A Tiny-Plot is a planned event, rather like a campaign, or specific adventure you might plan in 'tabletop' role-play, as opposed to just everyday spontaneous role-play. Anyone can run them! If this interests you, have a look at the following.

Types of Role-Play / Tiny-Plots

Minor
No approval required. These plots have a minor impact, if any, on the overall storyline of the game. It can range from typical social role-play to your basic scuffle. Death and destruction are at a minimum. Usually, nothing of note happens.

Major
Staff approval required. Examples: a raid on an industrial site, damage sustained to a museum, university, or hospital. Any scene where someone gains something major, or there is a noteworthy change to the neighborhood.

Epic
Staff approval required. These plots are much more significant. Boroughs could potentially fall, characters could face hard choices that may leave a lasting impact on them, and large amounts of people could be affected. These plots alter the world drastically, and it will never quite be the same. If you have an idea for an epic plot, feel more than free to suggest it.

Who will run it?

Player-run
If a player requests it and makes it clear that they want to run it. Without approval, players can only run minor plots. With approval, than can run major and epic types.

Staff-run
If a player requests it and asks that a member of staff runs it for them. Staff can run the spectrum.

How will it play out?

Predetermined
The outcome of the scene is already determined before you do it. It's not a question of what will happen, but how it will happen. Kang has teamed up with Carnage to destroy Metropolis. It doesn't matter if the only characters who show up are Casey Jones, Jubilee, and Vorpal. Casey, Jubilee, and Keith are going to hero the shock out of this scene. Things such as 'Casey defuses the Kang's bomb and also punches Carnage in the face' may happen. What needs to get done will get done, because the scene cannot end in, 'Metropolis gets destroyed'.

Semi-Premeditated
At least one thing has to happen in this scene, but the rest of it is open-ended. Whoever puts more effort into it, will get more out of the scene. For example, suppose that Daredevil infiltrates S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of a cunning plan to uncover evidence that they're covering up something that the public has a right to know. In this scene, Daredevil must escape, but if S.H.I.E.L.D. send Eric O'Grady, sans Ant-Man suit, and Skye? Yeeeah, D.D.'s probably going to find information that will rock S.H.I.E.L.D. to the core. If S.H.I.E.L.D. sends Black Widow, Captain America, Grant Ward, Melinda May, and they pose well? He'll escape, but he'll be lucky to get a complimentary mint.

Open-Ended
The ending of this scene is totally open. Whoever succeeds is up to whoever puts the most effort in.
