Hanging at the Rec Center

Location:	Community Room - Hugo Building
Synopsis:	Making a new friend and possible updates for the Hugo Foundation Building.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    It's early in the evening the Rec Center is about to close, there are kids heading home, some who lived in the apartment, others who lives in the nearby neighborhood. A lot of the rec center employees watch the kids or talking with some of the parents, "Alright, I need my high schools to take the younger kids home than keep together and head home yourself." Dre says. There are quite a few of kids grouping up togehter, "We got'em Dre." one of the Senior High School kids. A grin shows on Dre's face as he looks to them. "Alright, everyone have a good night, if you didn't finish your homework, you already know it better be done before you get to school tomorrow or the basketball and gymnatics teams will start later. This is what y'all wanted." he says to them. There is a loud resounding alright. Dre smiles and watches as the kids begin heading home, some of the staff are leaving too.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has decided to stop by after work. The wayne foundation is always paying attention to Charitable causes, and Tim has an event coming up. He is in a nice car, but not one of the oh my word ones. He will find a place to park, and in jeans and a t-shirt start to walk over, glad he took time to change after work.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and the kids are coming out and heading home, a lot of the older kids are watching over the elementary and middle school kids as they leave, and parents are outside picking up some of the others. A few of the Rec employees are outside watching just to make sure things are going ok. Dre comes out standing watching, then he walks back inside. He yawns as he pulls out the brooms and mops so that he can start cleaning up. Whcih is only the hallways as the kids and staff take care of the place.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will step inside, and says "So, this is where you spend your time, when not hitting the social events of the season?" He will joke a bit and says "Thought I would come by and see what this place was about."

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Turning around as he hears a familiar voice, "Oh hey Tim." he smiles. He walks over to him and holds out a hand, "Yeah. Honestly I just happen to see that event and just decided to come in and see if it was legit." he says to the other man. "And yes this is where a lot of my time is focused at." eh chuckles. He hears a group of kids coming from one of the halls, it's highschoolers, "Drill team just finished up?" he asks. One of the girls nod, "Yeah, we got that show we need to get ready for. Sorry we went over Dre." she says.

Dre shakes his head, "It's all good, but go ahead and get going, make sure all homework is done, I know a few of you are lagging behind." two of the older girls lower their heads a bit, "Come on now, don't be like that. Do your drills and take the help from the tutors here. I want to see you all do well. Make sure I get the time for the show, so me and some of the staff can come out and support you all." they nod and head out. "Well this is the Hugo Foundation Building, apartments and Rec Center." he says. "I've been here for a few years now."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head a bit watching the interaction and such. "So you come up through the program here?" he will ask. Tim seems to be looking the place over well, not an inspection but wanting to know the ins and outs and such.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre shakes his head, "Nah, both my parents are Detectives at the Gotham Police Dept. I've had my fair share of scraps and still do. I know where a lot of these kids come from, hell even around here isn't the safest place. I know a lot of the crime starts as kids.I don't want these kids growing up seeing this is the only way. So I do what I can." he says.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "Not a bad thing to do not at all. So, they have a pretty good record of keeping the kids out of trouble here?"'

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "I think so." he says with a smile. "We can't help everyone but we try anyways. Hell we even have a few gang bangers here who try to help themselves to get off the streets." he says to Tim. "All we can do is try man, sometimes it's really rough, sometimes it's not." He says as he looks outside, the sound of passing cars and some with really loud music bumping within them.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, a bit and says "So, tell me a bit about what you think the place needs the most to help more folks?

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre walks over to a few couches and getures to them. "You want something to drink?" he asks as he sits down. "I don't know. We try to do what we can as we are." he says. He begins to think, "We have security system, I think the biggest thing is just trying to keep the area around here safe. With this being apartment we don't see any trouble..." he sighs. "I can't think of anything right now, just want to make sure these kids succeed."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "Always a good goal, I know we run a pretty decent amount of programs around town to do things similar, maybe we can help with getting you hooked up with the other places and share resources

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre looks to Tim studying him for a long moment, "You came here to just see what I was doing and how we are handling things?" he asks as he looks at him. "I appreciate it, do you know of the Hugo Foundation?" he asks.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well, I came here to find out a bit about the place and maybe offer help. It is not often you come across someone who seems to truely care about a cause, even at events like the other nihgt, and you seemed to care so it got me curious."

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre nods his head, "I do care, just sometimes hard when others don't, and than we end up with crazies like Joker and others like him." he frowns. "Young kids see people like dope dealers are idols because of the money and women they are with, gang bangers are enticing because they so call care about everyone in their gorup but want to fight and kill others who is against them." he sighs. "This shit gets to me, which is why I'm here, and the fact that you care enough to come here to check things out make me feel better."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "Yea, it is a sad thing that the only only place some of these kids see Family is in the gangs, but it does seem as if you and those folks here are working to show them another way.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Watching Tim, he smiles, "Thanks." he says to Tim. "We try." he says as he looks at Tim. "I will talk with the other staff to see what we need for the center, we've not heard from the Hugo Foundation, but I honestly don't think anyone called. But if you want to help we will not say no."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Well we ainbt trying to take their steam or anything just trying to help where we can. Mr wayne's parents were working to try to help this city and we try to continue that work now and into the future. The hope of each good brings more in the future

