Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Shadowcat

Spider-Man has posed:
Christmas morning isn't Peter's /favorite/ morning, but it's up there on a fairly steep list. The Christmas Story is already playing on repeat on the television set to TBS and Pete is padding around in a brand new pair of Santa Claus PJs with bunny slippers he got at Aunt Mays house the night before. Kitty probably got a pair too! It's a tradition at the Parker house to get a gift of some kind of sleep wear and a movie on Christmas Eve and while May knows Kitty is Jewish, she still gets gifts!

It's tradition!

So there he is, padding around the living room with his shaggy hair a frightful mess, stumbling towards the kitchen area to get coffee brewing. The apartment itself is decorated in a mix of Hanukah and Christmas, sometimes to almost inappropriate effectiveness, but there's always a Star Wars theme. The Christmas tree, with menora candle ornaments (see?!) has a Baby Yoda tree topper, for instance.

Shadowcat has posed:
The sound of the shower stops running and before long Kitty comes through the wall, wearing a towel and heading for the closet. "Isn't this like the best morning of the year?" she asks. "Even though I'm not Christian, I love the tree and all," she says. "And plus I get to lord it over everyone else I've got five more days of gifts left."

She slips back into her Christmas pajamas though, just to stay in the mood. Kitty dons a Santa hat, and slips one on Lockheed as well. She moves over to join Peter in the kitchen, reaching up to work her fingers through his hair. That's exactly why she hit the shower first thing. "Morning. And Merry Christmas. And Happy Hanukah," she tells him, going up on her toes to give him a morning kiss. Brushed her teeth too.

"So I noticed Santa left a few more presents under the tree," she says. There's a few more than when they went to sleep.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter is by no stretch of the imagination what someone would mistake as a morning person. That said, he does get a little pep in his step when he sees Kitty beepbooping towards him, even grinning as he pours some coffee and turns to lean a palm back against the edge of the counter. "It's a fine tree." He says as if he cut it down himself, which he did not do, since it is plastic..

Leaning in to return the kiss, he has not brushed his teeth and has drank coffee. It is a poor combination! And he's being gross and breathing it all over her, very deliberately.

Every word is stretched out into a sentence, "Maaaaarrrrryyyyy Chrrrrrrrrriiiiiiissssssss-muuuuuuuuuusssss.." Weirdo.

Glancing then to the tree and the new presents with a raised brow, "One.. you must have drugged me! Two... did you check them for bombs.. Don't ask why you should check strange packages delivered to my home address for bombs, it's a long story and you'll insist we move.. and I sublet."

Shadowcat has posed:
Peter is given a smile that stretches ear to ear. And just how much she loves him can be read from the fact she endures his coffee-laced dragon breath, and with only one or two small, completely NOT exaggerated coughs. Maybe a wave of her hand too.

She slides her arms around him. "No bombs this time. I interrogated thoroughly. Turns out he is mildly lactose intolerant, but still appreciates the gesture of the milk and cookies," she shares.

"Getting out of bed without waking you is pretty easy," says the girl who can phase. "Getting back in? Well let's face it, you were dead to the world," she teases him, giving Peter's ribs a little tickle. "So any other Parker family Christmas traditions I need to learn about?" she asks him. And not even threatening that she'll confirm them with May.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter sips a bit more coffee and sets the mug off to the side of the counter so his arms are free to enclose around Kitty when she does the same, "Well good, that old skallywag has been pilfering my cookies for a score of years... they can say whatever they want, but a white bearded pirate in a magical sled sounds like the legends of yore to me..." Squirming only slightly at the rib pokes, rubbing his nose in against Kits as he passes over towards the couch to lounge ou with a big yawn.

"Ugh, man.. I love Christmas, like I do... the whole holiday season from October to January is just awesome, but it's so exhausting.." Hands up and back towards her, grabby motions for her to come over and lay with him before they start opening an exchanging ifts. "Yes, there is an old Parker tradition of pre-present macking.. don't bother asking Aunt May, Uncle Ben swore her to secrecy under pain of death."

