Cast of Characters: 143, Mercy Thompson, 142, Insect Queen (OMara)

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Its mid afternoon in Central Park. School is out for the weekend and things are really starting to get warmed up. The sun is rather warm, giving people a chance to just soak it up and enjoy the day. A few people have caught the fever and are throwing baseballs around and even trying to play a little game. Some people are busy playing chess. Others are just relaxing and soaking up the sun!

One of the newer people to actually visit Central park is a young woman with bluebell eyes and dark blue hair. Marinette has discovered this very lovely place and is completely thrilled over it! She happens to have found a spot under a tree and appears to have been sketching something or other. At least for now. That is until her phone rang. She is quietly talking to one of her friends back in Paris. Alya to be exact. The conversation could be difficult to follow as its all in french.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Another person is out and about enjoying the warmth and sun. That person is Mercy Thompson.

She locked her garage up good and tight, put the 'out to lunch' sign upon the door and left. She decided to hoof it over to Central Park for some quiet time, in-between rebuilds and repairs.

As such, she's still dressed within her mechanic coveralls, though beneath them she wears a simple black t-shirt and ragged-hemmed jeans. Her feet are covered by her typical steel-toed boots and as she walks there's the faint thud, from those heavy boots. She's making her way down one of the various pathways of the park, with the pathway bringing her near Marientte's tree. The sound of French causes the Coyote's ears to 'prick' upward and with a glance towards the side, Mercy will spy the blue-eyed and blue-haired young woman. A faint smile will tug her lips at the sight and conversation; though Mercy has no idea what's being said. German is about the only other language she understands besides English.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Early morning shoots were thw best for lighting and the worst this time of year. Its the summer line and even though the afternoon is warmn the morning was cold. Photoshoot done and with his afternoon looking freen Adrien thanks his lucky stars very very silently. It would be horrible to jinx himself with hia own horrible luck by thanking Lady Luck too loudly. Still in the summer line, but face clean of make up, Adrien finds himself walking through the park with his hands in his pocket, jist enjoying the day and the peace and the nothing to run off to do and the sounds of people being happy. He can live vicariously through their sounds as he walks alone.

Wait. French? Green eyes sweep about for the source, a very familiar face under a very not familiar tree.

Luck is his today! A friend so fsr from home!

With a more genuine smile, the model model turns his steps toward the tree under which Marinette is chatting with her BFF over the phone.

Insect Queen (OMara) has posed:
One of the people who have lived in the area their whole life is a young woman with blue eyes and black hair. Violet O'Mara has discovered this very lovely place long ago. It involved a dog on a leash, a runaway cat, a leash with a runaway ferret at one tangling into a baby carriage, and a baby Violet inside a carriage not ergonomically designed to prevent leashes with runaway ferrets at the opposite end from getting tangled into it. It was a simpler time, back then, they didn't have all the fancy safety concerns they have today.

Anyway, Violet stumbles in carrying a canvas satchel probably hand-crafted out of a tote bag, slaloming unobtrusively between the crowd of joggers and people just out for a walk, with just the faintest hint of awkwardness. Every time she crosses a person, she takes a moment to glance to them from head to toe, and smile, making a mental note of interesting details that she could incorporate in her own sketches, later. She mumbles comments to herself. "Oh, peruvian woolen hat. Unusual, for this time of the year, but passable." "Oh, look. Haven't seen one of those T-shirts in ages!" "Socks and sandals? Yuck." "Oooh... nice doggy." "What does that legal disclaimer sticker says? *squint* 'WARNING: carriage may snag into leash with ferret at opposite end.'" She sighs ans smiles. "Ah, the memories..."

She notices Marinette with her own sketchbook. Another artist! Excellent! Perhaps she can sit close to her and, who know, exchange tips...

