There has never been a true vampire-analog created by science. Yes, some vampires were created through what could loosely be called scientific experimentation, but those experiments almost always consisted of said scientists "isolating" the vampiric enzyme from some sort of sample, and introducing it to a victim. The enzyme itself was never "synthesised", "genetically engineered", or "crossbred", since in and of itself, the enzyme it is nothing but the carrier of the diabolic curse of which Vampirism truly stems from.

This means no one has "engineered" a super-vampire, or UV-proof vampire, or what have you. Any differences between types of vampire "species" exists wholly by "evolutionary drift" between isolated sects in the fourteen thousand plus years since they spread out from Atlantis, or by the fact that some creatures may seem to be vampires, but truly aren't, and only share a few superficial traits.
