Robins Stop All Crimes
Date of Scene: 02 November 2019
Location: Cobble Hill, Old Gotham
Synopsis: Friends of Humanity members attempt to abduct Andrea Jackson, only to be stopped by Robin, Andrea, and her badass bodyguard! Words were had, Robin didn't kill anyone.
Cast of Characters: Robin (Wayne), Rage

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Gotham City Stadium was not just home of GCFC, it was also a popular outdoor venue for concerts and other such events. The event tonight happened to be a concert headlined by Andrea Jackson, the songstress mutant that has done many great things for the mutant cause.

While Gotham was not known for its heavy presence of the Friends of Humanity, there had been a cell that went unknown for a time here.

Four men in a van loaded their AR-15s, placing themselves close to the exit of the stadium, waiting for Andrea to make her way out to return wherever she would be tonight.

The group donned ski masks and waited for their quarry.

Rage has posed:
The show went off without a hitch and she brought the roof down with club banging beats and high tempo pop songs. She snuck in a single from her upcoming third album that is due to be released much to the crowd's delight.

Once the show ended and she got dressed in her civilian clothes, she looks just like any other teenage girl, except flanked by her bodyguard James as they head for her tour bus where it will take her to the hotel for the night before heading back to NYC in the morning. James, as always, is built like a steel truck with a sidearm on his hip, a pair of shades and a radio in his ear as he communicates with the bus driver.

"Lourve is on the way back to the nest." He speaks into his ear piece as he keeps a hand on Andrea's shoulder to shield her away from the paparazzi that waits out back with cameras flashing.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
As the pop star made her way out, the group started their flanking. An ambush on three sides. A couple of shots out was all it took for the chaos to start. Paparazzi started to scream and run, the gunmen were methodical, trained well by the way they moved, guns up, lasers pointed directly at James and Andrea. The pointman strikes at James with the stock of his gun, the bodyguard was not the target here. Andrea was. "Give us the girl, man, you don't need to die today." He comments.

Elsewhere, Robin had heard the two gunshots, he knew who was playing the stadium tonight, with a tut of his tongue, he rushed to the stadium on the Redbird, the motorcycle that was synonymous with Robin, if not a little less recognizable than the Batmobile proper.

Rage has posed:
The gunshots ring out and cause James to immediately pull his firearm from his holster in a quick, well practiced move. He is an ex-Marine. Sniper. He has also seen some shit in his numerous tours overseas. Punks in the street don't scare him, especially with a bullet proof vest under his suit.

Whipping the gun upwards, he points it at the men with a snarl in his throat. "Drop /your/ weapons or I will plug you with enough lead you'll be using your dicks for pencils."

James is -really- good at talking shit. He also positions himself in front of Andrea so that she is tucked back behind him. "If you got women to go home to, I'm giving you the chance to do." The safety is not on and he is drawing sightlines down on the guy talking.

"And if you don't take off." Andrea calls out from behind James, her voice rippling with a deeper rumble in her chest. "Then I will get mad, and /I/ will make you move."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The gunmen were in a diamond formation, one in front, two side by side, and one in back.

The point man kept the laser on James. While the two spread out, to either side. "Shut the fuck up, mutie cunt." At his point, the one in front shot at James' midsection, these bullets were not the armor piercing type, but as with any body armor, it still hurts like hell.

Once the shot rang out, the two that flanked Andrea moved, they grabbed at her, they were going to drag her to the van. Obviously they did not know what they were messing with.

At this point, Robin heard enough shots to know exactly where he was needing to go. Jumping over the barricade and through the parking lot, the electric motorcycle roared with a piercing whine as he slid to a halt in front of the van. The quickest assessment of the situation had him throw down three smoke pellets, masking his movements and their range of vision. "It's the Bat!" The rear thug yelled, taking pot shots through the smoke at Robin.

Rage has posed:
James takes the bullet like a champ as it strikes his body armor, throwing him back a bit. There is not even a grunt of pain, not from this man. The gun goes off quickly in his hands, double tap, putting two into the chest of the man that shot at him. "Andrea!"

As she is grabbed and dragged for the van, she gives a quick hard thrash of her arms, snarling louder in her throat. "Let me go!" She yells at the men. With a hard kick of one foot, she looks to send it into the side of one of her captor's knee caps, putting enough force into it to buckle his leg, followed by ramming her weight into the other. She's trained for this. She's a New Mutant.