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
The Bluenette smiles a little as she laughs about something or other. Thats when it happens... she sees Adrien. Her eyes go wide as she blinks a few times. "Adrien?!" The voice on the other end of the phone sounds excited and encouraging to Marinette. "I will Call you back Alya." She hangs up and steps closer to him. "H-hi! Adrien, what are you... Photo SHoot?" She stumbles over her words as she tries to work out what the devil she's trying to say. "I thought you were traveling abroad." Nope not thinking clear at all. Her heart is racing and there may as well be little hearts in her eyes over this.

Quietly she gives a little wave to the Coyote girl and then to the other artist. Then its right back to Adrien. "M-my parents opened a shop... I am helping ... Ya know?"

On the other end of the park, a young man is burning ants with a magnifying glass. While cruel, its something that some kids just do. Sadly that isn't all he is doing. He's setting leaves on fire too! A police officer walks up to him and just crosses his arms as he looks at the kid. "What! I ain't hurting anyone. Just some stupid ants and stupid leaves!"

The Cop looks at him, "Put it away or I will take it and your parents can pick it up at the station." The boy whines and puts his magnifying glass into his back pocket.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
When Adrien starts to make his way towards Marientte, Mercy can't help but turn her brown-eyed gaze towards the young man. He'll get a curiously quizzical look and when it's clear the two know each other, the Coyote can't help but smile again. It's only when Mercy's gaze turns back towards the pathway that she pauses yet again. This pause is for Violet, as Mercy recognizes the younger woman from the other day.

"It's going to be one of those days, isn't it." She murmurs to herself, at the irony of finding her 'rescuer' so easily. Still, that thought is pushed back into the recesses of her mind when Marinette offers a wave to her. The Coyote will wave right back, being the polite sort, and while her steps don't necessarily pause any more, they will slow, as her gaze flicks to Violet. And while she doesn't necessarily know that a kid is setting ants and leaves on fire, the faintest hint of smoke is smelled by Mercy's sensitive nose. Idly her gaze will cant in the general direction of that smoke, but nothing untoward is really seen by her, so her attention is only off the group nearest her for a few seconds.

Insect Queen (OMara) has posed:
Violet O'Mara kept practicing how to strike up conversation as she approached the tree, muttering under her breath. "'Hi, I see you're drawing too!' No, too blunt. 'Uhm ... hi.' Hm. No, too awkward. 'Hey, is that an Inca idol you're drawing? I didn't know you liked historical artifacts! Did you know I once worked in a museum?' ...no. Best not to attract attention to The Accident. Hm. Oh, I know! I'll just sit down and wait for /her/ to make eye contact. And as soon as she does... I'll just say 'Oh, hi! Are you an artist too?' all of a sudden! She'll think /she/ initiated the conversation!'" Pleased with herself, she reaches the tree just a couple of seconds later, and when she casts her glance to Marinette for the first time, ready for her crafty social siege, Marinette, who was talking turned the other way, springs up to greet her friend.

Violet stands there, hand limply wrapped around the strap of her tote bag, shoulders slumped, jaw dropped. She sighs, slumps down to sit cross legged. She does not seem to notice the boy burning ants, for now, engrossed as she is in her own thoughts. Instead, face propped up by one hand, whose corresponding forearm rests in the general area of her knee, she idly turns to look the other way, her gaze happening, by pure chanche, to hit Mercy's dead on. She panics at establishing eye contact. "...Oh, hi! Are you an artist too?", she blurts out.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Hi,Marienette," says Adrien and he draws near. The warm open of his smile falters slightly as she stammers at him. Sure that he still makes her uneasy, he stops several steps away.

"Umm.. yeah. Work. Your parents arw here? Thatxs great. I'll need to find the bew bakery, then. Maybr come by for some cr-*" Itxd an odd place for the model to cut one word off in favot of anothrr which in french, which he's speaking, doesnt even start with thw same sound. "cheese danish."

As he speaks, hus eyes follow Marinette's, seeing who shw waves at. The smike is in a heartbeat more reserved, though in every other way lookijg perfect. of course Marinette woukd have friends here. She's sweet and kind. people like her almost instantly. Thisnexpkains why shexs still awkward. Someine that wasnt even a close friwnd butting in.

