Lois Lane has posed:
It's been a few weeks and Lois has been tirelessly running around, trying to gather more useful information on Superman's Whereabouts. It's no longer a question of IF he's a alive, but WHERE he's being kept and how to rescue him. After a rather eye-opening meeting with Thor, Lois had promised to contact the Avengers once she knew more. And now she does.

So, without further ado, she has used her contacts to get ahold of as many active members as she can..Because time is running out..And maybe now they can actually find him and save him..Hopefully.

She's currently on the rooftop of The Daily Planet, sitting at a patio table, laptop computer open along with numerous files and documents as she waits patiently for someone from the Avengers to join her so she can hand over important information. Now all she has to do is hope they heed her call.

Nick Fury has posed:
Nick Fury is here. In the background. He was here before Lois arrived on the roof, and has been waiting, watching, and wondering about all of this. His eye looks over Ms. Lane carefully, wondering what the Man of Steel saw in her. Perhaps it was her perseverence. Strength of character. Morale compass. Willpower. Or mayber her spirit? Whatever it was, she was obviously doing her best to find him.

Fury remains silent, in the darkness, and behind the scenes, wanting to wait and see who showed up, and if he needed to get involved to assist them in finding the Last Son of Krypton or if they had discovered enough to find him. He had intercepted Lois's call to the Avengers, and to SHIELD. So. Waiting.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Natasha arrives via Widow's Line, swinging over from a nearby building where she left the Quinjet. That giant globe atop the Daily Planet had prohibited parking properly there. Thus, she was forced to swing across like a certain webslinger might have done.

Other SHIELD agents who had been with her when the call came in were invited along for the meeting. If this was that important, they might need all the resources they could and she trusted these few to keep their mouths shut. Unlike some rookie agents she had left behind at the Triskelion without any explanation for her sudden departure from combat training. "Ms. Lane. We came right over."

Iron Man has posed:
Stark isn't subtle. Not now, not ever.

There's a lot of activity down on the street level by the Daily Planet, when one of the sleek Stark augmented sportscars parks in some of the reserved parking (sorry Assistant Editor). The white car looks very similar to a Devel Sixteen, but has some modifications to the nose design, and the sleek detailing along the back fins is in keeping with Stark's personal adjustments to some of his most recent armor. It gleams in the parking lot as Tony hops out, flipping the door shut, and approaches the planet like he does this all the time.

Tony does, in fact, talk to the press a lot. And immediately gets hung up as he enters the building: because there's assumptions that he's there to make some insane announcement or impromptu press conference, and chose the Planet as the site.

Tony may be up to the roof soon. Or eventually...

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi's here in her SHIELD guise. She's got her tactical suit on, with anything she may need. Cause she's come prepared to find out just what is going on ad isn't taking chances. Stun weapons, lethal stuff, her staves, various bugs and recorders aplenty. She's done her best to cover all her bases if things go any which way.

She's even taken the stairs. Because that's totally a Bobbi thing to do. So she looks deadly serious as she's a few steps from entering the patio, looking around and keeping a watching eye on her surroundings. She doesn't want to get surprised, and her sunglasses are on. Bobbi has her game face on. Never, ever play poker with SHIELD agents. Especially the higher ups

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane does not spy a Nick Fury, because let's be honest, he's really good at not being seen when he wants to. And so she continues to wait patiently until Natasha arrives, and she is of course the first to announce her arrival. Lois smiles, rising from her seat, crossing the rooftop to join her. Wait, isn't that Spiderman's trademark MO? She smirks slightly at the 'Widow Line' but says nothing..Is Lois the only one these days to take the elevator to the rooftop? But this is why she called in the big guns afterall.

"Ms. Romanoff. Thank you for coming on such short notice. I'm ever so grateful you were able to make it.." She glances around, spying a flashy sports car down below and, judging by the crowds that gather around the VIP who steps out, she can only guess that it's another Avengers member..By the looks of it..Tony Stark himself? Well that's good..

"Alright. I should wait a little for the others to get here but. I dunno if or how much Thor filled you in on this. I know that Superman is now alive, but barely hanging on. Plus I know generally where he is being kept. And now, thanks to..An anonymous benefactor..I have some 'classified' inside information on how to get in and hopefully out of ARGUS, which is where he is being kept.."

And then Bobbi arrives and she smiles and nods to her, but doesn't seem particularly familiar with her. "Hello, are you with SHIELD as well? It's..Ms. Morse, yes? Thank you for coming."

Nick Fury has posed:
The shadows are where he was most comfortable. Nick Fury allows himself a moment...a brief revelation that he was there to anyone looking real hard...a snap-thisssss-shhhh, the sound of burning as he lights a cigar, a very nice cigar. In the shadows, one red-yellow circle appears briefly as he inhales, and exhales a nimbus of smoke, all around him.