"James!" Her voice is becoming /growly/ now.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
The front man was knocked back, the armor he wore also absorbing the damage. At that point, he drove a kick into James' head.

Robin had made his work against the rear man, three shots are heard after some strikes. One shot after, and a yell rings out, followed by a thud.

The two goons are taken down easily, one knee broken and one thug knocked down.

Through the smoke, a laser pierced through, visible in the particles, aimed directly at the front man. One shot, to the foot, and he's down on a knee. "Goddamn! Report!" His voice strained through pain. Robin doesn't say a thing, only the clanking of metal on metal, and pavement as Robin renders the firearm useless and field stripped. The smoke at this point was thinning, figures and colors are easily seen, but there's a haze over this area, like a club in the 90's.

Rage has posed:
There is a loud 'thunk' as the boot hits James in the face, causing his head to jerk backwards and his mouth filling with blood. Spitting out a tooth, he unloads the clip of his baretta into the man, point blank, and ensuring that his face will be Sloppy Joe on the pavement. Blood splatters the concrete and his expensive suit as he stares down at the man coldly before he turns to the others.

The man with the broken knee cap gets rewarded with a spin kick to the face as Andrea uses her heel to smash into his nose, followed by a hammer strike into the back of his neck. As she wheels around to face the other, she throws her fists upwards, fingers curled inwards, bobbing on her ankles in a kick-boxer stance. Her teeth are starting to sharpen, dark fur sprouting along her arms. "RUN." She nearly howls at the man she knocked down.

Through her heightened senses she spies the red bird in the smoke, taking on the other assailant.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Swiss cheese would be a good assessment of the front man, after one hit to the leg, he was already down, James finished the job. Dental records would be useless to identify him.

The broken nose, and the strike to the neck, thumps the cervical nerve, and the body lands like a rag doll, still breathing, no other movements, the guy was done.

The last assailant ran, like a roach and a newly turned on light, he skittered, not paying attention to whom he was running into.

By the time he turned his head from Andrea, he was face first in a golden R. "Heh, you fucked up." Robin comments, planting his fist in the guy's neck, a telltale crackle of electricity zaps him on the neck, and is down, convulsing for the scant seconds the PEPS worked its magic to his nervous system.

Rage has posed:
James has no problem with putting a dog down, especially in a city like Gotham which has a reputation of not giving two shits. With the type of criminals that run these streets, it's not surprising the good guys give back just as hard once in awhile. With the threat neutralized, he holsters his weapon and reaches out for Andrea to pull her closer.

By now, the New Mutant has calmed down, at least enough that the wolf isn't leaping out of her skin. The traces of fur is gone, so is her teeth as she leans into her bodyguard with a controlled breath. "From here out, we travel with three of you." She says to the large military man.

As her eyes level on Robin, she stares for a moment, then lets out a noisy sigh. Him. Just had to be /him/. "... Thank you for intervening."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Through the dissipating haze, a green hologram pops up from Robin's gauntlet, typing out a few commands, relaying to the GCPD and EMS.

Robin knew full well who it was he had just saved. He simply nodded at Andrea. The sirens of Gotham'a finest and Bravest were on the way.

"Superman is still a villain. He does not deserve to rest peacefully. Neither do these mongrels." He says, kicking the now unconscious gunman in front of him. "But we protect Gotham. Even visitors."

Rage has posed:
"You owe me an apology." Andrea says as she steps away from James, making her way towards him as she folds her arms over her chest. "I'm sorry for /your/ loss, but you had no right in treating me in such a way on live television in front of millions of people. The names you called me. You have any clue how that made me feel? It's /adorable/ that you have the luxury of running around in spandex and a stuipd mask and no one gets to stalk you on the Internet and ridicule you online about it."