As the frustration and annoyance of thw boy culminates within him, a dark chuckle fills a dark space. Hawkmoth, ever watchful for the lucky gem of Ladybug, sends out a corruption papillon. The small insect fluttrrs into existance near the boyxs back before alighting on his magnifying glass.

"Grown ups gave forgotten. Boys will be boys. Firelight, I am Hawkmoth. I will grant you the power to burn those grownups who would see you as insignificant as the ants. but in return, I need you to do something for me. When Ladybug arrives, you mist bring me her Miraculous."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"Oh! Its in Midtown! We have a little storefront place there. Its nice, if not a little weird. I am still getting used to all of the English speakers here." Marinette turns around and gives a warm smile to Violet. "Oh Bonjour! Oui I am! Nice to meet you, My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. A pleasure to meet you! I am going to start school soon at Parson's School of Design!" She smiles happily."

She gives a little smile and moves over to her things. She picks up a bag and smiles. "Would you all like to try my family's goods. I have some of our Samples with me!" She gets out a small box from her bag and opens it. Inside is a range of items from Mini croissants, to small danishes of different flavors, A few tarts, Mini cupcakes, and even a couple of the more high end treats which have been sized down. "My parents run Dupain Bakery and Patisseries." She smiles and offers them to everyone.

--------------------

Across the Park, The strange bug... The Akuma... It lands on the boy's magnifying glass as he is overcome with darkness. His eyes especially are covered by a shadowy mask. "Yes Hawk Moth! I will burn this city like they are ants as well as this Ladybug." Imediately his clothing changes going fire colors. His face gets a bright red flaming mask and as he pulls the magnifying glass from his back pocket, he points it towards a tree and a beam of light launches towards it, Igniting the tree and turning it to Cinders. "Now It's time to play!!! FEAR ME NEW YORK!! I AM FIRELIGHT!!!"

Mercy Thompson has posed:
When Violet blurts out that question of hers, Mercy can't help but offer the other woman a faint grin of understanding, before her steps take her toward the younger woman. "I'm not." She begins, her voice sounding friendly enough as she continues with, "Just a mechanic out on lunch break." Her head will cant slightly to the side that gesture filled with curiosity, "What sort of art do you do?", asks the brown-haired woman, as she considers Violet and her tote bag.

And while her attention is still mostly on Violet, with Mercy being this close to Marinette and Adrien now, something about the two causes the Coyote's gaze to stray towards them. It's something just at the edge of her senses; she can't quite say what it is, but it's enough for her to know it's magic related. Her eyes will begin to narrow slightly, as she tries to suss out just what it is -

- And just like that, something much stronger suddenly washes over her senses. With eyes widening, Mercy will turn towards the other side of the park, "Something's happening." She murmurs and then, just like that the tree is incinerated. "Not good." She says, her gaze finding turning back towards the two friends and Violet.

Insect Queen (OMara) has posed:
Violet O'Mara turns to Marinette. Well, who knew. Seems like the accidental shot ricocheted and hit the target, after all. "Oh, hi, I'm Violet O'Mara, and I've got an art degree already. If you need anything, feel free to ask. And, oh, thanks! I think I'll take one." she exclaims with a smile, and after a little lingering over the sampler of delicacies, she finally pops a small danish into her mouth. "Mmmmm. Delicious." She comments. Free food! Big budget win! "Thank you, I will make sure to visit your patisserie one of these days." she says, making a mental note to keep far, far away from that patisserie.

See, in the mind of a struggling artist, the tasting experience goes in two steps: "1) MY GOODNESS, THIS PASTRY TASTES DELICIOUS!" "2) ...my goodness, this pastry sounds expensive."

Considering the reduced budget Violet has at her disposal, and the rent prices, Violet can easily estimate that she won't be able to afford much from that place soon. But, once she manages to get her freelance business going, who knows, maybe she'll earn enough to afford such high-end tasting delicacies.