Nick Fury's "good" eye scans the area, noting everyone present. On his other eye is an eyepatch, doing the same thing, except it had a special function that sent his mind significant data on all those present. Right now, he didn't reveal himself, but his inhalation once again reveals the circular burning circle, and then the exhale, the smoke once more. So, everyone was present. He listens to the Reporter, and frowns. The Kryptonian was alive. That was a new piece of information. Interesting...

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"I haven't spoken with Thor for some time now. Been busy on the SHIELD side of the fence instead of the Avengers," Natasha admits with a brief shrug. Wearing two hats can get a little exhausting but she wouldn't have it any other way. Like many people in their line of work, down time isn't something she is fond of. It gives too much time to think.

"Superman's alive? Argus?" That name is one she's heard before whispered in shadows.

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi nods. "Special Agent Morse. SHIELD" she introduces herself then falls quiet to listen. While the reporter speaks, Morse is quiet, thinking, making mental notes. "So you're saying he's alive? And you have information?" Bobbi asks putting a metaphorical foot out there to test the waters so to speak. She's unsure quite where this is going to go. So...

Iron Man has posed:
Tony uses the elevator too, Lois.

Tony Stark appears out of said elevator, with several items. He's acquired a fresh sub sandwich and a coffee on his parade through the Planet, and comes strolling out towards the group, fashionably late. He's dressed immpecably for, perhaps, a press conference, in a sleek navy suit with a slight, subtle silvered pattern, with some orange-tinted glasses that scream of technology beyond just eye protection.

"Coffee?" Tony offers the drink to Black Widow as he approaches, as if he'd thoughtfully brought it for her, clearly expecting her to take it off his hands. Or at least is making some semblence of sharing his bounty with the whole class. "I make no guarantees on quality." The sandwich, though, is obviously his, and not being offered over.

Tony is, in fact, up on the conversation (that's what Avenger comms are for!), and is able to have made his surprised-face in the elevator. So everyone gets to miss it, and instead gets, "So, rescue mission, with or without guns blazing. I won't be doing guns, there's plenty here already." A pause as he checks Natasha and Bobbi. "Or batons? Both?"

Tony doesn't let it bother him, or slow him. "Hook me up with the info, we'll get on it. I'm entirely over my space-flu, so you've got me." And clearly Iron Man is a vital asset. Simple as that, right? Tony's self-confidence often is infecting. Clearly not a problem, why would it be?...

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane nods. "Yes, indeed.." she draws a breath, and Natasha may just notice subtle bags under her eyes. This whole Superman death thing has definitely taken it's toll on her. Furthermore, trying to uncover the truth has cost her many sleepless nights.

She smiles as Tony makes his appearance, quite relieved that he is here. Afterall, isn't he the brains behind the operation? "Mr. Stark. A pleasure to finally meet you." she nods, grabbing the precious USB from her purse and handing it over. "I figured you'd be able to make the best use of this. It was given me by an anonymous benefactor, who wished to remain anonymous, given the nature of the situation.."

Lois does not elaborate on that further, although it may well be self explanatory. "Suffice to say that my unexpected benefactor managed to somehow..Acquire classified information on ARGUS, its security systems, the layout of the facility, apparently anything you will need to get in and out..Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure where exactly Superman is being kept, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out..Some sort of containtment facility?"

She smiles, "I just want to thank you all for helping out..He is running out of time, but if anyone can save him..It's you guys.."

Nick Fury has posed:
"I only have a few minutes, but it is good you are going after him, Ms. Lane." Nick Fury walks out of the shadows, picking his moment perfectly to have the best effect on everyone there. "I am impressed you have come this far. My congratulations."

"I received intelligence that ARGUS had taken the body of the Man of Steel, and had hidden him in their lair not far from the place where he was buried. That information you have there on that drive Ms Lane...is confirmed. There have been some setbacks, but they are going to do exactly what you describe. They will be moving him. Soon. You need to get in and get him. Fast. Suicide Squad will be there to stop you."

Fury puts the cigar in his mouth, inhales, then removes it with an exhale. "Now, SHIELD cannot get involved in what is inherently an internal United States military situation." His voice reveals his distaste for ARGUS and what they have done. "However..." His one good eye looks at Natasha and at Bobbi, each in turn and was that a flash of...pride in them? "I certainly cannot prevent the Avengers from getting involved." Giving them both his non-official approval.

"I expect that Mr. Stark will look after my Agents, and that he will do his best to rescue this super "hero" from the clutches of a very, very bad organization." Fury looks at Stark, and subtley nods. Once. "Right. This should narrow down your search, Ms. Lane. He is being transferred via armored convoy on the date and time on this flash drive. Encrypted of course." His eye finds Stark once more. "Child's Play for the Iron Man to narrow down the search I think. You all need to stop them."