As she stares at him, she gives a visible 'sniff' at the air around him. Just once. "I did nothing to deserve any of that. I don't know what beef Superman and Batman had prior or anything. I was there to pay respects to the dead, and I'd have done the same for Batman if I knew what happened. Both of them did great things for this world. I don't know your situation, or the truths or facts, and it's none of my business. But it's messed up what you did to me. It's hard enough being the face of mutant celebrity, and being attacked constantly online and obviously in the real world. Heroes don't rip on teenage girls, dude." She says, squinting at him.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin's white eyelets flare open, an instant of surprise and an aftershock of rage. "I owe you?" A defiant sneer from the other teen is all he offers at the moment. "You have any clue how millions of people coming together to sing kumbaya and hold hands and 'oh, I love Superman' made me feel? Where's Batman's statue? Where's his memorial? Did anyone other than me even shed a tear for him? No. Batman did more good for the world than anyone, including that fucking dead alien ever did. And he died, with no one but me recognizing his deeds. Batman's 'beef' was the fact that Superman lost it. He didn't just kill people. He spread their innards on the ground like jelly. These fuckers in Gotham threw parties to celebrate Batman's death. Superman's fucking ENEMIES show up to his funeral. Fuck that. And fuck you too."

Robin had no problem in laying out all of his anger toward anyone. But Andrea seemed to be the one that he would unleash it on. "I am sure that you live such a tough life. But you can leave it all in an instant. You choose to be in the spotlight, you live with the consequences."

Rage has posed:
Stepping forward into his personal space, Andrea jabs her finger into his chest. "You rolled up into a /funeral/, cut a head off a statue and went full dipshit crazy on live television. Not a single person knew Batman was dead, or how he would have died, but the way you went about things was inappropriate and ridiculous. I would have had no problem giving a eulogy for Batman as well, because I admired the hell out of him, but all you did was spit on his legacy by acting like a /child/, rather than composing yourself."

"You think I can just turn this shit off? Seriously? I'll just wake up one day and decide to not be famous? My life is set, dude, until people get bored of me. I've been in the spotlight since I was nine, and I'm not sure if you realize this, but I sort of have this major target on my back because I'm one of the most famous mutants on the planet." She sweeps her hand behind her to the fallen knocked out gunmen. "It's easy for a 'tough guy' like you to talk shit behind a mask. At least I got the balls to go out in public with my personal identity and preach unity and fight for mutant rights and accept all the consequences that come along with it. I'm not afraid."

"So yeah you owe me an apology, for how you treated me, because I did /not/ deserve that. I get that you're hurting and you're in pain, but you don't go around inflicting it upon innocent people who has nothing to do with this and that. You want a hug or something? I'll give you a hug. I'll even take you out for dinner and we can talk about this shit if you need to just let it off your chest. But don't hurt me in the process. I have enough scars this year to deal with."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin continues to argue while Andrea continues her speech. "Plenty of people decide to walk away from the spotlight. Dave Chapelle, Cary Grant, Cameron Diaz. You could do the same."

The intrusion into his personal space is ignored, though the finger to his chest thumps against armor plating underneath the red tunic of his uniform. "My life was set as well, and I defied those who set it for me." He comments, flipping up his hood, darkening his features so that only his white eyelets were seen clearly. "I apologize." He says plainly, and begrudgingly, the sidekick was not happy about it. "I still think Superman deserves to burn in hell."

Rage has posed:
"Those people aren't me. They aren't the face of a race of people who are being murdered in the streets by fucking /robots/ while the government does the bare minimum in looking to prevent it. No one gives a fuck about /us/." Andrea says, her throat tightening. "I do what I do so that I can inspire young mutants and let them know that someone out there loves them, cares about their well being. I'm not going to change my life until I know that one day, mutants and humans can live in peace, together."

Rubbing a hand along her face, she taps his chest plate a few more times with her finger, then sighs. ".. Apology accepted. I'm sorry for your loss. I really am. This world needs more heroes like him."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Those white eyelets lower for a few moments before he turns around.

The Redbird approaches, slowly, allowing Robin to mount the motorcycle. "You fight well." He comments, putting his hands on the handles of the motorcycle. "Did you ever ask yourself if mutants really need another messiah figure? It only serves to radicalize people." He asks with a shrug, then with a twist of his hand, he spins around, taking off at high speed as the impending sirens grow closer.

Rage has posed:
"I'm not a messiah. Just a role model for kids. Like Beyonce." Andrea says, then watches him speed off. "Call me!" She hollers out after him, then turns and strides past James. "Let's go. I'm not answering questions and I don't need this on TMZ."
