Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane is back at the Daily Planet, working on something al ittle lower key this time, since the whole Rescuing Superman fiasco. She's out on the rooftop patio again, enjoying the warm spring weather which is a lot more refreshing than being cooped up in her little office.

Things had been fairly quiet since Superman had been rescued, although she hadn't really talked to him since then, wnating to give him room to recover and sort things out..Who knows what sort of trauma he underwent while in that facility? And of course she had lots of questions but those can wait.

For now, she enjoys a little cool lemonade as she watches the skyline, munching on a sandwich during her lunchbreak.

Superman has posed:
From a distance, Superman can tell that Lois had come out on the patio on the rooftop of the Daily Planet building. Pausing for a few seconds, he considers whether or not to speak to her at this time. With a slight smile and a sigh, he moves towards the building, being careful not to cause a commotion with breaking the sound barrier.

Floating downward slowly to land on the rooftop, Superman settles without even bending his knees, and looks over at Lois, his cape fluttering in the breeze. His eyes find hers, and he speaks up, calm and collected.

"Hello Ms. Lane. I wanted to come here and personally thank you for everything you did in getting me rescued from the clutches of that rogue Argus organization. Without your help, I would still be in their prison, being experimented on. Thank you." It was obvious he truly meant it, as there was a distinct emotional cast to the words.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane is perhaps not totally surprised when she sees Superman's arrival. It was only a matter of time before he recovered enough to drop by and say hi. There aren't a lot of people on the rooftop today, in fact she is the only one right now, but his sudden entrance after his apparent 'death' is bound to attract all sorts of attention sooner or later.

Still she smiles, a sparkle in her eye as she swiftly crosses the rooftop to join him, arms wrapping around him without hesitation in a tight, heartfelt hug. "Superman! You look well.." she smiles softly, pulling back to look up at him. "How are you feeling? We were all pretty worried, you know. I figured you wanted time alone, you know..Away from the maddening crowd and all that.."

There is sadness in her eyes there too. She really missed him..But she's doing a good job of being professional and all, as usual.

Superman has posed:
"Looking around to make sure no one else was here. It is just like you. Worried someone was going to interrupt us. Even though you would never admit it, Lois, you always think of others before yourself." Superman smiles as her arms wrap around him. Now close enough so they don't have to shout up here on the rooftop. A little windy, but actually pleasant weather.

Superman closes his eyes as she embraces him, reveling in the closeness he felt with her at that moment. He shares that embrace, for just a moment, as Lois then pulls away.

Smiling in return, Superman assures her with his words. "Thank you. I am okay. A little worse for wear, but if it wasn't for you, who knows where I'd be right now?" It was a rhetorical question of course. "How are you doing? You had to sacrifice a lot to get me out of there. Are you okay?"

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane laughs a bit and shrugs. "Me? I'm fine, heh, all in a day's work." Lois forces a smile and gives a little nochalant shrug, although her eyes tell a different story. "You know, I'm not a superhero, I wasn't out there getting beaten up by the bad guys." she laughs, shaking her head. "That's why I asked for other heroes to step up to the plate. They're the ones you should thank really, I just did the footwork.."

Her voice does shake a bit though, grabbing his hands. "You..You look really well, I'm relieved. It must have been a dream..No, a terrible nightmare.." she sniffs a bit, wiping away a stray tear. It wouldn't do any good to break down now, after she held back for so long but... "Didn't think I'd ever see you again, not alive.."

Superman has posed:
"That isn't what I heard. You were being shot at as well, by very elite mercenaries and villains, who could have easily have killed you. You were very lucky." Superman takes a deep breath, and lets it out. "I wasn't there to protect you." Superman than starts to chuckle. "This time, it was you doing the saving. I'll stop the lecture now."

Looking over himself, his costume in perfect order, his hair trimmed, his beard gone, everything was like it was back to normal. "I feel a good. Maybe not 100 percent, but I'm sure that is good enough for now."

Superman pauses, as Lois gets upset. "It was, but the nightmare is over. Thanks to you and our family and friends. I..." Moving closer again, Superman whispers. "It's okay Lois. I'm here now. Alive."

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane chuckles a bit, shrugging again. "Yeaah, I guess it was pretty dicey, but Superbody had our backs, me and my camerman." she smiles faintly. "Actually I was thinking I'd like to hold a little barbeque, thank everyone for helping out, welcoming you back, all that good stuff.."

