Profile

Simple form and pure purpose bely deadly intent. China White was broken by her country, but snatched away and rescued from a life of elegant slavery and indentured marriage by the Triads. Now, one of the world's most powerful heroin merchants, China White is a major player in the opiate markets of Japan, Australia, California, and in fact, the entire Pacific Rim. One of the earliest foes of Green Arrow, and the woman who holds his identity in the bloody palm of her soft hand, China White has an interest in Starling City, merely for the revenge she can extract as her sadism and time allows it. A skilled practitioner of Baguazhang, Chaquan, Northern Praying Mantis, and Changquan, she is also a master assassin, with various traditional knives and modern tricks such as needles loaded with neuro-stimulants (for heart valve increase into neural failure) and high-viscosity toxins (for splashing or spraying from the mouth or nose, particularly if trapped and suicidal).

China White, the Queen of the Pacific, is an elegant lady of Chinese descent, lithe of limb and clad in matte white. Her skin is a pure bronze, with prominent cheek bones and chin, her collarbone pronounced, her shoulders and hips svelte and her posture sleek and pure. She is a pureblooded Chinese noble, hidden in a place like the heroin trade. Her hair is white from hydrogen peroxide, bangs falling over the right side of her face, her broadly almond eye like the flavor of cyanide.

She wears a white bodysuit over her form, smooth and soft, clinging to her shoulders and running comfortably down to her wrists, with a collar upturned around her collar and behind her, a zipper closed at the top of her chest. The zipper runs down to her navel, should she wish to doff her clothing for more comfortable affairs. Her fingernails are painted white, carefully trimmed and sane in length, with her legs clad inside the slightly wider suit's proportions, ending in a pair of white shoes on her feet that are neatly accoutered to her elegant feet.

She walks with a lanky flow, of confidence and sexuality, lacking grace and instead possessing reptilian purpose.

Chien Na Wai was born in Macau, to a petty banker with a gambling habit, and a mother that moonlighted as a masseuse for the Tong's bosses. Her father placed a great deal of emphasis on her schoolwork, too much, and her anxiety overtook her, terrorizing her everyday. Her father felt the choking debt of his addiction coming in, and the jealousy he felt towards his wife's suitors was suffocating. Her mother couldn't perform as a mother, with the stench of so many men on her hands, and hated her husband for her life.

Both of them placed so much importance on her becoming a prestigious wife for a Tong, even a low ranking Triad, to get them out of debt and help them retire, that she regressed into early childhood as a teenager, playing silly children's games that she was mocked for, with toys and basic computer games. She was an only child, without friends and only inanimate objects, with a loud, disheveled father, and a mother with shame in her eyes and sex in her hair.

Chien Na Wai's world ended one day, when her father was informed that she had failed a major test required for university entrance. Beaten bloody, a streak of her hair turned white in fear, and she was pushed backwards, hands shaking with fear, not knowing where her mind had gone or her loves or joys or fears, only feeling a deep, empty cavern of need, but not of a person or place or idea. She did not know what this was, this need, but her hands couldn't stop tremoring until the next day, when she got dressed and went to school.

A girl made fun of her hair, and she stabbed a pencil directly into the offending bully's hand, directly into the perfect place in the small bone structure to permanently force the hand into the sign of the Chinese cross, a bad luck symbol unless Christian. The bully was a Tong's daughter, normally a deadly mistake, except for the fact that the bully in question was a snitch in the school. That's why the Tong was informed by the school before the marked could speak up, sealing both the bully's doom and Chien's ascension to being a goddess.

Chien Na Wai's father was a mute man until his death, gambling as much as he liked and barely working, despite preferring to spend time at his bank than with Chien. Her mother had plenty of time for her, but the gestures were empty. The boys and girls at school stared at her, the bully girl gone, never to bother her again. Chien Na Wai purchased a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, bleaching her hair bright white, and when she graduated school, she smiled as she witnessed an elder Triad assassin named Zhishan kill both of her parents before her, her hands as soft and smooth as she ever dreamed. The anxiety faded away, and she painted her nails as the Triad drove her to the airport, the color a perfect shade of white.

Zhishan became both her mentor and her lover. Despite being much older, he was a perfectly sufficient man in bed, and a more than apt teacher. She learned the entirety of fighting, murder, and business, and she was a perfect woman to be an instrument of Macau's Tong, burdened with the heroin trade in the Pacific Rim. Eventually, she came to lead the Triad, her legendary prowess as a savant idol of fear bringing the Triad to be named the China White Triad. She was sworn in as the leader at the Four Brothers in San Francisco, and she became a modern legend of Chinese crime.

Based out of Fiji, China White ran an international heroin operation that brought Macau to heights never before dreamed of, growing opium on the islands of the Pacific and processing it into pure heroin, selling all over the region. Japan, Australia, California, Polynesia, Mexico, South America, Canada, Russia, the Philippines, they were all kissed by China White's elegant greed. She made love to so many addicts in need of escape with the cruelest eleutheria, very aroused in the knowledge that so many needed her existence in such shaking, shuddering desire for a needle into the veins to find a home from the torment she had delivered them into. She felt like the world's most beautiful woman, and she only wanted more.

