The Yellow Lantern Corps, whom the Green Lanterns insist on calling the Sinestro Corps, utilise the yellow light of fear. Eons ago, the Weaponers of Qward used the Book of Parallax to create the Yellow Lantern Central Power Battery in sector 324. The Qwardians allowed the corps to fallow, until Thaal Sinestro, a former Green Lantern, began recruiting Yellow Lanterns who could bring order to the Milky Way Galaxy.
Supplementary Abilities
Instill Fear
The base power, fear, can be manipulated by the Yellow Power Ring user. An opponent's fears can be laid bare by delving into their minds. The power only works on the direct emotion of fear. This allows them to create the energy constructs of an opponent's worst nightmare. Also, once that fear is exposed, the ring's ability allows the wielder to amplify the fear to the point of irrationality. True horror on the part of victim conversely empowers the ring wielder.
Kryptonian Charging
Similar to how the light of a Green Power Ring can be used to create artificial Kryptonite energy to harm a Kryptonian, the energy from a Yellow Power Ring can charge the powers of a Kryptonian or Daxamite.
Will Corruption
The yellow light of fear can corrupt the aura of a Green Lantern, draining their ring of power. This is dependent on the Green Lantern's ability to "understand", "accept", and "control" their fear.

The transmission and power of Yellow Power Rings can be greatly disrupted by the presence of a Blue Power Ring.