At Mercy, she just replies "Oh, mechanic! That's good, I don't know many mechanics. I knew one, but he moved to Colorado," mentions Violet, having apparently gotten over her embarrassment. "I do anything, really. These days it's mostly pictures for websites, logos, the odd caricature for parties... oh, did a portrait once!"

While eyeing the offered sweets and considering whether it is too rude to ask for seconds, she notices the tree being burnt down. It's... hard to miss, actually. "Oh no..." she says, paling slightly. "Please please PLEASE let it not be something that needs to be taken care of, and if it is, PLEASE let there be someone who can take care of it..." Someone /else/. But she doesn't say it.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
As the box of treats is brought forth, Adrien smiles. full blown, bright eyedn smile.

"You are in foe a treat if she is just now letting you try her pasteries. The best in Paris. Her whole family is so incredibly talen-"

Cue akuma attack.

Adrien looks over, smile dying under the expression of alarm. Of all thw worst luck! An akuma! In America! And therexs no Ladybug! Hwat is a cat to do?

First thingxs first. Get Marinette to safety. Then get self to a private place to transform. and thwn see about a jar or something he can use to maybe trap the akuma so he can find Ladybug later and...

Adrien flicks his gaze to Violet. Thank tou so much for the rwady madw get everyome to safety!

"im sure there will be someone. You two go hide. I'll be right behind youn just incase he looks this way. I can distract him," Adrien offers, intending to distract rhw akuma alright. With a kick to the face.... once he can get behind a tree to transform that is! He waits long enough to make sure the girls arw running away and no ine is looking at him for all thw choas before throwing himself behinf ascreen of foliage.

"This was not what I expected this afternoon.... Plagg, claws out." The spirit zips jnto the silver ring on bis finger, coating him in black shadow and lwaving behind black leather, claws, ears, and tail.

And quite the ripple wave of destructive magic.

Fancy a game? How does cat and mouse sound?,

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Marinette Blinks as suddenly the tree she was just sitting under burst into flames. "Oh my gosh! What in the world!" An Akuma in NYC?! "Are you kidding me?!" She states outloud. "I think we need to run." She states and with no warning she takes off leaving behind her box of goodies and her art tablet.

She quickly darts down a dark alley away from the others who happened to be around. Opening her purse She frowns, "Tikki why is there an Akuma in New York City!?"

The little red spirit pokes her head out and frowns, "I don't know Marinette but I think you need to get out there."

"I know I know but... Adrien. WAIT... ADRIEN IS STILL OUT THERE! Oh It is on!" She snaps. "Tikki! SPOTS ON!" With a HA! Tikki is promptly pulled into her earrings which flash red and form five spots on each of them. She moves her hands over her eyes and her domino mask forms. Her clothing shifts becoming her ladybug colored unitard. Her Yo-Yo appears on her hip, hanging on a small red belt. With a fast kicking pose, The transformation is complete. Creative magic errupts outward from her as she pulls out the yo-yo and tosses it and swings her way back to the park.

She lands behind Firelight and speaks out, "Hey! Don't you know you shouldn't play with fire? It bugs people!" She hasn't seen Chat Noir yet. She just knows that right now this guy is threatening to torch things.

Firelight laughs, "If it isn't Ladybug. I've got a little message for you. Give me your Miraculous before things get too hot for you to handle!" He twirls the large magnifying glass and sends a beam of fire towards the girl in red. The ground is ignited around her. He gets an evil grin on his face, "Maybe I should have a few friends to help me. How about some of these people you want to protect. They would make good friends." He lunches fire at a few people. The people look like they are going to be burnt alive but... That doesn't happen. They walk out of the fire, their eyes all burning with flames. Fire Zombies. "Go my fire Ants! Take Ladybug's Miraculous. By Force!"

Mercy Thompson has posed:
When the cinders begin raining downward from that flaming tree, Mercy can't help but curse. Well, curse for her, it sounds something like suck eggs, or suck eyes. Probably eggs. That sounds harsher.

Either way, when Adrien tells them to run and then Marinette runs, and Violet seems to be having a panic attack, Mercy will move.

