News Files - Our Wiki

As an additional resource for our players, we have a Wiki page for United Heroes. It is located at http://unitedheroesmush.com

On this page, you will find links to all our news files, groups, character pages, logs and so much more. We encourage you to look around. You are not required to do anything on the Wiki if you prefer. Many players never look at it or touch it. That's okay. However, if you would like to help maintain it, you can do so. You would simply request a login through the link in the upper right-hand corner. You must have an approved character on the game to be approved for Wiki access. Once there, we ask that you only modify your page or link logs that you created.

When your character is approved, Staff will create your page or change it from Open to Played. You should not build your own page. After it is created, then you can modify your page if you would like. Please be sure that your information there matches what is on your character on the game. This includes +finger, abilities, resources, etc. You can tweak colors and such if you would like. If you add a gallery, we ask that you keep it to ten pictures at the most. All pictures must be work-safe and should not contain content that might be considered "racy". If you aren't sure if it classifies as such, you can ask our Head Wiz. If you are found to have a picture that is crosses the line, it will be removed by staff.

One of the more powerful things that our code allows is logging to the website. If you click on the Logs link on the left side, you will be taken to the main logs page. There is a link there for all the Logs or you can look at logs by year. If you click on the first link, it will take you to a list of every log since the beginning of our game! You can actually click on an active log, hit refresh periodically, and watch the scene unfold in real time as you read.

These logs are not automatically linked to your Character Page but it isn't difficult to do. You just go into the log and there is a button in the lower left corner to link it. Once you hit that button, it takes you to a brief template you would fill out then submit the Log. From there, it will link to the Character page for everyone involved. We do ask that you only link logs you created so that there is no duplication of the logs in the system. You may also link other people's logs but only if they give you permission and prefer not to do so themselves.

If you have any questions about what can or cannot be done, just ask the Head Wiz listed in +staff or send in a job with the category Wiki.