When Oliver Queen came close to discovering that China White's Triads had drawn financing from his corporation with a foolish swindle, China White first came to blows with him, hunting him on an island where slave labor grew opium poppies. Witnessing the development of his skills during those months, pursuing him, she was mildly vengeful towards a few of her minions when he escaped.

Of course, when Green Arrow came to Starling City, China White's suspicion was not aroused, it was confirmed. But, her travel calendar did have an opening, for a safari of flesh. Naturally, she would have to meet Oliver Queen again, this time as a tourist in Starling City, with a few of her friends.

China White has the body of a goddess, the social bearing of a princess, but the mind of a hornet. There is no humanity in her, having gone from a nervous and idle introvert to a international crime lord, molded by criminals with power, seduction, money, and validation into a purely inhuman monster. Like most monsters, China White rarely feels herself to be a monstrously ugly human being, particularly because of the level of power she has over the needs of so many heroin addicts. She fancies herself a mother feeding the starving slaves on her islands, a fine lady of the evening to the men and women that need her needles, a stateswoman among crime bosses and warlords and megalomaniacs, a servant of the Chinese people that brings brilliant reputation to them through demonstrations of their empowerment, and overall, a courtesan of the flesh that no man would refuse unless he wished whatever wrath that he was clearly requesting.

China White is of the single mind of dominance, cruelty, and purpose, her entire life devoted to her own needs. When she submits, it is a business calculation. When she shows kindness, it is a carefully viewed probe. When she is idle, it is as a rest from the otherwise vocation of ruthless bitch. China White feels that all forms of power are the ends of all things, her judgment of others based on this presumption, instead of power being the means justified by the ends. To her, this is clarity. A Machiavellian is a fool. Power is the goal, not a method to attain some foolish notion of ethics. The path isn't for most people. If it were, she would have too much competition, and she'd have to go to war.

China White is aware of many forms of business, and has mastered smuggling, fraud, narcotrafficking, and agrobusiness as a legitimate manager via fronts. She is vastly skilled at directly others with various skills supporting these ventures, to widen her potential range of enterprise to dozens of holdings, ventures, and methods.

MARTIAL ARTS
China White is highly proficient in variants of Baguazhang (flowing through fights in circling and shifting strategies with palms, fists, elbows, kicks, fingers, locks, throws, and weapons), Chaquan (lunging strikes and acrobatics), Northern Praying Mantis (bent hands to whirl and deflect attacks, to block and strike by removing and adding), and Changquan (long kicks and strikes and rapid aerial maneuvers). She can use the entire range of traditional Chinese melee implements, although particularly knives and swords.

POISON

China White is a master of the use of needles loaded with neuro-stimulants that induce heart valve tachycardia to induce neural failure, an incredibly frightening method of murder that puts a victim in endless fear and nearly orgasmic ventricular thrombosis as their brain shuts down from vascular damage in the cerebrum. She also employs high viscosity toxins that cause intense pain, deployed from hand-held crystals broken in the hand to be splashed or blown.

TRIADS
Through the Tong in Macau, she has investors and government contacts, with both China and other corporate or semi-colonial interests. The China White Triad, backed by this Tong, has an international network throughout the Pacific Rim, based out of Fiji, with slave plantations, processing plants, smuggling companies, sales networks, banking unions, corporate fronts, military companies, and government corruption. She has tens of thousands of employees, most of whom are deployed to individual interests such as protecting fronts or running supplies, but she has a considerable amount of raw force to deploy in private stockpiles of arms and armies.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

China White's heroin fortune nets billions a year, most of which is funneled back to the investors, or used to pay employees their gratuitously generous salaries. China White and most of the other top members have private accounts worth egregious sums, stockpiled in various bank accounts, investments, stock options, venture capital shares, commodities futures, and stakes in corporate money network business like golf courses, country clubs, or black parliaments (meeting places).

China ultimately controls China White and her Triad, and the home government can make requests, discipline, seize assets, incarcerate, or outright kill her or any single one of her investors or her employees.

HIGH PROFILE
China White is a high profile target of SHIELD, Task Force X, foreign governments, independent police agencies, INTERPOL, MI-5, the Japanese SDF, various superheroes, rival crime syndicates, and anyone generally opposed to the ruthless exploitation of people through violence, slavery, and drug addiction.

INHUMAN
China White barely approaches human, and only in her appreciation for business, literature, and all the traditional trappings of a high power socialite that needs to put on airs and be versed in the etiquette of business. Most people fear her, dislike her, or privately disrespect her, often all three.

MEGALOMANIAC

China White sees the entire purpose of her life as the accruement of power, and that as the ideal path for anyone, but one that is only for a select few. She will continue winning, or attempting to win, until her conquests stop, instead of merely halting and consolidating.