Shadowcat has posed:
The sound of a loud yawn and then the shake of a little body that causes a collar and tags to rattle announcers that Jester is awake. Kitty laughs and pauses first to give the growing dog a double ear-rub. "Merry Christmas, Jester," she tells him. She goes over to where four stocking are hanging, pulling a small flavored rawhide chew out of the one marked "Jester" and bringing it over to him. "Here you go," she tells him with another little rub, before then moving over to join Peter.

Kitty eyes him as she stands by the couch. "I'm finding this tradition both of questionable veracity, but intriguing prospects," she tells him. "But... ah, no. Not unless you..." she looks around. She grabs a candy cane out of Peter's stocking and tosses it to him. "It's that, or brush your teeth," she tells him, crossing her arms like she's prepared to make him wait all day for the Parker traditional Christmas macking.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter watches the interplay between Kitty and Pupper with an amused grin, half laying over the arm of the couch and nearly upsidedown in the process. He does shift up as Kitty comes up to lord over him, though, and hears out her counter points with a collected deliberateness that only a true scientist could muster in such precarious a work environment...

"Ah, yes, I see your argument here and I empathize with your decision, but I offer this point-" Two fingers press the digital face of his wrist watch, which quickly converts into his webshooter, and fires a ling directly up at Kitty's chest to attempt yank her down onto the couch with him. "Ergo..."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty is all proud of herself, arms crossed and stoicly- ACK! She's pulled forward, letting her balance go intentionally to land on Peter. If not too hard, not too gently either. She knows he can take it.

She breaks out in a laugh and protests, "Now if I have to explain the web stains on my Christmas pajamas to May..." Not that there will be stains. Kitty phases the web out of the way and sets it aside. Up on the coffee table. After poor Jester wrapped himself up in a stray bit of web, they've had to be careful about those in the house.

Kitty pulls out the candy cane and tries to gently force it into Peter's mouth, like a nurse taking temperature the old fashioned way. "I've got mint and chocolate ones I've been giving out," she says of the candy cane. "Big box for the kids at the school."

She leans in to nuzzle her face against Peter. "So, I have to show you the Hanukah gifts from Doug," she says. She's been grinning about something since Hanukah started, and this might be it.

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete is a tough cookie, it is true. He weathers the raining Kittys with nery a complaint, but he protests the candy cane, mostly for show, by turning his head away and buttoning down his lips into a thin line. "MUH UH!" Shaking his head to keep it from being plopped in between his lips until he ultimately accepts it with a big grin.

Both arms close in around her, easily pulling her up onto the couch with him while propping himself up on the palm of his hand. "Yeah, I've noticed you've been grinning a lot the last few days.. I figured you'd found some side guy that I'd to eventually fight Scott Pilgram style." Fingers waving in a cog-wheel fashion. "Let's see it, what's this gift? If it's ticks to the first private moon landing Imma be reaaaaal pissed at Doug."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty laughs and takes a few minutes to snuggle into the hug she's given. "Thank you for giving me a wonderful half a year together," she tells Peter while looking into his eyes. A soft kiss follows. Just on the lips. He needs more time with the candy cane!

Kitty reaches over to the coffee table where she has a folder. She opens it up and pulls out a painting. It's of Lockheed wearing a velvet smoking jacket, looking back over his shoulder in a way that could be called come hither, certainly by dragon standards.

Kitty pulls out a second painting. This one is of Lockheed lying on his side on a bearskin rug, arm covering up his groin in imitation of the famous Burt Reynolds poster. Next she pulls out another painting, this time it's Lockheed in a bubble bath, the bubbles covering up just enough to keep him decent. If he had dragon parts that needed covering in the places that humans do, at least. "I get the feeling there's one for each day," she says with a laugh, not having opened today's yet.