A hand will reach out towards Violet, as she says, "Come on, let's get out of the way. We don't want to get burnt."

She'll try to get Violet to move, but eventually Mercy stops walking as even more magic suddenly pings her senses. While she doesn't necessarily know that the first wave was destruction magic, it has enough of a familiarity to her own, that she frowns. After all, chaotic magic is close to destruction in some ways. As that second wave of magic hits, Mercy will actually squint her eyes a little. "What is going on." She manages, even as her gaze suddenly finds itself upon Firelight and then finally Ladybug.

While she'd love to say something Mercy can't, not when the Fire Zombies suddenly appear. "Oh for the love of -" Begins the Coyote even as she turns towards Violet, "- Clearly it's a party today." She begins, her voice dipping towards sarcasm and worry, yes, definitely worry too. Glancing around, Mercy will say, "Find a safe place to hide, Violet, I'm going to get shoo those people away." And just like that Mercy starts to jog away. She's heading towards the people who've pulled their various cellphones out to record what's goings on. "Are you nuts?" She exclaims loudly to the crazy people, "Get out of here! This isn't a safe place."

Insect Queen (OMara) has posed:
Violet O'Mara grabs Mercy's hand, and meekly follows her instructions. She looks oddly at Mercy, as she senses the various kinds of magic and says her "What is going on," to which Violet mercifully refrains from answering, "We're being attacked by a giant firebug... thing?" Instead, she just says nothing. Until, that is, Mercy tells her to get out. She nods once, and starts running.

Violet runs, runs like the wind, runs like Forrest Gump without an audience to stop him, runs like a nose in winter. Runs like there's no tomorrow, like nobody is watching, she runs like a finally debugged program. She runs like crazy, like mad, and she runs, she runs so far away! She runs for her life, runs for the gold, and, most importantly, she runs away from her responsibilities. Luckily, some gardener has parked a small van full of cut branches, foilages and tools, which allows Violet to jump into the back, and slam the door behind herself.

A few seconds later, the door cracks open, and from inside, one timid eye peers back at the group from the darkness. And then the door slams closed again.

"No way I'm turning into that jerk again!" She whispers, panting, her back against the inner wall of the van. "Uh-un. Let someone else take care of this. Someone who doesn't end up slamming people into walls. Someone who's most definitely not me. Violet O'Mara is going to just bystand innocently today, thank you very much."

The door cracks again, and the eye observes again. SLAM.

"Uh-un. There's no way I can help today. See, there already is a hero. A bug-themed hero. Fighting a bug-themed villain. Seriously. What would the Insect Queen have to do with this? Nothing. NO WAY she... can... help..." she winces and whimpers. "...why me. I don't want to! I don't want to! Somebody always ends up hurt, and I don't WANT people to get hurt..."

Cue to a few sconds later. A massive six-armed insect woman in a chitinous armor marches towards the scene of the fight, with the annoyed confidence of someone who has to clean up somebody else's mess. When she reaches the group, she states, matter-of-factly, "Ok, pepole and... weird felines. Stop the fighting and let us all go back to wherever we came." She says, each of her four arms starting close to her body, index fingers pointing downwards, and miming a movement where each index finger slides away and points away, in the direction where each person (or bug) came from. "Proceed nicely and nobody gets hurt. And, oh boy, do I feel like hurting people today!" she says, cracking her knuckles. But, that said, she resumes a dignified pose, two arms crossed, her other two arms on her hips, and her chin pointing slightly upwards. "So commands The Insect Queen."

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
One leap and Chat Noir was in the trees overhead. It wasnt the Parisian rooftoosn but it was familiar and freeing and was that Ladybug?! A wild grin splits his face as he launvhes himself across the final distance between them with a reckless abandon to his sinewy movements. He lands ina crouch next to Ladybug, all too flirty smirk on his lips.

"My day started ofd poorly, but looks like Ive gotten jammy; Hello, My Lady. Now I dont need to find a jar. Or a buttefly net. Or really worry about much of anything. Well, except you, of course. Good to see mew again, by the way. Please say you missed your chaton," Chat Noir says as Firelight zombies random people. Clearly flirting with the female heros in the area is far more important than actually rescuing people? Green eyes shift to Insect Queen.

