For original characters, they will be limited to Terminators only (no humans from the future). One of each: T-850, T-888, T-1000. To apply for one of these characters, they must have been sent back with a purpose that does not include killing John Connor. There were many examples of this in the television series, such as being sent back to stockpile supplies or having been sent to a different point in time and ended up where they weren't supposed to be (then events forcing them to make sure events came to pass as they should have). It is the responsibility of the applicant to come up with a reason for their presence.

If you just want to apply to hunt John Connor, that will not be allowed. It is best you apply because you want to explore a robotic character living in our world while trying to hide that they are not human. The way the Terminators are designed however, if they see John Connor (and recognize him since he looks different than his older version), the programming to terminate him becomes primary.

Since we know that for game purposes, these Terminators cannot succeed, we have allowed a loophole in their play. After all, there were no superheroes in the Terminator world and these machines are not as scary when people like the Scarlet Witch and Superman are around. If you have an OC terminator and it is destroyed in the process of trying to kill John Connor, or for some other reason, you can bring back a 'new' one to take its place. Thus, the default description so the same model comes back and takes that spot. It can have the same original goal as the first or a new goal can be applied for if you wish to change your mind. When the new version comes to this time, they will not have any memory or history from your previous play. It is a new unit and would start fresh.

We will only allow one of each type in play at a time as OCs. If you are playing a T-850 and shelve the character, someone else may app a new version of the T-850. Should you wish to pick up your character again, you will not be able to do so unless there is not an OC T-850 in play by another person. This is to limit their number on grid since they should be very few at any given time.