Fury tosses the flash drive in Lois' direction and turns to leave. Before he disappears, he pauses, and looks over at his shoulder with his good eye. "Lois." That was a first. Fury never uses first names, unless he meant to say something important. "I am truly sorry. I didn't know he was still..." There was a flash of anguish on his face...or was there? It was gone so fast. "Good luck. You have our best Agents at your disposal. Agent Morse, Agent Romanoff. Good luck."

Then, he was gone, into the shadows...how did he do that?

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Natasha falls silent, listening. As for helping to deal with the situation, she's never been one to play by the rules. Having Fury give his blessing makes her smirk slightly but other than that she remains silent. For now. She leaves it to Tony and Fury to deal with the details.

Iron Man has posed:
"Put it there, please," Tony directs of Lois's offering of flash drive. Tony hates being handed things, even when his hands aren't full. Patio furniture can hold Tony's sandwich: in fact, he sits /down/ on one of the chairs and puts his items down, to draw out his mobile device, and then attach a lead to the flash drive.

"I'll pull SHIELD's side of goodies down on my own," Tony says, waving towards Lois for her to keep the one Fury gave her. Whether or not she'd intended to share, Tony's being a director and leader. It's just his thing... he'll automatically step up, a lot of the time.

Interesting displays flutter out across Tony's glasses, and he directs through things with a bored manner... and unwraps part of the sandwich to get a bite, one-handed. He's on the case: in his frustratingly relaxed, multi-tasking way. To someone unfamiliar with him it might feel a little disrespectful: but it isn't, he'll get things moving. Arrogant and obnoxious, but dependable, yes.

"Look after your agents? Yep, Fury. Both eyes." Zing.

Mockingbird has posed:
Bobbi's listening, too. The Morse is listening. This isn't adding up for her. She's still ready to head out, however...

Somehow, Fury's blessing makes it easier to not play by the rules....sort of.

Still despite that, despite Fury's blessing...Morse is just a touch worried. Not a shocker really given how Bobbi is.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane blinks slowly as Fury makes his presence known..Surprise quickly changes to a slight smirk however. "Mr. Fury. A pleasure. How long have you been standing there...?"

And then he tosses a wrench into the plan, and she blinks a few times. "Wow, they're gonna move him? Dammit.." But hey, that'd kinda make things a bit easier maybe?" biting her lip, she grabs the flash drive and nods. "Er..Thank you..?" And then he's suddenly gone.

"Geez, that guy..Is he always so..Mysterious?" she glances towards Natasha and Bobbi as she says that. Surely they're used to his shadowy habits?

Glancing back to Tony, she arches a brow, but nods, placing it on the table next to him. "Alright, and this one..?" she glances curiously at the one Fury handed her. "Err, I guess I'll take a look, see what we can gather from it. "Please let me know what else you need me to do.." she looks to Tony for leadership, mostly because he usually seems to know the next step to take.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
As Nat takes a sip of the coffee she'd accepted, she doesn't make a face though it is as strong as an Asgardian. Stuff may be three days old. It's a little on the thick side.

To be honest, reminds her of Russia. Not bad at all.

As Tony and Fury take things in hand, she considers a moment then glances at Lois' question. "He's always like that. You get used to it. Course, some of us can be the same way so we try not to point fingers," she admits with another shrug.

Iron Man has posed:
"He might be Batman. Unconfirmed," Tony deadpans. Even if he knows very well that he's not. "The only identity I'm going to uncover is my own."

Tony casts a quick side look to Lois over his glasses, which churn in an interesting array of moving Heads Up Display. "Honestly? Grab a nap. Share a bed with Prince Valium if you have to," a wink follows. "It'll be a bit of time to sort through everything, and then access all the data and surviellence off my own systems and satillites to correllate. You did a big part," Tony says, then looks away, back to his sandwich. "Maybe also a sandwich, this is great. Maybe a bit too much mustard, but we can't all be perfect."

Tony finishes with Lois's drive, and flips it towards Bobbi, in case SHIELD folks want it next, and then gets to his feet. "Good meeting. Next time, Avengers mansion, though, mmmkay? I'll be at my tower, then back to the mansion late," Tony comments offhandedly to whoever is interested, and then flashes a quick smile around, starting to swan off with his sandwich.

Lois Lane has posed:
"Heh." she smirks at Natasha, "Good to know. Maybe he IS Batman.." Lois chuckles at Tony's deadpan. "Honestly, you superhero types.." she just clicks her tongue, shaking her head. But hey, it's good to know she can count on them in the pinch.

"Yes, I suppose it will be." Lois frowns a moment as she peers at the drive, drawing a deep breath. "Alright, and I'd be delighted to pay a visit sometime!"

She grins and winks, "So. Thank you all, for coming, I wish you luck. And I will continue to do research on this end. I suppose...It may be wise to keep news of his not being dead all hush hush from the press. For now.." well hey, she IS the press, but you know what she really means - out of the news.