"Anither akuma, Buginette?" he asks, eteing rhe growing number.of potential baddies as his hand slips behind himself for his staff.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"Chat Noir! You're here too!? I thought I was going to be alone here!" Ladybug smiles, "I definitely missed ya!" She giggles a little as she quickly spins her yo-yo and tries to pull a person out of the way of Firelight. It's one person who isn't a zombie now. "Chat We need to help these people. Akuma's in New York City!"

She quickly moves, launching herself up into another tree to avoid the incoming zombies. As one of the zombies touches an innocent bystandard, The bystandard is burnt and then becomes a zombie themselves'. "Chat! Don't let them touch you! They are spreading the burn!"

Firelight laughs. He is NOT a bug. He's just a supervillain after something! "Come on Ladybug, Just give it up. Make it easy on yourself. I will be at the Statue of Liberty when you're ready to surrender!" He laughs and takes off flying leaving a firetrail behind himself.

Insect Queen (OMara) has posed:
Insect Queen looks up at the flying off villain. "Hm. Well, I tried." She says, giving an almost imperceptible shrug. And then turns to Chat. "I have no idea of what an Akuma is, so I suppose I am not one." She replies, while her body shifts into a more arachnid-like shape.

Now a giant humanoid bundle of NOPE, Insect Queen (who, despite the name, has arachnid powers as well). She leaps up in the air, and starts flying around grabbing random people and taking them just far enough to be outside the zombies' range of action. She takes her top two hands to her temples, closes her eyes, and broadcasts a telepathic order around the area. The order simply says 'stop!' Insect Queen's power is most fit for bugs, but it usually works on animals as well, the closer they are to bugs, the better. As for humans, she's normally able to influence only those particularly weak or vulnerable to thelepathy, but, who knows. Maybe zombies fit the bill?

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
The simple act of hearing that Ladybug missed him has Adrien's hesrt soaring. she leaps away from him and for a moment his eyes folloen leaving Chat Noir standing there, rooted and defenseless.

"Mreow!" he exclaims as the cat-like reflexes has him leaping away from an incoming zombie. He lands lightly on a ttee branch.

"And me without burncream," he quips. "You know, Buginette, We gave them that statue..." he says, using the royal we of we the country n thw peiple of France.

"You go after him, My Lady. I will contaun these picnis ruining fireants and be right behind you," Chat Noir calls out to Ladybug before turning to grin broadly at Insect Queen.

"Purrrfect! Another superhero." he quips merrily, like the cat wiyh a goldfish (becausw birds make him sneeze) befoew he launches himself off the tree and into thw fray of zombies to help try to contain... wait a minute! FIRE ants! His green eyes spot a fire hydrant across thw street from here. A wild and mischevious smile speads across his face just before Chat Noir leaps clear and toward the thing of water. Therexs only one thing on his mind: "Cataclysm! " A black smoke coats his right hand.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Ladybug looks a little panicked over the whole Buginette comment. After all, He doesn't know that she is Marinette! She smiles a little and nods to him. " Yeah we did! Stay Safe Chat!" She darts with impressive speed over toward Insect Queen. "Don't let them touch you! They will turn you into one of them too!" She smiles and grabs her yo-yo and beings twirling it. "Bug out!" SHe throws the yo-yo and takes off pulling herself up to the rooftops.

Taking off after Firelight She quickly makes her way towards the statue. Its a quick jaunt through the city. If she were on the ground, it would be hell getting through the area. But a few moments later, there she is. Just gotta cross the water. Her gaze goes to Several boats. Using her yo-yo she grapples her way across the channel to Ellis Island.

Making her way up the Statue, she lands on lady Liberty's head and stares down Firelight. "I'm not here to give over my Miraculous! You're going to Surrender."

