Profile

Dre is the new kid on the block, both parents are detectives of GCPD, though through them and his grandfather, Jynn's path has been set for him. Using his skills at night to help fight against the gangs of Gotham. Dre also during the day work at the Gotham City Rec Center where he helps with mentoring children as well as helping with rec center activities. He's never been to college but does have plans of attending but for what he is still trying to figure that out. He's very easy to approach and loves having a good time, but the biggest thing for him is helping those who protect Gotham, is to protect and soon make the city safe for everyone.

Description:

Before you stands a young African American. He appears to be in his early twenty's. He stands at a height of 5'10". His hair is cut down low and faded along the back and sides of his head. His eyes are a hazel color mixed slightly with a honey color. He has soft facial features and a pleasant smile.

Dre has on a long pair of baggy sports shorts. The shorts come down to just over his knees in somewhat of a point. Around his waist, there is black sash that hangs down along side his right side. He wears a sleeveless black top that is tucked somewhat into his shorts. Along his arms going from the elbows to his wrist is white fitted arm sleeves. On his feet, he has on a new pair of foot wear. His feet is are covered by black sneakers.

History:

Dre is the child of two GCPD detectives. His family lives on the East Side of town though details of where they live are pretty much kept secrect. Dre like all children has gotten into his fair share of trouble as well as causing mischief. But there is one thing that he was scared of was the bad things that could happen to his parents. Being scared for the city that he lived in and the one that his parents risked their lives to protect.

Dre's parents have always been a focus point in his life, yes he's stumbled and fell but Dre knew whats right and wrong and having to worry about his family if some sicko would do something to take them from him. But what he had in his family was strength, his grandfather who was someone who loved him, decided to help his grandson. Teaching his martial arts, but also the fact that it was Dre who asked him teach him. Dre knew his grandfather outside of serving in the military also trained in martial arts.

With permission from his parents Jynn learned martial arts, training in the arts since the age of five. But on his 16th birthday, something tragic happened, while away with his grandfather, Dre received a call from the police explaining that his parents were shot. Both of them were in critical condition, but were pulling through. Dre made it back home and stayed with both his parents those coming weeks. Helping where he could, but also using this to finally make him decide what he wanted to do. Dre took what he's learned and created something of a practical hand to hand style mixing the multiple styles he's learned along with the parkour that he does. He has had run ins with small time gang members in Gotham, but also he's learned his home city from top to bottom as well as other cities when he was able to travel. Dre now works at a rec center during the day and does some gang related street cleaning in the evening.

Personality:

Dre can be a bit of a goofball at times, he enjoys trying to put smiles on faces which is why he works at the Rec Center in Gotham. He is a bit territorial, mainly meaning that he protects those who are around him, friends, family, and just people who deserve that protection. He doesn't go out looking for trouble but is able to spot it and watch to make sure others aren't in the cross fire. Willing yourself to stand up and do whats right in any city is hard to do. Putting yourself at risk for the sake of others and not being recognized for it isn't easy by any means. Knowing that you will not be rewarded but still wanting to what you feel is right shows either your crazy or have a sense of justice to do whats right. Dre is one of these people willing to stand against evil and injustice.

Computers:
By no means is Dre a professional hacker or anything higher. What he is though is someone who knows his way around computers. Building, doing tech support, and knowing programs. As well as knowing how to upload, and download movies, pictures and so on.

Cooking:
Dre is a pretty good cook, having studied for a time and doing some classes as Gotham City Community College. He isn't a chef but Dre is a very good cook, something that he pretty much only do for himself or his family during special occasions. There aren't many people he tells, but allowing himself to express himself in the kitchen is something that he loves. His food is good and if he really put his time into it could possibly make a living as a cook.

Martial Arts:
Dre has been learning various forms of kung fu since the age of 5 and hasn't stopped or showed any signs of stopping. His master has continued to improve the number of styles that Dre knows. At the age of 15 Dres training intensified as his sensei had begun training him in an advanced form of Wing Chun Kung a fighting style which is older and more of a family only style. Dre is a capable fighter and he more or less can handle up to 3 people at one time or a few skilled fighters at one time. Still he wouldn't recommend it.

Parkour:
This is a skill that Dre has learned, that allows him to be able to pretty much run where he wants. It's pretty demanding and is discipline like any other art. It relies on precision, fluidity, control as well as balance and spatial awareness. It includes primarily running, jumping, vaulting, along with climbing and a bit of acrobatics.

Stealth:

Having the ability to hide and sneak around some of the more tougher areas in the hood is a must. He doesn't know more than just that at the moment. He utilizes his surroundings when attempting to hide.

Job:

Dre works at the Gotham Rec Center, where he work as one of the grounds keeper and mentor. He helps with cleaning and keeping equipment working, as well making sure the center stays clean. For what he does and the Manager liking him, he makes a pretty decent amount which monthly about $2000 a month. Also the very top of the recenter was never really used due to the basement being very large, and one of the older managers used the top as their apartment which now Dre uses as his apartment.

Weaknesses

Beginner:
Dre hasn't really had a lot of experience when it comes to trying to be the hero type. He has no resources, he's on a budget with what he makes from his rec center job. He's a trained martial artist in quite a few kung fu forms, but he's far from unbeatable. His inexperience has caused him to be badly hurt, especially when he gets in over his head trying to be a hero or trying to help others.

Gangs:
Dre is known by some gang members in Gotham City, since he's stopped more than a few of them from a variety of petty crimes. I.E. (robbing stores, mugging people, recruiting kids into their gangs). Quite a few of them actively are looking to get back at him.

Parents:

Dre has both parents whom he loves and worries about him. He worries about the gang members he's fought and also worry about them trying to figure out what he does late at night. His parents are both detectives for GCPD and have been for a while, but because of this, he's sometimes targeted more so, or his parents. This bothers him greatly due to any of them coming under attack.
