Over the radio waves on the fringes of Sector 2814, just as easily missed or found:
"...nation of Raethon Three... being invaded... beings of fire... burning everything... request immediate help!"
The message, broken as it is, repeats for a couple of hours and then is cut short. While it's unclear who they expected to come to their aid, the signal is easily caught and passed along by whomever happens to be nearby.