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "I've heard a lot about the Wayne's and it's all been good." he smiles. "I will get things together so that we can give you something about what we need. Is that alright with you?" he asks. "Also if you guys just want to mingle in with the kids and such or have people offer classes that would be great."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and says "Ah can put it up in some of out suggested charities and places that need help and volunteers to see what we can find for interest in helping out.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    He nods his head, and reaches a hand out to Tim, "Thanks man." he says. "Care for a tour?" he asks. "I will show you not just the Rec Center but the rest of the grounds and the apartments." he says.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and says "Sure, always up to know more about a place and it's people. It is not only good for being able to fill others in, but if you know about a place from personal experience, you can often find the fits better for places and people

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre will show Tim around the full facility of the Rec Center first. Showing off the Homework/Tutor area which isn't big but big enough, there are a few computers, but some aren't working. He shows the gym area, and the the other rooms for crafts, even the small dance studio. Again some of this was an after thought but there are some areas not utilized due to not being fully finished.

    He than take them out of the Rec and shows him the rest of th apartment complex which all of this is all in one building. It's not upscale, the area they are in isn't the best, but it's not a slum either. There is some loud music in some areas and the sound of banging on walls of neighbors trying to quiet the other. Still there are a lot of apartments, and they even walk past his apartment and he shows it off so that Tim has an idea of what hte apartments look like. From there, they take the elevator down and he shows Tim the parking garage and the back of the apartment complex which has an atrium and garden area. "Well that's the tour." he chuckles. "It is a big place, and for the most part it's not bad at all."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will take time while being shown the computer stuff to actually take a look at the computers if Andrea does not mind, and may even get a few of them up and running. Might explain why Tim works in R&D. He will walk along taking it all in and says "And you have not had much problems with the security here?

Andre Jackson has posed:
    Dre doesn't mind and is amazed Tim is able to get the few computers back up and running again. "Cool, thanks man. I appreciate that, and I know the kids will." he says as he looks to him. Dre thinks for a moment, "We don't have much in that really." he says to him. "I know there are camera's but I don't know about the rest." he says. "I tend to ......" he pauses and shake his head. "I try to walk around at night to just keep an eye on the place, I've had to deal with some of the smaller gangs before." he states.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "Sounds a bit dangerous, you not getting yourself in to much trouble I would hope

Tim Drake hmms and says "Sounds a bit dangerous, you not getting yourself in to much trouble I would hope. " He will look around and if he gets a chance without Andre noticing will plant a few micro camera here and there to help keep an eye on the place.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "I know it is, but I know there things the cops can't do all the time and they can't be around all the time." he says. "I've gotten beaten up pretty bad before, but when it comes to this place or just seeing someone being harrassed, I will not stand aside." he tells Tim. He doesn't see him place an of the micro cameras. He shrugs, "I know some of those gang bangers keep away, but others don't care." he shrugs. "I do what I can. I don't want anyone else here to do what I do, if I have to walk this path I will."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says "Well it is a dangerous thing your doing I do hope you at least have the police on speed dial, as would expect there are quite a few people who are not fans of yours after this." he hmms in thought a moment

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "I have my parents on speed dial." he laughs. "I wouldn't be on this road if it wasn't for them and my grandfather." he says to him. "I don't like seeing people hurt and I know a lot people don't know how to protect themselves so it comes down to those who will help." he tells him.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head a bit to this and says "Have you looked into working on getting any self defense courses or such going to help. Maybe if they did not see the people here as an easy target it might help?

Andre Jackson has posed:
    He grins, "I do self-defense, but I can't do it by myself." he sighs. "We do have a high demand for it, even the adults come for that class as well, but I'm the only one." He turns around to face Tim.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "I will ask around, I might know some who can help but I am not sure on it. More asking around. I would offer to help but I doubt what I do would be of much use, more just to keep fit than anything else, he fibs.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "Any help would be appreciated." he says to Tim. "Thank you very much for that." he says simply. There are sounds of sirens rushing past and Dre turns and looks in that direction. He rubs his head and looks back to Tim. "So what are you going to do after you leave here?" he asks.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake shrgs a bit and says "Probably head home, and grab something to eat or something to be honest, I am not fully sure, and yourself?

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "Order some pizza and watch a movie, than go out tonight and just make sure things are good." he says as he looks to Tim. "You have my info so if need to reach me about things, give me a call and we can go from there."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and will nod to this and says "I will see what I can do and give you a cal or have someone call you within the next week or so.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    "Alright cool." he says to Tim. "Well I'm about to head in, you can hang if you want to, I can order enough pizza." he says looking to Tim offering to hang out.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "Well, I probably could, supposed to meet a later late this evening but long as I have time to go grab a shower and change.

Andre Jackson has posed:
    He nods, sure, "Pizza will be here in 45mins, come on over if you can." he says to Tim and he takes out his cellphone and begins calling to place an order for a few pizzas as he heads back into the apartment.
