These five beings, today known as "the Five Inversions", used their rage to create a Red Power Battery and summon the first Red Lantern Power Rings. By utilising the energy of rage and loss, they began to recruit others to their cause. These recruits are quickly engulfed by the flame of the Red Lantern Corps.
