Re-meeting Over Pizza

Location:	Random New York pizza place
Synopsis:	Gar and Conner meet to catchup when they realize both now live in NY

Superboy has posed:
A couple days ago Conner saw a twitter from Gar about him being now in New York. He really should pay more attention to his chats, but man... that is almost like work. Besides, there was no coverage in the Savage Land.

So he sent him a message: Dude. I am also in NY. Want to go for pizza?

That got them started. Now they are munching pizza at one of those vaguely Italian-looking places. Upscale neighbor, so it should be good. Like they would know the difference. Pizza is pizza. "So. I got here maybe 6 weeks ago. I needed to move on after... stuff. New York is pretty cool. More varied than Metropolis, I think. You never know what is behind the next corner. And I met this really hot girl, and maybe I will try college next fall. What about you?"

He still talks and talks no stop. Amazing he finally gave Gat an opening.

Beast Boy has posed:
And because of that Gar TAKES it and RUNS!

"Maybe college. Some acting classes for sure. Met a cat. He's great. Orange. Which is like epic. Hired to help me do PR stuff cause I can't take selfies when I'm a puppy. Or a cat. Or a trex. The arms are TOO small. Finished a movie several months ago. Heard this was a happening place, like you. Who's this hot girl though? Dude. If my Cat ever stops being afraid of his own tail and asks me out, wanna double date? That would be rad!"

Superboy has posed:
Conner takes advantage of the pause to eat another slice of pizza. And a second one. All while nodding at Gar's words. "What movie?" His attempt to interrupt fails. More nodding. More pizza. Then notices something and snerks. "-You- met an orange cat? Was his name also Garfield?" Oh wait, he is dating the cat? Confused.

But Gar made the right question. "Rose. Her name is Rose. She is one of us... I mean, she has powers." He explains. "She knows kung-fu and how to fly a plane, too. She is a bouncer in a nightclub but takes days off to go adventuring all over the world. We went looking for undersea treasures to the Mediterranean, then to investigate stuff to a crazy place called the Savage Land. I think she is trying to get rich, and she is going to manage sooner or later. She is good."

Beast Boy has posed:
"Pete's Dragon. Remake of a remake, which makes it best. I was the dragon. Big, furry, green. right up my alley!" Garfield replies warmly before laughing.

"No! His name's Tommy. Like a tom cat. Made me laugh," replies the green one, reaching for another slice. Not able to go as fast or eat as much as conner, Gar is not bothered by this.

"ooh, treasure hunters are HOT. Maybe we can go next time? Sounds fun, anyway."

Superboy has posed:
And Conner probably doesn't really need to eat as long as he has enough sunlight. But no one would believe that seeing him go over pizza! "Sure, if we can manage the double date we can ask her to include you in the next thing," agrees the young man. "It might be risky, though. I found Kryptonite last time, and the Savage Land doesn't have real sunlight. Things got complicated for a few days. And it took longer to get back than planned. Still... it was great, she is great."

Beast Boy has posed:
"Gotta wait for Tom. He's still figuring things out. Maybe we can just hang as super friends? Still, I think it'd be fun," Garfield entones, nodding his head so sagely.

Superboy has posed:
Conner nods, considering it. Truth is Rose is so very much the action-girl, kickass type that if this Tom friend of Gar that seems in the shy side is probably not going to get along well with her. But one never knows. He is willing to try. "Yeah, hang out might work. Maybe go to a movie, or to the beach."

Beast Boy has posed:
"Hm... His AC's out in his building. And he's a cat. Lots of fur. So, I'd vote movie, just so I dont' embarass him too much in tryingto help him desand himself. Plus, hot. So, movie. Just not one I've been in please?"

Superboy has posed:
"Why not? Your movies are a lot of fun," and Conner has questionable tastes in movies. Namely, everything as long it has action. "But okay. You can pick the place. I will try to convince Rose. I am... not really sure we have had a normal date ever." Pause, "I doubt she would want to go seriously into dating with me, anyway," he adds with some regret. "Oh well. She is fun anyway. Great dancer."

Beast Boy has posed:
"Great dancer! Dude!" Gar exclaims, hands going wide to the side as if his sudden Bright Idea were obvious to EVERYONE. he waits, expcectant and then.

"We go dancing!"

Superboy has posed:
Conner blinks slowly. "You know, the kind of... I gotta show you the club she works in. The Tunnel. Then you might change your mind. Place is pretty hardcore." He grins, finishing the pizza. "Want to have another? I got the impression I ate like two thirds," he looks slightly guilty. "Maybe bread-sticks?"

Beast Boy has posed:
"Oh... strip club? Yeah. Maybe not, but I can ask Tommy?" Garfield offers before looking at the crumbs of the pizza then shaking his head, "You have them, man. I'm pretty full. No doubt I'll be hungry again after I shift a few times, but right now..?" Garfield stretched back on a happy gurgle of a sigh. "If I food coma, will you super jump me to my hotel room?"

Superboy has posed:
"Nono, not a strip club," protests Conner, grinning. "Just kind of underground, loud, and a rough crowd." Not a place for a romantic date if that is what Gar was looking for. He stands up, giving Gar an amused glance. "Can't you turn into a bird or something? I don't super-jump, dude, I can fly for reals."

Beast Boy has posed:
"Oh... ok. I'll mention that to him then. See what he's down for," Garfield comments from flat on his back, grinning because a date doesn't have to be romantic to be epic. Asked about the bird thing, Gar lifts his arms, hands limp.

"Too full. Carry me! Wait... dude, for reals? When did THAT grow in? That's boss!"

Superboy has posed:
Conner shrugs. "Kryptonian powers keep kicking up. I am getting stronger I guess." The young man folds his arms, mock-scowling at Gar. "You, on the other hand, are getting lazy in your old age."

Rolling his eyes, he grabs Garfield by the scruff of his neck and drags him to stand up. "I have no idea where is your hotel, anyway."

Beast Boy has posed:
Garfield squeaks at the scruff of the neck hold, wiggling a bit to be let down to his feet.

"It's the Mariott across town. I've got another week, then I clear out. I've got my eyes on an apaprtment, but haven't put down for it yet. I should probably do that.... Thanks for getting me to my feet!" Garfield snickers, patting his stomach. "Food baby."
