The Indigo Lantern Corps, or Indigo Tribe, are easily the most mysterious and elusive of the various Lantern Corps. Powered by the indigo light of compassion, their membership includes rehabilitated sociopaths and criminals from across the Milky Way Galaxy. They eschew possessions, petty allegiances, and in some cases, even their names.
Supplementary Abilities
Emotional Spectrum Emulation
A power unique to the Tribe, theIndigo Lanterns can emulate the other energies of the emotional spectrum when they are in close proximity to them, and use those energies for their own use. This ability has been shown to allow the wielder to copy the power of other power rings.
Inability to be Traced
As the most elusive light in the emotional spectrum, Indigo Lanterns cannot be easily traced by any known means.
Inability to be Translated
Indigo Lanterns can speak among themselves in a language not recognised by other power rings, making them an enigma.
Jump Points and Hyperspace
Indigo Lanterns are particularly adept at creating jump points and navigating through hyperspace, which enables them to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Their advantage in terms of range and speed is considerable over members of the other Lantern Corps.
Supplementary Weaknesses
Willpower Subversion
While indigo rings prevent the various lights that they channel from influencing them, it is also a weakness as it subverts their will to the influence of the Indigo light.