She smiles faintly, her eyes still watery and she squeezes back more tears from falling, "Heh, look at you.." she reaches up to touch his face, noting the lack of beard. "You looked pretty hairy back there, never seen you with a beard before." Lois sniffs, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, I must look like such a mess right now, kept doing my best to be strong, keeping it in all that time...I really missed you, you know.."

Superman has posed:
"Your....cameraman. Right. I need to thank him next then. Surprised it wasn't Jimmy." Superman laughs, lightly, to brighten the moment, and says, "A BBQ! What a wonderful idea, Lois! I hadn't thought of that. I can make sure to...bring dessert." He almost said his Ma's apple pie.

Lois touching his face was...incredible. It just felt right. Looking down at her, Superman smiles, warmly and without holding back. Grabbing his chin and massaging it, Superman jokes, "Well. I was thinking about keeping it actually. Then saw myself in the mirror, and went, No! Plus, Krypto growled at me at first. It was pretty funny."

Superman takes a moment, to gently put his right hand on her shoulder. "You could never look "a mess" Lois." A pause. "I know. I missed you too. You were always in my thoughts...as a matter of fact, in my dreams as well. I had this interesting one, where we were in Valhalla or Asgard with Thor? It was...amazingly real. Brought me back I think."

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane shakes her head. "Nah, didn't want to get Jimmy involved, I'd already asked enough people to put their lives on the line for my sake. Besides, he was otherwise preoccupied. Brent was more than happy for a little action..And his camera came in real handy." she grins. "Dessert would be nice. I'll work on that, gotta figure out a good time and place. Heh, maybe the rooftop here, as this is where I met a lot of the heroes who swooped in to your rescue."

She shrugs, wiping away the tears more fiercely, smiling. "Really, I'm okay now, just needed to get it out of my system." hey, at least she's not wearing mascara, never really cared for the stuff.

"That was no dream, Superman..I was there, Thor took me. We found your spirit wandering around in this weird in-between place.." Lois sighs, "It was...Surreal. He said that the only way to find you and reunite you with your body was to find someone who was close to you.."

Superman has posed:
Superman nods as Lois explains the whole deal with the cameraman. Made sense. "We could have it at JL HQ here as well. Not the Satellite of course, but the Museum and old HQ. Might be more secure, in the back lot, than here where anyone could show up." Superman muses.

"I see..." The whole situation with Thor was strange to him. He never understood magic or mythology, even the super-science of Asgard. Strange, coming from a man who came from a super-science culture. "Well then. I will have to thank him as well."

Superman looks at Lois with a smile. "Well. Thor picked the perfect person then. You are close to me Lois." Superman says, before getting a distracted look on his face followed quickly by disappointment. "Very close...I..." Lois can tell he didn't want to leave, but something was happening, calling him away.

Lois Lane has posed:
Lois Lane chuckles and nods, "Yeah, that's true, wouldn't want to overhwelm you, although maybe that's just selfish of me. A lot of people love you, Superman. They need you, and I suppose they all want to see you with their own eyes."

She shrugs and smiles, a slight blush tinging her cheeks. "Well, I suppose we are..Friends, afterall.." who knows what else? "Yes, he's been a big help. They all have. I'll be looking forward to it.."

Lois arches a brow, recognizing that distracted look and her smile fades. But it would be selfish of her to keep him when he's needed elsewhere. "Trouble, huh?" she smiles and nods, "It's okay. Do what you have to do. The world will always need Superman. I think I 'm okay with that."

But before he does leave, Lois leans over to give hin a quick kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you soon..Try and stay out of trouble til then, hmm?" she grins and winks as she says that, because they both know that she's the trouble magnet around here!

Superman has posed:
Superman smiles as Lois heaps on the words that a lot of people love him. "I do my best Lois. I am here to help people. I wish I could help them all." Blinking at the kiss, Superman touches the place where she kissed him with his hand, smiling like a teenager. "That was...nice." He grins." We are friends, Lois. Close friends I hope."

Looking back in the direction he hears the cries coming from, Superman nods, and looks back to Lois. "Yes. There always seems to be someone in need." Superman starts to float above the ground, and adds, "Thank you Lois. For being there when I needed you. I'll try and stay out of trouble." With a wink, and a push, he was gone, leaving behind a little bit of a breeze, marking his passing.