Firelight snaps. He points the magnifying glass towards the torch of the statue. The torch lights and a dark wave blasts outwards creating more fire zombies. "If you want to save this pathetic city Surrender it!" He starts firing off blasts at lady bug.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
With Insect Queen providing an even betterdistraction than Chat could have hoped for, he wastes little time in destroying the firw hydrant, prying uo a manhole covern and theb using that and his slight weihht and kwverage to angek thw water down on the fireabts.

"Okay guys. Right mrow its time to cool off," he says. to the zombies. Whst a shame Ladybug wasnt here to hear that! She woukd have jusy loved it. hexs sure!

Fire out and four and a half minutez left in his transformstion, Chat Noir turns and bee-lines it (get it? cuz insect queen...) for the statue.

"Im in my way, my Lady..."

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Unaware of what is going on with the Fire Zombies, Insect Queen and Chat Noir, Ladybug is swirling her yo-yo around, defending herself from the inbound fiery blasts. "This is really getting hot!" She winces as she comments.

With a quick action she launches herself up to the torch.

With a fast motion, she twirls swings her yo-yo and cries out, "LUCKY CHARM!!!" Hearts go flying as a flash of light goes off. What drops is an umbrella!

She blinks a few times, "An Umbrella? What am I supposed to do with this? It's not raining..." She begins looking around.

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Chat Noir sprinted, his heart feeling like it wss going to hammer out of his chest. And he didnt csre. Ladybug was here n in New York. And... she missed him. He could almost feel her charm go off as he drew near, eyes scanning about as he alighted on the fence around Liberty Park.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Ladybug continues looking for cues. As things go black and white, The Magnifying glass flashes, then Firelight's belt, then one of the points on Lady Liberty's head. "Got it!" With a quick motion she throws the umbrella which hits the magnifying glass sending it flying. The hook on the end catches his belt. With a quick motion, she swings her yo-yo, catching one of those head spikes and then dives off the torch.

With a quick action she catches Firelight and quickly tugs on the string. Both her and the villain are launched up to the head again. Meanwhile, the magnifying glass falls and falls and falls until it bumps Chat in the head. "CHAT! The Akuma is in the Magnifying glass!!"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
"Mreouch!" Chat complains as the glass hits his head. His hands are quickin catching it. He peers at it as Ladybug calls to him. Oh! yes!

"I got it, My Lady!" he catterwalls up to her. With a quick motion he brings the glass down on the fence he's perched on.

"Butterfly's out!"

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
"On it!" She quickly whips her Yo-yo towards the butterfly, "No More evildoing for you little Akuma!" The Yo-Yo opens and captures the Akuma. "TIME TO DE-EVILIZE!!!" She does her thing, twirling the Yo-Yo about and then releasing the now purified bug. "Bye-bye little butterfly!"

Then with a smile, she tosses the umbrella into the sky she calls out, "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" The umbrella flashes out of existance as hearts go flying through the city undoing all the damage done.

Ladybug picks up the now normal guy and dives off the statue. She uses her Yo-Yo to slow their decent. Setting him down, she moves over to Chat and smiles. Holding up her fist she states, "Pound it!"

Adrien Agreste (142) has posed:
Chat Noir leaps over to Ladybug to press his fist to hers. He missed this. His smile is unfettered and bright, and perhaps a little auggestive. He rakes a breath to speak when his ring beeps impatuently.

"Ah! My cue, My Lady. I need to ryn off but I will never be far." he says, bolding turning his hand over to catch herz so he can bring it over to kiss her knuckles.

Beep.

Marinette DuPain (143) has posed:
Ladybug laughs, "I'm glad we're back!" She snickers as she gets ready to run again. The meter is running and she's getting ready to head off. When He kisses her hand, She smiles as she hears the beep, "Alright cool it tom cat. You'd better bug out before You let the cat out of the bag.

Her earrings give off their own beep as she looks around. With a quick motion she throws her yo-yo to one of the nearby boats and then another. All the way to a back alley where she can change back. As Tikki pops out, she smiles, "I Think this city just got a whole lot more interesting."
