't argue with Wanda's words about having fun, it was clear the green haired mutant was about to hold a very long grudge.

As the waitress mentioned Josh, Lorna reached out a hand to Wanda's arm, settling there gently and giving her older sister a means of silent support without judgement.

"To be fair, I don't actually //fly//.. I hover. Pull myself via the magnetic fields like I'm yanking on strings. Or push off the core. So really, I cheat. I don't know what would happen to my powers in space if I really went out there."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
The waitress nods to Rogue, "Coming up," she says of the dark beer order, and heading off towards the bar to get one. The comments from the woman about Josh left Wanda a little quiet, but as Lorna reaches over to rest her hand there, Wanda looks back to her sister. "It's ok. It's... in the past now," she says quietly. "I've had to move on and... well," she says quietly, shrugging.

Wanda looks like she's also hungry, and if she's just slightly more subdued, the burger is comfort food at least. She starts in on it, if less verbally than Carol. There is a soft, appreciative sound made though as she bites into the bbq burger. She ends up with a large smear of bbq sauce along one side of her mouth.

"I think someone was flirting with me the other day. This nice man who runs a little magic shop. Helped me research what turned out to be Loki tapping magic from the ley lines," she comments in a tone as if not quite sure about something. Maybe whether it was flirting, or of how she felt about it if it was.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just grins at Carol and her food, admiring her 'secret idol' as she enjoys the tastey burger. But its her unrecognizable words that make Rogue just snicker all the more amused. "Mmmmmm hmmmm. My thoughts exactly, Blondy." She tells the most powerful Avenger.

Her gaze sweeps back over to Red and Green and she smiles at both of them. Rogue sits up then and reaches over the table to grab a few napkins. "Josh is a dumb mother fucker." She brazenly just says it, super casual, like no big deal and grabs a few napkins then drops her ass back back down onto the chair and the stack of napkins in front of her on the table, waiting for her beer. Anyone who knows Rogue well enough though, will know she's kind've at her wits end with bad unreliable men.

"Wait. We've never landed on Mars?" She states, her dark eyebrows lower over her green eyed gaze. "How does Batman have a house on the moon, but nobody has ever put a foot on Mars?"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"I try not to weigh in on all the relationship business," Carol opines, wrapping an arm around Rogue's shoulders, "But I have to side with my erstwhile colleague and off-site memory storage device here. Josh is assuredly a dumb mother fucker."

She takes a moment to shoot Wanda a surreptitious wink, setting her now half-eaten burger back down on the plate just so she can talk without succumbing to the overwhelming urge to take another barbeque-flavored bite.

"You mightn't have powers away from Earth," she says to Lorna with a shrug, "But, I mean, that's how most astronauts live their day to day. Are you sure you're not at least a little curious about what's up there? There's a reason we, as a species, have been looking at the sky since we realized it was there."

Rogue's mention of Batman's moon house gets a perplexed look from Carol, and when she asks about Mars the blonde simply shrugs her shoulders: "I guess with places like the Kree Empire and Oa out there, we've lost interest in our own backyard. It's the same reason some people live in New York their whole lives and never visit the Statue of Liberty."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna scooted closer to her sister, and offered a half Rogue a stiff nod in regards to the comment about Josh. But the younger half sister of the two remained hesitant to even speak of the Ex's name out loud. Still the conversation drifted and the green haired woman picked at her fries, grabbing the ketchup and filling up a good chunk of her plate in a drizzle. She sighed and exhaled a breath.

"See, I don't think I would be necessarily without powers. Several things might happen. I know I am bonded to the Earth's magnetic fields. And in theory, the whole universe has its own magnetic field. Each planet, star, and so on has them. Would I be able to bond to those worlds? The universe's central fields? Would I have to rebond as I go? Would my powers grow?" She shook her head.

"I'm not in the market for such questions. I have a duty to people here on Earth. Now, if you wanted to establish a new world for mutant kind, maybe then I could get involved."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda has an appreciative look for her friends as they speak in her defense as friends often do of ended relationships. But she gives a little shake of her head. "No, he isn't. I can't blame him," Wanda says, setting down her burger.

She keeps her voice quiet, her words succinct despite the enormity of their meaning. "We shared a bond between our souls. It was meant to be temporary, him guiding my magic to heal the magic side of the damage from Hook," Wanda says of the drug. "But it lasted. Something to do with his power, but more to do with our emotions that kept it strong," Wanda says.

"So I felt it when he died, before his power brought him back. And... that was nothing compared to what he felt when my father pulled my soul from my body and imprisoned it," Wanda says quietly. "He couldn't come back from that. And... and so I let him go," she says softly.

Wanda clears her throat, moving the conversation on so no one feels a need to comment, after she's offered her defense of Josh. "Well, I don't know that Mars could be more interesting than what I saw while we were up there. But I think you should go if you get the chance. I appreciate Carol being our interplanetary Uber," she says with a smile.

Rogue has posed:
When Carol puts an arm around her, Rogue affectionately lays her head down on Carol's shoulder and keeps it there. "Your memories are safe with me, Sugah." She says to her older friend, the person Mystique wanted dead, or used as a power source for Rogue, now that plan has backfired on her and the blue skinned psychopath is the one Rogue would rather see dead or... at least never again.

Her head shoots up again though when her beer arrives, because, of course. She does the 'grabby hands' toward it and reaches out to take it up to sip from it. Her eyes look up to Lorna and Wanda then, as she dabs at her lips with a napkin she nods to Lorna.

"We could start Genosha, the planet, if we went t'Mars." She states with a sly grin. "Maybe you'd be more powerful there? Interesting experiment t'find out..." Then she glances at Wanda and shakes her head. "I wish I could just make ya smile more. But my relationship advice begins an' ends at Dr. Phill levels'a depth, and I'm pretty sure that old Texan bastard's head would explode at the depth and scope'a everything you just talked about in your last hookup."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna pursed her lips as Wanda spoke, leaning in closer and reaching out to wrap her arm around her older sister's shoulders. "This is your birthday. Your day. You don't have to explain anything to anyone Wanda." She offered softly, and gave her older sister a gentle squeeze if allowed. She would draw back after a moment, and slide out from behind the booth.

"I gotta go find the wash room. Be back in a bit." She murmured, excusing herself.
