Sandra is a Nurse at the General Hospital and works in the trauma ward. She has a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry from NYU and full certifications to be a Registered Nurse and working towards her PHD. She can be found in her off time in coffee shops working on puzzle books or reading sci-fis.

History

Sandra was born and raised in Long Island, New York. While she was not a popular student or any type of athlete, she excelled in academics with a passion for science. Accepted to NYU on a full scholarship, she dual majored in Biology and Chemistry, then soon worked hard towards certifications to become a Registered Nurse. Future goals is to become a surgeon after she gets some experience working at the General Hospital. Despite having a very close family in the form of both parents and two younger siblings, Sandra kept her mutant biology to herself when she found out she was unnaturally stronger and more formidable than most. Her powers came about when she was a young teen, having been taking a bit of a nature trail to document plant growth for a paper she was walking when she fell off a path and tumbled into a creek. She came out unscathed, not even a scratch and cracked the side of the cliff she ran into which was made of solid stone. From there, Sandra begin to experiment, looking to test the limits of her strength and durability in secret. With the state of mutant affairs being sensitive, she kept it to herself and has made no attempts to become a superhero or join the X-Men. She has fell through the cracks and is happy for it.

Where some with super powers may excel in the world of capes and spandex, Sandra excels behind the scenes in the halls of the hospital. She saves lives with her quick thinking and personality that is able to keep others calm around her. She has a lot of empathy and a warm, glowing personality. She is unshakeable in her upbeat perception on life, always trying to find a silver lining or an optimistic outlook.

INVULNERABILITY
Sandra's mutant ability has given her invulnerability to the degree that she can survive large amounts of blunt force trauma, fire, cold and other forms of impact. She can get hit by a car and come out unscathed. She can't get hit by a rocket though, or a meteor, or someone as powerful as Superman or the Hulk and be okay. She can break and she can become injured. She is just immune to the mundane. Sandra can also take a knife stab fairly easily as it won't puncture her skin. At least not by someone with normal strength. If someone with supernatural strength was to stab her with a blade or a sharp surface, there would be a greater chance of cutting through her enhanced durability.
SUPER STRENGTH
Sandra's mutant ability has given her a low level super strength. She can lift and bench press up to 1500 pounds at a time. She is no where near a 'Super' level or the Hulk but she can dent steel with a punch and crack stone if she hits it hard enough.

She holds a dual Biology and Chemistry degree from NYU and has plans on a PHD in Genetics hopefully at Duke if she can be accepted once she pays down most of her student debt.

EATING DISORDER
Sandra will binge on chocolate and snacks when her happy energy finally breaks. She'll find herself eating out of habit until her intelligence overrides her emotional state. Afterwards, she'll force herself to throw up out of guilt.
INCREASED DENSITY
Due to her invulnerability, her body has an increased density which means she is not able to swim. She has no real ability to float and when in deeper waters, she'll sink. She will have to swim very hard to try and keep herself above the surface.
SELF ESTEEM
Even though Sandra is a happy bundle of joy and energy, she still suffers from a poor self-image. A lot of her confidence and bravado is masked by insecurities. Being an overweight girl in an era of nasty social media hasn't done much for her self-perception. She tends to over compensate at times when she feels that someone may not like her.

One of the downfalls of being a nurse who is invulnerability is having to make sure you have up to date paperwork and shots for preventative maintenance. Because her powers prevent her from being pricked with a needle or stabbed with a knife by a normal human strength, she has had to work with classmates in the past to get documents forged, and a buddy who works at a blood bank to sneak her some of her blood type for documentation. This is not something that she is proud of and she lives with this guilt and secret deep within her. She lives in constant fear of being discovered for her lie which helped her get her career going.
