6:30PM, Victoria's parents' basement.

A white blouse with a sky blue v neck collar that runs low between the breasts. A pleated blue skirt with a white fringe. Elbow length white leather gloves. High boots. "Ta-da! This, Tori, is your brand... new... costume!" The girl standing beside it looked the part to wear the outfit- slender frame, heavily curled golden hair, caramel skin. "What do you think? Do you like it?"

Victoria Lawrence stands opposite her nearly identical twin and frowns nervously, worrying her bottom lip as she circles the mannequin on which her clothes have been set. She reaches up and takes her mask, something similar to a simple, flexible masquerade half mask in the same blue as her outfit. It is secured by tying it off behind the head. "I don't know. Does it, um... Have to be so low cut? Over the, um." She lifts both hands, miming carrying grapefruit, and gestures toward her chest.

"Well-"

"And the skirt. That's really short. What if I bend over?"

"Have you ever seen what superheroes wear? This is pretty modest! I'm telling you, if you want to be successful-"

"No, it's okay, Mia. I've got this." Tori smiles at her nearly identical sister and shaking her head slowly. "This just isn't me. I'll keep the mask, though. I love you. Now... Stay. Here. I've got a debut to make."

A few hours later, Victoria was stymied. Finding a violent crime to stop was harder than she had expected. She'd been walking for hours and her feet hurt. She had been really looking forward to those new boots.

That's when Victoria hears a scream. She whirls quickly, cocking her head to try to find the source of the sound. Finally, something was happening! The girl quickly realizes that a little mask is inconvenient when one wishes to see their surroundings. But someone was in trouble! So she shoots into action, moving fast enough for a resounding crack to fill the air around her. Windows shatter beneath the concussive force. Car alarms went off in the carpark a block over.

The person watching the action thriller that was the source of the noise stares out the window of their second story apartment for a moment. A teenaged girl in a blue 'Man of Tomorrow' t-shirt and track pants with a mask on stares back and smiles sheepishly. Someone called the police and Neutron, mighty superhero, fled home.

How do Superheroes find something to be super heroic about? Tori would have to find someone to ask.
