Darkness and Light
Date of Scene: 14 April 2020
Location: Lobby, Titans Tower
Synopsis: Kori and Raven catchup and hang out
Cast of Characters: Raven, Starfire

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth has been oft-absent of late, dealing with various things that are probably best unmentioned but lead her into a few screaming corners of hellish abandon, the kind of thing she actually likes when it doesn't threaten the lives and sanity of the mortal world. But she's dealt with that now and returned home to the Tower.

When the security shows her Starfire has arrived, Rachel comes down to greet her, floating in lotus position as the darkness wraps around her, the jewel at her forehead gleaming with purple-black light, her pale skin almost glowing in her darkness.

"Welcome, Princess. I have missed you. I guess." she says in her deadpan fashion.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r walks into the Tower, sighing softly. "Hello, Friend Raven." She impulsively moves to grab a hug, then pulls back. "Oh - right - you have... ummmm..." She frowns. "Boundary issues, or so you tell me." She then smiles faintly. "How are you?" she asks curiously, as she wonders how long it'll take the Silkie to discover her presence.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth looks sideways, "I am trying to do better about that, so if you wish to hug me, you may. I appreciate the intention of affection," she says.

"I am content enough. I have finished a bit of personal business, so I am returning formally to rejoin the Titans. Has anything passed recently I should be aware of?" she asks, letting her legs settle on the ground, although she's a bit shorter than the space princess.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly. "It has been... quiet of late. Many have left for various reasons - few have sent word and fewer have been seen since." She shrugs. "There have not been much threats of late either. So - everything is... quiet. Would you care for refreshment?" sheasks.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth narrows her eyes suspiciously, "I have some knowledge of your tastes in refreshment, Koriand'r. I can provide my own libations. Still, yes, we should relax and enjoy one another's company. I am not good at that, but I am working on it, too," she says. "Perhaps we could...order a pizza and watch a program about dating on the television."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r smiles faintly. "It is not my fault that I react to flavors differently. BUt pizza is the great equalizer - one of hte few things we both desire." She then gets her phone and places a delivery order.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth shakes his head, "I place no blame upon you, but I know better than to try and savor some of your favored refreshments. It is not personal. I, for example, like sushi, but I know others who find it revolting,' she says.

She floats over to the couch and settles in, operating the television to try and scan through teh various offerings.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods as she is ready to go get the pizza when the delivery driver gets to the edge of the harbor closest to the Tower where one of the flight-capable member of the Titans usually goes to get it. "I understand. Many hew-mon refreshments are unappealing to me too." She drawls out the word 'human'.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth nods, "Humans are odd," she says, half-demon that she is. She summons a cola and takes a long sip of it, "There is The Bachelor and Temptation Island and something called 'NCIS', which i don't think is even a word..." she says.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "That last one I believe is some kind of crime drama. I think I've seen it before." She shrugs as she gets the notification and flies out to get the pizza. She brings it back as she sets it on the table. "Here it is."

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth takes a slice of pizza and blows over the surface of the top, lest she burn her tongue, "Did they give any of the red peppers? I enjoy the red peppers. A little pain often makes things more enjoyable," she says, watching as she settles onto the Bachelor, "These mating rituals are very odd."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "Human mating rituals are odd. But most of the time it takes little more than an attractive person luring a mate to a secluded corner." She sounds like she knows what she's talking about as she tosses some peppers Rachel's way. She then grins and squirts some mustard on her pizza.

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth sighs, "I would not know," she says. "I mean, I have...in the past, but it has been a very long time. I am not easy and not everyone finds me attractive. I am sure it is much easier for you," she says, sticking to cheese dip for her pizza crusts.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly. "Well, let's agree to disagree on that. Many would find you attractive. Including me." She winks as she works on her mustard-tainted pizza. "If you were intersted in such pursuits, ther would be a way to make it so."

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth isn't much for blushing, but she does just a little bit, "I..." she starts to say, then isn't sure what to say at first. "I am pleased you think so," she admits, glancing over at the beautiful princess before focusing back on the television, "This man is not worth all these women fighting over."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r shrugs. "I agree. He is not very attractive. It is a scripted show. Kind of like that wrestling show that Friend Cyborg always watches. I understand that it is extremely fake." She nods slowly. "The phrase 'reality television' is oxymoronic."

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth nods, 'I agree. This is not realistic. These women would be better off dating each other," she says. She finally finishes her portion of the pizza, settling properly on the couch with her legs crossed.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods, licking her lips. "Yes - that would be an entertaining program. But perhaps more suitable for a more... adult-oriented channel. Anyway." She smiles softly. "What is your favorite variety of television?"
